During today's chat, I decided on the title of Yunnan Travel Notes, which once again made Ah Zhang's heart hurt and his eyes burst into tears.
When I recalled Yunnan, I found that I couldn't remember many details clearly. It had only been a year. There are many things I want to keep, but now I realize that there are very few that I can really remember. I hope travel notes can help us write down every important moment.
I didn't have a good feeling about Yunnan in the past. I had the impression that it was a place that only parents of their age would like. Later, when I saw my friends go to Xishuangbanna, I felt that it seemed pretty good. I don't really remember how this place was settled. I probably just casually asked if there were any arrangements for National Day, and then I decided. After arriving at Shangri-La and Lugu Lake, my impression of Yunnan was completely changed. It is probably Yunnan with beautiful mountains, rivers and scenery.
1. Preparation: 6000 yuan per capita
1. Air ticket (1500 yuan per person)
20191003 Guangzhou-Shangri-La, China Eastern Airlines MU5774, 07:55-10:55
20191010 Kunming-Guangzhou, China Southern Airlines CZ3490, 22:00-00:20
Considering that there will be many tourists during the National Day, due to the altitude, the classic route to Yunnan is from Dali and Lijiang to Shangri-La. In order to avoid the crowd, we chose to fly directly to Shangri-La counterclockwise. Facts also proved that our choice was correct. There were almost no tourists during the few days in Shangri-La. When they went to Lijiang and Lugu Lake, many tourists basically returned. However, the premise is that the physical condition is relatively good. Shangri-La has an altitude of more than 3,000, so one of our friends unfortunately fell into high altitude.
2. Accommodation (1500 yuan per person)
There are many accommodation options in Yunnan. We almost always book B & Bs. Every owner we meet is very good and allows us to experience many local customs and customs.
3. Transportation (800 yuan per capita)
There are special tourist routes between various places in Yunnan. The bus from Shangri-La to Lijiang and Lijiang to Lugu Lake basically takes five or six hours. We chose the form of chartered buses for local travel because considering the three girls, safety comes first, and chartered buses can save time. Generally, local B & B owners have relevant services, mainly Shangri-La and Lugu Lake. We all asked the B & B owners to arrange chartered buses.
4. Shangri-La belongs to a high-altitude area, so we started eating rhodiola rhodiola a week in advance. Although many people say it has little effect, it is better than not eating well. You can also prepare some glucose and the like for backup. If you feel uncomfortable, take oxygen in time.
2. The itinerary
20201003 Guangzhou-Shangri-La-Shika Snow Mountain-Dukezong Ancient City
20201004 Dukezong Ancient City-Pudacuo-Dukezong Ancient City
20201005 Dukezong Ancient City-Balagzong-Dukezong Ancient City
20201006 Dukezong Ancient City-Napa Sea-Songzanlin Temple-Lijiang
20201007 Lijiang-Lugu Lake
20201008 Lugu Lake-Lijiang
20201009 Lijiang-Yulong Snow Mountain-Lijiang Ancient City
20201010 Lijiang-Kunming-Guangzhou
When planning our trip to Yunnan, we agreed that the places we were most interested in were Shangri-La and Lugu Lake, so we could only choose one from Dali and Lijiang under the limited time. Later, we looked at the map and found that we had to take a bus to go to Shangri-La and Lugu Lake. Lijiang took a bus, so we finally gave up Dali decisively.
DAY1 Guangzhou-Shangri-La-Shika Snow Mountain-Dukezong Ancient City
Originally, because Ah Zhang had something to do, we couldn't leave until the 4th. Later, considering that the time we could play was too short, we might as well go one day in advance to experience the local life instead of staying in Guangzhou, so ZZ3 and I set out. B & B owners can pick up the plane. Shangri-La is not large, and the airport is very close to the ancient city. As soon as you get off the plane, you can feel the cold of high-altitude areas. The weather is very good, with blue sky and white clouds. It is beautiful looking out from the window of the B & B.
At noon, I found a random shop to eat Tibetan pork, drink delicious butter tea, highland barley cakes and yogurt.
I was hesitant to go to the snowy mountains on the first day, because considering that we had just arrived at a high altitude area and it was not appropriate to be too tired, but thinking that we still had most of the day, it seemed a pity not to go out for a walk. Other attractions had to wait for Ah Zhang to go together, and we would visit the snowy mountains again when we went to Lijiang later, so we chose to go to Shika Snow Mountain. There are many snowy mountains in Shangri-La, the most famous one is Meili Snow Mountain. However, it is far away to Meili and it usually takes a two-day trip, so I had to give up this time and look forward to going again next time.
