Over the years, she has come and gone to Ningbo countless times, but she has never tasted her existence well.
Even my father, who was about to travel all over China, had never fully appreciated Ningbo.
This summer, we made an appointment to go to Ningbo again to get a good taste of Ningbo.
Ningbo, a famous city with a long history in Zhejiang,
She faces the mountains and the sea, has beautiful scenery and diverse cultures.
The once important geographical location here is the origin of marine culture and a model of Jiangnan flavor.
In Ningbo, you can find countless authentic flavors, some of which are long, elegant, fresh, or pious.
This time in Ningbo, we will drive around by ourselves ~
The ultra-modern design style museum carries Ningbo's thousands of years of civilization from the inside out.
The wind is light and the clouds are clear. At the mouth of the River of Time, the city gate, the old street, and the former residence, there must be no missing.
Shanghai-style culture, new flavor and old Bund, and historical memories stand forever in Sanjiangkou.
The breeze is blowing and willows are leaning against each other. With a pious heart, take a walk by the Dongqian Lake.
It is built along the river and walks through the street. Find out about Ningbo on the Old Street of Nantang.
Flying down 3,000 feet may be the spirit of Xuedou Mountain Qianzhang Rock Waterfall.
Qingyue Lake water gathers the style of Ningbo's ancient buildings and tells stories one by one.

Coexistence of modernity and history-Ningbo Museum
The best way to understand a city is to start with museums. I don't know when, but I have also begun to linger in museums in every city to understand the heritage of a city.
Therefore, the first stop in Ningbo was the Ningbo Museum. Don't underestimate the city's museums. This museum is now a popular Internet celebrity check-in spot in Ningbo.
The Ningbo Museum itself is a work of modern art. Famous architect Wang Shu used Qin bricks and Han tiles collected from the renovation of the old city, Tang, Song, and Qing dynasties as exterior decoration to create this irregularly shaped museum full of postmodern art.
Ningbo Museum is now a free exhibition hall. You can enter by making an appointment on the public account in advance and checking your body temperature. The entrance is located in the middle of two irregular buildings, and you enter the venue through the pool.
The venue has a total of three floors, but the most classic parts start on the second floor of the exhibition hall. The two exhibition halls on the first floor are basically ad hoc exhibitions. Connecting the three floors is an irregular trapezoidal staircase, which is full of momentum and is also the favorite part of children to play with.
In fact, the overall area of the entire museum is not very large, but the setting of such a staircase is full of space.
In order to better understand the entire history of Ningbo, we started with the exhibition hall on the second floor and also learned about the earliest Hemudu culture in Ningbo. Hemudu Culture is a Neolithic culture in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin in China. It dates back to 7,000 years and has a long history. Today, many sites and products of that time have also been discovered in Ningbo and are displayed in museums.
The scenes of people's lives at that time were restored and very vivid, as if it were just like what was happening in front of them.
The exquisite pottery, the lifelike people and animals on it, and the buildings surrounded by it all reveal the richness of people's life at that time. Produced during the Three Kingdoms period.
A building shaped like a roasting kiln appeared in front of us. What is displayed here is the kiln making process in Ningbo. Of course, depending on the place, there may be some differences in kiln making, but the general process is still the same. We are immersive. Demonstrate the exquisite local craftsmanship!
The real-life displays in the venue are also restoring the development in Ningbo's history that we have long seen, such as the disappeared city gates and the appearance of Ningbo's old city during that era.
Ningbo is close to the sea. Fishermen, navigation, and trade are all words with which Ningbo has close connections. Next, we will definitely talk about the local development driven by Ningbo as an important port since ancient times.
Buddhist culture was also an important religious culture in the development of Ningbo at that time. From Ningbo's urban area to Tiantong Temple in the suburbs to Xuedou Mountain, Buddhism was everywhere. In addition to the Buddhist holy places with a long history, there were also some Exquisite Buddhist exhibits with a long history are displayed here, such as finely carved metal Buddha statues and stupas!
The Oriental Shenzhou Exhibition Hall is based on the regional cultural development of Ningbo and takes the Maritime Silk Road as the main line. It shows the citizens the 7000-year history of Ningbo's civilization through seven contents, including "Ancient Four Mings","Extension of Land and Three Rivers","Establishment of Prefectural Cities","International Port City", and "Haiding Boning","Southeast Metropolis" and "Opening Ports for Trade".
