In December, the seagulls returned to the Erhai Lake as scheduled, and I came back again.

Walking to Xiaoputuo to see the seagulls, the scene was like a reunion of a friend who had not been seen for a long time.

I remember last year at this time, I stayed in this B & B in Tinghuatang in Haidong for several days. I still like the photos of the sky mirror on the roof very much.

The older I get, the more nostalgic I get, and I habitually booked my accommodation here this time. It's just been a year since we haven't seen each other. Today, Tinghuatang is the most popular B & B on the Erhai Lake. Although it was two days in advance, I only booked two nights of accommodation.

I can say I love the public area of the B & B. The sunken space is very suitable for taking photos. The noon sun in Dali is very dazzling, and it seems that I can't care too much to take photos.

I once wrote a travel note about Dali. At that time, I still liked to check in to scenic spots all day long, but now I feel that finding a favorite hotel is the best expression of the time in Erhai Lake.

After taking a nap, I ordered afternoon tea in the restaurant, stared blankly at Cangshan all afternoon, and saw the familiar light of Jesus again.

Every time I come to Dali, I seem to have new surprises and envy those young people who come to the Erhai Lake to build their dreams.
I accidentally turned to this place called Haizhi Auditorium and was really beautiful. I wanted to say that I had to come and sign up.

This is not a B & B by Erhai Lake, but a newly developed shooting base. It is very close to Tinghuatang, where I live. It takes less than 10 minutes to drive there.

The white circles are a great viewing frame, and the Cangshan and Erhai Lake are the most beautiful background. Whether they are professional photographers or tourists, they seem to be able to take satisfactory photos.

The building has three floors. There is a wedding platform and an artificial beach on the second floor. Most of the people who come here to take photos are newlyweds taking wedding photos. The simple installation and the dreamy background of Erhai Lake make it really beautiful to leave such a set of wedding photos.

I like to live in Haidong every time I come, because I can see the light of Jesus on the side of Cangshan every afternoon, which is a scenery I have never seen in the city.

The wind on Windmill Mountain is really strong, so we can only choose a lower mountain depression to take photos, otherwise it will not only destroy the hairstyle.

With the withered grass in winter and the windmills here, it's still very nice to take pictures.

It is recommended to come to Windmill Mountain in the morning, but the light will not be smooth in the afternoon. I saw someone taking photos of a flock of sheep before, and it was really super beautiful.

Dali University Cherry Blossom Season commemorates the lost youth

Dali University, not far from the ancient city of Dali, has winter cherry blossoms blooming one after another. She specially brought a school uniform to take photos of this most beautiful university.

During class, you can see the cherry blossoms outside the classroom through the window. It is really romantic and I really envy the students here.

The cherry blossoms here not only bloom early, but also grow among the tea gardens, with magnificent scenery.
This time I came during the winter cherry season, so I specially took a day to take photos.

It is nearly 4 hours from Dali to the Cherry Blossom Valley of Wuliang Mountain. Although the distance is long, you can see the cherry blossoms all over the valley. That kind of sight will make you feel that it is worth it to be so far away.

The faint pink color seems fresh and romantic in the tea mountain, and the breeze blows to your face, and your mood suddenly becomes clear.

Dali's blue sky matches cherry blossoms very well. It's very good to pick up the camera and take pictures casually.

Although cherry blossoms can be seen in many places, it is really magical to meet warm spring flowers blooming in such a cold winter.

The terrain height difference here is large, so you need to find a suitable angle to take photos. Tourists can also walk into Chashan to take photos.

The daytime in Dali is in the twenties these days. I put on a summer dress to take photos. A friend helped me take photos and said that I worked too hard.

The afternoon tea at their house was also full of ceremony. The clerk saw that we liked to take photos, so he moved out all their tent props.

My friends and I could take pictures as much as we wanted in the courtyard. Other guests watched us take pictures and followed us to check in.

The best way to open Shuanglang Ancient Town

Hua Chihiro is very close to Shuanglang Ancient Town. She hasn't been to Shuanglang for a long time, so she wants to go for a stroll in the ancient town.
If you want to take a panoramic view of the ancient town, the observation deck on the top is the best location.

The bougainvillea in the ancient town is still blooming in full bloom, giving people the illusion of being in Southeast Asia.

The fried milk fan in Zhenkou still looks so tempting.

The most popular thing to do when visiting the ancient town is to eat snacks. Eating small shrimps and crispy fried with paste in the Erhai Lake is not enough to eat either.

Perhaps due to the off-season, there are fewer tourists in Shuanglang Ancient Town than last time, and it feels more peaceful and seems to have a more Bai ancient town.

Old people of the Bai nationality can be seen walking everywhere in the ancient town. For tourists, this is an attraction, and for them, this is the hometown of life.

Strolling along the Erhai Lake, listening to the singing and singing on the roadside, the sunshine shining on the firecrackers and flowers is very warm. I really want to spend a winter here.

