The golden monkey is a national treasure in my country. The Sichuan golden monkey has golden fur all over its body, as if it is wearing a "golden armor". It is particularly dazzling in the sun. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the Monkey King.

There are three species of golden monkeys in my country, namely Sichuan golden monkey, Guizhou golden monkey and Yunnan golden monkey. They are all specialty species of my country and national Class I protected animals. They are equally famous as giant pandas and are both "national treasure" animals. They are colorful in coat color, unique in shape, elegant in movements, and gentle in temperament. They are deeply loved by people.

The park has the largest captive population of golden monkeys in China. More than 50 Sichuan golden monkeys have become three ethnic groups. They recuperate here and have a family-style stocking model, attracting many animal experts and scholars from home and abroad.

The golden monkey outdoor activity area is about 1000 square meters in size and is built along the water. It is one of the largest animal activity areas on the "Water Discovery" coastline. It is connected to a small floating island with a unique wooden bridge for monkeys to play around.

The giant panda, known as the "living fossil", is a national treasure animal in my country. The giant panda is one of people's favorite wild animals, with a gentle temperament, charming appearance and funny actions.

Hippos are the largest omnivorous mammal among freshwater species. They are huge, with a body length of 4 meters, a shoulder height of 1.5 meters, and a weight of 3 tons.

The body is thick and round, the limbs are short, the feet have 4 toes, the head is huge, the eyes and ears are small, the mouth is particularly large, the tail is small, the lower canine teeth are huge, 50-60 cm long, weighs 2.5 kg, the skin is thick, about 40-50 mm, except for sparse hair on the snout, tail, and ears, the skin of the whole body is exposed and purple-brown. The stomach is three compartments, not ruminating.

Hippos have a thick head and a particularly large mouth. I was shocked when the hippo opened its mouth when the hippo fed it to the Shanghai Wildlife Park. Very huge.

Almost all in the water during the day, eating water and grass, and eating more than 100 kilograms a day. When water and grass are scarce, they go ashore at night to forage for plants or crops; they are gentle, afraid of cold and warm, good at swimming, and can sneak along the river bottom for 5 to 10 minutes.

During the National Day holiday, the newborn baby hippo and the "second generation of monkeys" will appear at the Shanghai Wildlife Park and have been in the water all the time.