There are cableways in the upper and lower snowy mountains. ZZ and I agree that the cableway in Shika Snow Mountain is probably the oldest cableway ever built. Every time you stop in the middle and transition, you can feel the shaking of the cableway and hear the friction of jiningjining. sound. When we first arrived at the high altitude area, the two of us walked extremely slowly. The young man selling oxygen at the ticket gate asked us if we wanted to buy oxygen. When we said we didn't need it, he joked about us. After saying it, there was no Tashi to help you. Maybe the brain was oxygen-deficient. After ZZ and I reacted, we wanted to laugh but didn't dare. You have to climb a short mountain road to the top of the mountain, and you have to stop for a rest almost every ten steps. The wind on the snowy mountains is very strong and blowing, and the clouds on the top of the mountain are also very beautiful. When I rest, I stop there to watch the clouds rolling and relaxing. It is cold and comfortable. When I chatted with zz a few days ago, I still said that Shika Snow Mountain is really beautiful now that I think about it, although the wind was so strong that I didn't appreciate it well.
There are many delicious shops in the ancient city of Dukezong, almost all of which are opened by local people and can be found on the review website. We found a restaurant that ate Tibetan-style hot pot. Considering that the yak meat pot was a local specialty and we had to wait for our friends to come and eat it together, we ordered the local chicken pot. There were a lot of people eating in the evening. The boss arranged us to sit next to the TV. While eating, we watched Tibetan teaching. We were still discussing why we kept playing a few words on a loop with gusto. The butter tea in the store tasted delicious, and ZZ and I drank the entire pot. It's cold outside and the store is warm.
DAY2 Dukezong Ancient City-Pudacuo-Dukezong Ancient City
I saw a delicious casserole highland barley noodle shop on the website. In the morning, I walked through the entire ancient city and on the roadside outside the city. Although I don't really remember the taste of the noodles, I still remember that it was delicious. Other tourists even asked us what we ordered. After dinner, I walked on the path of the ancient city quietly and leisurely. I turned the super prayer wheel that took ten people to turn, overlooking the ancient city of Dukezong during the day.
At noon, Ah Zhang finally arrived late and had a big appetite during dinner. He wanted to order this and try that, but when he arrived in Pudacuo, he couldn't do it. He even listened to the B & B owner's suggestion and brought an oxygen cylinder. There is still a long way from getting off the bus to the core attractions. Azhang Gao's gastroenteritis caused by anti-Jiajia vomited while walking along the road, making him miserable. Pudacuo only opened one attraction, Shudu Lake. With the light of bringing drone propellers to friends of B & B owners, he took some photos by the lake. Although the weather was not good, he still felt Pudacuo's beauty. Walking along the plank road by the lake, it started to rain drizzly. Ah Zhang finished sucking up a can of oxygen and spent it on, not knowing whether it was 50 or 100 yuan, and bought another bottle in the scenic area. ZZ carried someone else's raincoat packaging bag. After walking for a while, it was a bit miserable to think about it. Unfortunately, I didn't secretly take pictures of her. There are also M-beans distributed to us by our boss friend. Although Ah Zhang next to me is a little miserable, the situation during this journey is quite special.
On the way back, I came across a beautiful sunset, half blue and almost orange, like a collision of ice and fire. Although ZZ complained that I didn't take the photo she wanted, the scenery has remained in our minds, isn't it?
There were not many fresh matsutake in October. When we arrived the day before, the boss asked us if we wanted to eat matsutake. Because we needed to book in advance, the matsutake chicken soup would be cooked for most of the day. At Ah Zhang's strong request, we made a reservation for tonight. It's so delicious. The freshness of matsutake and the freshness of chicken soup blend just right. It's refreshing, fresh and sweet, and the full pot is super practical. After Ah Zhang came back, she rested in the room. She had never had an appetite. ZZ climbed up the steep stairs with a bowl of hot chicken soup and fed it to Ah Zhang's mouth, but she still couldn't drink it. Because I was too embarrassed to ask the boss to heat it repeatedly for us, I gave the remaining chicken soup to the boss's border shepherd jelly. When I woke up the next day, Ah Zhang regretted it and repeatedly asked us why we didn't leave it for her the next day. Drink it. This year, we went to Tibet Bar very frequently. Although Ah Zhang, who is in a miserable state, ate fresh matsutake mushrooms, he never caught up with fresh matsutake chicken soup. Probably something I can talk about for the rest of my life, hahaha.
DAY3 Dukezong Ancient City-Balagzong-Dukezong Ancient City
Ah Zhang, who took oxygen and rested all night, is a hero again. The owner of the B & B had to receive friends on this day, so he arranged for a local driver to take us there. The Tibetan brother is very interesting, a little shy and a little cute. The journey to Balag Zong is quite a long way. The little brother recommended the songs he usually listens to all the way and sang along. He also helped us take photos of our 2-meter long legs in the middle?
