A few years ago, walking along the city wall, there was a clear lake-Qianhu at the corner of the city wall. The Qianhu in front of you has the distant view of the rolling mountain range-Zhongshan Mountain. The undulating mountains, undulating green belts, and sparkling lake surfaces in the picture have a quiet beauty that combines dynamic and static. Several crystal clear shell-like buildings in the green trees between the lake and Zhongshan aroused my curiosity. After checking the map, I realized that it was the flower greenhouse in Zhongshan Botanical Garden. At this time, I learned that the Zhongshan Botanical Garden had been expanded. This distinctive building on the north side of Qianhu was the southern garden of the Botanical Garden that had been under construction since 1999 and was opened to the public on the National Day in 2007. The Botanical Garden was a place where we often played when our children were young. The children's kindergarten classmates and mothers work in the Botanical Garden, so we often take the children to play in the Botanical Garden, now called the North Garden of the Botanical Garden. There was no Nanyuan before. As the children grew up, we stopped going to the botanical garden. If it weren't for the distance from the city wall, you wouldn't have known that the Botanical Garden has a South Garden. I want to go to Nanyuan sometime to have a look at the new ones. Time will slip by without realizing it. I have had this idea for a few years.

During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, I was afraid of being blocked when I went out and stayed at home. Leisure time, neither too fast nor too slow, take a nap at noon, get up and see that the weather is fine, and don't you feel sorry for the good sunshine if you don't go out! It's a last-minute idea to go to the Botanical Garden! Get on the electric bike and set out. When you go out and turn onto Linggu Temple Road, you will see traffic and people. It's not just traffic jams, it's also the sidewalk. The flow of people on the slow lane makes riding difficult. Go all the way through Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Area, Linggu Temple Road, Post Office West Road, Boai Road, Lingyuan Road, Meihuagu Road, and Botanical Garden Road. Looking at the cars with their butts pressed to their cheeks, the people who are anxiously waiting on the road, and the tourists who can't wait to walk, I feel so proud riding an electric bike. This congestion rhythm makes it difficult for even a bicycle to ride. The advantages of electric vehicles are clearly evident. The north side of Botanical Garden Road is the North Park of the Botanical Garden, and the south side is the South Park. You need to buy tickets to enter here. It was past three o'clock in the afternoon when I arrived at the door. Spring in Nanjing is so attractive. Long queues at the entrance and ticket offices lined up on the road, and they couldn't avoid the crowd to take photos of the gate, so they rushed to enter the park without taking photos. Medical staff garden cards are still free to enter the park in April. On the left side of the entrance gate is the grass garden.

The combination of fir trees and February orchids is very classic. February orchid is a common wild flower. There are well-known February orchid growth spots in many places in Nanjing, but more are in casual corners, beside houses, under hedges, forests, hills, slopes, and lakes. Wherever there is a gap, you will see blue-purple flowers in the green.

Because of the shelter of fir trees, a large area of February orchids presents different postures and beautiful scenery due to different light and shadow.

Opposite the grass garden is a large sea of flowers. Red, yellow, white, purple... Tulips of all colors dazzle people. The Botanical Garden in April is a sea of tulips. Some time ago, I heard a friend talk about the tulips in the Botanical Garden. Because there are too many flowers and plants in Nanjing, I didn't take it seriously and come and have a look immediately. I came here today and accidentally saw the season's main flower. I was still very surprised.

In fact, tulips are in full bloom in March, which is basically coming to an end. The petals have been wrapped up, but they still have a great visual impact because of their vast momentum. Looking up, large tracts of tulip flowers decorate the Botanical Garden with colorful, gorgeous and vibrant scenes.

The diverse colors are as brilliant as a fiery picture. Red, passionate, yellow, noble and rich, white, pure and elegant, and red and yellow oranges, rising like flames.

A large sea of flowers came into view. Each variety of tulips is divided into pieces, bright and colorful. Different colors are like waves in the sea, and each wave forms the ocean of flowers. Under the sunshine, all kinds of tulip flowers are fragrant, tender and charming, so beautiful that they are intoxicating and unforgettable.

The flower stems are straight and slender. The petals grow upward and look so strong and energetic.

The southern garden of the Botanical Garden is built along one side of the Qianhu. There is a crescent embankment in the lake water that divides the lake water into two large blocks. One is the Qianhu next to the city wall, which has a large area. One piece is the crescent moon pool at our feet.

It makes use of the vast water surface of Qianhu Lake and the surrounding good natural environment to create a beautiful landscape centered on aquatic plants. Various vegetation, aquatic and terrestrial plants are rich and diverse among the sparkling waves, attracting us to stroll here, enjoy, and indulge.

