I decided to go to Lijiang only a month before departure. The preparation time was relatively short, but I spent 6 days and 5 nights very leisurely. Now I feel happy and satisfied when I think about it. Okay, let's start the first travel story of my life ~~

Preparation Chapter

All round-trip air tickets are booked through Ctrip

Ps: In Lugu Lake on this side of Yunnan, the relatively complete residences are Ligge and Daluoshui. Later, on the way around the island, I saw that the accommodation in Sichuan seemed to be good.

Tips:

1. Yunnan is a high-altitude area with strong ultraviolet rays. You must remember to wear sun protection, hats, and sunglasses;

2. The weather in Yunnan is very dry in winter and spring, much drier than in Guangzhou. Carry skin cream and lipstick with you.

3. If you want to go to Yulong Snow Mountain, please be sure to watch the weather forecast first before making your trip. Our trip was also due to weather problems, which will be discussed below.

Day 1: Guangzhou-Lijiang Airport-Lugu Lake

On February 14, 2019, I took the morning flight to Lijiang Sanyi Airport at 6:25 and arrived at about 10:00. As soon as we got off the plane, we were immediately shocked by the fierce sunshine and strong ultraviolet rays here! Then we picked up the car near the airport (booked it in advance through Ctrip Car Rental) and started a two-day self-driving tour of Lugu Lake!

We thought that the road from Lijiang to Lugu Lake would be difficult to walk, but we didn't expect it to be so thrilling. The road was basically a winding mountain highway with nine twists and eighteen turns. On the left were cliffs and Jinsha River, and on the right we had to always pay attention to falling rocks on the mountain. Seeing that there was a cliff in front of us, I suddenly made a sharp turn. Fortunately, I brought a driver with good skills! Later, people from Lugu Lake Inn also told us that they did not recommend tourists to drive to Lugu Lake by themselves because the mountain roads were dangerous. Along the way, we saw many buses and commercial vehicles traveling between Lijiang and Lugu Lake. I suggest that it is safer to choose a bus or chartered car when you are here for the first time.

Yunnan's scenic spots are quite scattered, and it is very important to find a good guide. Yunnan Xiaomei, her letter: mei 1680 789 It doesn't matter if you are happy.

However, only five or six hours after arriving in Yunnan, I felt like I was going to become a mummy. My hands and lips were cracked and cracked. The weather here is really too dry! After eating and taking a break, my friend went to a nearby supermarket to buy me skin cream, but he brought back a bottle of pure glycerin?? He said it seemed to sell well because there were a lot of them in supermarkets. Still produced in Guangzhou... The people of Lugu Lake have a simple and direct way to protect their skin!

After dinner, we continued on the road and rushed to Rigg to check in at the inn before dark. In fact, Dalishui is only about half an hour's drive from Rigg, but we just drive and stop, take photos and see the scenery, and we are leisurely. The beauty of Lugu Lake is something you don't want to miss from every angle.

It's quite quiet in Rigg at night, but the temperature difference between morning and night in Lugu Lake is too large this season. It's 17-18 degrees comfortable and pleasant during the day, and only a few degrees at night. For a Cantonese, it's probably colder than the coldest time in Guangdong., so you must take measures to keep warm in the morning and evening. It was the Lantern Festival just a few days later. We went out for a walk this night, the bright moonlight shone down, and listened to the sound of the lake beating against the shore. What could be more pleasant than this scene!

Day 2: Self-driving tour around the island on Lugu Lake

The next day, we got up early to watch the sunrise. Previously, we read the strategy that it was best to take a boat to the lake to watch the sunrise in Ligg. It was indeed blocked by mountains. At the beginning, we climbed up the mountain and found that the mountain did not seem to be the best place to watch the sunrise, so we ran back to the lake and so on. Around 8:10, the sun finally gradually emerged! There are mountains, water, sun and animals, just like a famous painting made by a master of traditional Chinese painting with his pen and ink.

After breakfast, we went back to the inn to pack our luggage and started our day of self-driving around the island!

Lugu Lake is also known as the Mysterious Country of Daughters. I only came here later to understand why it is called the Country of Daughters. Lugu Lake is home to the ethnic minority Mosuo people. The Mosuo people are matriarchal society and still maintain the traditional marriage system of walking marriage. Walking marriage means that men and women do not marry. If young men and women like each other, the man will go to the woman's house at night and leave the next day. The children born to the woman will be raised by the woman, so the woman will live with her mother all her life.

