After that, we will go north along National Highway 214. On the right hand side is the green Jinsha River to drink water, and on the back of the Yulong Snow Mountain in the distance, and the Haba Snow Mountain in the distance. The national highway and the highway have their own advantages and disadvantages. I also believe that the scenery we see is also different, so everyone can take what you need ~~ We will pass by the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area on the way. As we don't go to the scenic area, we naturally choose to continue on our way. On the way, you will pass a wild observation deck to see the panoramic view of Haba Snow Mountain. Because the snow on the road has not yet melted, the snow in the blue sky, the snowy mountains, the fir trees and the forest are really like a painting. After passing the Haba Snow Mountain Observation Deck, the road becomes much smoother, and the villages on both sides of the road are also very beautiful. I think this should be the fun of taking the national highway.
Arriving at Shangri-La around 1 p.m., I have to say that the three-year epidemic has left many people who want to do some business here, leaving only those locals who have their own yards who are still opening stores. However, it may be due to the off-season, but not many people have opened stores. Shangri-La stopped for a short time to eat hard, went to the ancient city of Dukezong, turned the prayer wheel, and after meeting the Little Potala Palace, we continued on our way. Drive out of Shangri-La and then take National Highway 214. Not long after driving, the Napa Sea appears on the left. Because the weather is sunny, half of the sea and half of the grassland are still very beautiful. The Napa Sea will appear again on the way back, so it will not be here for the time being.
There are winding roads and large trucks starting on the road from Shangri-La to Deqin. You must pay attention to safety when overtaking uphill, not only because of the cars, but also various kinds of grass eating on the roadside.🐑🐑🐮🐮After walking a winding mountain road, the first thing we saw was the Baima Snow Mountain. This should be the third snow mountain we saw today. Of course, we know that today's highlight is not here yet. After eating something casually, I continued to drive towards Deqin. I walked through three white horse tunnels, one with lights and two without lights, so it was actually easier to overtake. As long as I saw no lights on the opposite side, I could pass directly with floor oil. I still remember the feeling when I arrived in Deqin County and saw Meili Snow Mountain for the first time!!! It was just sunset at that time, and there were only a few small clouds inlaid with Phnom Penh, which did not move above Kavarberg Peak.
The accommodation was booked at the Pearl Laka Snow Mountain View Hotel. In the top floor room, the innkeeper said that one window could see the white horse and the other side could see the Meili. I went to eat preserved pork ribs and local chicken hot pot that night, because the yak meat and beef were sold out when I arrived!!!
On the third and fourth days, I watched Rizhao Jinshan in Deqin
the third day
On the roof of the inn, I took a time-delay photo. When I first saw the sun shining on the top of the mountain, I burst into tears. The shock brought by Rizhao Jinshan is indeed a direct beauty to the soul. After watching Rizhao Jinshan, we headed for Yubeng Village and found a wild observation deck on the roadside. This is the Kawarg Observation Deck, where we watched the sunrise on the fourth day. Of course, he didn't go in on the way to Yubeng Village. He decisively turned around at the ticket office and parked the car next to a white tower in Bu Village at the foot of the mountain. He happened to encounter three Tibetan uncles turning the white tower, so he followed suit. Under the sun, looking at the snowy mountains and white towers, eating dried fruit cakes and drinking butter tea, this should be the fun of driving. After walking west, we went to the foggy roof. I looked at the deep mountains of Kavarg from another angle. I have to say that the view here is indeed broader. No wonder the rooms here can be sold for so expensive even when I go down the mountain, but, it feels a bit far away from the snowy mountains. On the way to the inn, you must pass the largest cross in Deqin County. There is a prayer flag shop on the corner where you can buy Longda and use it at the sunrise.
~~ Return journey ~~
Day 4, Deqin-Lijiang
This morning, Rizhao Jinshan was at the Cavarg Observation Deck, which is a wild observation deck on the roadside. Many people came, and it was really close to the snowy mountains. I scattered Ronda here, took pictures of it delayed, and saw a young lady who needed to change to 5-6 sets. I saw the young lady who was picking up me on the ground and threw Ronda out. Later, I gave her some. After watching Rizhao Jinshan, I went back to the inn to check out. I actually returned today, my destination is Lijiang.
When you pass Shangri-La on the way back, you will pass by the Napa Sea. Please be careful not to go to the Napa Sea Scenic Area. You can navigate the Napa Sea Lake Road and you can drive in directly. After walking the winding mountain road, you will see a roadside observation deck. Yes, this is the Napahai Observation Deck. After that, he followed the lake road and walked halfway around the Napa Sea. It was almost noon after the tour, so I went to Shangri-La for lunch.
