Yunnan has been a dream since I was a child. Are the blue sky, white clouds, stars that feel like you can touch at ease, the leisurely horses and cattle that can be seen everywhere, and the atmosphere of living slowly, all in Yunnan? This time, I finally embarked on a journey to find answers. Some people travel to find themselves, some people travel to find another self, some people travel to temporarily forget themselves, but when you are really under the blue sky and white clouds, You will find that this moment is happiness.
This was my longest trip, which lasted for 15 days. During the journey, I had the chance to make many friends, Xiao Ba from Hefei, Xiao Yu from Huzhou and her two best friends, a young boy from Suzhou and his netizens Watermelon from Wuhan, Xiaoying from Northeast China, and a pair of cousins, sister and brother who I don't know where they are... In addition to the beautiful scenery, traveling is about getting to know our friends who are also on the road. Maybe in this life, we just see this side. We have come from five lakes and four seas just to see one side, chat for a while, laugh together, and then go our separate ways. Things are going. If we are destined to see each other again and recall the anecdotes on the road together, will we feel like traveling through?
The journey has begun.
Food:
Heping Village Snack Street: I took a bus to find it and asked many people before I found it. The so-called snack street is actually a few street stalls selling barbecue and rice noodles. I have no appetite, so I only ate a bowl of roasted dried bean curd that can be seen anywhere. The locals use it to add fermented bean curd. The taste is difficult to say. Try it yourself. Then we settled the dinner that day at a Yunnan restaurant on the street whose name I forgot.
Guandu Ancient Town → Miaozhan Temple Jingang Tower → Zhuangyuan Street → Shaolin Temple → Wetland Park → Dianchi Lake → Nanping Pedestrian Street → Kunming Railway Station → Dali Railway Station
Guandu Ancient Town is a surprise. Many people come to Yunnan and focus on Dali and Lijiang. Kunming is only a transit station, so they have not been able to get around Kunming well. The local characteristics that Guandu Ancient Town brings to us are Dali, which is something that those commercial ancient towns in Lijiang cannot compare. So if you come, it is recommended to come to Guandu. Take the subway from the city to Erji Road and get off and transfer to Bus No. 139. It takes a few minutes to get there. It is very convenient. After Guandu, you can continue to take Bus No. 139 to visit the Wetland Park and Dianchi Lake.
Food:
Guandu Ancient Town: There is a specialty snack bar at the entrance. It is authentic and cheap. A bowl of noodles costs only 5 yuan. Guandu Baba is the best I have eaten during my trip to Kunming. It is 1.5 yuan/piece. It is super big. It has many flavors. I personally prefer the red bean flavor. One can fill my stomach. It is really irresistible. The locals buy them at home in dozens of dozens. There is a snack street in the ancient town called Zhuangyuan Street. After walking around, it seems that all snack streets have the same food
Jianxin Garden: I heard that since tourists went to Qiaoxiang Garden, local people have gone to Jianxin Garden. Facts have proved that these two places are also tourists, and there is no difference.
Kunming went berserk for two days. On the first day in Dali, I got a rest. I had a good sleep and wandered around the ancient city. Although it was my first time in Dali, I felt very comfortable and had no discomfort.
Fruit: In the next few days in Dali, I will buy fruits every night to eat. The unique local sweet horns and Dali blueberries grafted with grapes and blueberries will taste better when fried into juice. Ginseng fruit, snakeskin fruit, annola, green mango,,, etc. There are many fruits, fresh and cheap. The weather in Yunnan is dry, so it is a must to eat some fruits every day.
Schedule:
Xizhou Ancient Town → Butterfly Spring → Taoyuan Wharf → Zhoucheng → Xizhou Ancient Town → Shuanglang → Looking at Nanzhao Scenic Area → Dali Ancient City
Xizhou Ancient Town can be carpool from Dali Ancient Town for 15 yuan/person. Usually, the car will pull you under an archway called Xizhou Ancient Town. If you enter from there, you will need to charge a ticket of 60 yuan/person. There are guides inside to explain the culture of the local Bai people. It is really unnecessary. Friends can walk straight down to your right side facing the archway of Xizhou Ancient Town. For about 5 minutes, there will be a local market on your left. It is a very narrow alley with many people. Walking in for about 5 minutes, you will feel like another village with dark willows and bright flowers.
