We arranged a 5-day self-driving tour in Kunming, rented a car from a certain hi, and picked up and returned the car from Changshui Airport. The car was booked before departure, and you could just pick it up when you arrive at the scene. Here, I would like to praise their self-service car pickup without having to contact the staff. It's a cure for a social fear like me.

Feeding seagulls at Haigeng Dam

I always thought that seagulls would only appear on real seashore. Unexpectedly, seagulls would actually appear in the sea in the center of the city. For example, at Haigeng Dam, I saw a lot of seagulls, even more than I saw on the beach.

Swarms of seagulls are flying on the sea. From a distance, they look like feathers floating on the sea. As they approached, they saw groups of seagulls.

We prepared bread in advance. Usually, seagulls do not go directly to people's mouths to grab food. Everyone puts the bread on the table. If people leave a little away, the seagulls will stand on the table and eat. They are very cute.

I have to say that the seagulls on the sea have become the most beautiful scenery here. This is the first time I have seen a seagull so close. Their red feet, white feathers and black tail feathers give them a lot of advanced and elegant.

The beauty of Cuihu Park

After leaving Haigeng Dam, we also went to Cuihu Park. There are also seagulls in Cuihu Park, but the number is not that many. For me, the most surprising thing was the little squirrels here. Although I saw squirrels in the zoo, it was the first time I saw squirrels in the scenic area.

These little squirrels will find nuts to eat and are very cute when eating.

The tulips in Cuihu Park bloom just right. For someone like me who loves flowers, it's like another New Year. Of course, there are not only tulips, but also roses. Red, yellow and pink roses decorate the entire park.

There were some fallen petals on the ground, and I picked up a few easily as a commemoration of my trip to Kunming.

A wonderful shopping trip

We also went to the Capital Outlets, and shopping during the trip was also a way for me to travel. The mall is the place where you can best contact local people. Every time I go to the mall, I feel closer to the life of local people, and I am very fascinated by this model. The Spring Festival has just passed, and the atmosphere of the New Year is everywhere. It is booming, and my mood is getting better.

I also watched a dragon dance performance here, but it was different from the dragons seen in the north. The dragon dance performance in the north is where everyone is inside the dragon's body. Through cooperation between people, it creates the feeling that only the dragon is moving. Here, the dragon's body is supported with a stick, and people use the stick to realize the dragon's galloping.

After that, we went to Xinrenren Seafood Restaurant, a restaurant recommended by locals in Kunming. The dishes inside were not expensive. There were three of us, and the total cost was only more than 200 yuan. (Note that this is authentic Cantonese food).

Although there were only three people, they ordered many dishes. Their chicken feet are really delicious, with a feeling that melts in the mouth.

In addition, the steamed dumplings in the store taste good. The important point is that the steamed dumplings in this store are also relatively large and feel quite affordable.

After eating, we went on to 1903. The weather in Kunming became a little colder on this day, so they put on thicker coats, and some people even wore down jackets.

There weren't many people here in 1903, and there were almost no people in many stores. It seems that at the beginning of the new year, everyone's desire to come out and play is not very strong.

We bought some random things in the store and went to Cuifu for dinner. At this time, we ate at the most luxurious restaurant in Kunming, and spent more than 800 yuan here. Of course, the dishes in the store taste really good. My eating habits over the past few years have once again felt that expensive restaurants are less likely to step on thunder.

The nine-story tower baked silver cod is super delicious. There is also a fragrant mango salad shrimp balls that taste very good. The flavor of mango is really strong, which is my favorite feeling. In addition, we also ordered black truffle cloth bags and something. In short, I couldn't stop ordering at all. It is also extremely enjoyable when eating. Facts have proved that there are so many delicious restaurants in Kunming that you can go to more restaurants when you have time.

When traveling, don't think that you don't care about anything except the scenery. In fact, if you can eat well during the trip, that taste can stay in your life for a long time. For me, this is also the meaning of travel.

A unique scenery of the Metasequoia forest

If you come to the Metasequoia forest in December, what you will see must be a red scene. However, the Metasequoia forest in February is also very good. Although it is not so red, the outline of the metasequoia is clearly visible, and the appearance of the tree branches themselves is a kind of scenery.

This Metasequoia forest is in Dianwei Village. It is said that this place is always the peak travel season in late autumn. There is a river in the woods, and a metasequoia forest grows in the river. The river water is particularly clear.

The Metasequoia forest is very large. We went down for a walk and took many photos in the forest. Places like this are the best places to take good views.

When we left the Metasequoia forest, we also encountered Waterfall Park. There is indeed a waterfall here, and you can still hear the roar of the waterfall pouring down from afar.

We didn't stay in Waterfall Park for long and continued to look for other scenery.

This is Laoyuhe Wetland Park. The park is very large and there are many people playing in the park. An exhibition of tulips was being held in the park at that time. There are much more tulips here than in Cuihu Park. The important point is that there are all kinds of tulips of all colors.

There is a tree in the park that has become a wall of wishes, and many people have written their wishes on it. I took a look, and what made me happy was that many people were focusing on themselves and hoping that they would be happy, but there were fewer appointments between couples. I think this is a good thing.

For dinner, we went to Xinying New City and had a Thai meal. Because of the epidemic, the originally planned trip to Thailand had to be shelved. However, eating Thai food can be regarded as a ritual. The Thai food in this restaurant tastes pretty good, including tom yum soup, coconut rice and so on.
