In the middle of winter, the end of the twelfth lunar year. I once again embarked on a distant journey and took the green train to Jinling that emerged in my dream.
At four or five o'clock in the morning, I arrived in Nanjing. Cars on the road were scattered throughout the overpass. When you come out of the station, you follow the signs to Xuanwu Lake.
Xuanwu Lake is bordered by the Ming City Wall in the west, Nanjing Station in the north, and Zhoushan in the south. It is the largest urban park in the Jiangnan area. It is also the largest royal garden lake in China. The only remaining royal garden in Jiangnan is known as the "Pearl of Jinling" and is also known as Houhu and Beihu.
The fog on Xuanwu Lake is about to end in the morning, and apes and birds are chirping. Walking on the lake, the old man watching morning exercise seems like an ink painting or an old dream in his mind.
After leaving Xuanwu Lake, I rode my bicycle to Jiming Temple. Looking at this city that has not yet awakened on the road, the sky above the street is empty, with only weak street lights shining in the middle of the road. After a while, I transferred to the subway before arriving at Jiming Temple. This temple, built in the first year of Yongkang in the Western Jin Dynasty, has a history of more than 1,700 years. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples and royal temples in Nanjing. It is known as the "480 temples of the Southern Dynasties"。
Take the three pillars of incense, walk around the temple to admire the magnificent temple, and also worship Buddha and Guanyin piously. Appreciate the unfinished ginkgo leaves, touch the city wall more than a thousand years ago, and take a SLR and take pictures everywhere, which is a beautiful postcard.
After burning incense, he left Jiming Temple and headed for the Ming City Wall.
This Ming city wall, which has been unique in China for five thousand years, was created by the four walls of the palace city, the imperial city, the capital and the Waiguo city. To this day, it is still the longest and largest ancient city wall in the world that retains authenticity. Walking on it looks like wearingFor thousands of years, the stone walls of the city wall have been covered with moss. With the changes of history, wind and rain have eroded every brick by brick and every glass.
Standing on the city wall and overlooking Xuanwu Lake and the ancient buildings nearby, there are weapons on the city wall used to defend against foreign aggression. Walking along the road along the city wall step by step to experience the precipitation of history and the changes of the times. These ancient buildings are witnessing the migration of humans and the transformation of the times. Perhaps you can unknowingly witness that China's five thousand years of history is cultural relics and buildings.
Take Metro Line 3, pass a transfer station, and then come to the Nanjing Museum, which is particularly famous in China. Nanjing Museum is one of the three major museums in China. The National Central Museum initiated by Cai Yuanpei and others is the earliest museum established in China and now a large-scale comprehensive national museum.
When I came to the History Museum, the ceramics used by Beijingers in ancient times, to the cups and cups of the royal family during the Xia and Shang Dynasties, precious cultural relics came into my eyes and were engraved in my mind. Every cultural relic represents the rise and fall of this dynasty. These cultural relics were buried in the loess through countless war-torn spring and autumn seasons, and countless days and nights when thousands of homes were littered with lights. They were finally excavated and presented to the eyes of the living.
Walking into the Republic of China Pavilion, you will find retro street lights, black classic cars, and brightly lit Western Building. Walking on the streets of the Republic of China feels like traveling through the most romantic period of the Republic of China. Write a poem by Xu Zhimo or Guo Moruo, put it in an envelope and send it to your favorite person through the mailbox of Time.
At noon, the gentle sunshine shines on every corner of Jinling City, and busy Nanjing people are still running on the streets. Riding a bicycle to Meiling Palace, I was attracted by the ancient and tall sycamore trees on the roadside. During the Republic of China, there was a touching love. Legend has it that Song Meiling liked sycamore trees very much. Because of her love, Chiang Kai-shek planted hundreds of acres of sycamore trees in Jinling City. The trees were sycamore trees and the city was Nanjing City. Love sycamore trees, planted all over Nanjing City.
Follow the sycamore forest to reach Meiling Palace, known as the "No. 1 Villa in the Far East". Meiling Palace, built in 1931, was originally the former site of the official residence of the President of the National Government. It was later changed to the place where Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling stayed, worshipped and rested, so it was called Meiling Palace.
Meiling Palace is surrounded by the sycamore trees planted by Chiang Kai-shek. Meiling Palace is like a ruby inlaid in the sycamore trees. In this cold winter, the leaves of the sycamore trees have long fallen in the sky.
Outside the door of Meiling Palace is a classic car. I heard the guide say that this classic car was presented by the President of the United States at that time. Perhaps at that time, in the war-torn modern history, China was backward and recognized as a weak country around the world. The corruption of the Qing government, the invasion of the Eight-Power Allied Forces, Japan's burning, killing and looting, and the war between the two parties made life difficult for the Chinese people during that period and made the world think that China was fragile.
