"If you don't go to heaven, go to Yunnan." This time, we decided to take "South of Colorful Clouds" as a gift for spring and go to this legendary place. 2014 was the occasion of the New Year. We started an 18-day trip to central and northern Yunnan from the Spring City of Kunming all the way north. We have walked through the sacred Meili Snow Mountain and the magnificent Mingyong Glacier, the emerald Jinsha River and the mysterious Lugu Lake, the beautiful Ancient City of Lijiang and Shangri-La, the misty and vast Cangshan Erhai Lake; the huge prayer wheel of the ancient city of Moonlight and the winding prayer flags of Songzanlin Temple; the seagulls soaring in Cuihu Lake and Dianchi Lake... and recorded the excitement of that moment from our perspective!

On the afternoon of February 4, 2014 (the third day of the first lunar month), we took the k155 from Nanjing for 37 and a half hours and arrived in Kunming on the morning of February 6. Get off the bus and store your luggage at the train station, walk to the Zhanqian Square (Beijing Road) Bus Station, take bus No. 2 (1 yuan/person), get off at Wuyi Road Station, walk about 500 meters, and we will arrive at the first stop of our trip., see red-billed gulls at Cuihu in Kunming (tickets are free for Cuihu).
When you enter Cuihu Park, you will find flying birds coming to your face. The number of them is completely beyond your imagination. Year after year, Kunming Cuihu has been made home by red-billed gulls from Siberia. They are close to humans. As long as they see someone holding food by the lake, they will circle around you and even dare to grab food from your hands. From the beginning of December to the end of February every year, coming to Cui Lake to see red-billed gulls has become a local sight. Every Spring Festival, tourists from all over the country flock to Kunming to watch the red-billed gulls. To this end, Kunming City held the "First Dianchi Seagull and Bird Festival" this year. According to statistics, as many as 50,000 red-billed gulls have flown from Siberia to Yunnan to winter this year, Cuihu and Dianchi Lake each account for more than 10,000. The rest are distributed in various lakes of Yunnan.
A good restaurant next to Cuihu. After watching the red-billed gulls, the two of us spent 105 yuan and had the most enjoyable meal here in two days.
After lunch, we returned to the Wuyi Road Bus Station and took the No. 44 bus. It took about 40 minutes to arrive at Kunming Dianchi (ticket is 10 yuan/person). Dianchi Lake is the largest freshwater lake on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an endless water surface. We boarded a cruise ship (60 yuan/person) and drove between the blue sky and clear water. The seagulls above our heads followed us all the way. The scene was very spectacular.
The seagulls in Dianchi Lake can fly very well. They are fighters among planes!
Yunnan Bridge Xiangyuan Rice Noodles is a must-eat when you come to Yunnan. For 20 yuan each, we can eat to our satisfaction. At this point, we have ended our short trip to Kunming. After dinner, we took the K9610 to Lijiang the next morning. We left the railway station and took the local farmers 'minibus (which could take passengers to their respective hotels and inns). We soon arrived at the Kangzhong Road Branch of Lijiang Home Inn. The 159-yuan double bed room booked by Ctrip can be extended to 15:00 p.m. with a membership card. The style of home is consistent, sanitary and simple.
After a short rest, we immediately went to Lijiang Passenger Station and bought tickets to Lugu Lake tomorrow. Just go straight to Dayan Ancient City in Lijiang (take bus No. 11, 1 yuan/person, and get off at Zhongyi Market Station). After entering the ancient city and walking north for 20 minutes, you will reach the symbol of the ancient city of Lijiang, the "Big Water Car".
