Nanjing has always had the saying that "the ox heads in spring and the sunset in autumn". But I often scoff at this sentence. Needless to say, Qixia is famous because of Qixia Temple. Many team activities go to Qixia, so I go to Qixia every five or six years in the past few years. Niushou Mountain should have been passed by when visiting the tomb twenty years ago. It was a mountain. Therefore, I cannot understand the saying that "the ox heads in spring and the sunset in autumn". This year, because medical staff enjoyed the discount of garden cards, a colleague suggested going to Niushou Mountain and immediately set out in a group. Niushou Mountain, we have come with curiosity and doubts. The car was parked in the underground parking lot, and the posture of Spring Ox Head could be seen from the flow of people and traffic flow. The elevator in the underground parking lot goes directly to the ticketing hall, where the verification work is completed with your ID card and garden card at the ticketing window.

The ticketing hall is tall, spacious and fully functional. There are ticket vending machines, automatic goods receiving machines, and automatic teller machines...

Walking out of the ticket hall, there are still many convenient facilities on one side, and there are free masks and self-help machines at the entrance of the convenience store.

The general situation of Niushou Mountain is introduced: Niushou Mountain is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing City. It consists of many large hills such as Niushou Mountain, Zutang Mountain, Jiangjun Mountain, Dongtianmu Mountain, Xitianmu Mountain, Yinlong Mountain, etc. Niushou Mountain is a famous Buddhist mountain in China with profound cultural heritage. It is the opening place and birthplace of Niutou Zen Buddhism. Surrounding the mountain are natural landscapes such as Induction Spring, Hupao Spring, Baigui Pond, Tusha Rock, Manshu Cave, Pizhi Cave, Hanxu Pavilion, Diquan Spring, Yinma Pond, as well as cultural landscapes such as Hongjue Temple, Hongjue Temple Pagoda, Zhenghe Tomb and Anti-Jin Ancient Camp. It is impossible to walk through so much content one by one, so several tourist routes are also planned for Niushou Mountain in the picture.

At the ticket checking entrance. Since the epidemic, only the east gate can enter and exit the scenic spot. Although it rained lightly, it still could not stop people's enthusiasm for watching the spring ox head. Many tour guides holding small flags came with teams to visit. It seems that Chunniushou is a nationally famous tourist attraction.

Inner square at the east entrance

Looking back at the ticket entrance on the square, the building is grand and distinctive.

The recommended tour route map on the side of the square is clearer, and we chose the route for the elite tour to start.

In front of the inner square, there is a blue lake-Tingxin Lake. The lake is filled with fog, like a natural beauty of a fairyland. Colorful fish are playing happily in the clear lake. This beautiful mountain lake scenery has a nice name-Foding Qianyuan.

The clouds and clouds are light on the lake, and the graceful fairy caresses between the mountains and rivers with a misty gauze skirt.

We walked along the north side of Tingxin Lake and walked in the drizzling rain all the way. He did not hold an umbrella and let the drizzle gently caress him. The air is particularly fresh and moist, moistening the heart and lungs. All the smells are presented, the breath of soil, the breath of grass, the fragrance of flowers, the breath of clouds and mist in the lake... I took a deep breath greedily, wanting to keep them.

There is a cute and kind little monk statue three or two steps away in the entire scenic area of Niushou Mountain. Every young monk's facial expression is different. If you look closely, you will have endless aftertaste.

This long pavilion has a nice name-Yumei Xuan.

People working in the lake

The small mountain path paved with blue stones on the north side of the lake can take us up to the small hill. There is a peach garden there, but it is not yet in bloom.

A five-hole bridge on Tingxin Lake is called Jixian Bridge, with beautiful curves.

Jixian Bridge connects the east and west sides of Foding Front Garden.

The bridge head is decorated with a lion picture with cloud patterns to pray for peace and good fortune. The railings of the bridge body are carved with Ruyi cloud patterns, making the bridge body more breathable and beautiful.

Viewed from the angle of the bridgehead, the reeds in early spring have a vicissitudes of beauty.

Climb the bridge to view the scenery

In the distance, the ox's head is as green as Dai, and the lake water is clear under your feet.

The scenery is beautiful and quiet, with distant mountains, distant towers, near lakes, open lawns, bamboo forests, streams, rocks... together constitute a beautiful mountain forest ink painting.

Looking at the stacked peaks from a distance, looking at the lush grass and trees closer, and listening to the gurgling water, the scenery is intoxicating.

A different angle of emptiness. Staring quietly at this scene and suddenly realizing enlightenment, the so-called stopping probably means that we stop, slowly appreciate the scenery in front of us, slowly feel the things around us, and carefully understand life!

We chose to cross Jixian Bridge to the south side of Tingxin Lake.

Walking along the lake, one scene at a time. What you enter with the scene is a mural of ten oxen on a plastic stone rockery, which was created by Zen master Shiyuan Kuoan in the Song Dynasty. "Ode to Ten Cows" uses ten pictures to depict the process of cattle herding.

Moving forward and changing scenery

Looking back at Tingxin Lake in Farong Square.

This large yellow and green lawn square has a spiral concave terrain. The water sink is embedded with stone along the slope shape, and pebbles are added to stir up the water waves, creating gurgling sound. A Chinese tallow tree is dotted in the middle. This square also has a nice name-Xinlian Square. Not far from the square is the solemn architectural complex of Foding Temple. Xinlian Square creates a clean and natural scene in front of the temple.

The circular road on the outermost side of the square leads us to Foding Temple.

In front of the Buddha's roof. The scenery in the park is beautiful and atmospheric, and the small details are meticulous and elegant. Brings me an atmospheric and restrained temperament feeling. I have a habit of writing travel notes. Generally, I will introduce scenic spots during a two-day trip, and I will usually complete the scenery in Nanjing in one travel note in one go. When I was preparing a travel trip to Niushou Mountain, looking at so many photos and so much content, I felt that I had no way to start. So I could only write according to the travel pattern of going out of the city. Therefore, the first chapter of Niushou Mountain will be introduced here today and will not be completed.