History is vivid in the display of real-life objects. Ningbo's prosperity, war and development are all clearly portrayed. During the visit, we seemed to have watched a documentary about the story of Ningbo.
The once small fishing port became a port for trading, commerce became more and more prosperous, and various commercial streets were formed. Today, Ningbo still retains some of its past appearance. In later explorations of Ningbo City, you can see what those old memories look like.
"Allah" Old Ningbo, as a fragment of history and a symbol of culture, consists of six parts: "Ningbo Time-honored Brand","Ningbo Wedding Customs 'Ten Miles Red Made'"," Ningbo Old Wall Gate "," Ningbo Annual Customs "," Ningbo Folk Arts and Crafts "," Ningbo Opera and Ningbo Dialect ", showing the old Ningbo where" no peace could lead to a city ".
This part is also the one closest to our lives. We can see many customs related to the culture still in Ningbo today. As the saying goes, most of the cultures in Jiangnan have similarities, and Ningbo and Shanghai are always closely related.
Ningbo's cultural customs are also mainly displayed through real-life scenes. Walking in the exhibition hall is like walking into a tunnel of time, like watching Ningbo people living and working at that time.
Many of the exhibits are already at the protection level, and now they may not be able to see them even if you go to the most remote small villages in Ningbo.
Opera culture is also an important form of entertainment in Ningbo. The museum briefly introduced the opera culture existing in Ningbo, as well as the stage and other real scenes, but did not elaborate on it in detail. After all, if you want to talk in depth, it will be a long historical story!
Originally, the Ningbo Museum also had one of the most classic outdoor staircases. However, there was no great hope outside due to the continuous heavy rain. I could only visit the exhibition hall. It was a little pity, but the irregular exhibition hall building on the top floor and the bricks and tiles I walked in made me feel the deep charm of modern art.
Finally, we took a quick look at the special exhibition on the next floor. It was an exhibition about animals in the world. It happened during the summer vacation and there were many children. This venue was their favorite place, with countless animal models of various types matching the theme.
The special exhibition changes with the passage of time. There have been wonderful exhibitions on Ningbo daily necessities before. Interested friends suggest paying attention to the special exhibition notice on the official website in advance ~
The Old Bund, a Land of Shanghai-style Culture
Old Bund, why should I add a Shanghai-style culture to him? In fact, before I went there, my impression of the Old Bund should be a place with the old flavor of Ningbo. However, when I actually arrived here, I felt the changing old Bund, full of the flavor of a combination of Chinese and Western.
The Old Bund is an excellent place where the three rivers of Ningbo gather and a gateway to the ancient city of Ningbo. Therefore, Ningbo in the Tang Dynasty was one of China's four major ports. After the signing of the Treaty of Nanjing, Ningbo became one of the "five-port trading" ports and was officially opened in 1844. The north bank of the river developed into a residential area for expatriates from Britain, France and the United States. It is one of the earliest "concessions" in China and has a longer history than Shanghai's Bund.
The oldest thing left of the old Bund today is the broken wall at the south entrance. The broken wall does not fall, and the green shade surrounds the ruins, exuding the flavor of history.
On one side of the broken wall is the most eye-catching Jiangbei Catholic Church standing at the intersection of the Three Rivers. This is the place that a good friend in Ningbo strongly recommended that I should visit. I didn't know why until I arrived here. The Catholic Church stands at the mouth of the river and can be clearly seen no matter which river bank you look at, like a landmark. This Catholic church was built in 1872 and has a typical Gothic architectural style. It was once the tallest building in Ningbo and a typical representative of the introduction of Catholicism into Ningbo after its opening.
After parking the car in the parking lot of the Catholic Church, we walked into Ningbo's Old Bund to experience this legacy of Shanghai culture.
Perhaps the time came a little early, but today's Bund has long become the exclusive place of young people, with various romantic bars open on the street. There are various literary and artistic scenes arranged outside the store, attracting everyone to take photos here.
At night, this place will become a bar with constant music. During the day, we will be given the opportunity to take artistic photos. The quiet streets allow me to better feel the atmosphere of the old Bund.
The old Bund is not big, and you can walk to the riverside in all directions. This is the viewing corridor of the Yongjiang River. It has just been fresh after the rain. You might as well blow the river breeze on the riverside, watch the boats coming and going, and feel the busy and prosperous pier style of those days!