The ancient city of Lijiang was built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasties (late 13th century AD). It is located in the northwest of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and is an important tea-horse ancient road on the Silk Road in southern my country. It is about 2300 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 8 square kilometers. Most of the streets of the ancient city are built near mountains and rivers. Landmark attractions include more than 10 places such as Sifang Street, Mufu, Wufenglou, Black Dragon Pool, Wenchang Palace, Wangu Tower, Dashiqiao Bridge, and Xueshan Academy. In 1997, the ancient city of Lijiang was successfully included in the World Cultural Heritage List. The ancient city has a strong ethnic customs and traditional customs. Naxi ancient music, Dongba rituals, divination culture, bar culture and Naxi Torch Festival are all unique. It not only reflects the achievements of ancient urban construction in my country, but also represents the history and customs of the colorful ethnic groups in southwest my country.
Walking into this labyrinth-like beautiful ancient city, the strong Naxi ethnic customs wrap you around all the time! Touch you!
In early spring and February, spring flowers are already shining in the ancient city. Welcoming guests with flowers, treating guests with flowers, and thanking guests with flowers is the tradition of hospitality among the ancient city people.
In the creek in the ancient city is the melted water from the snowy mountains flowing down from the Yulong Snow Mountain Jing and Black Dragon Pool. It is crystal clear to the bottom. The people living here follow ancient customs and will never discharge a drop of sewage into the river or discard any piece of garbage.
People on Sifang Street in the ancient city were shouting loudly. Under the warm sunshine, people who come to the ancient city of Lijiang to celebrate the New Year enjoy this moment.
The ancient city of Lijiang is full of small commodities.
Wangu Tower overlooks the ancient city of Lijiang.
It is said that this is a totem symbol of the Naxi people.
Lijiang people are leisurely. They have thrived here for generations and are naturally open and tolerant. Welcome and send guests from all over the world, and be happy to be appreciated.
With the advancement of modern civilization, the living conditions and structure of Lijiang ancient dwellings are also quietly changing.
The ancient city Dashiqiao Bridge has attracted many guests. Its reputation is much greater than what we see. Today, there are many restaurants on both sides of it, and there are many cries. I wonder if this corridor street on the old "Tea Horse Ancient Road" also has this scene, where the "carriers" all gathered here to "rest and order for food."
In addition to the Dashi Bridge, there are many such stone and wood covered bridges in the ancient city, providing convenience for tourists to travel between them.
The snacks next to Dashi Bridge look very tempting, but I wonder if they taste delicious? Foreigners, like us, are probably staring at "them" closely because of the physical effects in their stomachs!
"If you haven't been to Mufu, you have never been to Lijiang." Mufu is known as the "Grand View Garden" of Lijiang Ancient City. It was once the home and residence of the highest leader of the Naxi ethnic group. Since the hereditary Tusi in the Yuan Dynasty, it has lasted for more than 470 years in the 22nd generation. The Mu family is famous for "knowing etiquette and abiding by righteousness," so the mansion is also called Zhongyi Hall. The Mufu building covers an area of 46 acres. The famous traveler Xu Xiake once called it "the beauty of the palace, imitating the royal family." The TV series "Mufu Fengyun" was filmed here. Mufu tickets are 40 yuan/person.
The ancient city's history and modernity blend. An old Naxi man, who watches the people rushing by in front of her every day, is still holding on to her small business. Maybe not for livelihood, just for tradition.
Hard-working Naxi women provide living security for every moment of this ancient city. They are a beautiful scenery!
The ancient city has various inns and bars with various names and dazzling decorations. It not only exudes a strong ancient Naxi charm, but also exudes a faint "petty bourgeoisie sentiment". They provide every possibility for visitors here to experience exotic customs and enjoy the slow life of Lijiang. Maybe one day, you will meet love in an inconspicuous "corner"!
The ancient city of Lijiang is at the beginning of the lanterns.

At a restaurant in the ancient city, for 2 yuan per person, you can view the night of the ancient city in all directions.
