Zhenqing Temple is located on Tuodong Road in Kunming City. It is a relatively complete ancient building complex with the largest area in Kunming and preserved many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was originally named "Zhenwu Temple". It consists of buildings such as the Front Hall, Ziwei Hall, and Laojun Hall. The three halls face south and are built on the same axis from south to north. On the east side is Dulei Mansion, built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.
On both sides of the central axis are the east-west corridors connecting the Front Hall and Ziwei Hall. Ziwei Hall is a three-room civil structure building with a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. The entire building retains the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. Behind Ziwei Hall is Laojun Hall. Although it has undergone many renovations in history, it still retains the Yuan Dynasty architectural style.
