At the end of 2021, Hilton Shanghai Fengxian Baoneng opened wonderfully, officially opening the Hilton Group's southward journey in Shanghai.

Before entering the hotel, there are lush pastoral scenery on both sides. This is Shenlong Ecological Park, a natural oxygen bar in southern Shanghai. The amount of air dust falling is only one-tenth of that in the urban area. Hilton Shanghai Fengxian Baoneng Hotel is wrapped in this greenery. The 75,000-square-meter garden brings vitality to the hotel. Such a luxurious ecological environment is very rare in the entire Shanghai hotel circle.

The car drove up the gentle slope and arrived at the drop-off area. Above a pool in the back, there lies a sculpture that looks like the "Mobius Ring", which symbolizes the endless nature and is also a natural reflection of the hotel's location.

Walking through the lobby, I came to my favorite outdoor space in the lobby bar. At that moment, I had the illusion of being in a seaside resort hotel in Southeast Asia.

Sitting in the sunken sitting area in the mirror pool, there is an inner lake and outdoor swimming pool half surrounded by the two-wing guest rooms nearby, and in the distance is the verdant wedding lawn and the high-spirited greenery of the ecological park.

At this moment, is there anything more wonderful than having a "Nest You Come" afternoon tea and enjoying the afternoon with the warm winter sun?

The wood-colored decorative columns on the outside of the stairs surround the main building, implying that people who come here for vacation can break through the cement forest and enjoy the beauty brought by nature. And I was even more fascinated by the fiery sunset here when the sun set in the west.

In my spare time after staying at the hotel, I certainly suggest that everyone go for a walk in the garden of the hotel. The rivers are dotted with traffic, the occasional flocks of wild ducks swimming past, and the fragrance of grass floating in the air are all reasons why I like this place.

Adjacent to the hotel garden is my favorite outdoor swimming pool. This summer will definitely become a hit!

Although it is no longer possible to go into the water this season, just walking by the pool and imagining the warm days after the beginning of the New Year makes me feel very satisfied.

In order to make up for the regret that it cannot go outdoors in winter, the hotel also built an indoor heated swimming pool next to the lake.

The swimming pool has a suitable temperature, is spacious and pleasant, has natural lighting and excellent scenery. It is also equipped with facilities such as a children's pool and a massage pool.

The gym on the side is equipped with a full fitness facility and a separate yoga studio from Precor, which is enough to meet daily fitness needs.

2. The beauty of culture

CULTURAL WONDER

Walking in the space of the hotel, I can strongly feel that this group of modern buildings contains a large number of traditional Chinese art and cultural elements. Blink Design Group, a well-known design company in Singapore (their last blockbuster opening project for Hilton Group is the first LXR hotel in the Asia-Pacific region, Kyoto ROKU), uses their way to explain the story of "Ziyou Lecture."

Ziyou, whose real name was Yan Yan, was a well-known disciple of Confucius. He was known as the "Master of the South" and vigorously promoted etiquette and music education. The place in the country that most respects Ziyou is Shanghai's Fengxian District. The word Fengxian is to commemorate the sages who have devoted their lives to spreading learning and promoting ceremonies, that is,"respecting sages". Legend has it that in 444 BC, Ziyou opened a school hall on the coast of the East China Sea, so that the sound of etiquette and music could be heard everywhere in the sea corner. Today, this Hilton Hotel located in Fengxian is also inspired by etiquette and music to reproduce the beauty of culture more than 2,000 years ago.

The most eye-catching design in the entire hotel is the decorative sculpture in the center of the "nest" of the lobby bar.

There are hundreds of birds above and homing below, which means that this is the guests 'home away from home.

The pattern on the metal screen in the lobby bar comes from the abstract shape of the bird's nest that changes all year round, further strengthening the concept of "nest" and home.

The 401 guest rooms distributed on the two wings incorporate the details of "Ziyou Lecture" with light brushstrokes that flow of water.

Rooms starting from 55 square meters are very spacious and have a calm texture and no lack of tension.

With low-key wood color, gray and light brown as the main tone, coupled with large landscape meticulous paintings and various contrasting metal brackets, the tranquil Chinese classical aesthetics and contemporary decorative art.

