6.Nanjing

On January 3, we arrived at Zhenjiang Railway Station an hour and a half early, ready to leave for Nanjing. Everyone is looking forward to it, because Brother Chang's comrades have already booked a hotel for us, and they are already waiting there to welcome us.

At a glance, we can see the bridge and surrounding buildings across the river, and sigh with our friends 'intention and generosity. However, the hotel's elevator also caused us confusion for the first time. When checking in, the waiter did not inform us of how to use it in time. When going downstairs, he operated the elevator to rise instead of lowering, and reached the 53rd floor in seconds. Hehe, it was not a waste to take a casual look.

Brother Chang's comrade, General Manager Zhang, was reluctant to refuse his kindness. He invited three comrades to accompany him for lunch. Several old friends had a very pleasant conversation during the meal. Then, he arranged for two company cars to take us on a trip. The word "fraternity" is written on the tall archway, silently telling the world the life of a great man, solemnly and solemnly. Almost all of us stayed outside the gate for a short while and then returned to the parking lot. Only my husband quickly scanned the code and entered, and it took only 40 minutes to complete the entire journey.

The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum ended its journey and rushed to the Qinhuai River Commercial District. When we entered this prosperous pedestrian street, it was already sunset. The sky was getting darker and the lanterns were beginning to come on. A warm halo was integrated with the bright yellow top of the pleasure boats docked on the river, reminding people of the grand scene of Qinhuai in the past ten miles and Du Mu's poem that has been passed down through the ages: Smoke cages were cold, water and moon cages were covered in sand, and Qinhuai was parked near the restaurant at night. The merchant girl did not know the hatred of the country, and she still sang the flowers in the back courtyard across the river. There are many historical relics here, such as Confucius Temple, Wuyi Lane, Jiangnan Gongyuan, Meixiang Tower, Zhanyuan, Zhonghua Gate and other monuments, but delaying satisfaction to give a chance next time is also the joy of life.

Thinking that this trip to Jiangsu and Zhejiang was coming to an end, I couldn't return home empty-handed. I would bring some gifts to my friends to express my feelings and share our happiness, so I made a temporary decision to buy salted ducks at a shop in Fuzimiao Commercial Street. Nanjing is known as "the best duck cuisine in Jinling". The local people's love for ducks can be said to be deep in their bones. According to incomplete statistics, Nanjing people eat 100 million ducks a year. Judging from Nanjing's fancy duck making method, no duck can walk out of Nanjing alive.

The richness of dinner allows us to satisfy our taste buds while also eating to support our hearts. On this road of no return to food, humans are never alone! In the box, we enjoyed star-rated services. Brother Chang and his wife chatted with their close friends who were drinking. They were drunk and each of them showed their true temperament. They held hands and sang "Song of Comrades". When the loud battle song of "Comrades, Comrades are as close as brothers" sounded, I couldn't help but be infected by this scene and deeply envied their comrades-in-arms friendship. The success and failure of life was like a passing cloud. If old friends who we haven't seen in twenty or thirty years can treat you as always, that feeling is hot. It's sweet and incomparable!

Although I am reluctant to part with each trip when I am about to return, I feel happy and urgent to go home. The enthusiastic host prepared two wild Artemisia stalks for our family. This gift is not only nutritious and delicious, but also more precious than anything else.