There are many interesting shops in the ancient town where you can buy some local special accompanying gifts.

Personally, I think that the ancient town of Shuanglang is more interesting in the evening. The sunset gradually turns the Erhai Lake red. I find a small bar to sit and listen to songs and put all my troubles away.

See Lijiang again

After staying in Dali for a few days, I was very relaxed and I really couldn't bear to leave. Our second stop was the Ancient City of Lijiang. Wouldn't it be a pity that we couldn't reach Lijiang even after arriving in Dali?
Dali to Lijiang is only a 3-hour drive, so it is convenient to ask the housekeeper to book a carpool for us.
I booked the Sifang Street View Inn in Tinghuatang. The inn is located on the middle of Lion Rock and can overlook the entire ancient city of Dayan.

Perhaps it was because of the higher altitude, I was already panting after walking for a while. My friend said it was good that I didn't have to carry my own luggage.
Looking at Lijiang at night from the B & B room has a unique flavor. The lights are bright and there are bursts of singing. This is Lijiang, and the more beautiful the night is.

I heard that you could watch the sunrise in the ancient city from the inn, so I got up early. The morning light sprinkled on the flowers was really beautiful.

Every store in Tinghuatang grows a lot of flowers. For a person like me who can't raise flowers alive, I can say that I am super envious.

I love this kind of margarita. It is also in places like Dali, Lijiang that flowers can bloom so luxuriantly.

From Lion Rock, you will reach Sifang Street. Every morning and evening, local Naxi elderly people gather here to dance, and tourists can participate as much as possible.

An alley next to Sifang Street is covered with oil-paper umbrellas. It is a popular Internet celebrity street on Douyin. Photos with few tourists can only be taken in the morning.

The temperature in Lijiang in December is very comfortable. The sun shines through the leaves on the bluestone slabs, revealing mottled light and shadow, which warms the time.

Although I have been to many ancient cities, Lijiang is a very special one. The scenery is very different during the day and at night, and tranquility and excitement always switch freely between day and night.

Dayanhua Lane is a newly built alley in the ancient city. It has literary and artistic shops and streets with Lijiang characteristics. If you have time, you may wish to visit here.

The wishing sign is filled with tourists 'wishes and blessings, making it the most beautiful scenery on this street.

I have been to the ancient city of Lijiang many times, but I rarely take good photos of the ancient city. I took a bunch of photos with my friends in the alleys of the ancient city.

This time, I didn't choose Mufu, which tourists must visit, but walked around the nearby Wangfu Street. Against the backdrop of the trees, the buildings on this street look very beautiful.

Baisha Ancient Town is the village closest to the snowy mountains, and it is also a must-visit place every time I come to Lijiang. Compared with Dayan, there is less noise and more tranquility here.

Starting from Lijiang early in the morning, it was already afternoon to arrive at Lugu Lake. You need to buy tickets to enter Lugu Lake. There is a seating area where you buy tickets. You can see the entire Lugu Lake. Every time you come to Lugu Lake, you feel it's beautiful.

It is no exaggeration to say that Lugu Lake is called the place where immortals live. Sometimes I feel that it's a long journey here, but when I think about it, maybe it's officially so that it can be preserved in such a pristine ecology.

It is recommended to visit Lugu Lake for two or three days. The attractions are all by the lake, and the Ligg Peninsula is a must-visit place for tourists.
There is a viewing platform on top of the Ligg Peninsula, which can overlook the entire peninsula. This is a classic shot for taking pictures of Lugu Lake.

Visitors can drive directly to the parking lot below the Riga Peninsula. Walking inside the peninsula is an undeveloped area. There are several old houses facing the lake and a single tree, just like the scenery in the painting.

When you come out from the Rigg Peninsula, you will pass by Nisse, but in early December, it is like a late autumn scenery. The lake is reflected with golden willows, attracting tourists to stop their cars to take photos.

Next to the B & B is Lover Beach in Sichuan. It is said that the sunset here is also super beautiful. I took photos at the hotel for a long time, but unfortunately I missed the sunset. When I arrived at the lake, the sky had turned romantic lavender.

I found a steam pot fish restaurant nearby for dinner. This is a must-eat food every time I come to Lugu Lake.

Although Lugu Lake is warm during the day in winter, the temperature drops sharply at night. Drinking a bowl of hot fish soup makes you feel so happy.

I missed the sunset yesterday, so I have to go and see the sunrise on Lugu Lake today.
The sunrise in winter is usually around 6 a.m., and the best location is on the Rigg Peninsula.

In the past, it was difficult to find a room on the Rigg Peninsula, but now many inn facilities and equipment are old, but it took less than half an hour to drive from where we live.
In December, Lugu Lake is close to 0 degrees in the morning and evening, and this temperature difference is unexpected.

Tourists passed towards the center of the lake in pig trough boats. As the sun slowly rose from behind the mountain, a faint layer of mist rose on the lake. In the sun, it was like entering a fairyland.

