I have always wanted to write a travel note. Last year, I went to Guilin and Yangshuo and wanted to write it, but later, because I was lazy, I never started writing! I hope I can still record this trip to Yunnan, but it should be a running account record. It should be a starting point for the future. I also hope to give more reference to the friends who see it, because I will take a look every time before I go on a free trip. It really works!

(In my itinerary introduction, after there are some small details, you can go down and take a look at the daily itinerary. Don't be too wordy, especially the Yulong Snow Mountain, which is worth reference!!!)

Since my wife is a teacher, our annual travel time can only be counted during the summer vacation, usually in late July or early August. There is really no way out, but we can only crowd with people during the peak tourist season, and the cost is high!

This time we had a total of nine days and eight nights. We set out from Guangzhou, went to Kunming by train, and then flew back to Guangzhou from Kunming. The total cost was about 15,000 yuan. Before I set out, I referred to the five-diamond custom tour on Ctrip. In fact, the price was similar, but I didn't choose at that time. In fact, I still wanted to be more free. After all, I still had to consider other people in the group. If you want to change your itinerary or stay at a certain point for a longer time, it would not be so convenient!

In fact, this trip is the second time I have formulated a free travel strategy myself. The preparation time is not long, and I only started watching it two weeks before departure on July 23! Basically, I checked the route I took on Ctrip, and I also checked the location of the five-diamond tour, and then basically followed this route! We booked three places this time, Kunming, Dali and Lijiang!

After setting the departure time, the first thing was to choose transportation and book tickets. Since the fastest bullet train from Guangzhou to Kunming only took six and a half hours, we felt that our 6-year-old daughter could still hold on. In order to save some money, our home was close to the Guangzhou South Railway Station, which set off, so we chose the bullet train in Kunming in the past. Although my daughter didn't get to 1.2 meters without a ticket, she still bought three seats, which would be more comfortable. Facts proved to be true, because we set out at eight o'clock, and my daughter got up early. On the bullet train, it's basically all about sleeping. It's much more comfortable to sleep in an extra position. Then I came back and predicted that I would be tired, and I happened to have a not-too-expensive ticket, so I chose a plane when I came back. There are more than 500 bullet train tickets and 880 plane tickets!

After booking transportation, we went to the hotel. Because this time we had basically booked our daily itinerary, the hotel could also book all first. This was also to prevent the hotel from being able to book if the summer peak season was too close! Because my wife prefers cleanliness, she still has requirements for hotels. I basically book hotels at Ctrip. I just look at the ratings and reviews, as well as the real-life pictures in the reviews. I feel that it is still real, so I will comment and post pictures after I stay to provide more reference opinions for future generations! Hotels in various places will be reviewed later, and I won't introduce them in detail!

On the first day in Kunming, we took the train at 8 o'clock and arrived at Kunming South Railway Station at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Since we chose the hotel in the urban area, we did not take a taxi. Instead, we took the Kunming subway. It took an hour from the South Railway Station to the hotel. We checked into the hotel at 4 o'clock. We stayed in a Jiaoxi She hotel, which is right in the center of the city, not far from the subway station. It is convenient to eat and drink, and it is also very literary. Personally, I think it is good! After settling in, of course, it was dinner. Since there were friends in Kunming, they invited them to a mushroom banquet. Summer vacation is the right time to eat fungi. However, if you don't have friends, it's best to find a place first. At the restaurant where we went to eat, I saw many people waiting for them! Many tourists turn back when they come to see many people. If you want to eat, you must make plans!

The next day we went to Shilin and Jiuxiang. We booked a one-day tour group at Ctrip on the night before the departure. The departure time was 7:30 in the morning. There was a car in the city. Because we had a tight schedule, we had to go to these two places in one day, so we could only take a one-day tour. If we had time, we could stay in Kunming for two days. We could buy your own tickets and choose a place to stroll slowly. I checked and found that the transportation was quite convenient! During the summer vacation, every scenic spot is of course for everyone!

I returned to the city around 6 p.m. that day and went to the pedestrian street for a while! In fact, there are still some places worth visiting in Kunming, Cuihu Park and Dianchi Lake, but we have no choice this time. We have discussed to only go to Shilin and Jiuxiang!

