The high spring of autumn

Autumn is here. Although the temperature in Jiangsu is still like midsummer recently, autumn is indeed here!
The enthusiasm of the "Autumn Tiger" was high, but my yearning for autumn was not affected at all.
Because in Jiangsu, late September and early October are the season when hairy crabs are on the market.
When it comes to hairy crabs, friends from other provinces may only have heard of the most famous lake.
In fact, in Jiangsu, there are many lakes that produce hairy crabs. After all, they are a land of fish and rice.
Gaochun Gucheng Lake is one of them and has a high reputation and good reputation in the province.

In addition to hairy crabs, Gaochun also has many interesting rural attractions and new Internet celebrity scenic spots.
So, I just received the news that hairy crabs were on the market,
My friends and I drove here from Changzhou, 160 kilometers away.
Gaochun in autumn is really more exciting than the first cup of milk tea in autumn.
Gaochun in autumn is more worth brushing the screen than the first cup of milk tea in autumn!

itinerary

Day1, Changzhou-Gaochun (self-driving), stay at Gucheng Bay New Century Resort Hotel;
Day2: Gaochun Old Street, Gucheng Lake Slow City, Lakeside Crab Banquet, Gucheng Bay Scenic Area, stay at Gucheng Bay New Century Resort Hotel;
Day3: Yaxi Slow City, return journey.

gaochun Old Street

Arrived in Gaochun the night before and slept well in order to go to Gaochun Old Street next to the hotel early in the morning.
Nanjing Gaochun Old Street was built in the Song Dynasty. It has a coin shaped arc in the east-west direction and is 630 meters long. Although the old street has not been preserved for a long time, it is still very lively, especially since the first wave of hairy crabs has just ushered in the listing boom. The old street is already bustling with people early in the morning, and the voices of buyers and sellers bargaining are endless...

The old street is open to tourists for free, including multiple venues along the way, where you can learn about Gaochun's local folk customs, intangible cultural heritage projects, red tourism, etc. We went to an intangible cultural heritage museum and a Guandi Temple. In the intangible cultural heritage museum, I learned what Gaochun Four Treasures were; I also planted a folk dance called Longyin Che; what made me even more interesting was that Gaochun's dialect was very interesting. It was once used as a "secret language" to convey intelligence during the war. The little devil couldn't decipher it.

I like to watch "Three Kingdoms", and of course I am no stranger to Guan Erye. The Guandi Temple in Gaochun Old Street is full of incense. Guan Erye is also known as the "God of Wealth of Martial Arts". You may as well come in and pay your respects when you pass by.

Old streets are "commercial" old streets, but they cannot be called "commercial". Because I found that many businesses are neighbors nearby, and they are not like those in well-known ancient towns selling gorgon fruit cakes, stinky tofu, and souvenirs from Yiwu Small Commodity Market. Many shops in Gaochun Old Street have their own "originality". For example, in a sachet shop, I bought two packs of traditional Chinese medicine sachet with different effects, and I also saw an old lady running a cloth shoe shop.

Gaochun Old Street has the reputation of "the No. 1 Ancient Street in Jinling", and I am quite interested in some things precipitated from history. On the road on the old street, there is a row of bricks that are actually pink and are called rouge bricks. There is also a one-person alley here. I went in and took a photo with the light shining. I imagine that with my slim figure, three people walking side by side should be able to get along, right? Haha…

Gucheng Lake Water Mancheng

This is not the first time we have come to Gucheng Lake Slow City. After ending Gaochun Old Street, we drove here. In fact, this time I came mainly for the crab feast, so let's focus on this part in the later chapters! The place to eat is at the lakeside restaurant next to the scenic area. Since we were all here, there was still a while before lunchtime, so we went to the Shuiman City Scenic Area for a walk.

The place is really a good place, but the temperature that day was really a little high, and there were fewer flowers from the early summer last time. The animals in the zoo must also be hiding to avoid ultraviolet rays at this time, right? So we took the battery sightseeing bus and stopped at several points along the way. Even such a slow-water city has many remarkable places.

There is a very eye-catching pink sandy beach in Shuiman City, and the light blue lake water behind it is quite romantic. There is a big Internet celebrity rabbit by the lake. Looking at this shape, I suddenly thought of "rabbit riding on an eagle". Aerial photography looks more appropriate. If I were an "eagle" and saw such an aggressive rabbit, I would have to run away quickly...

It will definitely take some time to have a good trip to Shuiman City. Because I was rushing to eat the crab banquet, I could only take a quick look at the scenery. I think when the weather is cooler, we can really arrange more time if everyone comes to play. The environment here is really worth it! What's more, there are big tigers waiting in the zoo.

Guchengwan

This autumn, Nanjing has another place to check in with national customs! Gucheng Bay, which had not yet opened when we arrived in early summer, has now officially opened. Gucheng Bay is next to Gucheng Bay New Century Resort Hotel. Tickets for Gucheng Bay Scenic Area were given when checking in this time. Tourists staying in the store can enter the scenic spot by brushing their faces, which is very convenient.

I came late in the afternoon, so I headed straight to the White Deer Forest in the scenic area, where I could get in close contact with various cute pets, including groundhogs, deer, alpacas, red pandas, etc. These little guys are really cute, especially the woodchuck chewing on carrots. I just want to chew with it! Thinking that I would definitely bring my son to play next time, I took him to the zoo once when he was 6 months old. At that time, he didn't seem to have any knowledge or feelings about animals. In the blink of an eye, he was already over a year old. Sometimes he would babble curiously when he saw dogs on the road. I believe he would be even happier and excited when he came here. After staying in the community for a long time every day, I always have to come out and experience the wonders of the world.