The buildings around the Old Bund have a strong European style, as if they had arrived on a path in Europe in an instant. They are now well preserved.
Shikumen was actually found in the inner alley of the old Bund. If it weren't for the mark, we would have missed it. This Shikumen is still slightly different from the one in Shanghai, but it also reflects that the old Bund in Ningbo at that time was the best demonstration of the combination of Chinese and Western countries as a concession!
Misty rain and money embankment, quiet little Putuo
When it comes to Zhejiang's famous lakes, everyone's first reaction is definitely the West Lake, but the scenery of Dongqian Lake in Ningbo is no less than that of the West Lake. Dongqian Lake is three times the area of West Lake. It is surrounded by green mountains and has beautiful scenery. It is praised by Mr. Guo Moruo as "the scenery of West Lake and the spirit of Taihu Lake." It is such a lively scenery that has become a business card of Ningbo today.
Green mountains and clear waters are the scenery we yearn for most after being busy. Dongqian Lake is very large, and you can enjoy the most beautiful lake scenery everywhere and enjoy the leisure of the weekend.
Dongqian Lake has many famous scenic spots, and many scenic spots are even built by the lake for a good environment. The scenery on each lake has different flavors, and the Taogong Dike, which divides Dongqian Lake into north and south sides, is also the core scenic spot of Dongqian Lake. When I first came here, I fell in love with this tranquility and beauty.
Nowadays, many scenic spots in Ningbo are free of charge and can be entered by showing the green code. Although it is the rainy season, the temperature is not very high. The lake wind blows and it is very cool. The hazy cover covers the opposite hill and the beautiful scenery of the Yangtze River is misty and rainy. That's all.
The Xiaoputuo Scenic Area on Taogong Island is mainly an entire long embankment leading to the other bank. Along the way, in addition to enjoying the lake scenery, you can go to the famous temple on the embankment to pray for blessings. We will also go and have a look when we are here for the first time.
There is a cruise ship terminal outside the scenic area, as well as slow boats and speedboats. You can feel the charm of Dongqian Lake more deeply. However, as quiet as I am, I still like to walk on the embankment to see the lake view.
The dam was not particularly long, but it took half an hour to walk. Later, it started to float after the rain. We chose to take a shuttle bus out of the scenic area, but the walking distance was just right ~
Xiao Putuo is the most famous water Guanyin. The natural beauty of Dongqian Lake is coupled with the blessings of Guanyin. At this moment, no matter how impetuous my heart is calmed down.
The winding path is deep and deep, and the place where the forest is dense is Xiaoputuo's temple-Xiayu Zen Temple. The gate of the temple is relatively low-key. I saw many tourists returning directly to the water Guanyin but did not come in.
The outer walls are all beautiful carvings, which should describe the history of the temple. Now, the lush green grass covers a large part of it, but it is full of mystery.
The most famous temple must be this Dongtian Grottoes. This Grottoes were built in the Song Dynasty and have a long history. The cave leads deep into the cave and there are several places of worship for Buddha.
Another reason why I like Xiaoputuo is the residential villages outside the scenic area. These are all indigenous villages. They are born along the river and are quiet and comfortable. When the wind is down, the water surface is calm and everything on the water is reflected. This is the feeling I like.
The dry goods in the sun and the simplicity of life are all the best reasons for people to come and taste Dongqian Lake ~
Xikou Town, Millennium Ancient Town
Xikou Town is affiliated to Fenghua District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the southern flank of the Yangtze River Delta and at the foot of Siming Mountain. It is not only a tourist town with beautiful mountains and clear waters, but also the hometown of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo, and a historical and cultural town.
Today, there are still 22 well-preserved Chiang's ruins and historical sites of the Republic of China in the former residence scenic spot. The attractions open in the joint ticket include Fenghao House, Wenchang Pavilion, small bungalows, Yutai Yanpu, etc. Xikou is the place where Jiang and his son were born, enlightened, lived, married, and worshipped their ancestors, leaving a mark of their lives. To enter Xikou Town, you must only pass through Wuling Gate, named after the ridge of Jianwu Mountain. The atmosphere of life in Wuling Gate in the past is still preserved.