The weather in the plateau area is hard to say. It dies from cold without a coat, and it dies from heat with a coat. The top of Balagzon is very warm and there may be a lot of walking in between, so it doesn't feel cold at all. There is an introduction about Balagzon on the scenic spot sightseeing bus, which is very touching. Those who are interested can check it out on the website in advance. The scenic area is very large, with sightseeing buses between each scenic spot. The scenery from the highest point on the top of the mountain is particularly great. It is blue sky and white clouds, high mountains and canyons, making it refreshing and intoxicating.
In the evening, we went to eat yak meat pot, which ranks higher in the ancient city. The meat was really real. Ah Zhang originally said to order two pots because she didn't get the chicken pot. Hehe, she overestimated herself too much. We were already exhausted in one pot.
There are activities every night during the National Day period in the ancient city. After dinner, go for a walk in the ancient city. Many people are dancing in the pot village. It is so lively.
DAY4 Dukezong Ancient City-Napa Sea-Songzanlin Temple-Lijiang
The Napa Sea in autumn is shrouded in a thin layer of clouds and mist, like us who are still awake, a little hazy and confused. Maybe when traveling, people are always curious and want to take photos when they see anything, and cows grazing on the roadside have become particularly interesting. It is said that during the rainy season, rain floods the middle lane, making it look like a sea.
Songzanlin Temple, also known as the Little Potala Palace, is also one of the must-see attractions in Shangri-La. Every time I visit such a place, I always feel that my whole body and mind are relaxed. Perhaps this is the power of faith.
At noon, the Tibetan driver took us to a snack bar that they often go to. The lady owner was very fun. Although the matsutake chicken we ate was completely incomparable to the B & B owner's, every dish was very special, especially the yogurt dregs. It felt great for everyone to sit around the small stove to eat. It was a bit like sitting around the stove in grandma's room during the Spring Festival. It probably felt like being at home.
We booked a bus ticket to Lijiang on Ctrip in advance. The journey took about five or six hours, passing through the Jinsha River in the middle. By the time we arrived in Lijiang, it was already dark. We found a very popular pork ribs pot shop, which was extremely cost-effective. We couldn't survive for 30 yuan per person. We even gave the rest of the dishes to the big brother at the next table, hahahaha.
There are many small shops selling jewelry in the ancient city. Earrings are super cheap. We bought more than a dozen pairs. I was still reluctant to leave.
DAY5 Lijiang-Lugu Lake
Early in the morning, we got on the bus to Lugu Lake, and there was a slight setback in the middle. Because Lugu Lake belongs to Yunnan and Sichuan, the B & B we had booked in advance was within Sichuan. The bus driver said that the bus only went to Sanjiacun, which was different from the stop station we had originally seen on the website. He also said that the accommodation we booked was too far away and kept persuading us to cancel it. He helped us find a place to stay. We were not familiar with the local location for a long time and almost wanted to refund the B & B we had booked, but in the end, considering the cost, we didn't refund it. I made more than a dozen phone calls to the B & B owner. When I arrived at the B & B at night, I was so glad that I didn't return it. I just had a little regret. The B & B owner said on the B & B platform that he would treat us to make persimmon beef that night, but I didn't see it. I felt so sorry that I wanted to cry.
Originally, we planned to go around the lake the next morning, but on the morning, we learned about the route around the lake, accommodation locations, weather and other reasons on the way, and temporarily adjusted to go around the lake after arriving in the afternoon. Facts proved that our choice was correct. The chartered bus driver that the B & B owner helped find picked us up and took us to a local steam pot fish restaurant. It was so delicious!
Probably the luckiest thing along the way was that the big drivers I met were all super nice people. They would talk to us about local customs and customs and share their stories with us. When we were traveling around the lake by boat, the morning was cloudy and sunny. We also saw one of the few beautiful aquatic poplar flowers. Our eldest brother took us to every scenic spot. When we passed through the cornfields in the middle, we really wanted to get off the bus and have a look. Our eldest brother also gave us two corns, which we later donated to the owner of the B & B. When chatting, the driver also said that he was already preparing his own B & B. If we go next time, he would invite us to stay for free. I hope he still remembers his promise hahahaha.
There is an uncle and a younger brother on the wedding bridge who can use drones to shoot videos. In order to save tens of yuan, we appointed zz to add my brother's WeChat account. Hahaha. The younger brother and zz chatted enthusiastically. When we returned to the B & B at night, we chatted with the boss and told this story. The boss joked with zz together and said that he would let the younger brother come over for the wedding and give them another room for free. Hahaha, I still want to laugh.
After visiting the lake, we arrived at the B & B in the evening. We were so lucky that we didn't change to a B & B in the end, and we didn't give up our original choice for various reasons. The B & B is located on the edge of Lugu Lake. Our room is facing the lake. There are two recliners on the small balcony outside the room. Ah Zhang and I couldn't wait to lie down. It was perfect.