This is a white deer themed parent-child resort, and naturally there will be deer! The deer here are very brave. When they see tourists coming in with food, they will rush around and grab it for a little test. They can really manage enough things like carrots, cabbage, leaves and so on! However, the deer is a bit big, including alpacas, which is not suitable for children to feed alone. Parents must accompany them. Moreover, we must also appeal to everyone not to try to catch animals, slap and other uncivilized phenomena. Harmony is what it should be like.

Be sure to wait until evening in Gucheng Bay. When the lights on Yizishui Street here are dimly lit, you can feel the artistic conception of "Jiangnan" more. At this time, Gucheng Bay became more and more lively. The music and light fountains in Chunqiu Pavilion attracted villagers from all over the country. The fountains and lights follow the rhythm of the music, sometimes cheerful and sometimes slow, making it a feast of sight and hearing. The best state at this time is to empty yourself and integrate into it... Dream back to the prosperity of ancient Jiangnan.

In the end, each of us received a river lantern, which flowed along the water. The light was like stars in the sky, which was extremely shocking. Look, there is a young lady wearing Hanfu playing river lanterns. The picture is so beautiful. I couldn't care about getting consent, so I couldn't wait to press the shutter. If she can see it, then give these photos to her!

Yaxi Mancheng

On the way back to Changzhou on the last day, you can go to Yaxi Mancheng. Gaochun is an international slow city. I have also popularized science before: there are many rules and regulations for becoming an "international slow city". It is probably that there is more space for people to walk and more green space for people to relax. Gaochun is China's first "International Slow City" awarded by the World Slow City Alliance and the location of the China headquarters of the International Slow City Alliance. If other parts of China want to be evaluated as a Mancheng, they will need to be awarded through Gaochun Mancheng.

Yaxi Slow City is an agricultural comprehensive tourism and sightseeing attraction that integrates hilly ecological resources and integrates sightseeing, leisure, entertainment and vacation, and ecological agriculture. The area here is larger than Shuizhun City. When entering the scenic spot, you can choose to take a battery sightseeing bus. If there are few people, you can also choose to rent an electric car, so that you can make stops and stops more casual.

Here we played canopy rafting and canopy walking, both of which were somewhat exciting small events. It is also a very interesting experience to walk to the top of the tree while playing.

In Yaxi Slow City, we also found large areas of sunflowers that can be photographed and checked in. In particular, the sprinklers at irregular times will also spray water to water the flowers. After wetting some air and flowers, taking photos will be more artistic.

[Food] Crab Banquet

Don't forget that you are here to eat crabs in Gaochun this time! When you come to Gaochun in the golden autumn, you can order crabs in almost every restaurant. The most classic method for hairy crabs is steaming, which perfectly explains that high-end ingredients often only require the simplest cooking. Of course, people at the lake also ordered steamed hairy crabs. Watching the muscular crabs tied with straw ropes and steamed until golden yellow, and lifting the covers and filling them with meat fat, it was really tempting!

After all, they were eating a crab feast. In addition to this most classic way to eat, people by the lake also made many creative dishes. What impressed me more was the Nur 'er Hong Drunken Crab. The wine taste of this Drunken Crab is just right and has endless aftertaste. The cool taste can instantly open up the taste buds. Even if I am a teetotaler, I will be impressed by its delicacy. The key question is never drive if you eat too much!

There is also a dish of boiling crabs with river shrimp, which is also my favorite. Because I usually like to eat some heavy-flavored dishes with thick oil and red sauce, this dish is very consistent with my style. The river shrimp and river crab are served in one pot, which is very delicious. If some more screws could be added this season, would it be great?

Other dishes include delicious crab roe tofu soup, fried crab in the typhoon shelter, crab in pumpkin powder skin, stewed egg with crab roe, etc. Because of the blessing of "crabs", every dish looks extremely delicious. Thousands of flavors, it's better for everyone to eat it yourself before judging it! Anyway, I ate a lot of crab shells and couldn't extricate myself! During the crab season, you can find a restaurant that eats crabs everywhere in Gaochun, but I believe it is rare to see people on the lake that make crabs so exquisite and complete, right?

[Accommodation] Gucheng Bay New Century Resort Hotel

When I came to Gaochun this time, I chose to stay at Gucheng Bay New Century Resort Hotel. This is really a high-end hotel that I will understand only after sleeping in. First of all, its geographical location is very good. It is adjacent to Gucheng Bay Scenic Area and Gaochun Old Street. There is a free parking lot and a business district nearby, making it convenient to go anywhere. The room's configuration is also in place, including Dyson hair dryers, RE fragrance room toiletries, Kohler bathroom and other high-luxury items.

What I am most satisfied with is the overall comfortable and slow-moving feeling of the hotel. I live in a room with a lake view on the first floor and have my own small courtyard near the lake. When I wake up in the morning, I bring a cup of tea or coffee, sit in the courtyard, and there will be black swans swimming over to find food. This feels really comfortable. New Century Resort Gucheng Bay is also like a microcosm of Gaochun! This place is not suitable for people traveling in a hurry. When you come, you should enjoy it. What you want is the unique "slow life" of the local area...
