Shu Travel: Imitation of Soviet-style old buildings, Yunnan Art Museum!
Yunnan Art Museum is located on May Day Road. You must have passed by here before, but you may not have thought of entering.
Its predecessor was the Provincial Museum. In 2015, the Yunnan Province Museum moved to a new location. So in 2016, the former Yunnan Province Museum began to be open to the public free of charge as the "Yunnan Art Museum."
The art museum has a total of 4 floors. The first floor is the main exhibition hall, the second floor is currently vacant. In addition to a relatively small exhibition hall, the third floor also houses a cafe. The fourth floor is the office area of the art museum.
The architectural style is imitation of old Soviet buildings. The ceilings, flowered windows, and even just the corners of the stairs all reveal an exquisite beauty. Although the carvings and decorations are gorgeous, they are not vulgar.
The feeling inside the house is contradictory but harmonious. The roof has a complex and exquisite Russian style, while the feet are the simple stone floor of the old Kunming building. The two collide with a unique style belonging to the Yunnan Art Museum.