On the morning of February 8, we took the long-distance shuttle bus from Lijiang Passenger Station (the fare was 65 yuan, leaving at 9 a.m.). The journey took about more than 7 hours (the road from Lijiang to Ninglang County was under renovation, and we had to detour some mountain roads halfway)., arrived at Daluoshui Village in Lugu Lake at around 4 p.m. Tickets for Lugu Lake are 80 yuan, and tickets for more than 60 yuan are half. We got off the bus and chose an inn called "Lakeside" next to the dock of Daluoshui Village. The standard room was 150 yuan, including double breakfast. The room was clean and tidy, and Lugu Lake was outside the room window. After checking in, we immediately took a cruise from the dock to Liwubi Island in Lugu Lake. Today, Lugu Lake has blue skies and white clouds, with panoramic views of lakes and mountains!
Lugu Lake is under the joint jurisdiction of Yanyuan County, Sichuan Province and Ninglang County, Yunnan Province. It covers an area of about 50 square kilometers, has an altitude of 2690 meters, an average water depth of 45 meters, and the deepest point reaches 93 meters. The maximum visibility is 12 meters. The lake water is clear and blue. It is the highest lake in Yunnan and the deepest freshwater lake in China. One. There are 5 small islands in Lugu Lake. The most popular choice for tourists is Rivubi Island.
A glimpse of Lugu Lake.
The seagulls of Lugu Lake followed us all the way to Liwubi Island.
The Mosuo guy rowing is very handsome and talkative. He said: "Give all the money I earn to grandma!"
About 30 minutes by boat, we arrived at Liwubi Island in the lake (the small island is located in the south-central of Lugu Lake. It is also known as the Three Islands of Lugu Lake, together with Sheva Island and Rigge Island). Most of the side of the island are stalagmite stone pillars, forming a natural small dock. There is a winding path leading to a Lama Temple on the island (Buddha statues such as Sakyamuni and Thousand Hand Guanyin are sculpted in the temple). There is a Tibetan-style white pagoda built on the top of the island.
The blue waves ripple through Lugu Lake, and in the distance is the Gemu Goddess Mountain at an altitude of 4600 meters. After we returned to the shore, we immediately carpooled (30 yuan per person) to Lugu Lake, Caohai and Lige Peninsula.
Caohai's "Zouzhuang Bridge" area belongs to Yuanyan County, Sichuan Province. It is a place where young men and women from Mosuo in Lugu Lake "get married"(free love). It is said that every night, Mosuo girls and young men will gather here to talk about love. Once they choose the right person, they will give each other tokens and start a mysterious "walking marriage". This story sounds very romantic. Nowadays, there are keepsakes for sale in shops at Qiaotou, and they have become "hot goods" for tourists.
A glimpse of the wedding bridge in Lugu Lake.
Evening on the Rigg Peninsula. Accommodation on the island is expensive. We gave up our plan to stay here for one night to capture the sunset and sunrise of Lugu Lake.
That night, we attended a bonfire party in Daluoshui Village (one per night, 2 hours, 30 yuan per person). At the party, a young man and woman from the Mosuo families around Lugu Lake each performed Naxi songs and dances. When the performance was coming to an end, the actors would join hands with the tourists and surround the bonfire with "yasu, yasu, yasu". Keep circling, dancing hard, and singing happily. The scene was so lively!
The Lugu Lake we saw is no longer the legendary Lugu Lake. Today, people here still maintain traditions, pay attention to environmental protection, and are keen on tourism development. Young men and women sang and danced, welcomed tourists from all over the world, sought happiness and wealth most, and enjoyed the beautiful mountains and rivers that belonged to them. Are "Azhuan" and "Adan" still "married"? We don't know, maybe this is just a story that has been shrouded in mystery and makes you daydream endlessly.
On the morning of February 9, we saw the sunrise on Lugu Lake by the lake of Daluoshui Village. Lugu Lake is limited by being surrounded by mountains on all sides, and its sunrise is not as spectacular as we imagined it.

