I saw an article on the Internet that introduced the beautiful scenery of Nanjing in autumn, Chaotian Palace was one of the niche attractions. The red wall with the yellow ginkgo in autumn and the beautiful girl immediately attracted me. I was a little ashamed to remember that I had never set foot in Chaotian Palace once. This autumn we start walking. In order to match the overall color of the photo shoot, I specially chose a gorgeous skirt that had been pressed on the bottom of the box for many years. Because Yanli had never had a chance to wear it in ordinary times, she finally got the opportunity after several years. Coupled with a black sweater, from the effect point of view, with red walls and yellow ginkgo, my outfit was very successful. Follow me and see it!
Exit the subway on Shanghai Road and walk straight south along Mochou Road. Walking hundreds of meters, you will see the Bian Gong ruins and Bian Di's tomb on the east side of the road. Bian Wei, when Emperor Ming of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, an official came to write an order. Later, he was killed in a street battle with his two sons during the Pingsu Jun Rebellion and was buried in Yecheng (today's Tiangong).
There is an octagonal pavilion "Bian Jing Ting" with a skylight on the top, and Zhongxiao Spring can be vaguely seen in the well railing.
Walking into the memorial archway of Bian Yu's tomb-Imperial Gifts Quanjie Square
A beautiful colorful garden
There is a "Tombstone of Bian and His Son" pavilion in the garden. In the pavilion, there is a tall and dilapidated stone tablet with blurred handwriting. It was erected in the spring of Jiaowang Jiawu: the tomb of Duke Bian, the son of Jin Dynasty, loyal and filial son.
Here is a brief introduction and panoramic view of Chaotian Palace.
At the corner and inconspicuous, there is a horse stele engraved with the inscription "Civil and military officials, military and civilians, etc. Dismount here." In ancient times, civil and military officials had to get off their horses and walk when they arrived here.
Here is the stone foundation and brick archway on the west side of Chaotian Palace. On the archway are the four words "Tao runs through ancient and modern times" written by Zeng Guofan. You cannot enter here, you must continue to detour.
Take a quick look through the fence of the archway. The archway is symmetrical between east and west. There is also an archway opposite it and a large square in the middle.
Here is a detailed announcement. The first courtyard in Chaotian Palace is open for free.
Wenjin Bridge across the Qinhuai River
The southernmost river at Chaotian Palace is a man-made canal flowing east-west and is now part of the Inner Qinhuai River. On the north side of the river stands a tall light wall.
The beautiful Qinhuai River and the scenery on both sides.
Crossing the small bridge
Arriving at Chaotian Palace Square, the square is very beautiful. The vegetation of various colors makes it full of vitality this season.
The beautiful square is a happy place for citizens. It is endless fun to gather, chat and walk the birds here.
This side of the square can better view the huge shaded wall of Chaotian Palace. Due south of Zhaobi, there are four brick carvings in regular script with the words "Wanren Palace Wall".
Get close to it, beautiful red wall
Bypass the "Wan-Ren Palace Wall" and see the beautiful scenery along the red wall.
Under the red walls and glazed tiles, the bright yellow leaves in the courtyard and the green leaves outside the courtyard complement each other. Who can not love this autumn?
There is a semicircular Panchi on the north side.
Pan Chi, the pool walls and guardrails are built of bluestone, and the clear water inside the pool is clear.
On the northern square of Panchi, there is an archway built on the east and west palace walls.
The three arches have a brick forehead on them and are engraved in the east with the words "Virtue Heaven and Earth".
The Western engraving "Tao runs through ancient and modern times".
On the front is the "Lingxing Gate". The Lingxingmen is the main entrance of the Confucian Temple. It has a four-column and three-room wooden structure archway style building, and the top is covered with yellow-glazed glazed tiles.
Baidu talks about the history of Chaotian Palace: In the Southern Dynasties, it was the location of the Zongming Temple Imperial College. In the Ming Dynasty, it was a place to practice etiquette before the court held a grand ceremony. It was also a place where officials 'children inherited titles and civil and military officials learned to meet the emperor. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1384), Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, issued an edict to give it the name "Chaotian Palace", which means "worship the sky" and "appear before the emperor." The Chaotian Palace built before the Qing Dynasty was destroyed during the war of the Taiping Rebellion. Today's Chaotian Palace ancient building complex was rebuilt on the original site of the early Qing Dynasty between the fifth and ninth years of Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1866 - 1870) after the war. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Chaotian Palace was transformed into Jiangning Prefectural School and Confucian Temple. Chaotian Palace is now the seat of the Nanjing City Museum. In 1956, it was named a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province.
The stone lion in front of the Lingxing Gate seemed much gentler.
There are four pairs of brick carvings on the front and back sides of the west side of the gate. The carvings are exquisite and lifelike, making them a representative work of brick carving art in the Qing Dynasty.
The stone steps on the steps in front of Lingxing are a play place for generations of Nanjing children. One by one, their buttocks slid out of the vicissitudes of this era into a bright ravine.
Behind the Lingxing Gate is the courtyard of the Confucian Temple.
Facing him is a bronze statue of Confucius performing teaching.
There are two rooms in the east and west, and in the east are the Wenshi Zhai and the Si Shen Warehouse. On the west side is the Military Officers 'Zhai and the Animal Slaughter Pavilion.
Now there are other uses on both sides.
A poster exhibition is being held here.
This side is now the tourist service center.
As soon as you enter the north side of the courtyard, you will find the majestic Dacheng Gate. The Dacheng Gate is a mountain top with double eaves. The upper and lower eaves are made of bucket arches. The roof is roofed with glazed tiles. There are three doors on the left, middle and right. What is special here is that there are two small doors at both ends of Dacheng Gate. The middle gate was used by the emperor during the memorial ceremony to Confucius, and the prince and prince walked through the left and right gates. Ordinary officials can only go through the small doors at both ends.
Today's sun is shining brightly, lighting up everything here.