The first thing I see is the Xizhou Crispy Baba that you have to try. Buy a Baba and get an electric car to start your journey to Xizhou. If you want to rent an electric car, whether it is in Dali or Lijiang, you need to press your ID card. Don't worry about this. It's very safe. The owner who rents an electric car will give you a map telling you which direction to drive so that you can browse better. I followed the map given by the boss and went to Huidiquan, Taoyuan Wharf, Zhoucheng, Butterfly Spring heard that there were no springs or butterflies, so I just looked around at the door.
Driving all the way along the edge of Erhai Lake feels so comfortable. Many friends only visit Dali Ancient City and Shuanglang when they come to Dali, and don't include Xizhou Ancient Town on their itinerary. This is wrong. Dali and Shuanglang have both been commercialized. Only Xizhou is still an original Bai ancient town. It is quiet and mysterious, you have to come.
On the way to Taoyuan Wharf, I also met some school students barbecuing by the Erhai Lake, and some elderly people worshiping the sea god by the Erhai Lake. On the route back to Dali by car, I saw a rainbow. The whole car was excited. The rainbow spanned two mountains. It was so spectacular. I can't tell how long it's been since I've seen a rainbow.
Food:
Xizhou Ancient Town: Xizhou cracked crispy cake has salty, sweet and original flavors. I suggest that everyone eat salty cakes, very fragrant, with a layer of meat, 8 yuan each, and you can last the day. I also tasted the sweet and original ones, and it was a little tired. Maybe my mouth had been raised by eating Guandu Baba before.
Schedule:
Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple → Longniche Wharf → Around the periphery of Dali Ancient City
Today, I rented an electric car and circled the ancient city of Dali. I stopped by the entrance of the third tower to take a look. The ticket cost 110 yuan, so I didn't enter. Longkan Wharf is very quiet and there are not many people. The people living here are purely on vacation.
Food:
Looking back at the chicken cold rice noodles: I had it twice in the ancient city of Dali. A bowl of rice noodles was served with local soda for less than 10 yuan, and I was already very satisfied.
Roasted milk fan: I've always heard that it's not delicious, but I still have to try it when I come. Facts have proved that the eyes of the masses are sharp.
Shaolai Kuanzi: Compared to roasted milk fans, it is very good.
I spent the two days wandering around the ancient city without any destination, just slowly enjoying the slow life of Dali.
Food:
Large intestine packs small intestine: In the ancient city, it is very close to looking back. There are many specialty sausages. They are delicious, but the price is not cheap.
Snack City in the Ancient City: Stone flowers, strange in appearance, cost 20 yuan a bowl, but actually tastes no flavor. If you want to eat stinky tofu, go to Changsha, Hunan. It is authentic there. There is also an unknown grilled fish for 15 yuan/piece. It has no bones and tastes good.
Mang City 320 Dai flavor hand-pilaf: Group purchase for 99 yuan, enough for my portion of 6 people. Can you imagine how big it is?
Dali to Lijiang
Schedule:
Dayan Ancient City → Xiangshan Market
I took a minibus from Dali to Lijiang early this morning. The price was 75 yuan/person. You can ask the boss to book it for help. It took about 3 hours to arrive in Lijiang and checked into the residence introduced by the Xiao Bamei man I met in Dali. The routes for my friends who come to Yunnan are basically Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La. Therefore, after experiencing the commercial atmosphere of Dali, when you come to Lijiang, you will feel no different and there is nothing to visit. In fact, you will still have many surprises when you stroll slowly. Don't deny it when you come. How sad it will be.
On the way from Dali to Lijiang, and Lijiang to Shangri-La, there are scenery. Don't fall asleep in the car. Choose a seat by the window. Surprises can happen at any time. Otherwise, old hikers say that the most beautiful scenery is on the road.
There are always many people in the ancient city who ask you if you want to go horseback riding or go here and there, but I chose to stay in the ancient city and slowly taste Lijiang. I used my ability to walk through streets and alleys, and basically walked Lijiang. I reached the highest point of Lijiang and looked at the Yulong Snow Mountain from afar.
Food:
Xiangshan Market: Praised ribs, 38 yuan a small portion, very delicious, add water poplar flowers at the end of cooking, very delicious.
Jinkai Commercial Plaza: The legendary Black Mountain Sheep Street, I chose Black Goat
Lijiang to Shuhe Ancient Town
Schedule:
Shuhe Ancient Town → Tea Horse Ancient Road Museum
Shuhe River is only half an hour's drive from Lijiang and is also an ancient town that will be forgotten. Traveling throughout Yunnan, it seems to be crossing one ancient town after another. In comparison, my favorite is Shuhe River. There is no commercialization of Dali, Yunnan, nor the tranquility of Baisha Guandu Xizhou, but it has her own taste of petty bourgeoisie. At this station, the night in Shuhe allowed me to see stars all over the sky. I thought it would be more spectacular in Shangri-La. It turns out that the stars in Shuhe were the most and brightest I saw in Yunnan. The night in Shuhe was not deserted or noisy, and everything was just right. This was also the reason why I found a coffee shop for an afternoon without getting tired of it. The Tea Horse Ancient Road Museum is near the Shuhe River. I passed by but didn't enter.
This is the coffee hall we enjoyed in Shuhe Ancient Town. After sitting for an afternoon, we slowly enjoyed life. We weren't tired of it at all. I liked it so much. This is the life I want to pursue!
This is how to enjoy slow life in Shuhe River. The environment in the store is very good and the service is enthusiastic. The things inside are not expensive and the environment is very quiet. I like it so much. I recommend everyone to enjoy it here!
This restaurant recommended by Shuhe deserves its reputation. Many big stars come to Lijiang to taste Yunnan's specialty cuisine at this restaurant in Shuhe Ancient Town. It is very popular and has several reputation. It is not to be missed!
The environment of this store is very good. Next to a stream, the door is filled with many flowers. This combination is very comfortable. The various decorations in the store are very good. I am very satisfied with these environments and the service is also enthusiastic. The service from the young guys is very good, and the food they make is excellent, the food is sufficient, and the price is affordable. Lijiang cuisine is a place I spare no effort to recommend and cannot be missed!
Shangri-La
Schedule:
Pudacuo National Park → Dukezong Ancient City
Pudacuo can ask the accommodation you stay in to help book. The price includes pick-up and tickets is 280 yuan per person, which is similar to the price you go there, but it is a lot easier. So I suggest asking for help to book. Before you go, you must buy some dry food and bring oxygen. There is a cafeteria in Pudacuo, but you don't have time to eat, so you need to bring food. You walk about 10 kilometers in Pudacuo. So it's necessary to bring some high-calorie food, and chocolate is great. The highest altitude inside is 4000, and oxygen is indispensable. If you buy it at the entrance of Pudacuo, it will cost 68 yuan a small bottle.
Food:
Pass-by: The beef sashimi eaten in the ancient city of Dukezong melts immediately in the mouth.
supplementary
About making colorful braids: Dali 10 yuan 4 articles. Lijiang has 8 articles for 10 yuan, and Dukezong has 4 articles for 10 yuan.
About Baba: No. 1: Guandu Baba, No. 2: Xizhou Po Crispy Baba, and No. 3: Lijiang Baba. To be honest, you don't have to try Lijiang Baba. Friends, you understand.
About transportation: Carpooling is very common in tourist areas. You can ask the owner of your residence to help book a carpool. It is not as expensive as looking for it yourself outside, so carpooling is a very convenient way. You can also ask the boss to help book a ticket or something. If you are in Shangri-La. Going back to Kunming, it is recommended to go to Dali or Lijiang first, and then take a train to Kunming. Due to local traffic control, between 1:00-5 in the morning: You can't drive at 00, which means that if you take a bus directly from Shangri-La to Kunming, you will spend 4 hours on the bus without walking. Moreover, the road to Shangri-La is really thrilling, so I really don't recommend taking a car at night.
