The three major ancient towns of Lijiang: Dayan Ancient Town (Ancient Town of Lijiang), Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Ancient Town, and Lijiang Ancient Town. Needless to say, they are highly commercialized, noisy and complex. However, Shuhe Ancient Town and Baisha Ancient Town are the opposite, with beautiful environment, quiet and relaxed. Compared with the three, the latter two have more original features of ancient cities
If the most charming thing about Lijiang Ancient City is night, the most beautiful thing about Shuhe Ancient Town is evening. "Under the sunset, I welcome fragrance. Whose girl is it? I walked on the small bridge, and you sat on the stone slab..." I couldn't help but want to sing this song about the girl by the bridge. At sunset, whether it is a stone road or an alley, whether it is a floating flower or a Naxi family, whether it is a bustling town or a quiet countryside next to it, it all exudes a golden light. It is a pearl under the tall Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I like it here because it is peaceful and peaceful but gilded.
The smell of fireworks in Shuhe Ancient Town is what I want to pursue. There are many delicious food in Shuhe Ancient Town, many snacks on the street, and various fruits. Occasionally, I can see an old lady selling vegetables, who is very kind.
I accidentally visited a restaurant this time and was really surprised. First of all, I passed by the door of the restaurant and was attracted by this environment. But in the end, what conquered us was the delicious food. You can try it in Shuhe!
Lijiang, there can be such a quiet ancient town. Nowadays, the first word people associate when talking about Lijiang is "the capital of love encounters." I don't know when, Lijiang has been associated with romantic encounters, but is Lijiang really like this?
Baisha Ancient Town is not very famous, and many people who come to Lijiang do not know about this place. So it's not a place where many tour groups go. This place also seems more peaceful. In fact, it is not very far from Dayan Ancient Town, only 10 kilometers away, and there are buses that can be reached directly in the city. Transportation is still very convenient.
In fact, this place has a long history. It is the birthplace of the Mu's Tusi family, bordering the Yulong Snow Mountain in the north, Longquan in the south, and Zhishan in the west. Baisha is the ancient capital of the Naxi people and was once the center of Lijiang's politics, economy, commerce and culture. As the birthplace of the Mu family, the Mu family has accumulated experience in planning towns in Baisha. As early as the Tang Dynasty, when King Nanzhao granted Yulong Snow Mountain the "Northern Mountain", Mu's ancestors (then King Lijiang) began to build Baisha Street and Beiyue Temple here. Baisha is the ancient capital of the Naxi people. It was once the political, economic, commercial and cultural center of Lijiang. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, until the early Ming Dynasty in 1383, the Mu family moved to Dayan Town, where Mufu is now located.
When I came here, I found that there were many small shops with unique characteristics and atmosphere. However, compared with the bustling people of Dayan Ancient Town, there were many fewer people on the streets here. Moreover, you can see many local people selling vegetables, etc. Walking here, you will unknowingly enter the lives of the local people. Walking on the streets of the ancient town, looking at the mottled tiles and the earth walls that have been washed many times, I feel that it is warmer here than the brand new commercial street.
Baisha murals are a very famous attraction here and the only item charged. Admission is 30 yuan. The "Baisha Murals" were a product of the great opening up of Naxi society in the Ming Dynasty. Its painting lasted for more than 300 years from the early Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty. The late Ming and early Qing Dynasties were the period of prosperity and heyday of Lijiang murals, which has a history of 500 years.
The Ming Dynasty murals of the existing Baisha Glass Hall, Taibao Ji Palace and Dading Pavilion are extremely precious cultural relics. The murals in the Taibao Palace are the largest among Lijiang murals. They were painted during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. There are 12 paintings in total and 167 characters. The content is religious, but what is special is that in the same mural, there are not only Buddhist and Taoist Buddha statues, but also Lamaist Buddha statues. This kind of painting style that combines various sects is very rare.
