Walking method: self-driving
Walking time: 2021.5
Walking attractions: Jiangsu Garden Expo Park
Address: Northeast near the intersection of Husheng Road and Hufa Road, Jiangning District, Nanjing City
Walking route: Xipingmen in the scenic area--Time Art Valley--French Garden--English Garden
The Expo Park has opened. This is a major event in Jiangsu Province! Recently, they have been screened on CCTV. Many friends rushed to the morning market on May Day. I bought the early bird ticket early in early April. Fortunately, the early bird ticket was upgraded to an annual pass. Because of this unexpected surprise, I wasn't in a hurry. Anyway, there was a year and I could use it whenever I was free and in the mood. Listen to a friend who lives in Tangshan and also holds an annual card introduce the game of the Expo Park. Because the park is too big, it is almost impossible to play it all at once. We live on the east side of the city, so it's a 20-minute drive to the Garden Expo Park. My friend suggested that we can go there multiple times, choose one area at a time, and choose the nearest parking lot according to the area, so that the walking distance will be less. For the first time, I chose Xipingmen Parking Lot, parked the car, and walked to the ticket office.
Along the way, the mountains were undulating and the eyes were full of green.
The mountains and rocks are built on the hillside, and the trees are all small designed scenes.
Tickets are now offered at half-price discounts. A 55-yuan ticket can visit this 354-acre park. What a beautiful thing. And our annual cards even swipe their ID cards directly in, giving us a sense of pride as a master. After checking tickets at Xiping Gate, there is a large square. Three big characters are engraved on the exposed rock wall-Garden Expo Garden, giving a feeling of extraordinary momentum.
The Expo Park is built according to the trend of the mountain, and modern elevators eliminate the need for mountain climbing. On one side, a waterfall and waterscape is created through a drop, and the mountains and rivers are inseparable.
The elevator took us to the top of the mountain, where huge square stones were piled up to protect the mountain and create a landscape. The variety and density of vegetation planted on the mountains on both sides are very exquisite. The green plants close to the stones, the trees in the middle view, and a row of bamboos on a higher level like a barrier. The heights and heights are scattered, and the greenery of different shades are all designed in terms of shape and color.
Looking at the pine tree on the left is like a welcoming pine with open arms to welcome us warmly.
Panoramic guide map and overall introduction of the Expo Park. After looking at the general location of the area, today we plan to visit the southwest corner of the park-Time Art Valley.
Follow the road surrounded by rocks and rocks to the park.
After turning a mountain, the view suddenly opens up, and the valley feels like sitting in a small town
Hotel on the hillside.
There are road signs here that not only tell us directions but also tell us how long it takes to walk. Today we only play Time Art Valley.
A narrow gauge small railway winding forward in the park connects the huge park, which is quite interesting. The Gesang flowers on both sides of the track bloom so romantic, as if they are happy for its rebirth.
These two photos were taken when I visited Hushan Village in October 2018. At that time, it was still a quarry for a cement factory. Small narrow-gauge trains traveled between China Cement Factory and the Kongshan Limestone Mine in Tangshan Hushan Village every day, carrying the heavy responsibility of transporting stone materials.
Once upon a time, with the closure of cement plants, narrow-gauge railways also withdrew from its industrial career. However, the completion of the Garden Expo Park gave the narrow-gauge railway a second life. Because of the Expo Park, this industrial and cultural heritage was also preserved, and the narrow gauge was converted into a special sightseeing line.
After crossing the track, you will reach the Shiguang Art Valley area, where the garden scenery is exquisite everywhere.
Use different colors and shapes to identify different content and locations in the Time Art Valley.
On the big lawn in the valley, an orange work vehicle looked particularly dazzling on the green lawn.
In addition to the lawn, there is also a mirror square created by a water view. The water waves on the surface of the pool stirred up the reflection of the factory building and the chimney. Don't be surprised when you look at these tall factories and chimneys. This was once an abandoned factory building of a Chinese cement factory. Near the chimney in the middle is the place where high-temperature forging is carried out. This abandoned factory building has now become the most eye-catching place in the Expo Park.
Look at the endless Indigo hotel cluster in the mountains across the opposite.