On the way back to Lijiang from Lugu Lake, we saw the Jinsha River for the first time in the deep canyon, and we inevitably had many feelings. Although this poetic river originated from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau along with the Nujiang River and Lancang River, it chose to rush to the east without turning back. This saphire-like river is rich in minerals and heavy metals, and contains a lot of wealth and treasure along the coast; it leaves endless stories and fantasies for future generations. On the next journey, we will follow you up to Shangri-La, Meili Snow Mountain, and Mingyong Glacier.
On the morning of February 10, we took a shuttle bus from Lijiang to Diqing Shangri-La. The fare was 75 yuan. Take National Highway 214 all the way. The road is better than what the Internet said earlier. The driver drives steadily, saving a lot of bumps. Arrive in Diqing at 1:30 p.m. We stayed at a business hotel opposite the Diqing Bus Terminal according to the scheduled itinerary. The standard room was 130 yuan.
This is the sunshine taken on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on the roof of Home Inn in Lijiang that morning before we set out. It is spectacular!
This is the "Buddha's Light" I saw in Lijiang that morning.
After checking into Diqing Shunxin Business Hotel, we took a taxi to Songzanlin Temple (5 kilometers away from the north of Diqing City). As the temple is undergoing internal renovation, it does not accept tourists. We walked to a small hill next to the temple and could only "look into the distance". It was built in 1681 and is known as the "Little Potala Palace". It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan Province and is known as the "Tibetan Art Museum."
A glimpse of Gadan Songzanlin Temple.
Then, we took a taxi from Songzanlin Temple (7 kilometers south of Diqing) to the famous Duzongke Yueguang Ancient City, which had just been swallowed by a fire before the Spring Festival this year. What we saw was just some ruins, which was very regrettable.
We turned to walk to the Moonlight Square next to the ancient city, climbed to the platform halfway up the mountain of Guishan Temple, and watched this prayer wheel known as China's No. 1. It is said that it broke the Guinness World Record and required the joint efforts of 30 people to be rotated. If you turn it once, it is equivalent to silently reciting 1.24 million Buddhist scriptures in your heart. If you turn it three times, you can eliminate disasters and pray for Buddha and achieve infinite merit. Believe it or not!
It was during the Spring Festival, and there were almost no tourists here. With our own efforts, we naturally cannot promote such a huge Buddhist barrel, and we naturally cannot obtain "boundless merit".
In the evening, we took a taxi back to Shunxin Hotel and ended our first trip to Shangri-La.
On February 11, we followed the weather forecast: Meili Snow Mountain will have a short cloudy process from the 12th to the 13th. In order to increase our chances of viewing Meili Rizhao Jinshan, we did not stop in Shangri-La. We stored some of our luggage at the hotel the next morning, and then took the early bus to Dexin County (departing at 8 o'clock, ticket price of 69 yuan) and went straight to the Meili Snow Mountain Feilai Temple Observation Deck, the most satisfying vision (and ultimate goal) of our trip.
Due to the steep mountain roads and the severe winter and ice and snow, the traffic from Diqing to Dexin is intermittent. Even if a ticket is bought, the shuttle bus will be stopped at any time. It's still good. Our shuttle bus leaves on time and leaves Diqing. Driving along National Highway 214 (the famous Dian-Tibet Highway), the roadside is the deep Jinsha River Grand Canyon. The road was covered with snow, and it was almost impossible to tell which was the snow and which was the road. For this reason, we are very worried about driving safety and even regret not coming to Meili Snow Mountain in this climate. Fortunately, our driver was not in a hurry and drove steadily. We had a smooth journey to Dexin Passenger Terminal. Then the driver charged an additional 10 yuan per passenger and stopped for a short time. The journey took about 30 minutes and took us to Feilai Temple at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain.
We have admired Meili Snow Mountain for a long time. We have come for you. You are close at hand, but the fog is tight. It seemed to be covered with a thick veil and never showed his dignity. According to the landlady who stayed at the hotel, since February 3, the Meili Snow Mountain has been shrouded in fog for 10 consecutive days, and tourists who have come from afar have left disappointed. I wonder what our luck will be next?
