Go north from the Ancient City of Lijiang, travel about four kilometers along the east side of the Zhongji Sea, and you will see a dense number of villages at the foot of the mountains on both sides. This is the ancient town of Shuhe, known as the hometown of Qingquan.
Lijiang has three ancient towns, Dayan, Shuhe and Baisha. Dayan is very lively, with a lively nightlife and everything. Walking at two o'clock in the morning at Dayan Ancient City, there are still many shops open. For me, it is a bit commercial; and Baisha is still an undeveloped ancient town, which still retains the appearance of a simple ancient town. It is a great place for people who like to find tranquility; But Shuhe is somewhere between Dayan and Baisha. There is some shopping during the day, but if you want to be quiet at night, there is absolutely no problem... This time, I have traveled through all three ancient towns in the footsteps of Yimeye experts. I really think about it, I still prefer the feeling of Shuhe and Baisha.
Compared with Dayan Ancient Town, which has been over-commercialized, I may prefer the simple folk customs preserved in Shuhe Ancient Town. Although it is bustling, you can always find a peaceful place.
Shuhe is called "Shaowu" in Naxi. Because the mountains behind the village are like peaks, the village is named after the mountains. It is spread and mutated, meaning "village under the peak." It is one of the earliest settlements of Naxi ancestors in Lijiang Bazi, and it is also an important market town well preserved on the ancient tea-horse road. So you can still see a lot of horse elements here.
From time to time in the ancient town, there will also be grooms riding horses to solicit business, but personally still like the feeling of slowly walking, stopping and patting.
There are also various exciting elements-chinchilos, trojans, meaty, flowers... The elements that literary and artistic novices like are all here ~
There are many fruit sellers in Shuhe Ancient Town. I don't know if the land is fertile, but the fruits here look so lively ~
This copy, haha ~
In Shuhe, you can visit ancient houses, eat delicious food, spend a leisurely afternoon, taste books, taste tea, taste life, or bask in the sunshine on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, or go aimlessly shopping to buy various tourist products, or stay in a small inn, the most simple kind, or take photos. You can find the atmosphere of nature and humanity everywhere
The creek flows down directly from the melting ice and snow of the Yulong Snow Mountain, so the creek is clear and cool. Merchants soak the food in water, which is like freezing in a refrigerator, which is very environmentally friendly.
Even the dog is full of happiness ~
Sifang Tingyin is the center of the town. There are free folk song and dance performances every once in a while. Tourists like to stop and watch carefully.
At the entrance archway of the ancient town, there is a wishing wind chime... It jingles in the sun, which is very nice.
Everyone wrote down a beautiful wish...
The restaurants in Shuhe Ancient Town are also unique in Lijiang. The environment is really good, much better than those restaurants in the ancient city of Lijiang. Not only is the environment good, but the prices are also much more affordable. In Shuhe Ancient Town, I like Fuxian Xiaoguo Rice the most. This restaurant is next to a stream, the door is full of flowers, and the balcony on the second floor is the best location. It serves a wide variety of delicacies, tastes good and affordable prices. No wonder it is the gourmet restaurant frequented by the most celebrities in Lijiang!
Transportation Tips: It is located four kilometers northwest of the ancient city of Lijiang. You can take a bus or a taxi from Lijiang to Shuhe. The taxi is generally 20 yuan without using the meter. You can also rent a bicycle from Lijiang and ride there. It is especially suitable for young people and couples.
Best season: Suitable for all seasons. Flowers are in full bloom in spring, cool summer, cool autumn, and abundant sunshine in winter. They are all good choices.