Big red chimneys, towers, steel structure production lines... This was the site of two major white cement factories in the Republic of China. Later, China Cement Factory and Jiangnan Cement Factory were born here. They were once production areas after cement factories opened mountains and quarrying. Time Art Valley is located on the industrial site of this cement factory. The Garden Expo Park has given new life to this factory.
The hydrangea flowers are in full bloom
The lovely bell flowers and the delicate flowers add some tenderness to the tough industrial elements.
This is the exhibition hall at the opening ceremony. The exhibition has now been withdrawn.
There are several groups of such cement silos in Time Art Valley. Silos are unique buildings in cement plants.
Follow the stairs deep into the hinterland of the silo, where there are seats to rest on the inside of the silo.
The silo has stairs leading to another factory building
Look at the exterior facades of the towering silos on the stairs.
interconnected silos
The Garden Expo Park will preserve the original Chinese cement factory building to the greatest extent possible.
The factory, connected by stairs opposite the silo, is now the Coca-Cola brand hall.
Looking back at the silo where I was just in. The trees growing on the silo are very creative.
The main street of Time Art Valley
Enter this factory transformed into the Coca-Cola Brand Pavilion. As soon as you enter the door, there is a service desk on the left hand side where service staff can sell drinks. There are also several vending machines in the factory that provide beverages of our own choice. Buy a cup of coke and see if the taste in the brand store is better?
On the gray industrial theme, red is used as the overall design color, and Coca-Cola cans of different shapes, large and small, are used as the decoration in the museum.
There is a "wall of time" on the wall, which is rich and exquisitely designed to record the history of Coca-Cola from 1886 to the present.
Coca-Cola in the world of ice and snow is full of childlike innocence, fun and a touch of cold coolness.
The Coca-Cola Memorial Hall collects various packaged Coca-Cola and also displays a variety of quite memorable Coca-Cola peripheral products. Seeing this, I thought of one of my golfers. He drinks Coca-Cola every day. He will definitely like such a memorial hall and recommend it to him when he goes back. Maybe he has been here long ago.
It's very retro here, with gramophones, Shanghai qipao girls, neon lights and an old car.
The various scenes created are very suitable for posing
Retro style, funny style... Take photos and take photos as much as you can!
The industrial factory houses such a memorial hall. The red arrows on the cement floor lead us, connecting several interactive photo check-in points in series according to the brand's time. You can have various postures here, and you can also experience the historical years of Coca-Cola. This is to let people understand the brand and it is also a good brand promotion.
Walking out of the memorial hall
Opposite the memorial hall is Meiyijia Supermarket and a Qifen Sweet Dessert Shop.
At this time, a small train is running, so give it one from a distance.
Sculpture in the small square
This cement factory is now the Dark Horse World Comic Museum.
The museum is rich in content and consists of three major areas: Comic Museum, Comic Academy, and Commodity Retail.
The text introduces the original intention of the Comic Museum
The history of comics. Think about it that I don't like comics, but I still like some familiar and interesting comic-inspired movies.
As soon as I entered the door, the tall factory building displayed comic pictures through the form of film at the top of the sky. I looked up and wanted to take a panoramic view, which was somewhat difficult.
The young man at the museum looked at me looking up and struggled to tell me a shooting angle. Sure enough, I took a panoramic view of the scene as soon as I entered the door.
There is actually a huge cement mixer here.
The industrial scene has been added to the multimedia presentation methods such as sound and light, which is eye-catching. The design of the entire Black Horse Comics venue group is based on industrial style, retaining the elements of this cement factory's industrial heritage site, and incorporating the rich IP content and diverse art forms of Black Horse Comics.
The design of the museum basically retains the original architectural style and equipment left behind.
Industrial elements combine the large number of comic IP images and interactive content under Dark Horse Comics.
"The Monster in disguise","The Chronicle","Alien vs. the Predator","Hellboy","Star Wars"... these familiar classics are all works of the Dark Horse. Dark Horse Comics has more than 300 IP licenses, more than 3000 comics, and works closely with more than 2000 writers and cartoonists. Its comics cover a wide range of genres, including science fiction, magic, action and home entertainment.
These familiar works have accompanied generations of comic fans.
Taking the history of comics as the main line, it brings us the most comprehensive introduction and viewing experience. In the golden age of comics, the first comics superhero was born in 1938, Batman was born in the spring of 1939, and Wonder Woman... This is an era of superheroes, and the golden age of comics ended in 1954.
