Walking time: 2021.4
Walking method: Metro Line 1 Sanshan Street
Address: Xinanli Historical District
Walking route: Pingshi Street--Nima Lane--Xinanli--Ganxi Mansion
I had my hair done at a hair salon on Shengzhou Road, and I spent the rest of the time so I wanted to visit the nearby Ganxi residence. Walking navigation, pass through Pingshi Street from Shengzhou Road. Pingshi Street is a thousand-year-old street in Nanjing. It was once one of the most prosperous areas in Nanjing's history. Nowadays, the narrow and long Pingshi Street is not so much a street as an alley. It is such a simple and crude Pingshi Street that occupies a certain position in Nanjing's cultural geography and history with its profound heritage.
Most of the streets are mainly two-story old wooden houses, and many places are under construction and demolition of fences. There are also many simple bungalows.
Don't underestimate these bungalows. Many of them are ancient houses in old Nanjing. Residential Building No. 25 Pingshi Street
Residential Building No. 136 Pingshi Street, built in the Qing Dynasty
Qijiawan, where Pingshi Street is located, is an area where Hui compatriots living in Nanjing are relatively concentrated. Beef soup, one of the "Four Wonders" made by Hui nationality Li Rongxing, as well as dry-cut beef, beef noodles, pot stickers, etc., are all delicious and delicious Jinling cuisine that has been passed down to this day. Li Ji Muslim Restaurant, located at the top of Nanjing's Food Pyramid, is located on Pingshi Street. I originally wanted to try the old Nanjing flavor here, but looking at this attitude, I, who is not particular about eating and is not a hobby, gave up the idea of queuing.
Looking at the line that turns around, I am very curious about the feelings of these people in line. For a bowl of beef noodles, one or two pot stickers are arranged in the sun for dozens of minutes. I really can't understand it.
There are many alleys at the intersection of Pingshi Street, which runs from north to south. I need to cross the alleys east to go to Ganxi Mansion. This alley has an interesting name-Nima Lane. There is a history introduction to the alley at the entrance of the alley. Nima Lane used this name in the Ming Dynasty. Legend has it that this is the site of "Nima Dukang King". Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty's "A Survey of the Jinling Range Rovers Poetry" stated:"Nima Lane, when Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty crossed the river to take refuge, rode his horse across the river here, and it was first known as a mud horse." Now there is a guy frying popcorn in the alley. Such a scene is a childhood memory of me.
It is said that descendants of Weng Tonghe, the teacher of Emperor Guangxu, also lived in a lane called Nima Lane. In addition to Nima Alley, there are also Qincang Alley, Lingzhuang Alley, Ganzhang Alley, Dingbing Alley... These alleys and Pingshi Street are connected and criss-crossed, becoming a unique scenery in old Nanjing.
Because there was a destination, he did not wander around other alleys, but set off directly towards the destination.
Come to Residential House No. 3, Lingzhuang Lane
The one that meets Lingzhuang Lane is Daban Lane. I once introduced it in my travel book "Nanjing People See Nanjing-A Glorious View of Flowers in Daban Lane" https://you.ctrip.com/travels/nanjing9/3987048.html, but I did not continue in Daban Lane today.
A tofu pudding shop at the intersection of Daban Lane and Lingzhuang Lane replenished its energy, rested for a while, and continued eastward into the South Arrest Hall.
There is a schematic plan of Sinan Lane at the entrance of the South Arrest Hall. The picture clearly shows that Xinan Lane is located at the intersection of Zhongshan South Road and Shengzhou Road. It relies on Nanjing's largest and most completely preserved private residence in the Qing Dynasty "Ganxi Former Residence" as its core, and combines exquisite high-end leisure retail, fashionable catering, and exclusive services to form an urban fashion commercial district with a unique historical style of Jinling.