Let's talk about the geographical location of Lugu Lake (I forget which travel note I saw from this map. If there is any infringement, please contact and delete it):

One side of Lugu Lake belongs to Yunnan (below the green dotted line) and the other side belongs to Sichuan (above the green dotted line). We traveled around the island along the red solid line. The terrain here in Yunnan seems to be higher, and Lugu Lake is viewed from the mountain road around the island. The Sichuan side is relatively flat (personal feeling). Lugu Lake is a few more suitable places to visit, but! What I want to say is that every place in Lugu Lake is beautiful. No matter what angle, every photo taken is a blockbuster. It's so beautiful, so beautiful! Therefore, not only those few check-in points, as long as you walk around the island, every glance you see will be the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake!

Ligg Observation Platform, I heard that all publicity photos of Lugu Lake were taken in Ligg.

Xiaoshuoshui Village, taking photos here is the Yang Erche Nam Museum.

Lovers Beach gives people a different feeling, just like the vision of the inland sea?? Haha! Unfortunately, the photos really didn't get good ones.

Arriving at Goddess Bay at around three in the afternoon, most people parked their cars on the road and walked to Goddess Bay because the road here collapsed. It was actually very close. I heard that Goddess Bay is the best place to watch the sunset, but unfortunately I can't wait.

Follow the navigation and come to Caohai. Caohai turned out to be a wetland, where migratory birds are stationed. The Caohai this season is the color of hay. Haha, beautiful ~ It's best to map this place to take photos, otherwise it will be easier to miss.

Drive and continue to walk forward until you reach the Zuizongzhuang Bridge. The walking wedding bridge is located in Caohai.

After starting from Caohai, we must look at the navigation, otherwise we will take the wrong way. We also took the wrong way. We arrived in some unknown villages. The local residents still lived in wooden houses, and the couplets at the door were written in Tibetan?? I checked into Daluoshui Village at around 5 o'clock in the afternoon. I found a stone pot fish by the lake for dinner. After dinner, I took a walk by the lake. It was really cold at night and the wind was strong. The lake water kept hitting the shore, giving me a sense of sight on the beach.

At the end of a happy day, the miraculous craftsmanship of nature is a feast for the eyes, and you can't get enough of it.

Day 3: Pig trough boat tour lake-return to the ancient city of Lijiang

On the morning of the third day, a person went out alone to wait for the sunrise. The sunrise here in Dasu Water was another beauty. There were many seagulls at Dasu Water Pier, which was very suitable for taking photos.

The plan couldn't keep up with the changes, so I should return to Lijiang early, so I started the winding mountain highway with nine twists and eighteen turns. The young lady at the inn said that this newly built road from Lijiang-Lugu Lake is the fastest. There is also a scenic spot on the road called Lining Eighteen Bends. She didn't take photos when she came here, but she even went there to take photos when she went back.

It takes 4-5 hours to drive from Lijiang to Lugu Lake, but I have only spent two and a half days on the road in the past few days.

Arrived at the hotel where we stayed in Lijiang Ancient City at nearly 6 p.m., we stayed near the north gate of the ancient city. The ancient city of Lijiang has no walls, and there are roads in and out everywhere. It is necessary, but there are many places that remind us to pay the ancient city dimensions, but we did not pay them.

In the evening, I went to eat the grandma's preserved pork ribs at Gucheng North Gate Store. The taste was still good. The price was cheaper than Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake consumption was quite expensive. A bottle of yogurt cost 10 yuan. You can eat a vegetable called water poplar flower at almost every meal in Lijiang, which is very common.

After dinner, go buy dry food for climbing the Yulong Snow Mountain tomorrow, and book the ticket at Ctrip in advance. At that time, we booked the tour fee per person, which included the shuttle bus to and from the Yulong Snow Mountain to the ancient city + the large cableway + trips to the Blue Moon Valley attractions, excluding the entrance fee. Explain the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area: You must pay the entrance fee, and someone comes to the car to collect it when you are at the door; Yulong Snow Mountain has three cableways, one of which can go to Glacier Park. In fact, it can go to the highest point of the Yulong Snow Mountain that is currently conquered, and tickets for the large cableway; the other Yunshanping and Yanniuping cableways are relatively cheaper, but they seem to not be able to reach Glacier Park, so we will not consider it. It is unclear whether other scenic spots in the scenic area such as Lanyue Valley and Ganhaizi are needed in addition to mountain climbing, because they all follow the directions of the tour guide drivers.

Recently, it has been snowing on the Yulong Snow Mountain. When I saw the news that the cableway on the Yulong Snow Mountain was closed and stopped that day at night, I was worried that tomorrow's trip would not go smoothly.