It was the twelfth day of the first lunar month, and people were celebrating the Spring Festival. There were only a handful of tourists who arrived at the Feilai Temple Observation Deck with us (4 young people from Europe, 1 young couple from Northeast China, 1 girl from Guangdong, and 1 guy from Shandong). On the Feilai Temple street where hotels and inns are lined, only two houses are still open to welcome guests. We chose a sixth-floor room called "Meili Yuan" hotel facing the observation deck. The standard room was 270 yuan per night. Although the price was high, the hotel had simple meals, which could solve the problem of eating. There is an electric blanket on the bed, so at least it won't get cold. It is so remote and during the Spring Festival, it is not bad to have such a place to live.
On the morning of February 12, we looked out of the window at the Meili Snow Mountain. The fog on the mountain was heavier and the visibility was lower. It seemed that the Kavarg Mountain showed no sign of honor. It is said that impious people cannot see the sacred Meili Snow Mountain. I dare not say that I am pious, but there is still fate. We chartered a car (200 yuan/car) to Mingyong Glacier. When we were worried about no one carpooling, the young northeastern couple was willing to ride with us (later, the young couple carpooled with us again and walked all the way to Shangri-La before breaking up. During the journey, these young people who were reserved and generous left a deep impression on us.
It is about 30 kilometers from Feilai Temple to the entrance of Mingyong Glacier. Our car drove along a rural road in the Jinsha River Canyon for about an hour, and arrived at the ticket office of the Mingyong Village Glacier Scenic Area (the joint ticket for the Glacier, Feilaisi Observation Deck, and the Jinsha River Grand Bend is 220 yuan, 60 years old and half), and then we had to walk or ride for 4 kilometers to reach the entrance of the Glacier Observation Deck. After that, you have to climb about 1.1 kilometers long stairs to reach the top of the observation deck to see the glacier. From Mingyong Village at an altitude of more than 2300 meters, all the way to the Glacier Observation Platform at an altitude of more than 2800 meters, the mountains are high and steep, and the hiking is very difficult. For this reason, we chose to ride to Mingyong Glacier for a round trip of 200 yuan/person. This was the first time I rode a horse on such a steep mountain road, and I felt a little uneasy! Fortunately, the Tibetan woman leading the horse kept comforting everyone, and our hearts gradually became more at ease.
Our team of 10 people (4 of us +6 of Shanghai tourists) marched along the mountain road all the way towards the glacier.
This is the end of horse riding and the starting point for hiking to the glacier. We had a thrilling journey without danger. After riding for an hour and a half on horseback and about 40 minutes on foot, we finally reached the top of the Glacier Observation Deck.
This is the Mingyong Glacier, and we have seen it for the first time in our life. It is close at hand, not as white and transparent as we imagined. Its surface is unevenly covered with a layer of volcanic ash-like material, only at the cracked parts reveal a faint blue color.
Looking up along the glacier is Kavarg Peak, which Tibetans call the sacred mountain. However, it is still honored today and appears even more mysterious under the white fog.
Joy is louder than words. With this moment, all the hard work before is worth it!
The sense of gain from seeing the glacier made us not feel tired at all on the way down the mountain.
The kind Tibetan aunt is happy to keep this photo for us.
February 13 is the last day of our trip to Meili Snow Mountain. Whether we see Meili Snow Mountain or not, we will return to Shangri-La on the same day. That night, every time we woke up, we hurriedly opened the curtains and looked at the sky! Looking forward to a miracle. Looking forward to the stars! Looking forward to the moon! Looking forward to the sunshine of Jinshan! This is a record of the mental process. The weather forecast comes from [Ink Weather Forecast].
