First post a picture of Lugu Lake. Town Building? (? jQuery17105505672237016503_1602493581437?ω??? ?)? Because it was my first time to go to Dali and Lijiang, and it was also my first time to write travel notes, I really wanted to write the experience and summary of the trip as detailed as possible, so it might be a bit wordy. I hope I can give some help to my friends who have not been there yet and who are planning to go.
I will write down all the itinerary, expenses, accommodation, food and drink, transportation, as well as various information and personal suggestions on participating in tours and ticket purchases.
Time: Eight days off during the 2020 National Day Mid-Autumn Festival + one day off (10.1-10.9)
Origin: Nanjing, return destination: Beijing
Number of people: I am alone
Total cost: 6000 yuan (excluding shopping)
!!! Notes: Bring a high-power sun protection and sun hat, always have umbrellas (you can also choose a sun protection umbrella), summer clothes + one or two spring and autumn jackets, flat sports shoes are the first choice (try not to wear high heels and slippers), it is best to bring your own battery pack (There are many in the scenic area, but the rental fee varies, the expensive one costs 6 yuan/hour), and you must bring your ID card when you go out!!!
Day 1 (10.1): Arrive from Nanjing to Lijiang at 20:55, take the airport bus + online ride-hailing to the inn
The second day (10.2): Ancient City of Lijiang + Mufu + Lijiang Eternal Love + Shuhe Ancient Town
Day 3 (10.3): Jade Dragon Snow + Blue Moon Valley
Day 4 (10.4): Lugu Lake
Day 5 (10.5): Lugu Lake + Take a bus to Dali
Day 6 (10.6): Cangshan + Butterfly Spring + Chongsheng Temple Three Pagoda Scenic Area
Day 7 (10.7): Erhai Lake (Nanzhao Style Island + Sea Cruises)
Day 8 (10.8): Erhai Lake (Xizhou + Shuanglang)
Day 9 (10.9): Return journey
DAY1: The first day was basically on the road. It was almost eleven o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the inn. The inn was booked in advance and we chose the inn outside the ancient city.
I booked online in advance and the room rate was 202 yuan/day (usually almost two-thirds of the price). I stayed here for a few days in the ancient city, a few hundred meters away. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals and a washing machine where you can wash clothes. The advantages are that the boss and his wife are very enthusiastic and the service is very considerate. The disadvantage is that the room is so-so hygienic, and the location of the inn is a bit high, which makes it difficult to walk with heavy luggage. When I came, the boss brought it up. When I left early, I quietly took it down by myself. I was so tired that I was half dead.
Suggestion: Try to choose an inn that is a few hundred meters away from the ancient city. In fact, every inn is similar. You cannot ask for a hotel with a three-star or above (especially sanitation and facilities). The scenic area of the ancient city of Lijiang is relatively large, and the roads are all uneven masonry. It is really tiring and embarrassing to shuttle back and forth in the inn with a suitcase.
!!! Key points: Don't rush to book an inn you look after online. You can call the store and ask for the price. Generally, the price at the store is cheaper than online!!
DAY2: Lijiang Ancient City + Mufu + Lijiang Eternal Love + Shuhe Ancient Town
The ancient city of Lijiang is relatively large and does not require any tickets. However, during the epidemic period, you need to scan the code and make reservations. However, there is no limit to the number of people. You can usually enter after scanning the door. You need to bring your ID cardFor verification, you can use it for a day after scanning it once, and then you can directly brush your face at the gate. The wide and narrow alleys in the ancient city extend in all directions. If you really want to visit them all, you may not be able to see them for a day or two. I am used to getting up early, so I finished packing and went out for breakfast at eight o'clock and started to stroll into the ancient city. Generally, shops in the ancient city will only open after ten o'clock, so there were basically no people when I went, which was very suitable for taking photos.
