I was eager to find a cool world in the scorching summer, so I set my sights on Yunnan and decided to take a trip to Yunnan. After getting off the plane from Kunming Airport, I rented a car and went to Haigeng Dam first. Parking is not allowed on the road next to Haigeng Dam, so you must park your car in the surrounding parking lot. I originally wanted to see red-billed gulls, but the season was wrong. In July, there were no birds in Dianchi Lake, only a pool of clear water.
Next, we went to Guandu Ancient Town, located in downtown Kunming. The ancient town has shops, temples, and a magnificent King Kong Tower.
Guandu Baba is a famous snack here, with many kinds of fillings. 3 yuan each, which is very cheap.
I left Guandu Ancient Town and arrived in Shilin County for one night. Visit the Shilin Scenic Area the next day.
Self-driving cars park their cars in the minibus parking lot, and then take a free battery cart to the visitor center. Buy tickets and sightseeing tickets. It is recommended to buy a sightseeing bus. It is a 6-kilometer round trip from the tourist center to the actual scenic spot. There are no scenic spots on this section of the road and it is quite tiring to walk. The sightseeing bus gets off at the Geological Museum. Tourist groups generally don't go to this museum. Individual tourists can go in and have a look. There are many ores and fossils of ancient organisms, which are still very meaningful.
A few minutes 'walk from the museum is the Stone Forest Scenic Area. Generally go to the Big Stone Forest first, where there are scenic spots such as the Stone Forest Scenic View and Zhu De's inscription.
Then enter the Little Stone Forest, which is mainly the Ashima attractions. Take a sightseeing bus from Xiaoshilin Exit and get off directly at the minibus parking lot. It is enough to only visit the Small and Small Stone Forest Scenic Area for 2-3 hours.
After leaving Shilin, I drove to the Honghe Prefecture Museum in Mengzi City. Following the navigation into the museum parking lot, I found that the gate was closed, thinking it was not open. After calling and asking, I realized that this was the back door and the front door was opposite.
The museum has exhibitions on the history, ethnicity, minerals and other aspects of Honghe Prefecture.
The next stop is Jianshui Ancient City. This is an open scenic spot. Access to the ancient city is free. There are some fee-paying attractions, such as Confucian Temple and Zhujia Garden.
There is an ancient well in the ancient city of Jianshui, called Daban Well, with a diameter of 3 meters. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and is still one of the water sources for local residents. There are many tofu shops near the ancient well, which use well water to make tofu. Jianshui tofu is well-known.
Another famous attraction in Jianshui is the small train, which is a narrow-gauge train with a gauge of only one meter. Jianshui was called Lin 'an in ancient times, and the departure station of the small train was Lin' an Station.
The small train stops at two stops halfway, Shuanglong Bridge and Xianghui Bridge. Shuanglong Bridge is locally called the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. The bridge body is very long and there are pavilions on the bridge.
Xianghui Bridge has three bridge holes, and the entire bridge deck is covered by pavilions.
The small train stops at the two bridges for half an hour to allow tourists to get off the bus to visit and take photos. The terminal station is Tuanshan Village, where Tuanshan Residential Buildings are a famous scenic spot. The train stops here for about 2 hours and then returns to Lin 'an Station. There is no stop on the way back.
Tuanshan Residential Buildings are different from other ancient cities in one way. Many small attractions here are inhabited by local residents. Tourists can visit them, which gives a very original feeling.
