October 1, 2021. Take your children to visit Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park in Songjiang District, Shanghai.

The Guangfulin Cultural Site is the archaeological site with the largest excavation scale and the richest unearthed cultural relics in Shanghai over the years. It is known as the root of Shanghai culture. In 1958, local villagers discovered the Guangfulin ancient cultural sites when opening the river. Later, the archaeological department conducted four archaeological excavations and unearthed 1 Songze cultural stove, 32 Liangzhu cultural tombs, and 8 Guangfulin cultural tombs.

The discovery of the Guangfulin site is of special significance to Shanghai. It not only obtained the archaeological name of "Guangfulin Culture", added a series of ancient cultural civilizations in Shanghai, and added a cultural site in the late Neolithic period to the Taihu Lake area. It fills the gap in the cultural pedigree of the late Neolithic period in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. At the same time, it is proved that the earliest towns in Shanghai were not the Tang Dynasty as recorded in the literature, but the Han Dynasty with a history of more than 2000 years.

As early as 5000 years ago, ancestors worked hard in the Guangfulin area. From the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to the Han Dynasty, Guangfulin became a large-scale settlement or city. "The slanting moon did not fall on the mountains, but the city in Yanzhong was heard." During the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Guangfulin was densely populated and merchants gathered due to the market. The Guangfulin Ancient Cultural Site was approved and announced by the State Council in May 2013 as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Enter the park from Zhuque Gate of Guangfulin Ruins Park and come to the Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall on the shores of Guangfulin Lake.

This group of buildings consisting of three large roofs and more than a dozen small roofs seems to be floating on the water, like a poem.

There is only a roof on the water. Does it imply the profound heritage of Shanghai's cultural roots? Enter the exhibition hall and enter the exhibition hall set up underwater. Through archaeological memories, ancestors 'activities, and urban prosperity, you can experience and understand the historical development of Songjiang and even Shanghai in the time tunnel.

After leaving the Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall, we came to the Wood Art Exhibition Hall. The wood carving parts of ancient Hui-style residential buildings collected and displayed in the museum are amazing. The theme of wood carving is taken from historical stories, opera characters and auspicious patterns, reflecting the moral of Confucianism and representing the peak level of Jiangnan wood carving during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

After eating a bowl of plain noodles for lunch at the renovated Zhiye Zen Temple in Guangfulin Ruins Park, we came to the Fulin Tower on the east side of the Zen Temple. Under this newly built triple eaves tower imitating the architectural style of the late Tang Dynasty is the Ancient Pottery Art Museum.

The museum displays ancient pottery from different periods, including Tang Dynasty pottery art.

Leave the Ancient Pottery Art Museum and go to the Guangfulin Cultural Site Archaeological Research Exhibition Hall. Pass the rice field and red ling pond titled "Impression of Qianmo". Rice fields are already being purchased and rice-cutting experience activities are being held. One of the organizers is Zhiye Zen Temple. These rice fields seem to be the Zen rice fields of Zhiye Zen Temple.

There are two farmers in Hongling Pond picking water chestnuts. Picking red water chestnuts was originally a beautiful picture of the water town.

Some of the cultural relics unearthed at the Guangfulin Cultural Site are displayed in the Archaeological Research Exhibition Hall of Guangfulin Cultural Site. There are archaeological sites under the glass floor in two areas in the museum. I wonder if they are imitation scenes or real works?

Leave the Guangfulin Cultural Site Archaeological Research Exhibition Hall, head south all the way, passing through the Guangfulin Site Core Reserve.

There should be rich ancient relics underground here, which is a place worth stopping, gazing and silently pondering.

Come to an antique building complex in the west of the ruins park. There are new buildings such as Guandi Temple, Kuixing Pavilion, Chenghuang Temple, Huangting Pavilion, Shuxiang Building, etc., as well as Zhu Lan and painted buildings, and the picture feels very good.

Climb the Yuci Bridge, and the west of the bridge is Guangfulin Country Park.

Standing in front of the Bridge Pavilion and watching the scenery on both sides of the Chenshantang site in Guangfulin, the tranquility of thinking about the past arises spontaneously.

Back to the bank of Guangfulin Lake, we will come to the Chen Zilong Memorial Hall located on the small island in the lake.

On the north side of the Chen Zilong Memorial Hall is Chen Zilong's Tomb. This is a historical relic site. In September 1987, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai City.

Chen Zilong (1608-1647), known as Wozi and Dazun, was born in Huating County, Songjiang Prefecture (now Songjiang District, Shanghai City). At the end of the Ming Dynasty, leaders of Fushe and Jihe were called "Chen Xia" by the world together with Xia Yunyi. Chen Zilong was a famous litterateur in the late Ming Dynasty and was recognized as the top poet in the Ming Dynasty. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, outstanding people from the two societies persisted in resisting the Qing Dynasty and successively followed their righteousness and became virtuous. In the fourth year of Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1647), Chen Zilong was arrested. On May 13, while the Qing army was escorting him to Nanjing, Chen Zilong took advantage of the guard and threw him into Guputang, the first bridge in Yunjian. He was only 40 years old. Chen Zilong's disciples took the risk to find his body, and after several twists and turns, they were buried in Chen's ancestral tomb in Guangfulin Village. In the 41st year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1776), the Qing court posthumously named Chen Zilong "Zhongyu". In the fifty-third year of Qianlong (1788), the "Tomb Field Stele" was erected. The stele pavilion was built in the fifty-ninth year of Qianlong (1794).

Chen's tomb later fell into disrepair, with broken monuments and weeds, and a deserted tomb. Renovated in 1987, the restored Chen Zilong Tomb has a three-hole brick roof, facing east to west. In front of the tomb stands the original tombstone from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, which is 2 meters high.

On the south side of the tomb platform is the original stone of the "Tomb Field Stele" during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, but most of the writing is blurred.

Walking on the Qiangong Plank Road and the Taufu Bridge on Guangfulin Lake and overlooking, the Chen Tomb and Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall emerge above the smoke waves in the sunset, giving a unique feeling of vastness.

Bathed in the afterglow of the sunset, I arrived at Guspin Square. Bone needles were tools used by ancestors to weave clothes, quilts and fishing nets, and have symbolic significance.

On the north side of Guzhen Square is the core protection area of the Guangfulin Site, and on the west side is Tianniu Pond under Tianniu Slope, with a book-drying platform beside the pond. Legend has it that there was originally a smooth book-drying stone on the stage, as big as an Eight Immortals table, with blood meridians and meridians. The children playing on the stone will either be civil officials or generals in the future. Later, the stone will sink to the bottom of Dujiabang, leaving the book-drying table empty here.

The afterglow of the setting sun shines on Tianniutang, half of the pond rustled and half of the pond red and yellow. This is the farewell picture that Guangfulin left me with a unique charm. Everything is in the sunset.
