Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, walking around Zijin Mountain
After walking half a horse around Xuanwu Lake, my heart kept moving. As Huawei's "Sports Health""2021 New Year Online Marathon" experience event came to an end, this impulse became increasingly unstoppable. Finally, on March 7, we chose to go around Zijinshan and walk the entire country.
The first section is Jiangwangmiao Street. Depart from Zhongshan Villa in the morning and head clockwise towards the fork. Since childhood, this road has been filled with scenery that cannot be familiar anymore. On the way, I stopped at the Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs Memorial Hall. This is the world's first international Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs Memorial Hall. It shows the heroic history of the air forces of China, the United States, the Soviet Union and other countries jointly fighting against the Japanese invaders on the land of China during the Second World War. When I arrived at the memorial hall, the sky fell lightly. I visited the Aviation Martyrs Cemetery with reverence. Here, I slowed down and stayed for nearly an hour.
The second section, Huanling Road. We entered Huanling Road from the fork in the road. In my impression, Huanling Road was the first time I had walked through it. This road is part of the green road around Zijinshan. It basically passes through the woods, with a gentle undulating slope. It is extremely comfortable to walk. On the way, I went to Huangma Reservoir. Huangma Reservoir is hidden among the verdant mountains and forests at the eastern foot of Zijin Mountain. When I set foot here for the first time, I felt extremely quiet. The rippling blue waves of the lake reflected the scenery of Zijin Mountain. Although it was cloudy, it was particularly picturesque.
The third section, Zijinshan East Road. Follow Huanling Road, cross Xianlin Avenue, and turn right into Zijinshan East Road. The scenery index of this road has soared all the way, accompanied by the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, passing through the sports park, Liuhui Pavilion, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, all the way to slow you down. At the same time, the slope of this road continues to increase, and the number of people on the roadside continues to burst. For safety reasons, I had to wear a mask.
The fourth section, Cemetery Road. Stop at Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum for nearly an hour, then enter Lingyuan Road and continue around Zijin Mountain. Taking Huanling Road, we are heading for the sycamore trees that block the sky. In China, sycamore has always been a symbol of good fortune. Since the first sycamore was introduced to Nanjing in 1872, sycamore seems to have become a business card of Nanjing. Walking along Huanling Road, there are towering sycamore trees on both sides of the road, covering the entire road into a natural greenway. Walking into it, the calmness and comfort is something you will never feel anywhere else, let alone the Meiling Palace, Great Kinmen, Sifang City, and Stone Statue Road, where nature and humanity meet, you will surely be able to feel the historical vicissitudes of the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties.
The fifth section, Plum Blossom Valley Road. Exit Lingyuan Road, continue to turn right and enter Meihua Valley Road. Although it is early spring, Plum Blossom Valley Road is already hidden in the sea of flowers. After this year's long severe winter, it is easy to intoxicate by seeing such a scenery. At the entrance of Meihua Valley Road, there is a particularly picture-like metasequoia forest, which is peaceful and growing upward. I have a special impression on the Metasequoia forest since I was a child. Every time I see them, I will never forget them and arouse memories of my childhood.
The sixth section, Botanical Garden Road and Taipingmen Road. Starting from the former lake, go north along the lake and the city wall, pass Liao Zhongkai's tomb and Biwa Lake, and reach Taipingmen. The Ming City Wall at the boundary between the two roads is called the Dragon Neck and is said to be the steepest section of the Ming City Wall. This road is a place I am familiar with. When I was in middle school, the school was nearby, and it left too many footprints here from that time.
The seventh section, the road around the lake. It was early to arrive at Taipingmen, and there was still 6 kilometers short of the 42-kilometer journey, so it was temporarily decided to change the route and make a detour along the Lake Road before returning to Jiangwang Temple. This road is good for everything except the crowds. It's just that after walking for most of the day, I'm getting tired and I have no time to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
The eighth section, Xuanwu Avenue, Huaxin West Road. From Xinzhuang Interchange to Yingtie Village and then to Jiangwang Temple, the common feature of these two roads is that they are messy and noisy. Walking forward with patience, the more tired I became. This period of walking was just for the sake of walking. Fortunately, victory was in sight, and the whole horse was finally completed before the mobile phone battery ran out.
This day should be particularly meaningful and unforgettable for me.
