I wrote this guide purely by hand. Many of the suggestions in the guide are based on my many years of travel experience. I hope you can read it carefully.
For all friends coming to Lijiang, the first thing they care about should be what the weather is like in Lijiang? What clothes should I bring when I go?
Let me answer them one by one:
Lijiang, Yunnan is located in the transition area between the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The ancient city of Lijiang is about 2400 meters above sea level. Normal people usually do not experience altitude reaction in the ancient city of Lijiang. Lijiang has abundant sunshine all year round, strong ultraviolet rays, dry winter, strong wind, cool summer, rainy, and large temperature difference between morning and night in a single day
Spring climate (March to May): The temperature is about 6℃-20℃, mainly sunny.
Dressing: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., mainly long clothes and trousers, and from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning, add a coat or thin sweater
Summer climate (June-August): The temperature is about 15℃-26℃, it is rainy, and it is cooler in the morning and evening. During the day, it is hotter outdoors and cooler indoors.
Dressing: T-shirt with trousers or skirt from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thin coat from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next morning.
July and August are the rainy season, and it often rains. When it rains, the temperature drops by 5-10 ° C. It is recommended to prepare rain gear, coats or waterproof jackets when going out. If it doesn't rain, the ultraviolet rays are strong, so it is recommended to wear sunscreen and sunglasses when going out (except for those who want to experience a tan feeling). Ultraviolet light in Lijiang is very "toxic" in summer. If you are exposed to it outdoors for more than 2 hours in the afternoon, if there is no sun protection measures. The delicate skin had no obvious reaction at first, began to turn red and peeling the next day, and began to turn black on the third day.
Autumn climate (September to November): The temperature is about 10℃-23 ℃, with rainy days, sunny days and cloudy days accounting for one-third each.
Dressing: A long coat or T-shirt with trousers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a coat or thin sweater from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. When going out to see the sky, bring rain gear or waterproof jacket if you build many dark clouds.
Winter climate (December to February): The temperature is about 0℃-15℃, the temperature is low, the temperature difference between morning and night is large, and the air is dry. In the vast majority of cases it is sunny.
Dressing: From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., mainly long clothes, trousers, sweater and coat, and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. the next day, add down jackets or change into thick coats.
Looking at the 12-month average temperature in Lijiang, you may have an idea:
January:6.7 degrees
February:7.8 degrees
March:11 degrees
April:13.6 degrees
May:16.5 degrees
June:18.2 degrees
July:17.8 degrees
August:17.2 degrees
September:16.6 degrees
October:12.5 degrees
November:9 degrees
December:7 degrees
Remember: The above is the average temperature. In winter, it is likely to be minus 3 degrees to 7 degrees today and 10 degrees to 20 degrees tomorrow. Amitabha, no wonder. So when you come to Lijiang, coat is very important. Wear it as you like inside.
Mufu: The royal residence of the Mu family, a Tusi of the Naxi nationality, before the change of land in the Qing Dynasty in 1723, can be called a small Forbidden City. Xu Xiake once sighed: "The beauty of the palace is similar to that of a king." This shows the style of ancient Mufu. The current Mufu was rebuilt after three years of hard work after the 1996 earthquake, with a huge loan from the World Bank. "Mufu Fengyun" was filmed here, which will be a new reason to come to Lijiang. Walk east from Sifang Street and Qiyi Street in the ancient city for about 200 meters and meet the gate archway on the right. Enter the gate and go straight for 100 meters to Mufu. Admission is 60 yuan.
Black Dragon Pool Park: Take photos there on sunny days. The reflection of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is beautiful and a must-visit place for photography enthusiasts. The water there is so sweet that you can drink directly. No tickets are charged. From the entrance of the ancient city, the large waterwheel runs against the river and takes a 10-minute walk.
The Great Yulong Scenic Area dominated by the Yulong Snow Mountain
Yulong Snow Mountain is a sacred mountain in the eyes of the Naxi people and various ethnic groups in Lijiang. Although the main peak is only 5596 meters above sea level, no one has reached the summit so far. The Great Yulong Scenic Area is a large scenic area dominated by the Yulong Snow Mountain. The main tourist spots include the Great Cableway, Yauruping, Yunshanping, Lanyue Valley, Ganhaizi, Dongba Valley, Yushuizhai, Dongba Pantheon Garden, Impression Lijiang, etc. You can choose some tours as needed and last for one day.
The large cableway has the highest altitude and can reach the embrace of snow-capped mountains. It can be in zero-distance contact with the snow on the mountain and the glaciers with the lowest latitude. It is suitable for friends who live in the south and have no chance to watch snow. Mauringping (Middle Cableway) is second at sea level. From here, you can view the 13 peaks of Yulong Snow Mountain. It is also a good place to appreciate the sunrise and mountain flowers and weeds. It is suitable for friends who like photography. Yunshanping (small cableway) has the lowest altitude. Looking at the side of the snow-capped mountains and the virgin forest, the legendary Yulong Third Kingdom, the sacred shrine of Naxi youth martyrdom, is here. Suitable for friends who are afraid of altitude sickness.
Lugu Lake is the mother lake of the Mosuo people of the matriarchal clan, and is also known as the Pearl of the Plateau. When the weather is clear, it is as beautiful as a blue sapphire inlaid in the green mountains. When you first see it, you will really be amazed by her beauty.
When you go to Lugu Lake, you can go to Shuishui Village or Ligg Village. The grandma's house is the oldest in Ligg and is said to have a history of more than 200 years. You can bring a small gift of one to twenty yuan to visit the grandma's house, try the landlord's own brewed wine, listen to the walking marriage culture of the Mosuo people, and appreciate the dancing posture of the first beauty of Mosuo.
Tickets for Lugu Lake are 100 yuan. Lugu Lake is 217 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient City.
This is a travel route for travelers and is not recommended for tourists with average physical strength or the elderly.
Yubeng Village is the legendary most beautiful village in the world. It is located at the foot of Wuguan Peak on the Meili Snow Mountain. It has beautiful scenery and simple folk customs. It is a veritable paradise. It's worth a visit if you don't want to work hard, but the accommodation conditions there are average. Currently, only one or two houses have a private bathroom, and the rest are all public bathrooms and public toilets. The mobile signal is good, but the base station is solar powered, the weather is bad and there is no mobile signal at night.
This is a very famous food shop in Shuhe Ancient Town, Lijiang. It serves Yunnan specialties, which taste particularly good and is very popular. It is the restaurant frequented by Lijiang celebrities. Liu Dehua, Sun Nan, Li Yapeng, Chen Zhipeng, Zhang Kaili and many other famous people have visited it, because the food is particularly excellent, the price is fair, and it is very popular among locals and tourists. The service is also first-class and excellent. The service of the handsome guy is amazing and there are many flowers at the door. There is still running water flowing through, which feels so good! A must-eat gourmet restaurant in Lijiang!