February 13, 02:00 (forecast: cloudy) The sky expands and the starlight becomes clear, and there is a moon (hopes are kindled)
February 13 04:00 (forecast: fog) The sky shrinks and the starlight becomes blurred, and the moon disappears (frustration)
February 13, 05:00 (forecast: fog) The stars disappeared, the moon was gone, and fog was felt (very depressed)
February 13, 06:30 (forecast: cloudy) The stars appear again and the fog is dissipating (hope to reignite)
07:00 on February 13 (Forecast: few clouds) The stars are getting bigger and the snowy mountains are looming (a little excited)
February 13, 07:30 (forecast: few clouds) The dawn begins, and the snowy mountains appear in front of you (excitement)
08:05 on February 13 (Forecast: Shaoyun) The first light shines, and Jinshan is close at hand (happy!)
This is the golden mountain of Meili Rizhao we photographed on the roof of the hotel on the morning of February 13. It is a feeling that transcends the world! This is also the first time since February 3 that the sacred mountain Kawagbo has been revealed (and later, it has been locked by dense fog again). At this moment, tourists and pilgrims are in awe and jubilation. A driver who had just arrived at the observation deck to see tourists said: "Anyone who can see Jinshan today will win the lottery ticket."
Meili Snow Mountain, also known as the Prince of Snow Mountain, is located between the Nujiang River and Lancang River about 10 kilometers northeast of Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is a pilgrimage holy place for Tibetan Buddhism and ranks first of the eight sacred mountains in Tibetan areas. After April every year, countless pilgrims and pilgrims come here to "turn the mountains inside and outside". In particular, the famous Meili Rizhao Jinshan has fascinated countless backpackers and photography enthusiasts.
There are 13 peaks in the Meili Snow Mountain with an average altitude of more than 6000 meters (also known as the Meili Thirteen Peaks). Among them, Kawagbo Peak, known as the "Taizi Peak", is a pyramidal snow-capped mountain, commonly known as the "Snow Mountain God", with an altitude of 6740 meters, is the highest peak in Yunnan. No one has reached the summit so far. There was once a Sino-Japanese joint mountaineering team encountered an avalanche while climbing, and none of the team members survived. At this point, climbing Meili Snow Mountain was prohibited.
Meili Snow Mountain is surrounded by clouds and fog all year round, and is famous at home and abroad for its mysterious and magnificent posture. As early as the 1930s, American scholars praised Kawagbo Peak as "the most beautiful mountain in the world." Due to special geographical and climatic conditions, Kawagbo Peak only appears for about 50 days every year. The maximum probability of appearing is from January to March every year. This may be its charm!
This is Zugui Laka Peak with an altitude of 5996 meters and Niridingka Peak with an altitude of 6379 meters among the five peaks of Meili. The picture below shows Müzmu Peak at an altitude of 6054 meters among the five peaks of Meili, also known as Shennu Peak.
With the joy of seeing Meili's sunshine, we and the couple from Northeast China chartered a bus (100 yuan per person) back to Shangri-La.
On the way, we passed through the foggy roof of Desin County, where the famous Thirteen White Towers (meaning the Thirteen Peaks of Meili) are very spectacular. This is also a famous scenic spot on the Meili Snow Mountain. Due to its high mountains and dangerous roads, since the road tunnel at the foot of the mountain was opened, few people have gone to the foggy roof to view the scenery. Its status has gradually been replaced by the Feilai Temple Observation Platform.
On the way, we passed the famous Wuguan Peak of Baima Snow Mountain (also known as Baimang Snow Mountain).
This is Zalaquini Peak, the main peak of Baima Snow Mountain at an altitude of 5417 meters.
We met two young people riding towards Lhasa at the Baima Snow Mountain Pass (4230 meters above sea level).
Suwei met by chance under the snowy mountains all her life. What kind of fate is this! Young people who dare to pursue, leave a picture and wish you good luck on the way!
On the way, we passed the famous Jinsha River turn and the scenery was breathtaking!
Behind us is the Jinsha River Grand Canyon that winds for thousands of kilometers.