Cement mixers and steel stairs all preserve the original appearance of industrial buildings
Climbing the ding-dong stairs, I came to the space on the second floor
The omnipotent Superman
Here is an introduction to the development of Japanese comics from 1947 to 1977. This lovely and magical Doraemon was once the magical thing I wanted to have.
The Bronze Age of comics was the mid-to-late 1960s
Who is cool?
A wall is full of comics from the 1980s
Comics from the 1990s
In the Silver Age, American comics ushered in the second boom in history, and the main theme was still heroic comics. I like the Wonder Woman adapted into a movie, the super cool and sexy woman.
Modern period comics characters
Back to the first floor--the period of national manga
Here, the comic book reworks are introduced in words and videos. I am a movie lover, but I am more familiar with movies adapted from comics.
The entire walls, columns, large spaces, and small corners here are covered by various works. Through the past 40 years of historical accumulation and accumulation of Dark Horse Comics, coupled with the latest immersive interactive technology and multimedia experience, the Dark Horse World Comics Museum has brought us a large number of well-known comic images and stories of famous cartoonists in this model.
In addition to the introduction of comics, there is also a black horse, alien and trendy retail store. Alixing Chaowan is a comics peripheral integrated store integrating three giants: Marvel, DC, and Black Horse. There are many trendy items here, and such a place must be very popular among comic book fans.
There are various Polaroid cameras on this pink "car". The colors and shapes of the cameras are cute, which makes the heart of the girl I buried begin to sprout.
After a search on Baidu, this museum claims to be the first in the world. I don't know if it's the first in the world, but it's the first comic museum I've seen. I have friends who are fans of Japanese comics, and I can understand that such a museum will be deeply attracted by comic books fans. Especially such a global unique comic trend cultural center that combines the elements of the local century-old cement factory site.
Walking out of the Black Horse Museum, you will see several silos on the west side. These silos with trees are now the Pioneer Bookstore, a chain bookstore with the title of "China's Most Beautiful Bookstore".
Pioneer Garden Expo Park Silo Bookstore enters the silo through this "bridge", an unknown world.
Who would have thought that the seemingly "plain" interior of the silo would actually have a different hole. Walking down the spiral staircase to the bottom of the warehouse, I saw a pioneer bookstore hiding in it. The world of books. This silo bookstore is so confusing and magical. The circle around it stretches straight upward, with books, bookshelves...
There are many mirrors in the round silo creating a psychedelic mirror effect, which is magical and interesting. I used a special travel book to introduce this bookstore, so let us continue to visit here first.
When you come outdoors, you can see a bright and bright world. The house is covered with green plants and full of vitality.
The house built of steel glass is surrounded by green bamboo, and the water view is extremely lively.
The tough industrial elements in the neighborhood are accompanied by green vegetation. Vivid but not monotonous.
Walking from the west side of the street to the east side, continuing to leave no place.
A flower blooms proudly.
A clump of flowers walking together
Once again, I passed by the Coca-Cola Museum, and the window display was retro and romantic.
Another silo standing in groups. Silos used to be places where cement plants distributed raw materials or stored finished products, but now they have become check-in places for Internet celebrities.
Close to the iconic time clock of the Expo Park.
The industrial sites of these cement factories have been protected, processed and reshaped. On the one hand, they retain the original style of the old buildings and are revitalized.
The old building uses reinforced structures to embed a variety of "corridor" spaces to connect with the old building in terms of transportation and modeling, adding layers to the space, making it rich, changeable, and more attractive.
Set up outer sides of warehouse roof viewing corridors, outdoor exhibition corridors, horticultural landscape corridors, etc. in the industrial heritage area, and combine the greening system to create a green modern horticultural exhibition hall.
This factory turned into a time post office.
The post office is a living factory. Industrial roofs, industrial suspended roof air conditioners, industrial track lights, industrial iron display cabinets...
Especially in the middle of the post office, there is a cylindrical equipment running through the factory building. Was it used to transport stones back then? It is still preserved in situ.
Looking through the window at the mountains in the distance and the silos nearby, the scenery is different.
There are various specialties and post-office-related cultural and creative products sold here. You can also buy a passport for the Expo Park at the post office. It is also interesting to take this passport to check in at various attractions!