Day 4: Regret of the snowy mountains, change to Shuhe Ancient Town

On the fourth day, I took the bus to the snowy mountain early. The driver said that he might not be able to get to the snowy mountain today, so he drove to the vicinity of the snowy mountain first and waited for news. While I got off the bus to buy a bottle of oxygen, I received a notice that because of the heavy snow on the mountain last night, the road was blocked. Today, the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area was closed all day. It was really sad. As a Cantonese who had never seen snow, I had great expectations to climb the snowy mountains, but now I have to return home.

After returning to the hotel, we discussed taking the courage to book a group to Xueshan tomorrow. Let's try our luck! We booked a small commercial charter tour for 6-7 people, including mountain entrance fee + large cableway fee + down jacket fee + oxygen fee.

After booking, I went for a stroll in the ancient city. Lunch was served at a restaurant called Nafu near the north gate. The salmon you eat can also be raised in Lijiang's climate and snowy mountains and springs. You can eat it raw or cooked.

After lunch, go to Shuhe Ancient Town for more than ten yuan. When we entered the door, we foolishly bought it. In fact, we can enter Shuhe Ancient Town without needing to. We bought tickets to visit the museum in the ancient town. It felt so ordinary and we could not go. Shuhe Ancient Town used to be an important transit point on the ancient tea-horse road. When we entered, there were fewer people than the Ancient City of Lijiang. It was more natural here. The Ancient City of Lijiang was naked commercialization. In fact, the scenery of the ancient towns and ancient cities is roughly similar, so just stroll around. There are many carriages with bells hanging on the road to carry passengers. The crisp sound of bells and the sound of hooves echoed on the stone roads in the ancient town. This was probably the scene here hundreds of years ago!

There are maps on the ancient town of Shuhe, or guidelines on various roads. There is no must-go destination. In this overflowing afternoon sunshine, just go and stop, listen, and enjoy and relax yourself.

After returning to Lijiang, I went to Lion Mountain in the ancient city to watch the sunset, but I missed the sunset. I heard that the Wangu Tower on Lion Mountain can overlook the entire city, but it seemed closed when I arrived. Arriving at Sifang Street from the Lion Rock at about 7 p.m., I happened to encounter a bonfire party here (there should be 7 p.m. every night). The performers and tourists danced in circles, and many foreigners also participated. It was very lively.

For dinner, we had Mengzi crossing the bridge rice noodles. How can we come to Yunnan without tasting the crossing the bridge rice noodles? The red rice enema here is also delicious!

Day 5: The god of luck favored the snow-capped mountain

On the fifth day, we set off early for the snowy mountains. As soon as we got on the bus, the driver told us that the cableway on the snowy mountains was open normally today, and because of the heavy snow for two consecutive days, the snow was thicker and the scenery was more beautiful! So happy! Finally, I was favored by the God of Fate, haha!

ps: The group we booked has a bottle of oxygen for each person. If we booked a group that does not include oxygen, it is best to buy a bottle in the ancient city. It is only 20 yuan. Many shops have it, while shops near the snowy mountains cost 60 yuan, and those on the mountains cost 80-100 yuan. At the foot of the snowy mountains, you will find that everyone has at least one bottle of oxygen, and everyone is eager to inhale it. When I reached the mountain, I saw everyone sucking in as they walked, and the scene was a bit funny. In order to prevent altitude sickness, it is better to prepare a bottle. Before I even went up the mountain, I heard others say that I had a big reaction, so I was always worried that I would have altitude sickness and stop at the foot of the mountain. However, in fact, I didn't feel any discomfort during the entire visit to the snowy mountains. I really scared myself.

This was the first time I came to such a vast natural scenic spot, and I was very excited. The snowy mountain is not a mountain, but a mountain range. The snow on the mountain does not melt all year round. At present, the altitude that humans can conquer is more than 5,000 meters above sea level. On the first day, you can also see the snowy mountains from afar on the way to Lugu Lake from Lijiang Airport. Now, being able to walk here in person and see the true face of the snowy mountains not only fulfills a Cantonese person's dream of watching snow, but also fulfills a tourist's dream of seeing the beautiful rivers and mountains of the motherland. haha ~

After we arrived at the Snow Mountain Scenic Area, we went to visit the Blue Moon Valley first because we had not bought the ticket for the cableway yet. We needed to take a sightseeing bus from the basement floor to the vicinity of the scenic spot. You can walk or take a battery bike to visit Blue Moon Valley. Because it takes several hours to walk, we choose to take a battery bike because we are short on time. After getting off the sightseeing bus, buy a ticket for the battery car nearby. There are several drop-off points in Blue Moon Valley. You can get off and tour. After the tour, you can take a battery car to the next point with your ticket. The water in the Blue Moon Valley is clear and blue and green, and behind it is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It is a photo resort, where many people take wedding photos. Our time was so tight that we rushed to the next point after taking photos in a hurry. It took less than an hour before and after visiting Blue Moon Valley.

