The 43-day 10th Flower Expo will be held from May 21 to July 2, 2021 in the Dongping National Forest Park area of Chongming District, Shanghai City. After the closure on July 2, in order to meet the needs of citizens for parent-child travel and leisure vacations during the summer vacation, after partial adjustments, it will continue to be opened to the public in the form of a Huabo Cultural Park, and the park will be successfully closed on August 31. We arrived here on August 23 before the park closed. We didn't plan to visit the Huabo Cultural Park. A friend sent us a link, which probably read: In order to allow more citizens to enjoy the ecological beauty of Huabo, Chongming District decided to provide tourists staying in Chongming hotels, B & Bs, and farmhouses with the benefits of free visits to the Huabo Cultural Park. So, the friends organized a team of 22 people and went to Chongming Island to participate in a three-day and two-night farmhouse. One of the contents is to visit the Huabo Cultural Park for free.

On the cloudy day of the 24th, after breakfast in the morning, I drove from the farmhouse to Huabo Cultural Park. All parking lots were closed. Only one parking lot in North Park P1 was open. Through the parking lot, I entered the North Park. What caught my eye was the main entrance building. It looks like two big trees with luxuriant branches and two blooming magnolia flowers. The gate of the building is 19.21 meters high and 100 meters wide, symbolizing the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Since many venues were closed, we chose the following tour routes: First stop: Century Pavilion Second stop: Fuxing Pavilion Third stop: Domestic exhibition areas, including Shanghai Garden, Beijing Garden, Zhejiang Garden, Jiangsu Garden, Anhui Garden, Jilin Garden, Yunnan Garden, Henan Garden, Sichuan Garden, Xizang Garden, Hong Kong Garden, Taiwan Garden, etc.

The Great Butterfly Century Pavilion will definitely not be missed. With its unique colorful butterfly shape, the Century Pavilion has become the most popular "check-in place" in the Flower Expo Park. There are some east and west halls in the Century Museum. As a plant theme hall, the west hall is divided into two parts: an indoor exhibition hall and an outdoor open-air exhibition hall. The Century Pavilion is covered by 680,000 flowers and is the largest roof garden in the country. The roof garden has been closed and is no longer allowed to go up on its wings.

The magnificent Fuxing Hall is constructed with Chinese classical sloping roofs and colonnades. The cascading sloping roofs symbolize the magnificent and great journey of the road to rejuvenation.

The Fuxing Pavilion is an indoor exhibition area of various provinces, autonomous regions, cities and branches of the China Flower Association. A1 and B1 are still open. We chose the B1 exhibition area to visit because it is home to three popular indoor venues in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. As a Shanghai tourist, you must visit the Shanghai Pavilion.

With the theme of "Haishang Flower City", the Shanghai Pavilion creates an urban garden under the magnolia flowers through three large-scale landscapes with the city flower as elements.

"Colorful" magnolia-themed streamer arches, magnolia-flower carvings and magnolia-petal decorative structures.

In the Shanghai Exhibition Hall, there are 7 exhibition areas, including potted flower display area and cut flower display area, with a total of more than 600 exhibits on display, which is the largest number of exhibits in the Shanghai Indoor Exhibition Park of any previous Flower Expo.

Next door is the Jiangsu Pavilion. The main entrance of the exhibition area is spacious and magnificent. The bright and huge title of "Jiangsu" and the theme of "Jasmine Blooms Chinese Dream" are powerful and profound, which is particularly eye-catching.

The layout in the museum has a strong style of the times and Jiangnan ecological characteristics.

With auspicious clouds as the atmosphere, decorated with scattered layout such as flower arrangements, potted plants, bonsai, etc., and with Jiangsu's famous flower Jasmine as the top lining, it renders Jiangsu's style of the times.

The scenery of the Zhejiang Pavilion has the theme of "A Century of Red Boat, Flowers Blooming in Zhejiang" and the century-old struggle of the founding of the Party as the main line. It perfectly integrates design elements such as red boats, green bamboo, and ecological houses with flower and gardening exhibits.

Through the four chapters of "Dream Back to South Lake","Green Water Mountain","Beautiful Home" and "Happy Life", Zhejiang's new products and new technological achievements of flower and gardening are displayed.

Coming out of the Fuxing Pavilion, we came to the domestic exhibition area. This is an open-air exhibition area, with exhibition halls from various provinces and cities distributed on both sides of the road.

The first thing I saw was the Shanghai Garden. The Shanghai Garden was named "Yuanmeng Garden", which means that Shanghai is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China, the origin of the original intention, and one of the places where the Chinese Dream was realized, which profoundly interpreted the theme of the Expo.

The red Shikumen elements come into view."Yuanmeng Garden" has four major characteristics: the interweaving of tradition and modernity, rich varieties of new and excellent plants, superb construction techniques, and fine gardening maintenance.

In the order of verandas, paths, curved bridges, etc., we pass through the rich aquatic plant exhibition area and the colorful and natural underforest flower belt area to create an exhibition park that takes into account the rich and changeable landscapes and spiritual experience.

There is a wooden archway erected at the entrance of the Beijing Garden with the words "Beijing Garden" written on it. The red walls inside are very eye-catching, which makes people easily think of Beijing's garden architecture.

The flowers in the park are mainly composed of four traditional flowers: rose, chrysanthemum, peony, and lotus flowers. They are based on the landscape pattern and the old city frame. The ancient architectural style of the Red Wall of the Forbidden City is very Beijing-style and is also a good place to take photos and check in.

The theme of Tianjin Garden is "Flowers Blooming Tianjin Gate". Through interactive scientific and technological flower sketches, Yangliuqing doll sculptures and various flower planting, it fully demonstrates the profound cultural heritage of Tianjin over a century of history.

The theme of Jiangsu Garden is "Six Fun Flowers". The park mainly displays the beauty of classical gardens, small bridges and flowing water, pavilions and pavilions, and exquisite greening combinations.

Jiangsu Garden is the only garden in the venue that uses powder bricks and black tiles to enclose all around. This can also reflect the enclosed and tranquil characteristics of Jiangnan classical gardens.