Brother Gang, the owner of the B & B, told us that there was a performing arts center nearby that held performances at night and we could dance to Guozhuang. When we had nothing to do at night, we bought tickets to watch it. There was a session where the audience was invited to perform on stage. Zz and I didn't think it was a big deal to watch the fun, so we decisively pushed Ah Zhang up. Now I think about the scene of Ah Zhang being thrown up by five or six Mosuo boys after singing.
After watching the performance, I found it was raining outside. I called Brother Gang and came to pick us up immediately. After returning to the B & B, I sat at the front desk and chatted with Brother Gang and another boss. Brother Gang is indeed from the Northeast and is very good at chatting. In order to test whether the dog he knew how to drink could really drink it, we also opened a bottle of beer, and it turned out to be really drunk! What a powerful dog! This night of aimless chatting is a bit charming and a bit missed.
DAY6 Lugu Lake-Lijiang
Lugu Lake was still foggy in the morning. A Zhang and I went for a walk by the lake in our pajamas. Although it was a little chilly, it was more relaxed and happy. I went back to my room and tidied up a little. I went to the front desk to eat the rice noodles made by my aunt. After dinner, I had a cup of coffee in the courtyard and looked at the lake in the distance. The years were still. After dinner, we also rented a shared electric car to go to Valentine's Bay. A Zhang is good at driving and wanted to take a scooter.
It was close to noon, and we reluctantly said goodbye to the boss (most importantly, we didn't want to leave). It was evening again when we arrived in Lijiang. We lived in the ancient city, and the road conditions to the B & B were not easy to walk. Two young brothers came out to help us carry our luggage. I went for a stroll in the ancient city at night.
DAY7 Lijiang-Yulong Snow Mountain-Lijiang Ancient City
Because we were not very interested in the ancient city, the time we reserved in Lijiang was not very long. The main thing was to go to the Yulong Snow Mountain. Because A Zhang had a criminal record of high treason, we went to the pharmacy the night before and prepared an oxygen bottle and glucose. There is a special bus from the ancient city to Yulong Snow Mountain. Just pay attention to advance the time. When we arrived at the scenic area, we played for a while at the entrance of the scenic area. There was a large forest, and the distant view was very beautiful. At noon, I ate something in the cafeteria in the scenic area, then drank glucose and went up the mountain. The process of going up the mountain was smoother than expected. Maybe it was because the whole process was slow, so there was almost no oxygen intake. The wind on the mountain was relatively strong, and we had to stop and slow down almost every ten or twenty steps. Everyone was wrapped up tightly. Because we were troubled by some small things at that time, we even shouted a few times on the mountain. Later, we thought about it, it was an insult to the snowy mountains. Those insignificant little things were no big deal.
There is a Blue Moon Lake at the foot of the mountain. The water is blue and blue, which still feels a bit like the water of new Zealand. Hahahaha. Many people take wedding photos here
In the evening, the boss organized a group to play werewolf killing, only to realize that there were so many staff members in the B & B. It was quite fun.
DAY8 Lijiang-Kunming-Guangzhou
In fact, I can't remember why we want to go to Kunming and return to Guangzhou. It may be because there are more flights or because the tickets are cheap, but no matter what the reason is, I think it is worth it.
The B & B can provide photo taking services, and we have made an appointment in advance. The moment I climbed on the roof, I was really not "nervous", although my toes had betrayed me. Although the last photo was hahahaha. After taking photos, we rushed to eat the chicken soup rice noodles recommended by the boss in the ancient city. Maybe it was because we were too short for time and didn't find it particularly delicious. After dinner, we took a taxi to the train station.
Because it was about ten o'clock in the evening, we decided to have dinner in Kunming. We took a look on the way and chose to eat Dai pilaf. This pilaf was the reason why we thought it was worth taking a detour to Kunming. I ordered a set meal, which cost only more than 100 yuan for three people. The pilaf has many side dishes, and every dish is delicious. Paoluda is also very good. None of the three of us finished it, but we thought it was too delicious to waste, so we decided to pack the rest and bring it back to Guangzhou. After we came back, we tried to find if there was a place to eat pilaf, but unfortunately there was no place.
After dinner, I went to buy Jiahua flower cakes as a souvenir. I bought about dozens of boxes. My friend said that the freshly baked cakes were really delicious.
Maybe only by truly going to a place can you discover the beauty of this place. This trip has completely changed my impression of Yunnan. I want to go to many places again, twice or even many times. Recently, Guangzhou opened a direct flight to Lugu Lake. We are planning to focus on visiting Lugu Lake, but due to the epidemic, I don't know if it can be achieved yet, so I'm a little looking forward to it.