"Meili Snow Mountain National Park wishes you a safe journey." Leaving the door in front of us ended our trip to Meili Snow Mountain. That evening, we returned to Shangri-La and still stayed in a business hotel opposite the bus terminal. Tomorrow is the 15th day of the first lunar month. The hotel has only two of us guests and one receptionist (a middle-aged lady from Zhuang Shu). She said affectionately: "I know you will be back today. The room is ready. You can go to the restaurant on the left outside the door for dinner. Only his house is open." Warm reception and instructions, comfortable and warm rooms, and a hot bath for several days on this cold snowy plateau night. The feeling of "home" came naturally to you.
February 14 (the 15th of the first month) is the Lantern Festival, and buses from Diqing City to Pudacuo National Forest Park have been suspended. We settled the deal with a local farmer driver in front of the passenger terminal for a package of 130 yuan. The journey is 28 kilometers and takes more than 30 minutes to arrive at the ticket office of the scenic spot. Pudacuo National Forest Park is included in the World Natural Heritage List. Admission is 80 yuan + transportation is 40 yuan, and half price is 60 years old.
Pudacuo National Forest Park is very large, consisting of three major parts: Yudu Lake, Militang Meadow, and Bitahai. The best time to watch it is in spring and summer (when the grassland is full of vitality and azaleas are in full bloom in the mountains). Its average altitude is more than 3600 meters, with strong winter winds and a very cold climate. Although we have come at a bad time, its original beauty still leaves a deep impression on us.
Scenery of Shudu Lake.
Tree beard, the main food source for Yunnan golden monkeys, shows that the ecology here is good enough.
Blue sky, transparent light and shadow, original beauty!
Scenery of Miritang Meadow.
We walked 4.2 kilometers along the Bita Sea plank road at an altitude of 3700 meters. The scenery was endless!
In the evening, we returned to the hotel, and this was the end of our entire trip to Shangri-La.
On the morning of February 15, we took a shuttle bus from Diqing Passenger Station to Dali, Yunnan. For a distance of 320 kilometers, our shuttle bus lasted for 7 hours (and also completed the climate transition from winter to spring). Arrive at Dali Xiaguan Passenger Station at 3 p.m. We stayed at Xintai Hotel, 200 meters west of the passenger terminal. The standard room was 80 yuan. The room was huge and the hygiene was good (I heard that on-site inquiry for accommodation in Dali was cheaper than booking, and it was true). Afterwards, we walked to Erhai Wetland Park (a scenic spot without charge).
The wind of Xiaguan, the moon of Erhai Lake, and the Erhai Lake is famous for its moon.
The night in Erhai Lake is like an oil painting. Don't shoot horizontally.
The Erhai Lake is famous for its moon. It is a pity that there is no moon in the Erhai Lake tonight.
On the morning of February 16, we walked to Erhai Wetland Park to watch the sunrise. The morning glow burned the water surface red.
After that, we took a shuttle bus (13 yuan/person) from Xiaguan Passenger Station to the Shuanglang of Erhai Town, known as ink painting. Over a journey of more than 40 kilometers, our shuttle bus drove passengers all the way for more than 2 hours.
It is said that Shuanglang has an arc-shaped coast about 7 kilometers long, with the Yuji Peninsula, Nanzhao Style Island, Xiaoputuo Island, etc. It gathers the wonderful scenery of "wind, flowers, snow and moon" in one place, and is known as "Canger scenery in double corridors". Since movies such as "Five Golden Flowers" were filmed here and dancer Yang Liping was born here, she has become famous all over the world. Shuanglang is also known as the hometown of love and romance, and is a place where "petty bourgeoisie" are fascinated.

The three pagodas of Chongsheng Temple are the only existing landmark buildings in the ancient Nanzhao State and have a history of more than 650 years. When we arrived at Santa Temple, the sky began to rain. From then on, wind and rain will accompany us all the way. Our original plan to shoot the sunset and night view of Santa Temple was all in vain!
A glimpse of Santa Temple.
