Jiangning Fangshan National Geopark

Address: Moling Street, Jiangning District, Nanjing City

Tickets: Free

Walking time: 2020.3

The weather is good, and I don't want to hang around on weekends. The first stop was to go to Xinghua Village. The car drove to the door, which was not yet open for tourists to play due to the epidemic. Driving more than 40 kilometers, I couldn't just go back like this. Fortunately, I was thinking about walking on the same line as Xinghua Village and Fangshan Cherry Blossom Valley. Then go directly to Fangshan! Along the way, in addition to the temperature sensing that spring is here, the scenery along the way also tells us that spring is here.

Along the way, the fields are full of yellow rapeseed flowers.

The breath of spring brightens our mood. The epidemic has also become a thing of the past with winter, and we have finally ushered in the hope of spring.

Navigation indicates that this is where we are approaching. However, this entrance was not allowed to enter, and the staff was very enthusiastic and told us to enter the park by taking the north gate of the park. He breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, the trip was not in vain.

Come to the north gate of Fangshan National Geopark where Tianyin Avenue and Fangyin Road intersect. At the foot of Fangshan, there is a huge stone engraved with "Fangshan Geopark". We parked our car in the parking lot outside the north gate. The parking lot is charged per visit, 8 yuan per visit. The code is scanned and paid. The staff puts the invoice in a fish-catching net pocket and hands it over without contact.

The park is free, and there are special procedures to scan the code and fill in information during the epidemic.

Enter the north gate of the park, and the very spacious area is divided into three sections that penetrate vertically into the park. The main area in the middle is now fenced off and is not allowed to enter. On both sides are roads leading up the mountain, which are very spacious. We can only see the towering archway through the tall trees on one side of the road.

Elements promoting sports can be seen everywhere in the park.

At the first flat point of climbing the mountain, looking back at the road you came from, you can see the traffic flow on Tianyin Avenue.

There was a "wolf" roaring towards the sky in the mountains.

Continue up the road.

In the hall of a temple on the mountainside, the red plaque reads "Dinglin Temple"

Passing through the gate of the temple, looking back again, I wrote "Repent and be saved"

It turns out that this temple was built in the 16th year of Yuanjia (439 years) of the Sixth Song Dynasty in the Southern Dynasties. It has a history of more than 1500 years. It is a religious and cultural holy place in the Southern Dynasties and one of the famous temples in Jinling. The Buddhist community still has the reputation of "Nanding Forest, Northern Shaolin". On one side there is a tall stone with the four big red characters "Fan Yu Chongghui" written on it. Ten steps up is the Daxiong Hall. Temples are stacked layer upon layer in the mountains.

The temple was not open during the epidemic, and its grandeur can only be perceived from its appearance.

Staff members were watching the road on the right and refused to allow them to enter. It seems that Fangshan Park has just opened. In order to control the flow of people and facilitate management, the scenic spots in the park are gradually recovering.

We had to continue up the mountain along the road on our left hand.

Looking up at the Drum Tower

That majestic hall is the Daxiong Hall of Dinglin Temple. There is a spacious platform in front of the hall.

This hall above the stairs-liberation. The realm of these two words is what everyone pursues! But when people come to the world, they can only be truly relieved when they let go!

The auspicious clouds on the stone railings and the stone lions are all elements of the temple.

On the large platform in front of the Daxiong Hall, you can see the yellow-tiled hall we had just passed by and the scenery of the city.

It also silently looked at the ancient capital Nanjing

The temple cannot be entered. We continued to walk up the mountain along the wall. Outside the wall, we could see the tall Buddhist Sutra Tower.

The sun is very good, so I can rest on this green lawn. There are not many people traveling, and it must be an extraordinary period, but there are still travelers like us who can't cope with the temptation of the bright spring weather. But everyone kept a certain safe distance and chose an area to sit on the ground. Eating their own dry food and chatting, everyone was leisurely. I feel that because of this epidemic, the pace of our people has slowed down and our lifestyle has also changed.

Continue on the winding road! On one side of the carriageway is a pedestrian path.

Fangshan is rich in vegetation and intertwined branches.

This is another fork entrance, and traffic is prohibited in the direction of Nantian Gate. Our hopes of climbing to the top of the mountain were also dashed.

This road is going downhill. From a distance, it is very eye-catching to see the ladder-like tea trees at the corner setting off the two gorgeous peach blossoms.

Fangshan is not high above sea level and has a lot of vegetation, but because it is early spring, the branches have not yet been replaced with green clothes. All you can see are their clear trunks and meridians. The whole way made me feel very rough, because there was no warmth dotted with flowers. So when they see pink, their eyes light up.

Run to the peach blossoms

Look back at the beautiful corners.

Overlooking the city below you from this corner.

If you follow this road, you will get down to the other side of the mountain, which will be far away from our parking lot. This is where we turned back and headed down the mountain. I didn't know how far it was from the top of the mountain. I am a person who doesn't like mountain climbing very much. Every time I climb a mountain, I regard it as a goal and a task to complete. But thinking about a mountain with an altitude of 200 meters, since you are here, let's climb to the top! But I didn't get what I wanted. The Cherry Blossom Valley we want to reach is also a prohibited area, and we can only move in a limited area. In times of emergency, we must abide by the rules and not cause trouble.

The speed down the mountain became even faster, and they came to the front of the "wolf" again. Several flying saucer-shaped stones were arranged on the square.

The vegetation here seems much greener than the mountains.

Looking at the archway from south to north, it is still majestic and magnificent!

Fangshan does not have the rich and diverse scenery in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing, but it was originally a very ancient volcanic site with unique geology that is very rare in the entire East China region. Although the mountain is not high, it also spirals up straight up the mountain road, without seeing the spirit of the blue sky.
It is not easy to accept citizens during this period. It is still very pleasant to find a place you have never been to to take a walk and relax your mood. Moreover, the atmosphere in the park is very good, and every group is enthusiastic. Because the epidemic actually brings families closer, we have more time to spend with our families.