After passing through the Dacheng Gate, you will enter the courtyard of the second entrance. You need to buy a ticket to enter here. Today, I enjoyed the discount of the medical staff garden card and entered for free.
The courtyard is surrounded by corridors, with east and west auxiliary halls,
The building in the middle of the courtyard is the majestic Dacheng Hall. Dacheng Hall is the central building of the Confucian Temple. The spacious terrace in front of the hall is surrounded by stone railings. In the center of the front and rear steps, there are embossed dragon steps.
The main hall has double eaves on the top of the mountain, flying eaves and angled corners, slopes on all sides, one main ridge and four inclined ridges, and the roof is slightly curved, shaped like flying wings. There are huge red wooden pillars on both front and rear corridors of the main hall. Covered with pure yellow glazed tiles.

The most eye-catching thing this season is ginkgo biloba
Today's Dacheng Hall is particularly dazzling and beautiful. The bright yellow glazed tiles shine under the blue sky, and the red pillars shine brightly. In addition, the ancient ginkgo is also the most beautiful at this time of year, and everything is the most eye-catching.
Such a beautiful season and such a beautiful ancient scene are the place where Hanfu enthusiasts take photos.
Under the ancient ginkgo tree, every gesture is full of love.
There are also Western-style wedding photos here
On the east side of Dacheng Hall there is a Ming Dynasty "Rebuilding Chaotian Palace Stele with Orders". The monument is nearly 6 meters high and is divided into three parts: the monument head, the monument body and the monument base. The head of the stele is an embossed cloud dragon, which is finely carved. The body of the stele is decorated with winding dragon patterns on both sides. The stele seat is a turtle lotus seat, with its head held high and its eyes open, and its shape is vivid. The inscription records the location and scale of the Chaotian Palace in the early Ming Dynasty and the beginning and end of its renovation during the Chenghua period.
In the third courtyard behind the Dacheng Hall is the Chongsheng Temple. The architectural style is similar to that of the Dacheng Hall. There are two-story platforms in front of the hall and surrounded by stone railings.

The building complex with a corridor on the west side of Dacheng Hall is the Nanjing City Museum.

The permanent exhibition halls of the Nanjing Museum include the Dragon Coiled Tiger-Nanjing City History, the Jade Hall Excellent Artifacts-Collection Exhibition, the Cloud Dress Hairpin Shadow-Song and Ming Costume Exhibition, etc.
The first thing I saw was the exhibition hall of dragons and tigers. In this exhibition hall, based on the historical development of the city, it is divided into "a place where mountains and rivers are shaped like a livable place","six generations have inherited Jinling","several generations have experienced ups and downs","the unification of mountains and rivers and southern cities", and "The Republic of China" The Five Parts "highlight the special status of Nanjing as one of China's four ancient capitals, focusing on the characteristics of Nanjing's capital during the Six Dynasties, Ming Dynasty, and Republic of China and its contribution to the development of Chinese history.

The Ming Dynasty was the second peak of Nanjing's development. Zhu Yuanzhang established the capital of Nanjing. Nanjing became the capital of China's unified dynasty for the first time. It was the national political, economic and cultural center, and developed in all aspects. A huge group of terracotta soldiers in the Ming Dynasty unearthed at Majiashan, Zhonghua Gate, Nanjing. The pottery figurines with many images, vivid shapes and lifelike images demonstrate the superb pottery craftsmanship of that time.
The "Beginning of the Republic and the New Capital in Modern Times" section introduces the important period of Nanjing's transition from an ancient closed city to an open city in modern times during the late Qing and Republic of China. A map in multiple languages appears in Nanjing.
A number of modern buildings have been built
Supplied by various modern means such as scene restoration, model reproduction, picture creation, and multimedia audio-visual, a picture of the glorious history of Nanjing's ancient capital has been unfolded.
During this period, culture was active. With its own film company and movie theater, people's lives also changed.
Returning to the sunny outdoors, I feel like a dream. It is a good experience to experience the rhythm of Nanjing's historical progress, the style of Nanjing's ancient capital, and the charm of Nanjing culture in ancient buildings.
In addition to the "Dragon Coiling and Tiger Coiling" exhibition hall, the museum's multi-functional exhibition hall also has a temporary exhibition of "Green Jiangnan-Nanjing Metropolitan Area Eight Cities Cultural Relics Joint Exhibition".
There is an exhibition hall of "Jade Hall Excellent Tools" on the third floor of the new exhibition area of Nanjing City Museum. The exhibition hall displays high-quality cultural relics in the collection. The Nanjing Museum uses the ancient buildings of the Confucian Temple as a carrier to showcase the long historical and cultural heritage of the city of the Ten Dynasties. Let us interpret the historical development process of Nanjing's city under the glazed tiles and appreciate the essence of Nanjing's ancient capital culture.
We visited the Confucian Temple in Chaotian Palace, enjoyed a full view of the museum, and there was also a natural scenery waiting for us. Here is a guide map of the back mountain garden area.

The stone lions in front of the door have their own shapes, their expressions are witty and interesting, and they make people feel happy to see them.
Leave, look back, look again. The overall building of the Confucian Temple is built against the mountain, facing north to south, with symmetrical axes and regular layout. Such a beautiful building complex, such a beautiful autumn. Thinking about having been in Nanjing for so many years, I actually set foot in such a beautiful place for the first time. From another perspective, Nanjing is too beautiful and has too many beautiful places to see it. Fortunately, I gradually have time and mood now. I will visit places I haven't yet visited and appreciate it.