Nanju Hall was named because it was located here in the Qing Dynasty. The predecessor of the Southern Arrest Hall was the Jiangnan Yanfa Road Yamen Office established in the third year of Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty. Ganxi Mansion is located in the south of the alley of Nanju Hall. To the north of the alley, there was once the residence of Zhong Ying Middle School of the Republic of China and Wang Bingjun, a lawyer of the Republic of China.
No. 15, No. 17, No. 19 of Nanju Hall and No. 42 of Daban Lane are all sites owned by the Gan family. They were built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796 - 1820). Due to their large scale, they have the common name of "ninety-nine and a half rooms".
There is an ID card hanging by the door of the mansion on the side of the South Arrest Hall, but the door is not open.
On one side of the alley is the Gan family courtyard, and on the other side is the Ganxi mansion. Long white walls and blue tiles surround them in the courtyard. You can feel how big this place is from the depth of the alley.
Xinanli Street was built because of this former residence of Gan Xi, known as the "99 and a half rooms".
The neighborhood uses Ganxi's former residence as the carrier of cultural heritage, and takes the "Jinling Historical, Cultural and Fashion District" as the functional positioning. The "Xinanli" district introduces various leisure, retail, catering, elegant teahouses, high-end clubs, elegant music bars, etc., exotic bars, distinctive antique shops, living halls... Become a characteristic neighborhood in the south of the city.
Here, there are the beautiful elegance of Jiangnan houses with "green bricks and small tiles on horse heads, and latticed windows on corridors."
Walking until the east side of the South Arrest Hall, I couldn't find the door to enter the mansion.
Continue searching, go deep into the block, and come to the south gate of Ganxi's mansion. Perhaps due to the need for epidemic prevention and control, the entire mansion can only enter and exit through this door.
The Nanjing Folk Museum and the Nanjing City Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum are all located in it. Relying on this mansion, we can understand a lot of Nanjing stories. The content of the mansion is very rich, and I used another travel book to introduce it. Take a walk back to the block from the mansion!
There are many catering facilities in the neighborhood, with restaurants of various sizes and grades in various forms. I don't know what the taste of a bottle restaurant tastes, but judging from the decoration details, it has a Nanjing flavor.
One wall is covered with lanterns, giving off a strong flavor of Qinhuai.
There is a brick-concrete structure of the Republic of China building on the corner, with a three-story main body and a partial single-story. The slope of the small green tile, and the facade wall of the clear water green brick.
In addition to the horse-head walls with white walls and blue tiles, Xinan Li also has many garden landscapes decorated with rockery and green bamboos, pavilions and water pavilions. Walking here is like walking in Jiangnan gardens.
Hanfu enthusiasts can often be seen in Xinanli. They walk here wearing Hanfu to find the feeling of traveling.
After visiting the mansion Ganxi Mansion, I walked around the block for no purpose and headed in the direction of the subway. I ran into a bookstore on the east side of the block. There is a wooden platform outside the bookstore, surrounded by green plants.
"Winter is the end of the year, night is the end of the day, and rainy is the end of the day." Use your spare time to read books and learn! A bookstore called "Sanyu Bookstore".
The bookstore is spacious and has several partitions. The warm yellow light makes the heart soft.
This is also the "Lei Feng Love Station"
The large space is divided into functional areas through bookshelves.
The light is sprinkled lazily on the spine, and the application of large wooden elements makes the place look elegant and natural. Under the comfort of the raw wood color, the reader's impetuous heart will also calm down.
The long bookshelves are not in the traditional closed shape, but are designed with a window in the middle. Soft bags are also used on the window sill, allowing readers to rely on holding a book here to read leisurely.
In addition to being practical, this window also has a unique framing effect.
The dozing bear on the windowsill accompanied the little lady who was not reading at the desk. The picture felt very warm.
The bookstore also has an area for small salons
Bookstores are now a diversified carrier. There are also various packages of coffee and vegetable leaves, as well as lovely containers to choose from.
Inadvertently, there was a pot of green plants and a bottle of small flowers that came into view.
Small details are warm and cute
Walking out of the bookstore, the southeast corner of the block is the entrance of Metro Line 1. It's very convenient to come here.
