It has been a long time since a bus fan has gone to see cars, let alone accompanying him to watch cars. Maybe he thought he was grown up and could pursue hobbies on his own. Maybe my mood has changed. During this epidemic, I couldn't go anywhere, and I tried to use public transportation as little as possible. When the weather was clear, my children would cycle their own 40 kilometers back and forth to see the car. I think it's pretty good, otherwise I can't consume all my flesh. One day, I suddenly wanted to see where he had been watching cars recently, and thought that if I had time, I would give him a ride! According to the location on the map he gave, we did not overlook the Nanjing East Marshalling Station from the bridge of Yaoxu Road, which we used to visit, but came closer to the outside of the Nanjing East Railway Station Marshalling Station. Because I had to rush back to take a live class with a yoga teacher, I put him down and left in a hurry. But the tracks and the dense traffic of various vehicles here deeply attracted me. I am a person who takes action when there is an idea. The weather was still sunny the next day. I changed the arrangements for the next morning, set off, and went to see the car with my children. They often say that they should support their children's hobbies, so they spend a lot of time chasing cars with their children. In fact, I think I like it deep down. The excitement you feel every time a train chirps, the shock you feel when the train passes by, is something else cannot bring you. Let's get back to the main story about this car shoot!

Chasing location: Outside the guardrail on the south side of Nanjing East Upbound Field

Chasing time: 2020.2.24

Tour method: self-driving or cycling

Leaving Xuanwu Avenue and entering Prince Tower South Road, it is a winding path that is rarely traveled by cars. It is about 3 kilometers long. Stop the car in a relatively spacious place on the road. The entire area is the marshalling yard area of Nanjing East Railway Station. Nanjing East Railway Station is located in Yaohuamen, Qixia District, Nanjing City, formerly known as Yaohuamen Station. It was built in the 34th year of Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1908). It is a road network marshalling station for the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and a special national railway station. It is the largest dual-track electrified railway marshalling hump station, freight station and hub station in East China.

Wangzilou South Road is accompanied by railways all the way.

The railway is surrounded by fences, with sharp and neat barbed wire fences on the fences to prevent idle people from entering. The car can only be seen outside the fence.

Under the blue sky, large orange gantry cranes stand tall, giving off a lot of momentum.

There is a white warehouse and a "T"-shaped platform between the tracks.

Nowadays, the proportion of electric locomotives is growing, and the crisscrossing power grids under the blue sky are playing moving music like a staff staff.

The popular definition of a marshalling station is: a place needs to be lined up before the train leaves. This place is called a marshalling station. Because of this, the marshalling station can also be said to be the heart of the railway network.

Therefore, there are no passengers getting on and off the train at the marshalling station platform.

Only trains enter and exit here, so it is a special station. The truck traffic here is the largest. Every day, trucks from a city depart from here, return here after completing the task, accept new work tasks and then set out.

This is not a real upswing. From right to left: Ningdong Ring Line (The only way for some freight trains from Shanghai to Nanjing East and the only way for freight trains from Nanjing East to Wuhu); Beijing-Shanghai uplink main line (The only way for the Beijing-Shanghai uplink passenger train passing through Nanjing East, the road for the freight train departing from Nanjing East to Wuhu, and the road for the Beijing-Shanghai uplink freight train departing from Nanjing East Uplink Yard); Ningdong Freight Line (one way for the Beijing-Shanghai uplink freight train departing from Nanjing East Uplink Yard, one way for the freight train departing from Nanjing East to Wuhu).

The two roads on the far left connect the upstream yard and the locomotive depot. The heads of upward through freight trains from Shanghai go from one of these two lines to the locomotive depot; the heads of freight trains going to Wuhu and the upward direction to Beijing-Shanghai go from there to the uplink yard; the lines of Nanjing East Depot and maintenance workshop are also connected to these two lines, and the heads of some trains arriving at Nanjing East Arrival Yard also enter these two lines under the Xianxin Road Bridge to enter the warehouse or go to the uplink yard.

Walking forward, you can see several old K cars (transporting ore) and several green leather buses placed in the Nanjing East Marshalling Station. One of them is a CA (dining car). These green leather buses may have been sent back to Pu Factory for maintenance, temporarily stored in the marshalling yard, and then attached until there is a small operation to the forest farm.

The reason why the old K cars exist here may be to prepare for the recent railway overhaul.

There were not many vehicles at this time, so the maintenance vehicle began to carry maintenance personnel to inspect and maintain the line.

