Since it was inconvenient to leave the province during the epidemic, we chose to ride to some ancient towns, museums, and heritage parks in Shanghai's suburbs around the Spring Festival to gain a deeper understanding of Shanghai's port opening history, history and culture.
Trip 1: City--Sijing Town--Zhujing Town--Luxiang Town--Langxia Town--Tinglin Town--Chedun Town
Distance: About 130 kilometers round trip (two days)
Highlights: Sijing Ancient Town, Donglin Ancient Temple, Tibetan Ancient Temple, Dongchan Ancient Temple, Langxia Ancient Town, Chedun Film and Television Park
Donglin Temple was built in the first year (1308 AD). It was originally named Guanyin Hall and later renamed Donglin Zen Temple. After more than 700 years of historical vicissitudes, it was expanded into a magnificent, magnificent and majestic Buddhist temple in 2007. Personally, I think it is a more distinctive Zen temple in Shanghai.
There are three projects in the temple that have set the Guinness record in the great world, namely, the indoor statue of Guanyin, the statue of a boy who is good at wealth, and the Buddhist tradition.
Five blessings in the Year of the Ox
Shanghai Dizang Ancient Temple, the only ashram in Shanghai that worships Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, has a history of more than 370 years. In 1997, it was initiated by Master Xing Xiu, former president of the Songjiang Buddhist Association, to create the first Buddhist nursing home in Shanghai City based on the ancient nunnery, named "Huacheng Nursing Home."
Dongchan Ancient Temple is located in Dongmen Village, Chedun Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai, at the urban-rural junction of east Songjiang Town. The ancient temple is surrounded by yellow walls and is very quiet.
It was once one of the "Eight Temple Incentives" in Songjiang City.
The eight major temples are Puzhao Temple, Chaoguo Temple, Guanghua Temple, Longmen Temple, Dongchan Temple, Xichan Temple, Nanchan Temple, and Hebei Temple.
Trip 2: City--Huajing Town--Xujing Town--Zhaoxiang Town--Chonggu Town
Distance: About 60 kilometers round trip
Highlights: Outlets, Fuquan Mountain Ruins, Fahui Nunnery, Panlong Nunnery
The Fuquan Mountain Site is located in the center of Chonggu Town, Qingpu District. The name "mountain" means "bag". The site is known as a "mountain", but it is actually a small earthen mound. It is a Gaotai cemetery with a length of 94 meters, a width of 74 meters and a height of 7.5 meters. More than 150 tombs from different historical periods have been excavated and discovered, completely retaining the cultural heritage of 6000 years.
The most distinctive one is Tomb No. 139, where martyrdom occurred and people died. In the ancient tomb, there is a male buried with straight limbs and a young female buried with bent limbs. The women were tied to the funeral. Many stone tools such as stone axes used for burial, as well as a large pottery jar, were also unearthed in the tomb.
It retains the superimposed cultural relics of various periods since 6000 years, and contains rich remains of the Majiabang culture, Songze culture, Liangzhu culture and the Warring States period from the Neolithic Age. The archaeological community unanimously praised it as the "Earthen Pyramid of the Orient","Historical Chronology of Ancient Shanghai","Birthplace of Shanghai", etc.
Fahui Nunnery is located in the north city of Chonggu Town, on the east bank of Tongbotang, and on the north side of Miaojing Bridge. It is said that it is the lower house of Qinglong Temple. It has ten original corridors and covers an area of more than ten acres. There are ten nuns, and there are more incense. In the first year of publicity (1909), Lu Zhou and others in Chonggu Town initiated a tomb donation, so they converted the grass nunnery into ten tiled houses, adding Buddha statues, and thus regained its scale.
Panlong Nunnery is a temple with a long history. Panlong Nunnery is formed by the merger of two temples: "Panlong Temple" or "Pumen Temple" and Shengtang. The Grand Temple is located in the north of Panlong Village, and the Shengtang is located in the south of the village. Since the 1990s, Panlong Nunnery resumed religious activities, and later gradually rebuilt the main hall, auxiliary hall and ancillary buildings.