On the third day, we slept until past 8 o'clock because we had to take the 10:30 train to Dali. It is recommended here that the summer vacation be vacated. If we take the train to Kunming Station, we still need to have more departure time. Although the hotel we stayed in seemed to be away from Kunming Station. Not far from Kunming Station, due to the large number of cars nearby, Kunming was actually a traffic jam in the city center. We had to have enough time. We were in a hurry at that time! After arriving in Dali, I stayed in a B & B in Nanmen. There are many B & Bs in Dali. Everyone can choose freely. The one we stayed in felt average, so I don't recommend it! I had rice noodles across the bridge for lunch and dinner that afternoon. I went to Chongsheng Temple for a while. Since July and August are the rainy season in Yunnan, it rains at random, and there is heavy rain in the afternoon and evening, so I didn't have much fun. I just went around casually

On the fourth day, my wife had actually been to Dali before, so the main purpose of this trip to Dali was to go to the Shuanglang area on the eastern line of Erhai Lake. Therefore, we rented a car at the hotel this time. The price was 480 yuan. A guide took us around the entire journey! Since it rained in the morning, we chose to go to Xizhou Ancient Town on the western line of Erhai Lake first. Although there are many scenic spots on the east and west lines of Erhai Lake, it is impossible to visit all of them in one day, and we must make a choice. Therefore, we walked the western line in a hurry. There were many scenic spots that my wife had also visited, but she was even less interested. Moreover, we didn't really like Huahai and Butterfly Spring, so we had no choice this time! The focus is still on the east line, which has double corridors and can be closer to the sea!

Thank God for giving me face. It was still raining in Xizhou in the morning. When we arrived at Shuanglang, the sky began to clear up and we just saw the white clouds on Cangshan Mountain opposite us and the houses on the lower floors of Cangshan Mountain. It was indeed a beautiful scenery!

The fifth day was from Dali to Lijiang. We originally set out for Lijiang early in the morning according to the scheduled itinerary, but my wife said that we really wanted to go to Cangshan for a trip and go to Jizhao Temple for a vegetarian meal, so we changed it. We booked a bus from Dali to Lijiang at 2 p.m., and we got to Cangshan in the morning. Cangshan has two cableways, one called Ximatan, which can be higher, and the other is called Gantong. You can search the differences between the two and go to Dali. Just ask the innkeeper! But if you want to go to Jizhao Nan for vegetarian food, it is best to choose Gantong. Unless you are planning to eat the meal at night, you can walk here from Ximatan, which takes time and strength! Our Gantong cableway at ten o'clock is tight, that is, we can look at the Erhai Lake from another angle on the cableway, go to the Zhenlong Chessboard to check, get down from the cableway, and then go up the mountain to Jizhao Nun. From the entrance of the cableway to Jizhao Nun, it takes about ten minutes faster. For those with children, it takes half an hour, so everyone has to calculate the time well, because there is a time period for vegetarian meals in Jizhao Nun, so if you want to eat, you must go up around twelve o'clock! Vegetarian food. I don't know if I'm tired from climbing the mountain, but I think it's delicious. There is a lot of meat in the nunnery. I have time after eating, and I can take a look slowly. There are really many people eating. I have to sigh at the charm of the tourist season! The picture shows vegetarian meal. I ate a full bowl. Everyone, pay attention, pack as much as you eat, and make sure you finish it!

After eating vegetarian food, we took the bus to Lijiang. Although there are bullet trains to choose from, I suggest that everyone take the bus. It takes three hours from Dali to most of Lijiang. It is about the same as a bullet train, but you can see the scenery along the way. It's good!

Since we chose Cangshan in the morning, it was already past five o'clock when we arrived in Lijiang. We wanted to spend half a day to see the ancient city of Lijiang, but we had no time, so we could only stroll around at night. We happened to meet the Torch Festival and join in the fun! There is a Torch Festival at the end of July every year. We didn't pay attention to it when making our trip. If you are particularly interested in this, you can choose a time to set your trip!

On the sixth day, we signed up for a group tour to enter Lugu Lake and go to Lugu Lake. I personally suggested that it would be better to go in with a small group. It was purely for fun. The price was 2000 yuan for the three of us. This was because we asked for a very good hotel. Another family near the lake and in the same group with us. They did not specifically request a hotel. I heard from them that it would cost around 600 yuan per person, which would be cheaper! A friend happened to be there. Their group was a shopping group, and the cost was relatively low, about 300 yuan, but they just bought silverware and talked for several thousand yuan, so this is a matter of opinion! Anyway, those are the attractions in Lugu Lake. Everyone is basically the same, except where they live and the order of playing are different!

However, the weather when we went to Lugu Lake was average. We couldn't help it during the rainy season. It was just luck to be able to meet sunny days. We were okay. At least we took a boat on the lake and several scenic spots. The weather was good

This is the hotel I chose. The location is really good and comfortable. The weather was bad on the day I stayed. If the weather was good, I could watch the sunrise directly from the balcony the next day. What a pity!

