Jiangnan is good in late autumn and early winter, and the frost leaves are redder than the flowers in February.

Qixia Mountain in Nanjing is one of the four major maple spots in China. It is covered in the mountains and plains, covered by layers of forests, as bright as rosy clouds.

Whether it is above the high Maple Ridge or in the long red leaf valley, whether it is Xiaoyingpan or Taohua Stream, there are all beautiful scenery of maple forests and gorgeous red leaves. There are more than ten kinds of red leaf varieties in Qixia Mountain, mainly including red maple, sweetgum, Qixia Mountain (8 pieces) triangular maple, pistachia, beech tree, Chinese tallow tree, rhus chinensis, maple clungeanum, etc., especially five-sided maple and maple clungeanum. Most of them, there are more than 500 maple trees over a century old and more than 500,000 colored leaf trees of various types.

If you only see maple leaves when you walk into Qixia Mountain, it will really be a blind leaf and you won't recognize Qixia. The Qixia Ancient Temple, hidden by the red leaves of the mountains, is a bright pearl that cannot be missed.

Qixia Temple was built in the seventh year of Yongming in the Southern Qi Dynasty (489). Liang Senglang made great contributions to the teachings here and was known as the first ancestor of the Jiangnan Sanlun Sect. Yang Jian, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, built a stupa in the 83 prefectures, and Qixia Temple ranked first. In the Tang Dynasty, it was called Gongde Temple. It was a huge scale. It was called the four major jungles in the world, together with Lingyan Temple in Changqing, Shandong, Yuquan Temple in Dangyang City, Hubei, and Guoqing Temple in Tiantai, Zhejiang.

Ancient temples hidden deep in the mountains reflect the Zen mind in colorful colors. Amid the gorgeous maple scenery, the Qixia Ancient Temple is also picturesque.

Finally, don't forget to climb the mountain and look far away like Ying Zheng, go to the Yellow Emperor's riverside in person, and overlook the surging east flowing water of the Yangtze River.