Before starting shopping, you can check the overall situation on the map app on your mobile phone. Some key places will be marked on it, and it is convenient to follow the map, otherwise it will be easy to wander back and forth in a small area. The ancient city gives people the feeling that it is full of flowers, like a simple flower city. But after a long time, I feel like everything is the same, so I only spent almost half a day shopping.
The ticket to Mufu seems to be 25, and there are free guides inside. You can earn it in about an hour, which is helpful for understanding local culture.
I can't tell the difference between the ancient city of Lijiang and the ancient town of Shuhe, so I put them all together, including Mufu.
First post two photos of Mufu ↓
The following are the Ancient City of Lijiang and the Ancient Town of Shuhe ↓

I booked tickets for the Qiangu Qing performance at 4 p.m. on Ctrip in advance. After lunch, I took a short walk and took a taxi to the Qiangu Qing Scenic Area to watch the performance.
Seats on site cannot be selected by choice. Tickets are issued in the order of ticket collection, so those who want to be closer should try to pick up their tickets early. Although it is a scenic spot, in fact, it mainly focuses on performances inside the theater. There are some small decorations outside the venue suitable for taking photos.
Recommendation index: full stars! Make sure to see it, it's shocking.
!!! Key points:There are buses that can directly go to Lijiang Ancient City and Shuhe Ancient Town in Qianguqing Scenic Area. They are free of charge based on your ticket, so don't take a taxi alone!
Shuhe Ancient Town requires tickets: 15 yuan is unlimited, no reservation is required in advance, you can scan the code at the door, and there is no limit to the number of people.
Personally, if you live in the Ancient City of Lijiang, there is no need to visit Shuhe Ancient Town in particular. The two places are not close to each other and it takes more than 20 to take a taxi. The overall situation is very similar. The area of the scenic area is much smaller than that of the ancient city, but there are fewer people in Shuhe, so taking photos will be more suitable. There is a bonfire party in the square at night, and beautiful ladies and sisters in local costumes will dance around the bonfire. It is quite lively.
DAY3: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain + Blue Moon Valley (participating in the delegation)
Tickets need to be booked at least two or three days in advance, you can choose to book it yourself on the app, or you can choose to ask the boss to help you book it at the hotel front desk. The price is not much different. The package contains the same contents (round-trip bus + down jacket rental fee + small bottle of oxygen + lunch + round-trip cableway + Blue Moon Valley). You need to get up early. Generally, the car will pick it up around 6:30 - 7:00 in the morning (7-seater minivan)
!!! Key points: Snow mountains do not have snow all year round. They usually only have snow between November and March. Snow mountains without snow have only bare stones!!Before the official departure, they will be taken by the team leader (driver) to the place where they rent down jackets, and oxygen will also be collected here. The oxygen in the general package is a free trial pack, but it is enough! Enough to use!! Enough!!!Don't listen to the staff saying that there is no oxygen at high altitudes, and you are trying to buy all kinds of oxygen at different prices of 60 to 80. Personal advice is that in addition to the elderly who are traveling with you (to be honest, I really don't recommend going if you are not in good health, there is no need to risk your life to go out to play), you can buy more formal clothes with ordinary capacity. It's best to buy them in advance. It's only 20 to buy them outside. If the rest of the general population has a high altitude, they will react before getting on the cable car (it's just a slight depression). Don't insist on going up at this time. Those who don't react will not have a big reaction when they go up. It's just enough to take a few puffs when climbing the mountain. Even if it's a trial kit, it's not just a few puffs. It's very good. If you are really afraid, buy another formal dress to wear. It's important to save your life.
If you are tired during the mountain climbing, you can consider buying a chicken chop or something (there is also food and drink on the mountain), because the lunch in the set meal is difficult to eat... Don't have too high expectations。
Lanyue Lake looks pretty overall, but it's not big. The lake water is blue, a bit like the color of seawater in Sanya or Phuket, with white sand on the edge. But you can't get into the water, you can only look on the trestle. The cars in the scenic area will stop in two places halfway through the way and are suitable for taking photos. Don't worry. You have the ticket at hand. There are many cars here and you can sit on them at will.
