"I'm afraid it's the ninth wind dew, and the world is fragrant." Autumn may be the best time to come to Nanjing. This ancient capital of the Six Dynasties is filled with the fresh and fragrant aroma of osmanthus. Xuanwu Lake, Purple Mountain, Zhonghua Gate, Confucius Temple, Qinhuai River... This city has too many famous check-in places, each of which makes people yearn for.
But in fact, there is Nanjing on the other side. It is peaceful, calm, literary and artistic. It is suitable for small walks on weekends, wandering among the shaded lawns, wandering around in the green waters and green mountains, watching exhibitions and architecture, and visiting Pukou literature and art in the autumn. Place, stroll among them, bathing in the warm sunshine of Nanjing in autumn, time is like a clean face, plain and warm.
A feast of architecture and art, Sifang Art Lake District
Goethe once had a famous saying: "Architecture is frozen music." The architectural lines are full of rhythm, quite similar to music art. The geometric lines of the building complement each other with the surrounding environment and can bring different visual impacts to the viewer. Such a feast of architectural art is staged in the Sifang Art Lake District in Pukou, Nanjing.
In the southwest of the Pearl Spring Scenic Area, the famous "No. 1 Scenic Spot in Jiangbei" in Pukou, there is a large area of quiet and secluded mountains and rivers, and the Sifang Art Lake District is hidden in it. This vast retreat has more than 20 art buildings designed by top domestic and foreign design masters. Each building is unique and complements the undulating terrain and landscape scenery of the lake area.
I am used to seeing the rows of skyscrapers in the city's CBD and the bustling hustle and bustle of the downtown area. In the crisp autumn days, I stroll on the quiet road of the Sifang Art Lake District. There is a faint fragrance of osmanthus in the wind. Walking and watching, watching the architectural art performed by the masters themselves is really as satisfying as appreciating a graceful song.
As soon as you enter the Sifang Art Lake District, the first thing you see is the Sifang Contemporary Art Museum, which was once praised as "one of the" most beautiful private art museums in the country ". The Art Museum is the work of the famous American architect Steven Hall and is also a landmark building in the Sifang Contemporary Art Lake District.
The shape of the Sifang Contemporary Art Museum is very special and unforgettable. The whole building is like a combination of several cuboid to form a "domain", and the upper gallery seems to be suspended in the air. The long fire staircase connecting the upper space and the ground is like a ladder that seems to lead directly into the sky.
Walking into the Sifang Contemporary Art Museum, exhibitions are arranged from the first underground floor to the sky gallery. Although the space inside the museum is not particularly large, it is well organized. Especially on the balcony of the Sky Gallery, it faces Nanjing City. From a distance, you can see the dotted skyline of Jinling City.
In addition to the Sifang Contemporary Art Museum, more than 20 other art buildings in the Art Lake District are also worth seeing. Here are some of my favorites--
Zhoubo was jointly designed by Finnish artists Marti Shanaksenaho and Piro Shanaksenaho. The building is built on the edge of a small lake and close to the water. The appearance of the building is similar to the hillside where it is located. Green in duck eggs, like a ship tied to the lake-and standing on the roof platform of Zhoubo and looking down, you will find that in the small lake, there is actually a small wooden boat, facing the building far away.
Return to Yin, the work of Chinese architect Zhou Kai. The white building has a minimalist style, and the entire building is hidden under the road. You need to go down the stairs to discover a hidden world.
The bunker, designed by the famous architect Zhang Lei, is as its name suggests. It is square like a solid fortress. It is located at the bottom of a small valley and faces the valley bottom stream. There are many holes in the walls of the white building, like bullet holes in a bunker.
Water lilies, the masterpiece of architect Matthew Krause. To discover the mystery of "water lilies", you need to follow a long wooden ramp to reach the roof. It turns out that the roof of this building is an aquatic botanical garden, and the round slabs on the water bloom like water lilies.
The light box, designed by architect David Adgaye, looks like a long rectangular body in appearance. There are large glass windows in the two large living rooms, and only square holes like ship portholes in the rest of the place. The lighting comes mainly from the strip skylight on the roof.
The bergamot was created by designers Luis Manciera and Emilio Alvarez. The "bergamot" and the "light box" are very close to each other. The outer wall is composed of vertically arranged bamboo slats, echoing with the lush forests and bamboo around the building, giving a feeling of fairy nature.
Fengshou Lake Country Park, you can steal half a day's leisure
On the south side of the Sifang Art Lake District, there is a large area of water as calm as a mirror. This is Fengshou Lake Country Park.
The origin of its name is due to the lake's shape like a huge palm print left on the earth, hence the name "Fengshou Lake". It is verdant here with lush vegetation, green mountains and clear waters, fresh air, and sometimes birds and even eagles can be seen flying by. It is really a place with a natural flavor.
The vast area of Fengshou Lake is a good place to walk children. From the parking lot, you can see campsites, forest expansion camps and amusement parks. Children are having a good time here.
The best place to take photos and check in on Beef Lake is the dam steps-there is a large lawn there, and the white railings and the green lawn are a perfect match! The reeds sway, under the blue sky and white clouds, it is like entering the fairy tale world written by Hayao Miyazaki!
When you walk to the top of the dam, you can see Fengshou Lake. A large green lake water spreads out in front of your eyes, the breeze blows on your face, and there are cruise ships cruising on the lake. Sitting by the lake without thinking about anything or doing anything, just quietly basking in the sun is a beautiful thing!
Puyun Road Bridge, check in the British style
Nanjing has crisscross rivers and many bridges. In Pukou, Nanjing, there is a bridge with a very unique style, which has the potential to become a place for Internet celebrities to check in-this is the Puyun Road Bridge.
The Puyun Road Bridge was completed and opened to traffic only last year. This military-green bridge spans the Chengnan River, making traffic very busy. What is completely different from other bridges in Nanjing is that this bridge is a British design. The overall bridge is a continuous steel truss bridge, while the main tower is a neoclassical architectural style, solemn and elegant, and the lines of the entire bridge are smooth and eye-catching. And on both sides of the bridge are also European churches and buildings. Standing in it, the Puyun Road Bridge complements the surrounding environment.
The Puyun Road Bridge is very quiet in the early morning. On both sides of the bridge are riverside parks and trails, shaded by trees. Occasionally, citizens walking and jogging pass by. Watching the gurgling river water and looking at the scenery beside the bridge, it is a place of leisure and leisure.