This penetrating cylindrical device in the house is directly connected to the outside world, so it should be the device for transporting stones. Look at these designs. They are really creative. They completely preserve the industrial ruins and become part of the current creativity. There is a unique place.
In a century-old cement factory, everything in front of us is still so real. What do you want to say in the face of history? Time flies, think about the journey of your life and what you can say to yourself in a few years, you might as well write it down here.
Send it to your future self.
Red and green mailbox
In the message booth of the Time Post Office, you can leave what you want to say to yourself and what you want to say to him. Maybe you will feel it when you come to visit it occasionally in the future?
A mural of a train on the wall is lifelike and vivid
A row of spread mailboxes. The combination of post office elements and industrial style is perfect and creative.
Get out of the time post office where the yellow lights create a nostalgic style and return to the blue sky. The park is still under construction and improvement, and builders still working can be seen everywhere. Look, there are workers working above the silo.
This is a sculpture of a worker
Factory buildings are numbered with English letters
The Bell Tower is the symbol of the main exhibition hall and the space-time landmark of the Expo Park. You can see its majestic figure from afar. At this moment, I look up and take pictures of this combination of modern Western craftsmanship and traditional Chinese culture-"Nanjing Ben Bell". I tried my best to fully store the 48-meter-high "Nanjing Times" in the lens.
This tall bell tower used to be a feeding silo. When it completed its century-old functional mission, it became a new life and became a "time landmark" that records the past and carries the present, and will also open a new future of "always blooming". When the hour hand points to the whole point, the melody of "Jasmine" plays and can be heard throughout the park.
You can walk down the spiral staircase behind Nanjing Times to the Time Exhibition Hall, use time to record time, and use your camera to freeze the story. But it doesn't seem to be open at the moment. Maybe it's just for me to come back again!
Step away and take a full body photo.
As the bell tower continues eastward, there is still a strong industrial atmosphere.
There is a camera art museum here
A statue on the road in front of the Camera Art Museum
I actually need to buy a 10-yuan ticket to visit this place. I don't understand it, and I didn't enter and visit it.
Continue to go to other experience halls
Enter with a hint of curiosity
Haha, a cute, magical toy dream factory
So many cute toys
So many familiar cartoon characters
The Princess of the Elf City-the Magic Hair Elf
Various toys based on magic elves
Children's favorite toy DreamWorks sells a large number of IP derivatives, ranging from kung fu pandas to dragon tamers. All kinds of cute toys make people of my age hang around here and feel that people have become young and cute.
Leave the cute toy dream factory and go outside.
This is the Time Art Valley with the main exhibition hall formed by the renovation of the existing building of a century-old Chinese cement factory as the core.
The abandoned cement factory building has been carefully selected and reinforced, retaining the basically complete cement production process building.
More than 40 cement silos and more than a dozen cement factories have been transformed into bookstores, museums, and art galleries, becoming a unique cultural, creative and artistic space.
It has become a composite area integrating exhibitions, industrial relics, business experiences, office meetings, leisure services, and boutique hotels.
In the Time Art Valley, the Camera Art Museum, the Time Post Office, the Dark Horse World Comic Library, the Toy Dream Factory... the collision of retro industrial style and "trendy play" brings us interesting experiences.
There are also groups of small buildings in the open space between a large area of preserved buildings, creating a contrast between the old and the new. They adopt a light structure and build a light image. The prefabricated steel structure system, with slender structural members combined with climbing vertical greening, creates a light architectural image, which contrasts with the rough and heavy industrial buildings.
The function is to solve catering problems in the park.
This is the Time Art Valley, a distinctive factory texture, industrial building space, and new steel production equipment, which together form a fantasy group picture. A century-old industrial legacy has regained its vitality. Not only has its "appearance" changed, but its internal "temperament" has also been strongly refreshed.
As I walked away, I suddenly thought of whether this old cement factory would have 'sentiment'? Has it ever thought that it would one day become so fashionable?
Gardens everywhere
Because his companion felt that the weather was hot and clamored to return home, he had to leave. Thinking about it, I feel like I'm not done yet, and a bit of disappointment. This is why I often like to walk alone. Traveling together often has to accommodate others, because mismatch between playmates often makes the journey unsatisfactory.