My package actually included a performance of "Impression of Lijiang" directed by Zhang Yimou, but I didn't watch it due to time constraints. There are many people who say that it is not as good as Lijiang, so my expectations are not high (I have no opinions...) However, other people in the car went to see it and said it was not bad. Anyway, there are mixed reviews. This depends on personal time.
DAY4-5: Lugu Lake (participating group) must go! It's great to take photos on sunny days!
!!! Key points: It takes two days to go to Lugu Lake and you need to stay nearby for one night, so try to arrange it at the end of your trip to Lijiang. This way, you can take the bus directly to other cities or take the train back after the next day. The route to Lugu Lake is around the lake, which is 200 kilometers from Lijiang, so I spent half a day on the road every day for two days. However, I will come back faster than when I go, because when I go, I will pass by several observation platforms and stop for a short time. So one day is not enough at all, so don't play too fast!!
It's not that old drivers don't try to drive themselves. There are too many detours and too urgent. There are still many big cars on the road. It's really dangerous. Safety comes first!!
Many people have different opinions on whether to join a tour group to Lugu Lake, but personally, this is my first time playing here and I don't know much about all aspects. Instead of spending my time planning and finding the way, I'd rather have people participating in the tour group. It saves a lot of trouble. If there are many people, I feel that it is okay to charter a car.
I booked it online, and it was almost 400 yuan plus the 50 Guowei fee (excluding accommodation, including the round-trip fare, two-day lunch and all tickets). I still have to get up early and usually leave around 7:30. If two people in the group can choose the inn in the package, it is best for one person to book a separate room. Because the package generally defaults to two people in one room, it is not cost-effective if one person wants to make up for the other person's accommodation price difference. I chose an inn within the range of free pick-up and drop-off for the team, right next to the bonfire party. It is 300 yuan/night. Because it is during the National Day period, the price is relatively moderate. In the off-season, it is almost less than half the price. The accommodation experience is good and I recommend it!
You must experience the pig trough boat. It is purely manual rowing and will not get seasick. It feels particularly good to slowly walk on the lake.
Go to the bonfire party early, otherwise there will be no place to stand ↓

At night, I took the tourist line directly outside the ancient city of Lijiang and arrived directly at the ancient city of Dali (south gate). The journey time was 3 hours.
!!! Key points: You can book bus tickets in advance on Ctrip. The price is 50 per person online, and the price is 75 per person directly on the bus. There are three boarding places in Lijiang. There are parking spots at the south and north gates. I forgot the other one. I can see it when buying tickets. The boarding place must be determined. In addition, the parking point for the bus to Dali is at the south gate. Before booking an inn in Dali, you must take good care of the location. So I booked an inn near the north gate. I didn't suffer any losses in Lijiang, but I felt it vividly in Dali... Carrying my luggage on the brick road, I walked through the entire ancient city, and I was half tired.
However, the stay experience was good,Once again: If you are looking forward to hotels online, call in advance and ask about the price, it will really be a lot worse!!The first day was 210 yuan/night on Ctrip. The second and third days may have something to do with the lack of people. The boss calculated 130 yuan/night for me. If it is off-season, it is basically less than 100, which is generally recommended.
!!! Key points: If you don't follow a group tour to Chongsheng Temple Scenic Area, you must find a guide. It's really important! There are many fastidious and taboos! You are not allowed to take photos after entering the main entrance. Places where you can take photos, such as the three towers, only the towers should be photographed, not taking photos. The commentator said that the three towers are all relics, which is equivalent to tombs. People should not take photos together. (Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't mind.)
DAY6: Cangshan + Butterfly Spring + Chongsheng Temple Three Pagoda Scenic Area (Participating Group)
I also followed a group tour in Dali for the first two days. The price was very cheap. The total price was only 204 (including the price difference for the innkeeper). After all, if I wanted to play, the ticket was enough for this money, but it was very expensive and not cost-effective. I was worried that I would never return if I carpool. If you join the group, you will have a special tour guide, usually local people, who will make various introductions along the way. Lunch should not be too demanding. It is not bad or dirty. It is just ordinary stir-fried food.
