The summer vacation is coming to an end. In order to seize the tail of the summer vacation and to show our children the style of the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, my best friend and I rushed to Nanjing with our two children. Before coming here, because I didn't do the guide carefully, everything was played casually, so I left some regrets on this trip.
Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties and the capital of Jiangsu, is really worth having a good time for three to five days, but we only arranged this trip for two and a half days. The time was really a bit short. This is a pity.
Let's talk about living first. Because two moms were bringing two girls, considering factors such as safety and convenience, we found a B & B with convenient transportation directly on Ctrip (Jinglong International Apartment). This B & B is located next to the Fuzimiao subway station on Metro Line 3. It takes five minutes to walk to the Fuzimiao Commercial Street. It is also very convenient to the Zhanyuan, Fuzimiao, Imperial Examination Museum, Wuyi Lane, and Laomen East around the Fuzimiao Temple, all within walking distance. Although it is close to tourist attractions, it is not noisy at all. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, subway stations and other living facilities downstairs, which is very convenient. Nanjing's regular scenic spots, such as the Presidential Palace, Nanjing Museum, Zhongshan Scenic Area, Xuanwu Lake, etc., are basically located along Metro Lines 2 and 3. Therefore, if you are traveling on a self-service basis in Nanjing, it is recommended to choose these two subways for accommodation. Along the line, you can travel by subway, which is very convenient.
Let's talk about fun again. Since there are many people who come to Nanjing during the summer, although the Nanjing Museum and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum do not need to buy tickets, they must make an appointment in advance to enter. Moreover, the above scenic spots will be closed on Monday, so I would like to remind everyone here that you must make an appointment in advance and avoid Monday, otherwise you really won't be able to enter. (Nanjing Museum and Zhongshan Scenic Area both have Weixin Official Accounts and Mini programs. Appointments must be completed through the public accounts and Mini programs, so we must pay attention in advance.) We couldn't enter the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum on this trip because there was no appointment and the next day was Monday. This is a pity. Fortunately, I made an appointment at the Nanjing Museum. Nanjing Museum is worthy of being one of the three major museums in China. It has a rich variety of collections and a large number of collections, both national and regional. The displays are also very scientific and are very worth seeing. After missing the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, there was still half a day to go to Nanjing, so we just got up early and climbed the Ming City Wall in Nanjing. It is said that early birds have food. When we arrived at the Taicheng section of the Ming City Wall, it was not yet 8 o'clock in the morning, and the Ming City Wall was not yet open. So the four people who got early went directly to Xuanwu Lake Park to join the morning exercise in Nanjing. Together with people, appreciate and taste the ancient charm of Nanjing. That day, the four of us were the first to climb the Ming City Wall, and we were also the first to enter Jiming Temple directly from the city wall. When we came out of Jiming Temple and walked to the subway station, the large group of tourist groups began to climb the city wall. Here is a brief introduction of Jiming Temple. Everyone is familiar with the saying of Du Mu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty,"There are 480 temples in the Southern Dynasty, how many towers are in the misty rain." Jiming Temple is the first of the 480 temples in the Southern Dynasty and is the oldest Buddhist temple in Nanjing. It is built against the mountain and is close to the city wall. It can be directly entered into the temple from the Taicheng section. It naturally blends with the Ming City Wall and Xuanwu Lake. It is a reflection of the beauty and tranquility of Nanjing City.
I've finished living and traveling, let's talk about eating again. When I came to Nanjing, of course, I had to eat Nanjing's specialty snacks. I tried duck blood powder, soup dumplings and salted duck. The food in the tourist attractions was really not delicious. There was nothing special about duck blood powder, just adding some duck meat and duck blood in the vermicelli soup; the salted ducks in the tourist attractions were all frozen and placed directly on the plate, lacking some delicacy. The soup dumplings ate the famous Yin's soup dumplings. He brought every kind of steamed buns from his family to a drawer. To be honest, I really didn't know how delicious this soup dumplings were. Not being able to really taste the local food should be the third regret of this trip. There is a pastry shop in Luxi River at the end of Fuzimiao Commercial Street. The pastries in this shop are quite good.
He talked a lot of time, hoping to provide some useful information to the tourists who are planning to visit Nanjing and wish everyone a good time!