Whether it is the maintenance of existing railways or the construction and construction of new railways, the small yellow car family represented by the JZW-4 catenary aerial work vehicle plays an important role in railway traffic maintenance, maintenance and construction. This is the handsome JW-4 catenary operation vehicle, and it is also a special vehicle for electrified railway catenary construction. It is mainly used for the installation, maintenance, daily inspection and maintenance of equipment on the OCS. Its biggest feature is that it is equipped with a high-altitude work bucket in the rear row and has an automatic leveling system.

It has high power, strong traction capacity, and reliable braking performance. The maintenance workers can move up and down freely and manipulate it. It has good running stability and smoothness, and can run 120 kilometers per hour at the fastest time.

China Railway Electrochemical Transportation Management Company is using skylight to inspect the contact network to make every effort to ensure normal railway transportation after the Spring Festival. (Skylight, on railways, refers to the time reserved for construction and maintenance operations without laying train lines or adjusting and reducing train operations in the train diagram.)

I like the color and shape of this train very much. Under the blue sky, in the dense staff, above the steel rails, and in the dense array of steel vehicles, the beautiful yellow is so eye-catching, giving a touch of freshness and gentleness in this powerful occasion.

Take a recent photo.

The depot is very big and there are several rails, so we can't see the traffic on the other side of the train. We can only judge its appearance through the chirping of the train and the black smoke rising into the sky.

The ND5 shunting machine on the upstream field is shunting a pile of boxcars for railway luggage and parcel express transportation.

The shunting machine is at the other end, and the track where the boxcar is located seems to be downhill. The boxcar can be smoothly slipped down the track by using the principle of converting gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy.

The classic ND5 diesel locomotive is gradually entering our horizons.

ND5 diesel locomotive No. 0367 is responsible for shunting here.

The ND5--Neidian-5 trunk passenger and freight dual-use diesel locomotive is an AC-DC electric drive trunk passenger and freight diesel locomotive manufactured by General Electric Company Transportation Systems Commercial Branch of the United States. Our country first imported it in 1984, which shows that the ND5 is also an old hero of the railway. At that time, the national economy developed rapidly and railway transportation seriously lagged behind. The railway department has actively introduced foreign high-power diesel locomotives and advanced technology, and the railway transportation and locomotive industry have given new vitality. There is a prosperous scene on the railway.

Since 1984, ND5 has been equipped with a large number of locomotive depots. Among them, Nanjing East Locomotive Depot has the largest number. At peak times, nearly 200 ND5 locomotives are equipped. They are jointly controlled and operated by Bengbu, Nanjing East and Nanxiang Locomotive Depots, taking on the responsibility of heavy-haul freight trains on the southern section of the Jinpu Railway, the Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, and the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway. So far, some ND5 locomotives have reached their operating limit. Since the popularization of electrified railways, many freight jobs in the ND5 have been replaced by electric locomotives. Now the ND5 is more used as a station shunting, and sometimes it also serves as a passenger traction locomotive.

Despite this, fans 'love for the ND5 is enduring. That row of ND5 continued to emit its roar and billowing smoke, showing its domineering nature. If he encounters the visual impact of the ND5 Fire Spitfire again, it will make him excited. I took the video and shared it with the Iron Chasers, and talked about it for a while.

The ND5 diesel locomotive has a standard man's appearance. The rectangular and atmospheric square face and the tough appearance. Color is also a natural color that conforms to public aesthetics.

It is divided into two models. The Type I ND5 body is emerald green;

The locomotive adopts an outer corridor cover type body structure welded by steel plates and section steel.

The body of the No. 0367 Type II locomotive in the picture is dark green. Compared with the cab of the second batch of locomotives of Type 1, the cab is more spacious, with an enlarged front window lookout glass; a convex type obstacle remover is installed, and both main air cylinders are placed behind the fuel tank.

Take one from all angles to leave a memorial.

Here, a relatively new ND50196 is being shipped out of the warehouse and is ready to drive a single machine to Chuzhou North.

The houses in the station are all very bright in color. Coupled with the colors of the train, the whole picture looks like an oil painting.

This is a type of ND5 that is shunted in the uplink field. The first carriage behind the aircraft is a double-decker car carrier.

The red-and-white Golden Eagle GC-270 rail car is suitable for traction operations and high-speed operation during line construction and maintenance, and can also be used as a transportation vehicle for personnel transportation and on-site inspection.

Maybe there was maintenance work on the upstream side recently, so the car was quietly parked here waiting.

There are several flatbeds hanging between the two trains of Golden Eagle GC-270 railcars.

This is a HXN5 diesel locomotive that goes to the uplink yard for trailer. It is one of the main passenger and freight diesel locomotives on China's railways. This locomotive uses AC transmission, was developed by General Electric of the United States, and was manufactured by CRRC Qishuyan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory through technology transfer. The biggest highlight is that it has low emissions and good energy conservation, and meets the US Tier2 standard. Therefore, it is praised as the new favorite of energy conservation and emission reduction, and is the latest product labeled as a green environmental protection label.