The contrasting colors of the pillow and the carpet give the guest room a hint of playfulness. There is also one of the few free mini-bars in the Hilton Hotel in the room. I saw my childhood favorite Mai Lisu and the local specialty craft brew "Wufang Youtao".

Glass sliding doors and screens with guqin as elements organically separate the bathroom space, a bathtub separates the bedroom, and a toilet that is completely independent of the bathroom. It adds a sense of romance and emphasizes functionality.

All rooms are equipped with spacious balcony with views, looking at the lake, forest, and setting sun in the distance. It is extremely comfortable to just sit here and stare blankly.

If you choose a suite, you will undoubtedly have a more spacious indoor space. The deep soaking bathtub placed in the center of the bathroom gives a full feeling of vacation.

The living room with a separate dining area is also more suitable for family guests.

The most special room type of the hotel is the room with an outdoor pulse pool. As a very rare room type in hotels in Shanghai, it is destined to become a hit once it is opened! (The equipment is currently in final debugging and is expected to open after the Spring Festival)

There are three restaurants and a lobby bar in the hotel. I especially like their names. The homophonic "fried rice and sugar" arranged together reminds me of local snacks in Shanghai. They are fond memories of childhood and may also be the hotel. A small surprise for guests.

The lobby bar "Nest" firmly captured me with its design. Whether it is the indoor space full of lines and visual impact, or the outdoor dining area with infinitely beautiful scenery, it gives this hotel great vacation fun.

Full-day coffee, tea and snacks, as well as the "Nest You Come" afternoon tea that I have to try, are all reasons why I am obsessed with this place.

At night, this place turns into a "golden bar" with full character. There are more than 60 types of gin from various categories around the world, as well as nearly a hundred types of tonic waters, which can be combined into unlimited possibilities of gin and tonic.

What's more special is that the hotel's "Golden" Classic and "Nest" Flowing Gold Cocktail List, paired with tonic water, soda and spice accessories, can be adjusted according to guests 'preferences, which means that every guest can taste their own gin and tonic, but all they have to do is just pick out the one they like from the wine list and hand the rest to the bartender!

The all-day restaurant "Mi" has a transparent and elegant environment. It has column lights and chandeliers composed of vertical arches and rolling shed elements drawn from the Confucian Temple building, and has an elegant temperament.

It offers full-day Chinese and Western dining and buffet dinner on weekends. Breakfast is also enjoyed here. During the current opening period, we adopt a la carte format on weekdays, and the products are quite amazing. Our authentic cabbage and yellow croaker noodles are unique in terms of quality and taste, and even surpass many professional noodle restaurants.

You can also taste the well-known "Four King Kong" at breakfast in Shanghai here. The freshly made fried dough sticks made by the chef are soft and fluffy, and dipping them in the matching soy sauce is the most local way to eat them. The rice cake, which I had not seen for a long time, also appeared in surprise, and even retained its childhood flavor.

The Chinese restaurant "Tang" interprets Tang style in a modern way, and the ubiquitous maple leaf pattern implicitly conforms to the meaning of "Feng" virtuous people.

Using local characteristics and seasonal ingredients, in the cooking techniques of classic local dishes, we integrate the essence of Cantonese cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine and other essences, and also incorporate Fengxian local tastes to form a unique Chinese food. For example, the most important ingredient in this winter: mutton, transformed into a Fengxian mutton winter ginseng pot in the "Tang". The braising method of our gang is the most delicious.

Other signature dishes include shredded fish, steeped snails in black vinegar and spicy sauce, marinated shrimp and dried tofu, innovative stewed old duck with citronella, and even the finishing ice flower fresh meat pot stickers, which make people feel endless aftertaste.

In my opinion, the specialty restaurant "Qi" should be regarded as a late-night canteen. It has an innate sense of intimacy. It is a lot of fun for three or five friends to sit around here.

I like to sit in the bar area and be able to watch up close by the chefs preparing fresh ingredients in front of us.

At this moment, whether it is a bowl of authentic porpoise bone ramen, a fresh sashimi, or a string of tender and smooth roasted birds, it is enough to make me feel warm. But what impressed me the most was the freshly roasted eel rice, which was comparable to many eel food specialty shops and was amazing!

The meal was eaten from daylight until dark. At night, in the courtyard next to the restaurant, an artistic abstract installation art lit up. The light beads circulated and lived endlessly, as if to draw a complete conclusion to this delicious meal.