On February 17, during the rainy day, our plans to visit the ancient city of Dali, Sanyue Street and Dengcang Mountain fell apart again. During the day, cats can only read, eat, and be in a daze in the Wal-Mart supermarket in Xiaguan, Dali (super supermarket). In the evening, that night, we left Dali for Kunming on the K9620 train.
On the morning of February 18, after leaving Kunming Railway Station, it rained non-stop, and there were many twists and turns. We originally planned to take Bus No. 60 to Kunming East Passenger Station and transfer to a special bus to Shilin. But after waiting for more than an hour, there was no sign of the No. 60 bus. It was already past 10 o'clock in the morning, and the rain was getting heavier. It seems that there is not enough time to go to Shilin, so I can only change it to tomorrow. We decided to go to the center of Kunming City for shopping, shopping and a good meal! The first stop was to Nanping Street Flower and Bird Market.
This is a restaurant on Jinma Street, Kunming. I can't remember the name. The restaurant's dishes are very tasteful, with two dishes for a pot of 75 yuan. During this trip to Yunnan, we came to the conclusion that eating in large restaurants in Yunnan is much cheaper than eating in small restaurants.
On February 19, the last day of our trip to Yunnan, our plan was to return to Kunming after visiting Shilin, and take the train (K156 at 17.50 minutes) from Kunming to Nanjing that night. At dawn, Master Wang, the driver who agreed to charter a car (500 yuan round trip to Shilin), picked us up at the entrance of the hotel and started on the road. Due to the tight schedule, we decided not to turn back to the hotel after returning from Shilin. We went directly to the railway station. We checked out the guest room in advance and took our luggage with us.
Travel is like this. No matter how good the itinerary is, there will be unknowns waiting for you. A heavy snow last night brought Kunming back to winter. At this time, the streets of Kunming had a lot of snow, but our car drove out of the Urban area before the morning rush hour (Kunming's traffic jam was very serious). Shilin is the last stop of this trip, and we look forward to a wonderful ending. When the car reached the entrance of Kunshi Expressway, it was only when it learned that the expressway had been closed. Master Wang immediately diverted to National Highway 319 and walked about 20 kilometers (nearly 1/4 of the way). Because the snow on the road was too thick, and we encountered a big traffic jam ahead, we couldn't walk any longer!
To this end, we returned to the entrance of Kunshi Expressway to wait for news of the opening of the expressway. After many twists and turns, there was little time left. Shilin is definitely impossible. Master Wang suggested that we can go to the Kunming World Horticultural Exposition and informed that not only is there free for 60-year-olds. You can also store your luggage for free. That's a good suggestion. We said goodbye to Master Wang at the entrance of the Expo (Master Wang only charged 200 yuan for the fare). If it weren't for the heavy snow and traffic jam, it would have been a very pleasant day. Perhaps it was because of the heavy snow and traffic jams that we had a journey worth recalling.
Our day in Kunming experienced a transition between winter and spring. Kunming was still snowing heavily in the morning, but there was no sign of snow in the afternoon. But for us, it all came too late.
Unfortunately, the China Pavilion of the Kunming World Expo will not open.
Seagulls at the Kunming World Expo: "The excitement starts with you and ends with you"! That night, we took the K156 train and began the long return journey that lasted for more than 38 hours, and also opened up endless aftertaste-the blue sky... the majestic snowy mountains... the deep canyons... the winding river... the mirror-like lake; the never-extinguishing butter lamp... the ever-rotating prayer wheel; and the seagulls who came thousands of miles to gather together. Yunnan, this magical land, not only has many blessings from nature, but also breeds a colorful nation. They are persistent and pious, adhering to this land that belongs to them, whether rich or poor!
The train goes all the way east, and we will return to our original point of life again. This trip to Yunnan has surprises, gains and regrets. We will remember the mountains and rivers we have walked through, the people who passed by and met by chance, the birds who followed us, and the young people who bravely moved forward!