On the way back, I felt like I was going down the mountain, so the time would be shorter. I soon arrived at the vegetable market. On the way, I passed two beautiful cable-stayed bridges. Later I learned that these were the Jinsha River Bridge and part of the highway. After buying some more food at the vegetable market and planning to take it back to Xi'an, we soon arrived in Lijiang!
Day 5, Lijiang-Dali
The journey is not far today, and it is almost 12 o'clock to reach Dali, haha! After starting from Lijiang, we then took National Highway 214, where we recommended family members to go to Jianchuan. It is known as the Shenxian Town sandwiched between Dali and Lijiang. Jianhu Wetland is also one of the destinations outside our plan. So, let's go! It was actually nearly afternoon when I arrived at Jianhu, but it was just sunset, so I decided to go in and take a walk. This trip was really amazing. I happened to encounter a local uncle who was going to the center of the island to feed, so I took the two of us to feed together, and the uncle didn't charge (what kind of magical luck was this). Jianhu Wetland is really good to see at sunset. It is one of the places in my impression that best suits the local scenery of Yunnan. After chatting with Uncle all the way, tourists from all over the country talked about Uncle and his two sons. Although the sky was getting dark and there were only the three of us on the entire lake, it was really a miracle to meet them.
After Jianhu finished, we went directly to Dali by highway. Because safety was the main priority after dark, we decided to take the highway. I stayed at the inn at Caicun Wharf at night. I really recommended that my family stay at Caicun Wharf by the seaside. There are too many people at Longkan Wharf and the road is a bit narrow. There is a main road in Caicun that runs directly from the Xijing Line to the Erhai Lake. When I passed Chongsheng Temple that night, it happened that the third towers had night lights, which were very beautiful. After having dinner in Gucheng, he quickly returned to the inn to sleep.
Day 6, Dali-Kunming
When I got up in the morning to watch the sunrise on Cangshan and Erhai, I also saw the sun and the moon shining together. While the sun slowly rose in the east, a bright moon slowly fell on Cangshan. Although the sunrise on Cangshan is not as direct to the soul as Meili, it seems very gentle and soft. The light and temperature of the sun will give people a particularly warm feeling. Riding along the Erhai Lake after sunrise is really comfortable. The sun in the morning is not so warm, and the wind is even a little cool. However, there is nothing to be dissatisfied with Cangshan in the left hand and Erhai Lake in the right hand.
After taking a stroll in the ancient city of Dali, he bought tea leaves and flower cakes, ate rice noodles, and drove in the direction of Kunming. When he came, he took the Kunchu Expressway, but! Be sure to take the Hangzhou-Rui Expressway. The scenery on the roadside is much better than the Kunchu Expressway!!! It was sunny along the way, and even when we were driving to Kunming, we were so hot that we were wearing short sleeves.
To sum up, this trip to the snowy mountains in northwest Yunnan is really perfect. It is a small pity that some scenic spots have not been visited. However, the fun of self-driving is really different every time. The summarized tips are placed below for family use.
Tips:
1. Thread hat, gloves, scarf, down jacket, cotton wool pants, thick socks must be necessary, lip balm, sunscreen must be necessary!! Because of ultraviolet light, cracked lips are really painful;
2. When renting a car, it is still recommended to just use a car. Japanese cars are the first choice, which saves fuel, but they are more exhausted when overtaking on uphill roads;
3. A must-go to the vegetable market in Shangri-La Economic Development Zone (really not advertising) to replenish the snacks on the road;
4. If you are confident in driving skills, I really recommend taking National Highway 214. Not only do you save tolls, you can stop as you go. I am really happy. If you are on a winding road, you can drive slowly;
5. There is really no need to buy tickets in the Napa Sea Scenic Area. Take the road around the sea. In winter, there is no sea road because there is little water. In summer, there should be one when there is much water;
6. Regarding the cost issue, the difference between off-season and off-season seasons is really quite big, because this trip time is from the 3rd to the 8th, which is really the first wave after the epidemic was lifted. At that time,"Going to a Windy Place" had just started broadcasting, so the overall traffic is OK;
7. There are actually not many tips for diet, so you can search for it yourself based on your taste.
It seems that I can think of so much at the moment, and other family members will slowly add if they like it.