After hanging up the body of this Nei-5 general shunting machine towed from the marshalling yard to the upbound yard, it was ready to depart for the Ningzhou-Wuhan Line.

That is, after Sino-US cooperation in introducing the ND5 diesel locomotive and technical exchanges and cooperation. In 2008, the first "Harmony" diesel locomotive jointly designed and manufactured by EMD Diesel Locomotive Company of the United States and Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company was rolled off the production line in Dalian.

One freight train drives up the field, which seems to be an empty gondola train. The local machine is HXD2B0166.

The HXD2B electric locomotive is a high-power AC drive six-axle trunk freight electric locomotive. It is one of the first three six-axle "harmony" electric locomotive models of China's railways that use a maximum power of 9600 kilowatts AC traction motor. This type of car was jointly developed by China CNR Group Datong Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. and Alstom of France. Its design is based on Alstom's PRIMA6000 locomotive as a prototype. In September 2010, it began to work in the application workshop of Nanjing East Locomotive Depot, undertaking the task of hauling freight trains.

Driving alone is the Dongfeng 8B diesel locomotive. It is a trunk heavy-duty freight locomotive with a high-power AC and DC electric transmission and a 25-ton axle weight.

The tracks on the ground set out their own beautiful curves, and they match each other to form a beautiful one. Use steel threads to outline the charm of beauty. The wires and cables in the sky also play their own music score, and they complement each other to form a beautiful movement, outlining the flavor of strength with soft and beautiful lines.

The train slowly drove in at the end of the tracks. It was always a little fuzzy at first, and then quickly revealed a steel shape.

We have just left for Harmony Nei Wu, who has just gone to the trailer, heading for Wuhu East.

The truck always seemed so leisurely and slowly drove in. Gradually, the details of its body were clearly seen.

With the increasing impact between wheels and rails and the loud sound of the engine, faces appeared abruptly.

The child joked from the side: "The driver knows that you are filming the car and deliberately drives slowly so that you can take a closer look!" Yes, the details are real.

Follow it with your eyes

The freight train is always long and long, with many carriages of different size and functions. From the current shortage of epidemic prevention materials, medicines, and medical supplies, to daily necessities such as vegetables, grains, oils, express parcels, and even raw materials produced by large enterprises such as coal, crude oil, and steel.

Thinking about the material shortage in many places due to the impact of the epidemic, I really hope it can pull more and run faster to meet everyone's needs.

The rear gondola car is covered with tarpaulin. Pay attention to the safety protection device at the rear of the train.

Harmony 2B towed another all-train boxcar from the uplink field.

There is another Harmony Inner Five in the warehouse here.

Take a closer look at Harmony 5.

The Harmony 5 diesel locomotive is an improved design by General Electric Company based on the "Innovation" series of diesel locomotives and the AC6000CW diesel locomotive. The car body adopts a single-driver outdoor corridor frame load-bearing structure.

Harmony 2, Harmony 5, you sing, I'll come on.

The entire train of gondola cars roared past.

It roared, and then left indifferently, a back, a long back.

There are so many cars here. No wonder children like to come here to watch cars. The camera had just sent off one car, and a new train was ushered in during the transition from left to right.

Just as he watched the truck leave his sight, another red passenger car towed by HXD 3D0414 arrived in front of him.

The HXD3D locomotive is an AC drive six-axle trunk passenger electric locomotive. It was developed and produced by China CNR Group Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. and was mass produced in 2013.

The passenger car K360 (Shanghai-Yinchuan) travels at a fast speed. Compared with the speed of a freight car, the word fleeting can be used.

When it started to appear out of my view, I only captured 3 pictures before and after. Passenger buses are just passers-by here, so they come and go in a hurry!

The overall length of Nanjing East Railway Station is more than 8 kilometers. Along the way, you can find a place to stop and see freight trains from all over the world
Arrive at the station, group them, rearrange them according to the destination, and then distribute their hair to all parts of the country. When we first arrived, the maintenance trucks were working. After the maintenance was completed, the marshalling station in operation mode was turned on, and the cars coming and going did not stop. The railway marshalling station is the core of the railway hub, the base for the distribution of traffic flow and the de-assembly of trains, and is known as the "train factory."

After a while, I organized photos and wrote travel notes when I came back. The technical terminology of this travel note was partially completed by car fans. I also spent a Page lollipop as a gift for him. If you are a car fan, if you also like to chase cars, or are just like me, please pay attention to my Weixin Official Accounts-"Follow Train Man."