The Yan River is also very lively, with fishing and water players
The ancient houses in the ancient town have long been converted into shops, selling Xikou specialties
The Jiang Ancestral Temple is a traditional place where the Jiang surname in Xikou conducts clan activities. Ancestral sacrifices, celebrations, weddings, funerals, etc. are all held here. Here is dedicated to the ancestral shrines of the Jiang family since the ancestor Jiang Shijie moved to Xikou at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. More than 600 years of family history are condensed here.
The ancestral hall also displays many valuable collections
Later, it became the old ancestral temple, and the stage was connected to the middle gate. Back then, guests were invited to watch the opera here
Fenghao Room is the place where the Chiang family lived, worked and played here in the past. The layout is very large.
The wood carving is very beautiful, but it is also crowded with tourists
Yutai Yanpu, a place where business once existed, was of course part of Jiang's former residence. The oldest house belongs here. Walking up the stairs, the entire building shook a little, and the wooden floor made a sound.
Wenchang Pavilion, located between Wushan Mountains, takes advantage of its geographical location and becomes the most beautiful place in Xikou Town. Shoukui Star is enshrined in the pavilion. This Wenchang Pavilion was also rebuilt later
The pavilion shows some of Chiang Kai-shek's daily life, and the beds in the room are covered with mirrors
The scenery from here is really beautiful, and you can have a panoramic view of the entire ancient town of Xikou.
A small house with three rooms and two floors was once the residence of Chiang Ching-kuo
The lights, doors, walls of the old bungalows, and every inch of land tell history. I also want to walk through them gracefully
Above Wuling Gate, you can see the entire Xikou Town and outside the town. This should be the most important place in the entire Xikou. Standing above the gate will give you a unique flavor.
When the lights in Xikou Ancient Town turn on in the evening, the entire ancient town will have a different flavor. If you happen to come for dinner, you must take a walk and experience it.
Xuedou Mountain, northwest of Xikou Town, Fenghua District, is the highest peak in the branch of Siming Mountain, with an altitude of 800 meters. It is known as "Penglai on the Sea and Tiantai on the Land".
It has pleasant scenery and a treasure place of feng shui. It is the ashram of Maitreya Buddha, one of China's five famous Buddhist mountains. It's so fun to take a walk in the valley on a hot summer day and get close to the water. When you drive to Xuedou Mountain, you now have to park your car in the tourist distribution center. After all, the mountain road is relatively narrow, and safety comes first when you come out to play. Today's first stop is Sanyin Lake.
Along the canyon, we were amazed by the various postures of pool water, waterfalls or tranquility. The hidden waterfall is shy between the cracks.
Shangyin Lake is calm and peaceful, just like in the painting, without a trace of waves. The mountains and rocks are even more majestic under the blue sky and white clouds.
Small stone steps, pool water flows through the middle, which makes it a little more fun
The valley suddenly dropped, and the prospects were open at a glance. The fun in the mountains of Xuedou Mountain is so thrilling and safe.
The shine of waterfalls and sunshine gathered together. One waterfall after another, the excitement continues.
The two hanging waterfalls suddenly appeared in front of them, like mandarin ducks playing in the water, echoing each other.
Sanyintan is most famous for its various waterfalls, one after another. In old photos of Jiang's former residence, Jiang and his son once visited here to play and take photos.
Nowadays, there is no need to climb the mountain to see the great waterfall. There are small trains in the mountains that bypass the cliff and reach the bottom of the waterfall. The humanization of play makes climbing no longer just about fatigue, but more about enjoying the beautiful scenery of nature.
The spectacular Qianzhang Cliff Waterfall is right in front of you. The wind blows under the waterfall, which is extremely comfortable and relieves the scorching heat. Qianzhang Cliff is the most essence of the scenic area, and the waterfalls are also spectacular and shocking.
Take the cable car and head to Miaogai. From here, you can also see the beautiful Tingxia Lake in the mountains. Tingxia Lake is a water conservancy project at Xikou and has now become a beautiful scenery in this area.
Miao Gaotai, you can also see Qianzhang Cliff Waterfall from the observation deck. Isn't it also spectacular from a different angle?
Nantang Old Street, one of Ningbo's eight historical districts, once the "Nanmen Three Cities" where old Ningbo's commerce and culture gathered, has now been maintained and reappeared in our vision. Along a quiet small river, the old street stretches for several blocks. If you want to combine historical relics with modern commercial atmosphere, it is worthy of being one of the good places to taste old Ningbo.