Trip 3: City--Huajing Town--Xujing Town--Zhaoxiang Town--Qingpu Town
Distance: About 60 kilometers round trip
Highlights: Qingpu Museum, Songze Site
The Qingpu Museum mainly displays the development process of the Qingpu area, from the cultural relics of the Liangzhu Cultural Site of ancient humans in Shanghai to the evolution process of ancient and modern times. There are nearly 10,000 pieces in the collection, and ceramics are the most exhibited.
In the museum, the scene of an ancient dock was also restored, which was very shocking. There were ships, docks, and many shops from that time. On the second floor, there are many models of Qingpu stone bridges, as well as many pictures explaining the structure and principle of bridges in different periods, which is eye-opening.
An ordinary village located in Songze Village, Qingpu, is known as the "source of Shanghai." The earliest life footprints of Shanghai ancestors started here. Songze culture is named after it. The main exhibition hall of the Songze Ruins Museum consists of "Discovering Songze Ruins","Entering Songze Society" and "Inheriting Songze Heritage". It consists of three parts: "
Schedule 4: City--Pujiang Town--Hangtou Town--Huinan Town
Distance: About 80 kilometers round trip
Highlights: West Bank Xindukou, Xinchang Ancient Town, Zhaojialou
The New Ferry on the West Bank-The Tourist Distribution Center (the "Port Ferry" of the Sangang Line) is called by netizens as the "most beautiful ferry" and the "spaceship terminal with runway". As the only public facility on both sides of the Huangpu River that integrates a ferry station, cruise ship terminal and tourist services, it not only re-establishes a banner for the shipping quality of the Huangpu River, but also provides a template for how to maximize the integration of landscape, publicity and functionality for ferries.
If you ride from the West Bank Art Museum, you will arrive at the "Port Ferry" 4 kilometers away in about 20 minutes. You can take the ferry to Sanlin on the other side. You can taste authentic food in Sanlin Old Street, and go to the country park. A spring encounter and end the day's "wandering tour in the city" in the sunset provides another choice for new life on the West Bank.
Encountering an elderly cycling team on the ferry
The Third Era Erpin Square was built for Zhu Guosheng, a scholar of the Wanli Dynasty and a minister of Taichang Temple in the Ming Dynasty, his ancestors Zhu Tang and his father Zhu Si. The three doors and two eaves of the archway are magnificent, and three generations of ancestors and grandchildren have all been officials to the second grade, so it is called the "Third Era Erpin Square" to highlight the prominent status of the Zhu family. The archway is spectacular and exquisite, with lifelike characters, ornaments, chariots, horses, flowers and birds. It is known as the "No. 1 archway in Jiangnan".
The first half of the town is a tourist area, which is very similar to the snack street in an ordinary ancient town. The second half is ordinary residential buildings. Most of the buildings are in the shape of the Republic of China, and the painted towers and carved beams are very interesting.
Xinchang Ancient Town is not big. A long and narrow old street, several water alleys and small alleys basically become the entire ancient town.
Zhaojialou in Pujiang Town is a newly built ancient town. It is said to be newly built because everywhere you go are newly built archways, pavilions, misty rain corridors, new bridges, and new shops. However, it has the ruins of Ligentang, Ningjiantang, and Zixuntang, as well as historical celebrities such as Qin Yubo and Ye Zongxing. All of these show people that this is an ancient town with a profound history.
Schedule 5: City-Baoshan
Distance: About 80 kilometers round trip
Highlights: Gongqing Forest Park, Baoshan Linjiang Park, Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall
Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park (Baoshan Linjiang Park) and Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall have formed a model of "integrating museum and garden" and "integrating culture and green".
The memorial hall displays the historical facts of the two major battles in Shanghai, the "January 28th" and "August 13th" War of Resistance against Shanghai and the 14-year War of Resistance against Japan by the Shanghai people. The memorial hall is located on the Yangtze River and close to Wusongkou. It was once the former site of the former county seat of Baoshan County and the main battlefield of the two Songhu Anti-Japanese War.
The above records five cycling activities in Shanghai's countryside, Shanghai, root-seeking, and history. Culture... "Overwhelmed" is my biggest feeling about these trips. All the sleepiness of getting up early and the hard work of riding are swept away with the joy.
Riding is actually quite fun!
