My cousin works in public relations planning for a company in Beijing. New media has developed too rapidly in the past two years. Her traditional planning ideas often fail to satisfy her superiors, and it has gradually become normal for her plans to be rejected again and again. Two days ago, another plan was rejected, and her boss scolded her for not being able to get on the point, making her feel even more powerless in this job.
So, she wanted to persuade her husband to take the children and move to Yunnan and change his lifestyle...
Thinking of a few years ago, a junior sister broke up with her boyfriend before graduation from graduate school, she felt that the depression in her heart could not be resolved, so she bought a ticket and went to Dali alone. She lost her wallet on Cangshan Mountain. When she had no relatives and was at a loss, she called me and burst into tears. Fortunately, she did not lose her ID card and bank card. When she returned to the ancient city, she was resurrected full of blood. The sulk in her chest was exhausted, and she felt that life was as beautiful as the Cangshan Erhai Lake.
Have you noticed that whether it is a disappointment in the workplace or a lovelorn in love, as long as you feel pressured and want to escape, the first thing many people think of is to go west to Yunnan?
Why? Why does Yunnan have such a huge magic power that makes people who grow up here reluctant to leave, and makes people outside yearn for it and dream about it?

Perhaps, because it feels leisurely and beautiful here. The sky is so blue, the air is so sweet, and there are flowers all year round. Not to mention being immersed in a casual daze in a bar in the ancient city of Lijiang, or facing the Erhai Lake in the warm spring and blooming flowers, just a record about Kunming in my memory is enough to make people yearn for it.
That period of history says: Lin Huiyin flew back to Kunming from Chongqing in February 1946. After living in Tangjia Garden on Beimen Street, he wrote to Fei Weimei in Chongqing: "I finally came to Kunming again!" "Come and see this city with sunny weather, smoky breeze, flowers everywhere, and colors."
She called Tangjia Garden on Beimen Street where she lived this time a "Dream Villa" and praised: "Kunming will always be so beautiful. Whether it's sunny or rainy, the scenery outside my window is particularly touching before and after a thunderstorm."
In fact, whether it is Yang Shuo's surprise that "I was drunk when I stepped into Kunming", or the rain in Kunming in Wang Zengqi's writings is "bright, plump, and touching"; whether it is Yang Shen's famous sentence,"The weather is often like February and March, and the branches of flowers are constantly in spring", or Sun Yanweng Dengdeng Daguanlou described "There are many beautiful descriptions of the place. The words of our predecessors travel through history and come to our faces with lingering warmth. Reading again today, it is still so cordial, even so fresh and beautiful!

Perhaps it is because it is too far away, so the feeling it gives people is full of mystery and novelty.
"Yunnan is located in the rocky terrain and the valleys are dangerous. It is difficult to travel. We must pass through the Shu Road." This is the description of Yunnan's transportation in Yunnan Tongzhi. Although in the past there were the Ancient Tea Horse Road, the Diannan-Myanmar Highway, the Hump Route, and the Diannan-Vietnam Railway, Yunnan people never gave up their efforts to communicate with the outside world; now there are planes and high-speed trains, making it no longer difficult to reach Yunnan. However, if you leave the prosperous Urban area and explore deeper, you will still find that many places are not easy to reach.
For example, in Dulong River, known as "the last secret realm of southwest China", the roads were once very difficult. Even driving from Gongshan County, which is more than 90 kilometers, would take at least half a day, with landslides, and rolling stones constantly occurring along the way. Before 2014, there was heavy snow blocking the mountains for half a year, and traffic was almost completely cut off. Therefore, except for a few hiking adventure enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts, there are very few ordinary tourists who have visited Dulong River.
But it is precisely because of its relative remoteness that many places in Yunnan retain too many original landscapes and interesting folk customs.
People always yearn for poetry and distance. The more different they are from the environment around them, the more refreshing they are and the more curious they will be.

Or perhaps it is because Yunnan places countless people's life ideals about poetic dwelling.
Whether it is fast-paced work pressure or various trivial daily tasks in life, you will always get bored after being exposed to it for a long time. Even if you know that it is impossible to truly escape, it would be wonderful to find a place to relax for a short time.
Yu Jian, a poet from Yunnan, once wrote,"I think Kunming's inspiration to the world is that humans should emerge from the history of blood and fire, pollution, disaster, destruction, and remoteness from existence, live in places like Kunming, and live with the garden-like earth."
Kunming is the capital of Yunnan, so by extension, some people say that for thousands of years, the land of Yunnan has inspired not the ambition to conquer the world, but the desire to return home, return home and enjoy life.
Therefore, despite the twists and turns of the outside world, Yunnan people who are well versed in life rarely travel far. They said that "Yunnan is good", and they are willing to stay here and be a "hometown treasure" in a down-to-earth manner.

I hope you will also like Yunnan.
I hope that you want to go to Yunnan because you really yearn for it, not because you are in a bad mood.
In addition to the regular Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La, there are actually many places in Yunnan that are suitable for letting go of pressure and letting go.
I found many interesting things in a book called "Different Yunnan". For example:
