LZ grew up in Shanghai since he was a child and is definitely no stranger to Nanjing. The keywords in my mind for this city are four words:tough and rough。This is true whether it is the overall style of the city, dialect, or diet. But I don't know when it started, Nanjing has gradually become an Internet celebrity city that follows the beautiful Jiangnan route. A large number of Internet celebrity attractions attract people to check in, and Internet celebrity food also makes diners queue up crazily... These are far away from my memories. With curiosity and doubts, I once again embarked on a journey to Nanjing. Although the arrangement time is a bit short, because most traditional attractions and delicacies do not need to be experienced again, the time is still enough.
Traveling to Beijing Station can save accommodation fees on the one hand and time on the other. Arrive at 7 a.m., and the subway will go directly to the food street to eat without nonsense!
[Opening-Eat]
The first thing I did when I arrived in Nanjing was to rush to eat, so today's travel starts from eating. Although LZ and her husband belong to healthy eaters every day, this time they are abandoning traditional food and only choosing the principle of not eating before, so as to try our best to eat as much as we can. The order of narration is written according to how delicious it is in my mind.
top1: Master Zuo Plum Blossom Cake
I have tasted Master Zuo Plum Blossom Cake after coming to Nanjing many years ago on the recommendation of my classmates. This is the only food I think about in Nanjing. Friday afternoon no! Platoon! Team! Du leisurely bought two of the most classic bean paste fillings and enjoyed them while walking. It's still a familiar taste, and no one can replace the only favorite taste in my heart, there is no one!
The top is a small glutinous rice round with Q bombs, the middle is a glutinous rice cake, and the bottom is an extremely delicate but not sweet bean paste filling.
Full of bean paste makes people feel extremely happy instantly!
TOP2: Xuanwu Hotel-Wanghu Xuangong Buffet
This was the only dinner we had in Nanjing. The strategies of various online celebrity restaurants have given us no choice. There are mixed reviews and criticisms. I am afraid that it will be a pity for the only meal to step on the thunder!
The experience of urban tourism in recent years is that when you have difficulty choosing, there is basically no error in the buffet at a local five-star hotel. First, because the chefs in five-star hotels are all high-level, the cooking standard must be guaranteed; second, there are many varieties to choose from, so there will be no regrets; third, there is a concentrated local specialty snacks, so there is no need to rush around and queue up. If this restaurant happens to have an unbeatable view, it's like our choice-perfect! Probably because you are not an Internet celebrity, you can still choose the best scenic seat if you book a few hours in advance. The restaurant is divided into fixed landscape positions on the outer ring and rotating seats on the inner ring. We are the outer ring facing Xuanwu Lake.
The first thing you see after sitting down is Xuanwu Lake directly in front of you.
I casually photographed several local dining tables, but it was not comprehensive. In fact, the variety of dishes in the restaurant is so rich that I expected. Whether it is Chinese and Western cold dishes, hot dishes, barbecues, Nanjing specialty snacks or drinks, desserts and fruits, there is everything. The most important thing is that the ingredients are of good quality, well-made, and excellent taste. Each person also gets an extra shark fin pot. The beautiful group purchase price makes you feel that it is worth the money. No wonder so many locals go with their families.
From eating at dawn to the beginning of the lights, it is a beautiful night, with both vision and taste enjoyment.
TOP3--Jiming Soup Dumplings
The famous Jiming Tangbao is a chain snack bar and was our first breakfast after arriving in Nanjing. The two of them ordered a chicken soup bun, a red bean dumplings and a bowl of chicken soup.
Clean shop.
The folds of the soup dumplings are pressed underneath. The taste is similar to that of most soup dumplings and small steaks. There is nothing special about it. The meat quality of the filling with soy sauce is firmer, and it should be lean meat than fat meat.
Disappointing little dumplings, a bowl of thickened brown sugar juice, added with red beans and dumplings, the rich brown sugar flavor completely covers the red beans.
It is called chicken soup, but it is actually a bowl of chicken offal soup. Chicken intestines, chicken blood and chicken gizzards are mixed with some chicken breast meat.
Top4--Li Ji Muslim Museum
Nanjing locals 'love for beef stuffing has led to halal snack bars where outsiders must also check in. The scale is very large and the food is also very rich. Of course, the most popular ones are fried dumplings with beef stuffing, fried buns, and wontons...
Very stylish lobby
In the traditional buffet ticket buying model, the most queue is beef wontons.
A cooked vegetable area popular among residents.
In the famous fried dumplings, the filling of beef and green onions is a little loose.
My husband ordered vegetable and shredded pork noodles.
[Second Chapter--Visiting]
The two main components of urban leisure tourism are eating and shopping. Although the stay was short, it can be said that I still went to many places because I did not waste the time of queuing or crowded people at tourist-intensive attractions.