On the seventh day, on the morning of the seventh day, I just visited Ligg Island. The weather was not good, so I just signed up for a casual stroll. Then I had lunch and returned to Lijiang. It actually took ten hours to get in and out of Lugu Lake. If there is a traffic jam, it will be even more troublesome. Lugu Lake is actually quite suitable for being in a daze, especially when the weather is good. Personally, I suggest that we have time and stay there for two nights. We will be in a hurry and tired for two days. We did not return to the ancient city of Lijiang until after seven o'clock that day. It rained in Lijiang at night, and we had to go to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. We had to get up early and have a good rest, so we didn't visit the ancient city of Lijiang much. After a meal, we went back to the hotel to rest

On the eighth day, Yulong Snow Mountain, Yulong Snow Mountain, we also signed up for a set ticket. Here are some warm reminders for everyone's reference!

1. Why did we book a set ticket at that time? It was because the innkeeper might have a set ticket and there was no guarantee that we could get on the big cableway! As for the difference between large cableways and small cableways, you can understand first, and I won't talk too much here! The package ticket includes the Impressions of Lijiang, so it will be a bit more expensive. We are an adult for 800 yuan (and finally found out that the innkeeper also sold it to us), so in fact, everyone can go to Ctrip and book an official ticket, saying it is guaranteed. If you really want to see the Impressions of Lijiang, buy it one by one! When we were leaving, we heard from the Didi driver that there is also an APP on Yulong Snow, where you can have tickets for the big cableway. We have not verified this, so you can find out.

2. In fact, you don't need to follow a group to go to Yulong Snow Mountain! You can go by yourself. The advantage of this is that you don't have to get up early. We followed the group that day, so we gathered at 6:15. This was too early, especially with our six-year-old daughter. It was really tiring. This was the most failed part of our entire trip, but because we were only notified of this time on the night before the departure, there was no way to change it. If we knew it was this time, we would definitely not have chosen this ticket!

3. As for oxygen, I feel that one is enough. If there is a high reaction, I feel that it will not work to absorb oxygen temporarily. If there is no high reaction, I don't think we should be too excited before and after the snowy mountains. Running and jumping is the best way. Of course, you can buy more one and prepare it before you leave!

4. Anyway, I don't think tickets for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are as difficult to buy as everyone thinks. Don't be scared! Impressed Lijiang, a live-action performance can be regarded as a place to watch. If the weather is good, it will be much better to have the snowy mountains behind. Our weather is average that day, so the effect is discounted!

After talking about the tips, I actually like the Yulong Snow Mountain. Although it has not snowed, for a child in the south, when he reaches the highest point and sees the glacier, he is still quite satisfied! I want to go to Yulong Snow Mountain, but there is a choice. Everyone still chooses to go in winter. I think it will be better. It will basically rain during the summer vacation!

After touring the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we chose to rush back to Kunming that night. If we had known that the time was so tight, I think I would have chosen to spend an extra day in Lijiang. After all, we didn't even have a good tour of the ancient city of Lijiang, nor did we visit the nearby area. This can only be left for next time!

If you are like us who have to catch a train at night, we must calculate the time well, especially if you want to go to Lijiang Railway Station again on a trip to Lugu Lake, it's best not to. Because the time is not easy to control when you come out of Lugu Lake. It rained that day and there were traffic jams in several locations. The driver and tour guide said they didn't know how long it would take. Pay attention to this!

At 10:30 that night, we took the bullet train back to Kunming and chose a boutique hotel next to Kunming Railway Station! We bought these bullet tickets early in the morning at Ctrip. You may also know that Kunming Station and Kunming South Railway Station are not the same station. Kunming Station is in the city center, and South Railway Station is not in the city center, but both have subways!

On the ninth day, we slept until we woke up naturally and went to the city center to have lunch. This place is called "One Seal". It's a good place. Everyone can choose. My wife has visited Yunnan twice and ate in this place in Kunming. It's a restaurant in a historical building! After dinner, we took the subway to Changshui Airport and returned to Guangzhou!

Please forgive me for being verbose and writing my first travel notes like a running account. I rushed it out during working hours! Yunnan is a good place, and we will go again. I think it is very suitable for free travel. Everyone can make more time in advance. Don't choose three places at a time like we did this time and travel in a hurry. I think only two places are the best! For example, Kunming, Lijiang, or Lijiang, Dali, Lijiang. The next time we go, it should be Shangri-La and Puzhei!
