The Shanghai Astronomical Museum was also the former Sheshan Observatory. The Sheshan Observatory was founded in 1900 and has a history of 100 years. The buildings here are French-style, which is also very suitable for walking around, taking photos and checking in.

Across the wall from the Shanghai Astronomical Museum is the Sheshan Catholic Church. However, you cannot enter the Catholic Church from the Observatory. You need to return to the entrance of the Observatory and enter from another road.

The Catholic Church does not require tickets and is free to visit. Photos and loud noises are not allowed in the church.

Sheshan Catholic Church was also known as the "First Cathedral in the Far East". The entire building is Gothic and it has also been renovated. You can check in and take photos outside the church.

From the top of Sheshan Mountain, down the mountain road. If you don't want to go back, you can walk in the direction of the Shanghai Earthquake Science Museum like us. Flowers along the road are also in full bloom. This route is relatively small and relatively quieter.

The Shanghai Earthquake Science Museum is at the foot of the mountain, not far from Jiaoyou Gate. This is the national science education base.

More than 20 kinds of geomagnetic and seismic observation instruments with a history of more than a century and historical records on earthquakes are displayed in the Science Museum.

For natural phenomena such as earthquakes, children who are interested can visit here. The Earthquake Science Museum does not require tickets and is free to visit.

Drones cannot be released in the entire Sheshan Scenic Area, and there are obvious warnings at the entrance of the scenic area. In addition, if you have limited play time and lack of physical strength, it is recommended to only climb Xishe Mountain. There is a parking lot here at the North Gate of Xishe Mountain, and it takes a 5-minute walk to the entrance of the scenic spot.

After coming out of the scenic area, of course, you have to find food to replenish your strength. Songjiang has many specialty delicacies. Those restaurants are only open in Songjiang District, so you must go and try Songjiang rice, braised pork, rice dumplings, etc.

Day2: Undiminished enthusiasm, full physical strength
The next day, full of energy and recovering their strength, the children clamored for climbing the mountain to have fun, but their desire was still unfinished. So we temporarily found a small Kunshan.

Xiaokunshan Scenic Area is about 15 minutes 'drive from Sheshan Scenic Area. Admission to Xiaokunshan Scenic Area is 6 yuan/person.

This is the hometown of the famous Western Jin Dynasty writers Lu Ji and Lu Yun. These two men were also the grandchildren of Lu Xun, a famous soldier of Wu who burned the fire during the Three Kingdoms period.