!!! Key points:To participate in the group, you must listen to the tour guide throughout the entire journey and cannot play by yourself. Therefore, each attraction has a time limit, but I think it will be tiring if it takes too long, and the time given is actually enough. In addition, we will not go to places without tickets for the whole journey, but we will go to Nanzhao customs, but we will not stop in small ancient towns such as Shuanglang for free.。
In addition, if you really want to enjoy the Erhai Lake, you really need at least two days. If you are not in a hurry, you can really go to every town around the sea. You can drive yourself, or you can rent a scooter to circle the sea yourself. You can rent it from the ancient city and in every small town.
First attach a full map of the Erhai Lake (reference around the sea):
Cangshan Geopark ↓
Butterfly Spring ↓
!!! Key points: In the picture below, the two fountains in the center of the lake spray water every once in a while. They are quite beautiful. It seems like it takes about five minutes, so you can wait and take actual photos ↓

DAY7: Erhai Lake (Nanzhao Style Island + Sea Cruises)
The next morning, without any surprises, I was taken by the tour guide to buy jade and silverware. Because I didn't understand or like it, I didn't give any opinions and wouldn't be scolded if I didn't buy it. But if I really bought it, I wouldn't like it because it was cheap or something like that. Remember that no matter how cheap it is, it will cost money. This epidemic tells us that money is more important than everything else (*/ω\*).
There will be a cruise ship in the afternoon, so I would suggest you go!! But protect yourself from sun protection!!! If you don't join the tour, you can buy your own cruise ticket. The whole journey takes about three hours. It's really comfortable to be blown by the sea breeze. The landing point of the cruise ship is Caicun Wharf, which is five or six kilometers away from the ancient city.
DAY8: Erhai Lake (Xizhou + Shuanglang)
On the last day, I went to Xizhou and Shuanglang
!!! Key points: There is no need to take a taxi or carpool, there is a special tourist route at the South Gate.Very small buses, each bus will be equipped with a guide. There are only two stops in the whole journey, halfway through Xizhou and ending at Shuanglang. The full fare is 30 and the ticket to Xizhou is 15. The bus runs every hour, and the return bus also runs every hour. If you want to go down from Shuanglang, there are those scooters in Shuanglang. I didn't ask about the price, but I didn't go because I was in a hurry. These two places would take me almost a day.Shuanglang is very worth visiting, but Xizhou is average, small and has nothing particularly meaningful. The only gain is to experience the Bai people's houses and buildings.
Xizhou ↓
Double Corridor ↓
Go directly to Kunming by train at night, because the return flight on the 9th is in Kunming (yes, of course it's because it's cheap ω)
I feel like I have to talk about eating and drinking when I arrive here, because I basically walk back and forth on the road, so I only eat serious meals at night. Breakfast is not very cheap in the scenic area. A bowl of rice noodles costs 15, a drawer of steamed buns 12, and a bowl of soy milk 5 yuan. Just make do...
!!! Focus on the key: The flower cakes must be eaten hot!!! Awesome!!!
The other thing to say is that Yi and Bai people are generally here. At least it is different from the Yunnan food I have eaten in Beijing. I feel that Yunnan food with Dai flavors is more common in other places. So if you eat differently in places like Yunhai Yao or Huohuoyun, don't have too high expectations. I just think there are very few delicious things...
Below are some I have eaten, which only represents my personal opinion. If I go, I'd better try it. After all, this is the only way to say that it tastes bad in the future!
Xiao Xiao BB: Writing travel notes is really tiring, but I am very happy to have completed something I haven't done before. I don't know if anyone will read it, but it's super long, and I don't think anyone will finish reading it. hhhh (embarrassment)
I look forward to being able to really calm down and enjoy the comfortable time here next time without being limited by time (#^.^#)