A tourist took a photo in the style of a veteran cadre and now I have found a photo. I really can't take a single one. The time is too short

Before twelve noon, we finally got on the sightseeing bus to the cableway station. The starting point of the cableway is on the mountain, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful while sitting in the sightseeing bus. After the heavy snow, the woods are covered with snow, and snow is also hanging on the branches, just like the plot in a movie (Cantonese people who have never seen snow look at everything feel fresh). After arriving at the cableway station, we settled our lunch first. There are also food for sale here, but it is relatively expensive. We brought our own self-heating lunches and snacks. You can also have lunch at the foot of the mountain and then take a sightseeing bus up the snowy mountains.

The driver said that the altitude difference was quite large when the cableway first went up, so he had to absorb oxygen at any time. Sitting in the cableway and seeing the snowy mountains, it is really beautiful. I am so happy and excited. It is the first time in my life to climb the snowy mountains! After sitting on the cableway for about ten to twenty minutes, I forgot what altitude I reached. After getting down, I had to continue climbing the stairs. Climbing the stairs is the most difficult, because the altitude is too high and the air is thin, so you can breathe for breath after walking, so everyone takes oxygen while walking, otherwise you will really be unable to breathe. But the scenery is also very beautiful. Looking back, you can see the mountains and small, looking up, the weather is clear and cloudless, and looking forward, the white snow is shining under the sun, and you feel that the whole world is white. Previously, when I saw the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a distance, I was shrouded in dark clouds. I didn't expect that when I got closer this time, the weather would be so good! In addition, the ultraviolet rays on the snowy mountains are very strong, so be sure to apply enough sun protection and wear sunglasses and hats! Our clothes were well prepared, and we also had a down jacket for the group, but we didn't actually feel cold. We even felt hot climbing the stairs.

Those who are not used to the plateau environment are advised not to play on the snowy mountains for too long, for fear of altitude reaction. This is what the driver told me. When we came down, we ran into Benin. Today's luck is so good!

Around five o'clock, we reluctantly ended the trip to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and set off for the Ancient City of Lijiang. The happy day is over again ~

Day 6: Walking around the ancient city-Lijiang Airport-Guangzhou

On the last day of the journey, because I had to fly back to Guangzhou in the afternoon, I wandered around the ancient city and didn't go far.

The ancient city of Lijiang, also known as Dayan Ancient Town, read the guide that the best time to shoot in the ancient city is morning, so I got up early this morning and went out with my camera. Otherwise, there were really few people in the ancient city in the morning, which was more attractive than the bustling people at noon and at night. There are map signs or arrows everywhere in the ancient city, but there are too many streets and alleys, and it is inevitable that you will get lost. I didn't visit any of the courtyards, temples, etc. recommended on the map, and I didn't visit the more famous Mufu. I was rather interested in the religious/folk customs/characters/costumes and other ethnic cultures in the ancient city. The ancient city of Lijiang is a place where the Naxi ethnic minority lives. The Naxi costumes, hieroglyphs, and Dongba paper workshop blablabla all record the Naxi's glorious history and culture for thousands of years. Dongba script is currently the only living hieroglyphs in the world. There are many guide boards or New Year couplets on the streets and alleys, all written in hieroglyphs.

The signboard in the ancient city also said that the ancient city has regular parades or other activities every day. We had never encountered any of them. We had lunch (like thousands of commercial districts, the food in the ancient city was not very delicious) and bought some handwritten letters and set off for Guangzhou.

There is an airport bus from the Lantian Hotel in downtown Lijiang. It costs a few yuan to get from Gucheng to the Lantian Hotel, but the bus leaves every half hour. When we arrived, we just left and had to take a taxi to the airport. It costs about 90 yuan and the journey is about 40 minutes.

summary

1. The 2019 trip to Lijiang has ended successfully! The average cost per person for 6 days and 5 nights is more than 4000 yuan. In fact, you can save a little. It's okay to be happy.

2. I have visited too many ancient cities in recent years, and I have no feeling for the ancient city of Lijiang. When you come, please quietly experience the national culture here!

3. The most surprising thing is the natural scenery of Lugu Lake and Yulong Snow Mountain. In one word, beautiful ~

4. This is the first time I write travel notes in my life. It may not be perfect. I will revise it later. Haha