If the woman I admired most during the Republic of China was Song Meiling, her speech on the American stage gave the world a world-shaking understanding of Chinese women. Her fluent American English made the world have no choice but to admire this woman from China. There are calligraphy and paintings created by Song Meiling and the piano played in the Meiling Palace. In it, I feel the life of this legendary woman.
After leaving Meiling Palace, I hurried to the next attraction with the tourists. After walking a few miles, we arrived at the world-famous Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is a great pioneer of democratic revolution in modern history of our country. It is the tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and its affiliated memorial museum. It faces Pingchuan in front, with green peaks on its back, Linggu Temple in the east, and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum in the west. The entire building complex is built against the mountain and gradually rises along the central axis from south to north.
Step down the stone steps and pay homage to the great man of the generation, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. There is a statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen in the mourning hall. I stood in front of the statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen and bowed deeply to this great man to express my admiration for him. Directly above the mourning hall are the Three People's Principles proposed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen: nation, civil rights, and people's livelihood. He was the greatest revolutionary pioneer in Chinese history. He founded the Republic of China and lived a clean life.
Time was urging me to the next monument, and I arrived at the Presidential Palace another hour later. The Presidential Palace is the largest and most completely preserved building complex among modern architectural relics in China. The Presidential Palace has a history of more than 600 years, dating back to the Marquis Guidde Mansion and the King Mansion of Han in the early Ming Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, it was turned into the Jiangning Weaving Office and the Governor of Liangjiang, Kangxi and Nanxun used it as a palace; After the Taiping Rebellion established Tianjing as its capital, a large-scale Tianwang Mansion was built here; in 1921, Dr. Sun Yat-sen announced the founding of the Republic of China and became the interim president, thus ending China's three thousand years of feudal autocracy.
Walking along this central axis in the Presidential Palace, listening to the tour guide explain the history that happened here. It is said that decisions on many major events in modern history were made here, and Chiang Kai-shek's office was also here. On April 23, 1949, with the sound of a gunshot, the Chinese People's Liberation Army occupied Nanjing. On the 24th, Zhou Enlai picked up the phone in Chiang Kai-shek's office and called Mao Zedong to announce the complete liberation of China.
Arriving in the backyard, ginkgo leaves fell on the edge of the stone eaves, and many trees had withered branches and leaves fell. Enjoy the style of Jiangnan gardens along the stone road, and the river surrounds the Xiyang Tower. Stop and go, take a SLR and record all the beautiful scenery.
The sunset sunset fades the last blush in the evening, and the sky gradually changes from blue to indigo. At night, the lights illuminate Nanjing City brilliantly. Ride a bicycle and admire Jinling City, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties.
Strolling through the pedestrian street of Laomen East, the snacks, bars, lively markets, and noisy crowds on both sides present the scene of fireworks in the world. Entering the Pioneer Bookstore, you will find retro bookcases, literary and artistic buildings, and the books displayed in the cabinets. Grab a novel or biography easily and quietly taste the charm between the lines in a bookstore.
After leaving the bookstore, after walking a mile, we arrive at Nanjing's most famous Confucius Temple. A noisy crowd was dotted all over the pedestrian street of Confucius Temple. I walked into a small shop selling words, took two or three postcards to write my expectations for the future, covered them with the badge, and threw them into the mailbox for time to take it to the distance.
Continue moving forward and you will reach the Confucius Temple. Confucius Temple is China's first and highest institution of learning in the country. It consists of the Confucian Temple, Xuegong and Gongyuan buildings. In the temple, there are benevolence, righteousness, etiquette, wisdom and trust proposed by the great thinker Confucius, as well as books and ink from the imperial examinations that year.
Walking out of the Confucius Temple, he walked along the Qinhuai River. The lights on both sides of the Qinhuai River were brightly lit, and tourists were rafting in the river. Taking this scene, they couldn't help but sing,"Smoke cages are cold, water and sand are trapped, and Qinhuai is near restaurants at night. The merchant girl doesn't know the hatred for the country, but she still sings about the flowers in the back courtyard across the river."
When you get out of the Qinhuai River, take the subway and run to Nanjing South Railway Station. After the day's journey, I took the train back to my hometown.
Jiming Temple in the early morning, Xuanwu Lake filled with fog at dawn, overlooking the Ming City Wall, cultural relics from the museum, sycamore trees in Meiling Palace, white pigeons from Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the central axis of the Presidential Palace, fireworks on the East of Laomen and Qinhuai scenery of Confucius Temple. These are my impressions of Jinling City. Scenes were played in my mind again, and I reluctantly took the train and left.
Our life is short and difficult, like a journey that reaches the end of life without knowing when. On this journey, we missed too many scenery and passed by tourists. The same is true of life. The impossibility of all things is repeating itself. Cherish the lines in your hands that have hope for life. This life is close at hand and far away in the sky.
In my impression of Jinling, I hope you will be as prosperous as ever.