Seagulls follow the cruise ship around, and their cries make the place lively and full of vitality.

The sunrise on Lugu Lake in winter is really beautiful, and the seagulls look very cute in the golden sunshine. I can't help but sigh that the transition from night to day can be so beautiful. We have missed too many beautiful moments.

After having breakfast in the Riga Peninsula, I felt refreshed. On the way back, I went to Nise to feed the seagulls.
Nise is a bit depressed this season. The two couple trees before have disappeared. There are quite a few seagulls on the lake.

Compared with the seagulls in Erhai Lake, the seagulls here get up really early. As long as you feed, they will flock here.

Although there are many seagulls, it is really difficult to get a satisfactory group photo. Maybe I am an insulator of seagulls, and when I press the shutter, there are very few seagulls in the picture.

We only stayed in Lugu Lake for two days, returned to the inn to check out, and then started our journey around the lake.
Zouhun Bridge is a very popular scenic spot in Lugu Lake. Due to years of sediment deposition and the shallow lake water, the reeds are very lush. This season, the reeds have turned golden, and the scenery is also very beautiful.

There are two ends to the wedding bridge. As an old customer, you will never choose to go for a walk on the bridge. Even in the off-season, you may be crowded with tourists.
There is a small path on the side of the road that allows you to climb to the mid-mountain observation deck, where you can take a panoramic view of the marriage bridge.

You should know that on the bridge, you can only take pictures of big heads and wooden boardwalks. Looking at Caohai here actually has an aerial view effect.

Walking along Lugu Lake, you can often see such maple trees, which look beautiful against the sun and blue sky.

Caohaili is not far from the Zouwedding Bridge, which is the perfect location for a cruise ship.
Several wild ducks on the lake entered my lens and became the most vivid scenery in the picture.

I thought this scene was very beautiful, so I couldn't help but go to the car to change my clothes and quickly asked my friends to take some photos.
Every time I go on a trip, I always like to use one day as a few days, as if I do anything to take photos.

I accidentally discovered that there was a thin layer of ice on the lake. No wonder the boatman was nowhere to be seen.

The colorful pig trough boats are the symbol of Lugu Lake. Generally, local Mosuo people will manually punt boats.

It has been eight or nine years since I first came to Lugu Lake. The water here is still as clear as the bottom. I hope there will never be an electric boat sailing on the lake.

This is Tinghuatang's branch in Lugu Lake. The inn is located in the middle of Dazui Village, with excellent views and several good restaurants around.

Food

There are many delicacies in Yunnan, many of which are sour and spicy. Sichuan people can say they like them very much.
Generally, one person can make meals for 40-60, and the snacks are cheap and cheap. This does not include those products bought in the ancient city scenic spots.

Practical guide

Transportation:
Dali, Lijiang, and Lugu Lake all have airports, but Lijiang is the most cost-effective one, so the ancient city of Lijiang is also a big transfer point.
The suggested order is Dali to Lijiang and then to Lugu Lake.

Lijiang-Dali
You can get there by train or car, and the journey takes about 2 hours.
It is recommended to charter or rent a car, but not to take the train. Dali's railway station is a certain distance from Erhai Lake and the ancient city. Many inns in Lijiang can provide carpooling services. The price ranges from 100 to 120 per person and can be delivered directly to the inn.

Lijiang-Lugu Lake
It takes about 4 hours to drive from Lijiang to Lugu Lake. Most of the road is mountain roads, so it is not recommended to rent a car and drive. You can choose to carpool, and the price ranges from 100 to 150 yuan per person.

Sun protection:
Yunnan is located on a plateau, has a high altitude, and has particularly strong ultraviolet rays. Your skin will get tanned without you realizing it. So remember to apply sunscreen, hat, and shawl before going out during the day. Not only can you protect you from the sun, but it will also be very good to take photos.

Climate:
In three places, the temperature in Dali is relatively warm. The temperature difference between Lijiang and Lugu Lake is large in morning and evening. The daytime in December is around 20 degrees, but it is very cold in the morning and evening.
The four seasons in Yunnan do not change much, and the dry and wet seasons are distinct. The annual average temperature is between 12.6 and 19.9°C, and the rainy season is concentrated from June to September.

Dress:
The so-called 18 Yunnan monsters are worn in all seasons, which is also a major feature of Yunnan tourism.
The weather on the plateau is changeable, sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, sometimes cold and sometimes hot. We must respond in time according to changes. In winter, the temperature difference between day and night increases, so you have to wear thick coats in the morning and evening.

Skin care products:
The weather in Yunnan is drier than you think. Hotels basically have floor heating, and the laundry can dry in one night. Girls must wear more moisturizing masks.

There is really no need to sign up for a tour group when traveling to Yunnan. I am very resistant to the way of traveling where the bus drives to one place and takes photos, and the shopping spot does not come out for a long time. In fact, traveling here is simply to relax for a few days. You can visit the surrounding attractions at a drop, and you can also choose to charter a car for transportation between cities.