Nantang Old Street is now divided into several periods, the most lively one being the earliest period. The commercial street model, the integration of old Ningbo food and culture, it's just right to understand Ningbo from here ~
You can see many Ningbo specialty delicacies on the old streets, such as Ningbo Tangyuan. Ningbo Tangyuan is glutinous to its advantage. The fillings have followed today's popularity and have developed from bean paste to roses and durian. They are quite creative.
There are rows of old shops and there are many choices. You can taste it in one shop or try it in a few more shops. On the contrary, when you come here, you can experience the joy of Ningbo cuisine even more.
Many shops have followed the tune of the old street and adopted a literary and artistic style. The careful scenery has given young literary and artistic people countless reasons to linger.
Of course, craftsmen can't miss the atmosphere of the old street. The essence lies in their works, which is probably about their craftsmanship. Even we have to sigh when we see it. Like! Very similar!
Walking through the old street and slowly visiting it. There are really many relics in the old street. Don't go shopping. The ruins are often hidden in the streets and alleys. For example, the stage, the octagonal pavilion, the wind and rain corridor...
As a first-tier city, rapid development will always erase many memories. It is really rare for places like Nantang Old Street to retain complete Ming and Qing Dynasties buildings, giving us the opportunity to read and feel them.
The lung of the city, a collection of historical relics-Yuehu Park
Located in the urban area of Ningbo, Yuehu Park, which covers a large area of greening, can be said to be the lung of the city. Compared with the public's familiarity with this park, what's more important is that the two large lake areas are home to many historic sites, which are rare places to understand Ningbo's cultural history.
Ningbo's Moon Lake was formed in the Tang Dynasty. The wide part looks like a full moon, and the narrow part looks like a brow moon, so it is called the Moon Lake. The long time is also one of the reasons why so many ancient relics are left here. When we went there, part of Yuehu was under construction, so we only visited half of the lake.
The Grand Canal Water Monument is located at the corner of Yuehu Park. This is the earliest water conservancy project that has been seen and recorded in the Ningbo Museum. It is a way to judge whether Ningbo has floods and floods.
The ancient buildings along the river are Shi's hometown and Shi Hao's former residence in Baokui Lane. Traces of ancient life can still be seen everywhere. The venue has been transformed into an exhibition hall and a teahouse for tourists to taste tea.
The tranquility covered by the greenery gave me a different impression of Yuehu Park. It turns out that Yuehu Park has so many "treasures"!
Only by bypassing the old house can you truly see the water of the Moon Lake, and the island in front of you is Fangcaozhou, the island in the middle of the Moon Lake in the north.
Fangcaozhou is one of the ten scenic spots in Yuehu and can be called an exquisite small garden. The scenery in the park is reasonably laid out, carefully carved, and has rockery, small ponds, strange rocks, pavilions, pavilions and pavilions.
Fangcaozhou used to be the location of Ningbo's children's playground, but now the pavilions and pavilions have an elegant temperament and give people a comfortable atmosphere.
Yuehu Park has boating events that can freely encircle Fangcao Island. Many duck boats paddle around the island, which seems to remind people of the past of Fangcao Island.
Although it is a weekday, there are not a few people who enjoy it comfortably by the lake during the day. Sitting on the reef, drinking tea and chatting by a lake surrounded by willows is really the most enjoyable side of Ningbo people.
On the other side of the lake is Buddhist Jushilin. I wanted to go to the opposite side and have a look, but because the project had enclosed the necessary road, I didn't go there again and could only look into the distance.
Near Yuehu Park is Ningbo's most famous Drum Tower. Drum Tower is another business card of Ningbo, a landmark existence.
Ningbo Drum Tower was built in the Tang Dynasty. It was originally the south gate of the Tang and Song dynasties. It has a history of more than 1100 years. As for why Ningbo Drum Tower looks like a combination of Chinese and Western countries, the reason is that in 19th Republic of China, the Fire Fighting Federation built a cement and steel square observatory and alarm tower in the middle of the three-story wooden structure of the Drum Tower, and set up a standard clock with four sides. It is convenient for citizens to keep time and report fire alarms. In this way, Ningbo Drum Tower has become the most peculiar Drum Tower in China!