There are three major destinations for visiting that day: First, wandering around the small streets and alleys. The second is a cableway tour in Zijin Mountain Scenic Area. The third is the day and night of Xuanwu Lake.
Let's start with wandering around the streets, which is mainly done with snacks. Eat while walking, taste the delicious food and feel the urban atmosphere.
A casual photo of the street scene and various roadside snacks and shops.
zijinshan
The weather forecast said there would be heavy rain all day, so I had been hesitant to go climbing, but the sky was always cloudy. In the end, I decisively decided to take a taxi to the entrance of the Zijinshan cableway, hoping to take advantage of the cloudy day to add a tour content so that the already short time could not be wasted.
There is a way to rush time. We bought round-trip cableway tickets. We didn't understand astronomy, so we didn't get off the cableway at the intermediate station to visit the Observatory and went straight to the destination. After getting off the cable car, make a big circle on the mountain, go through all the points marked on the schematic map, and then return from the cableway.
When going up the mountain, the sky was dark and the visibility was very poor.
It will clear up the day after arriving at the top of the mountain. The clouds will open and the fog will disperse. The blue sky will gradually reveal the entire Nanjing city view.
The scenery on the mountain. If you have enough time, you can choose to hike the mountain, which should be another fun.
The highlight is the longest staying attraction-Xuanwu Lake Park.
Because the hotel chose to be opposite Xuanwu Gate, we basically spent the afternoon and evening in the park.
On weekday afternoons, the weather is very sultry. There are not many tourists in the park, and many locals have leisure and entertainment.
The city wall is one of the characteristics of Xuanwu Lake Park. Although we know that the city wall cannot be a relic of the Ming Dynasty, it still exudes a sense of historical vicissitudes and times.
The large area of metasequoia forest, towering into the clouds, is called a living fossil of the plant kingdom.
The entertainment activities of Nanjing people are quite interesting. They like to gather together to play poker, but the specific game is unknown. In short, it is very popular locally.
There is no need for tickets to Xuanwu Lake Park, but if you want to climb the city wall, you have to buy a wall ticket costing 30 yuan. There are very few people who patronize it, such as the two of us. Climbing the city wall is equivalent to booking the market.
Although tickets are a bit expensive, climbing the city wall and walking at the foot of the city wall are completely different feelings. You will have a deeper understanding of the intersection of history and the present, the fusion of ancient and modern.
Sadly, we had not yet fully understood it. The downpour fell from the sky. After only 5 minutes of climbing the wall, we were forced to go down the city wall to take shelter from the rain, and the tickets were cancelled.
Short-term heavy rain cannot relieve the sultry heat in Nanjing, which becomes sultry and humid at night.
We like to run in every tourist city, and we also included the run around Xuanwu Lake in our 16-hour itinerary, because heavy rain is always forecast and we cannot determine the running time. Finally, after an extremely satisfying buffet, he decisively decided to run to Xuanwu Lake at night.
Xuanwu Lake Park is crowded at night, and many citizens walk or run around the lake. It feels so wonderful to join. I have described this feeling many times in travel notes, and I sincerely hope that it can infect everyone to experience it for yourself.
Close proximity to Nanjing Station.
Gorgeous lights decorate the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. A distance of about ten kilometers in a circle is a very unique experience.
[Feeling]
Except for sleeping time, I spent a full 16 hours in Nanjing, eating, playing, exercising, joining in the fun to taste Internet celebrities, and immersive experiences of local people's daily lives and chatting about their feelings.
First, Nanjing is a relatively good city that integrates history and modernity. Large-area greening, historical relics and well-known scenic spots are interspersed with, making it refreshing to be in it.
Second, Nanjing is a very down-to-earth city. Most of the streets still retain the original buildings. The streets are not wide. The shops along the street sell street snacks or sell specialty clothing and accessories, which is more interesting than large-scale shopping malls and business districts.
Third, Nanjing is a city that is good at promoting and marketing itself. In the past, we only knew about Xuanwu Lake and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing, but now we focus on building Jiming Temple during the cherry blossom season, the food street on the banks of the Qinhuai River, and the Laomen East under the Ming City Wall. The natural landscape and humanistic feelings are organically combined with an intuitive picture sense, allowing tourists to more three-dimensional and richer cognition and feel the beauty and comfort. At the same time, since the first Nanjing food stall, efforts have been made to include traditional snacks from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. In addition to local specialties such as salted duck, salted duck, roast duck, and duck blood vermicelli soup, glutinous rice products such as cake balls have been included in Nanjing's city menu one by one. Therefore, most of the restaurants and Internet celebrity snacks in Nanjing today are not local, but have only been carried forward in Nanjing. This should also be the reason why Nanjing has suddenly emerged in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai postal service areas and become an Internet celebrity city.