Qianhu and Yueyi Lake are connected and separated by each other, with various winding shorelines. The shallow water areas along the lake are planted with reed, wild grass, calamus, and shallot. Natural aquatic plants are well distributed and densely distributed, as if they are natural and full of wild interest.

There are part of the swamps on the north side of Yueyi, where there are wetland plants such as red fir, willow, carex, and reed, forming a wetland plant community and a watery and green landscape effect.

Cedar trees, pine and cypress, are more tree species that I can't name. The scattered high and low, layered plant kingdoms are both ornamental and scientific.

Through the leaves, there are the swaying crescent pool, the winding crescent embankment, the sparkling front lake in the distance, and Nanjing's ancient tall and powerful Ming City Wall. The Zhongshan Botanical Garden, located in one of mountains, water, city and forest, is worth our visit.

At the northern end of Yueya embankment there is a small boat full of flowers and plants.

In the north of Yueyi, the scenery from this angle is lively and beautiful. The streamlined lines of the crescent embankment stretch all the way, and the streamlined lines of the city wall accompany the lake, forming a round and full picture.

Looking north from the crescent embankment, the leaf-like glass houses are the Tropical Botanical Hall of the Botanical Garden. But in this kind of picture, the building looks like a big ship sailing through the waves in the sea.

Follow the embankment to Qianhu Lake, where you can see the special steel frame Ming City Wall more clearly. This is because in the early 1990s, this section of the city wall of Qianhu partially collapsed due to lake water erosion and heavy rain, leaving a gap sixty to seventy meters long. In August 2014, a light steel structure pedestrian overpass was built at this gap, and the east line of the city wall, which had been "broken" for more than 20 years, was completed. Therefore, this became an innovative move to protect the Ming City Wall.

This small bridge leads to those glass houses-the Tropical Botanical Museum.

There is a large square in front of the Tropical Botanical Museum. The square is still full of flowers and rich vegetation. Various colors are gathered into one painting.

The tulips here are younger than the sea of flowers when they first entered the door, and their petals are tightly wrapped in the shape of a wine cup. It is like a flower bud, ready to bloom; when you walk in, it is indeed open, and you can also see the stamens tightly wrapped by pollen, giving people a subtle beauty.

The warmth all over the mountains and plains on the hill occupies our vision, and we can't wait to fall into her arms and intoxicate the whole spring.

The square is full of people, many of whom are traveling at home. The Botanical Garden is also a popular science park, so many children play and visit here.

Looking at the building from different angles has different feelings. From this angle, does it look like a stealth machine?

Colorful tulips either live temporarily on a hill, or are spread into a carpet around a tree, or surround the lake in the wind, or interspersed among the vegetation.

After visiting several exhibitions at the Tropical Botanical Palace, I stopped in front of the small square.

Walking along the lakeside towards the crescent embankment, I turned back in a few steps to look at the Tropical Botanical Palace that I had just visited.

The rippling and agility of the lake, and the exquisiteness and clarity brought by the glass material make the light and shadow appearing on the picture flexible and dreamy.

Under the tall fir trees, tulips spread out in front of you. The hot afternoon sun hit the flowers unsparingly, making the already beautiful flowers even more dazzling.

Walking onto the Yueyuan embankment, you will find a small island full of green vegetation on the left side of the Yueyuan embankment.

The small island in the lake is also spring, with flowers and dead branches coexisting, and reeds and green willows reflecting each other.

The lush and majestic Zhongshan Mountain and the rich vegetation scattered high and low in the Botanical Garden constitute a vivid plant kingdom.

The vegetation here is lush, integrating mountains, water, cities and forests. It is beautiful and has beautiful scenery.

The long and narrow crescent embankment is bustling with people. Several beautiful girls were fully equipped and taking photos. They really lived up to their good times and the good scenery of nature.

Walking on the winding and narrow crescent embankment is really a scenery every step, and every step is different! After reading the introduction of the park, I know that trees such as Chinese tallow and ginkgo trees are planted on the crescent embankment winding in Qianhu Lake. They will become colorful in late autumn. The lake is mixed with green, golden, orange and fiery red, reflected in the lake. It is so beautiful that it is like a dream. I will come again in the autumn. This is the magic of Nanjing. The beauty of Nanjing lies in its ability to see. The same scene has its own different beauty all year round.

After walking through the crescent moon embankment, you will find the lawn leisure area. Located in the central area of the grass garden. Here, a large area of relatively complete lawns and scattered trees with beautiful trees form a peaceful and comfortable sparse forest grassland landscape. The lawn is dotted with small gardens such as pavilions and windmills.

Back at 5:30 at the gate, the garden was closed, and there was no queue for people to queue up for me to take a commemorative photo at the gate.

Anyway, the short holiday can be regarded as a trip! And it is a beautiful botanical garden!
