In March, spring is warm and flowers bloom, and it is the annual flower viewing season. In this beautiful season, we made a special trip to Wuxi, Jiangsu Province to admire the famous Wuxi cherry blossoms and enjoy the romantic visual feast. Going green and looking for fragrance, live up to the spring light.

This journey runs from March 18 to 21, and takes only 4 days. The round-trip journey is about 1 and a half days. The actual stay and play time in Wuxi is only about 2 and a half days. However, thanks to the tight and orderly schedule, in addition to focusing on visiting Taihu Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, which is known as "one of the three largest cherry viewing resorts in the world" and Nianhua Bay, a newly promoted cherry viewing resort, we also visited Qingmingqiao Ancient Canal, Huixi Park, Huishan Ancient Town, Xue Fucheng's former residence, Qian Zhongshu's former residence, Gu Yuxiu Memorial Hall and other scenic spots. Although the time was short, the harvest was quite fruitful; it not only broadened the horizons, but also pleased the body and mind. Another short, fast and happy journey.

The first stop is Qingmingqiao Ancient Canal Scenic Area (D1 March 18)

I flew to Wuxi from Shantou and checked into the hotel at 5 p.m. At noon, I didn't have time to eat because I had a plane, so I quickly found a restaurant with local characteristics to fill my stomach first. Then, not far from walking, I came to the Qingmingqiao Ancient Canal Scenic Area for a tour.

The Qingmingqiao Ancient Canal Scenic Area is located in the center of Wuxi City. Antique water town buildings and old houses from the Ming and Qing Dynasties form a block. There are attractions to visit, as well as bars, restaurants, Ministores, etc. This is a typical scenery of Jiangnan water town. Both sides of the canal retain the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Today is Saturday, and the scenic spots on the weekend are crowded with tourists and bustling. When night fell, the old houses with pink walls and black tiles beside the ancient canal lit up with lights. A string of red lanterns were reflected in the canal. The antique buildings on both sides of the river were particularly beautiful under the light, attracting many tourists to stop and watch.

1. The scenery in the Qingmingqiao Ancient Canal Scenic Area at night is better than during the day. You can arrive in the afternoon or evening, first take a look at the daytime scenery, and then enjoy the beautiful night view.

2. There are a lot of tourists during holidays, especially in Nanchan Temple Commercial Street and Qingming Bridge areas. It is very crowded and lively. If you choose to travel by boat, it will be more leisure and interesting.

Second stop Nianhua Bay (D2 March 19)

Nianhua Bay is located to the west of Lingshan Shengjing, far away from the urban area. The style of the town is antique. The beige and white characteristic buildings are covered with large blue slopes. The doors, windows and pillars are mostly made of wood. The town is dotted with small bridges, flowing water and small garden scenery. It is particularly suitable for a vacation here. A B & B town for self-cultivation. Walking into Nianhua Bay is like entering a paradise. Everything here is a dream and real. There are many small attractions and the "one flower, one world" Xiangyuehua Street, there are small shops selling small handicrafts that will make you dizzying and lingering.

In spring, there are really many and beautiful flowers and plants such as cherry blossoms here, and the scenic spot is decorated gracefully and beautiful. The scenic area comes and goes, presenting a peaceful atmosphere. We started playing from around 9 a.m. and didn't leave until 4 p.m.. It took nearly 7 hours to go around in a big circle. Here, the air is fresh, the environment is beautiful, and everything makes people feel relaxed, happy and very comfortable.

1. Although the cherry blossoms in Nianhua Bay are not as famous as Yuantouzhu, there are also many cherry blossoms in it, which are set off against the scenery of small bridges and flowing water, pastoral scenery and various buildings. The scenery is very beautiful and eye-catching, and it is also a good place to enjoy cherry blossoms.

2. Lingshan Scenic Area adjacent to Nianhua Bay is also a famous attraction in Wuxi. You can spend more time visiting it together.

3. There are various flavors of restaurants in the town. It is very convenient to sit down to eat and drink when you are tired.

The third stop is Xihui Park and Huishan Ancient Town (D2 March 19)

After leaving Nianhua Bay, we called for a drop and rushed to Huishan Ancient Town, but we were pulled to the gate of Xihui Park. We made a mistake and entered the park and walked straight in. We reached the other end of Huishan Ancient Town.

Xihui Park (Xihui Scenic Area) is a national key park, also known as Xihui Scenic Area. It is a national key scenic spot; Huishan Ancient Town Scenic Area has many cultural relics and historic sites, excellent mountains, rivers and forests. There are more than 200 scenic spots, including ancient streets, ancient gardens, ancient temples, ancient springs, ancient academies, ancient poetry clubs, ancient ancestral halls and other traditional cultural resources, spanning thousands of years of history. There are scenic spots in the park such as the famous Jichang Garden and the Second Spring in the World, which gave birth to the famous erhu song "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon".

1. Huishan Ancient Town itself is free, but you need to buy tickets to enter Xihui Park and Huishan Temple (which contain attractions such as Jichang Garden and the Second Spring of the World). If you have enough time, you can visit them all, and just stroll around the ancient town. It is also very good.

2. Xihui Scenic Area includes Huishan Historical and Cultural District, Huishan Ancestral Hall Group, Huishan Ancient Town and Xihui Park. They are connected together and are very convenient to visit together.

The fourth stop is Taihu Yuantouzhu Scenic Area (D3 March 20)

Yuantouzhu is located on a peninsula in the northern part of Taihu Lake. It is named after a floating turtle with its head raised. Yuantouzhu is surrounded by water on three sides. It has not only the natural beauty of long mountains and broad waters, and the shadow of sails, but also the pastoral scenery of the mountainous countryside with small bridges and flowing water. It is the most beautiful place in Taihu Lake. Here, you can visit the huge garden groups, experience the vast expanse of Taihu Lake by boat, climb the fairy island of Taihu Lake to explore the mysterious scenery, or come here in spring to enjoy the cherry blossoms, and experience the artistic conception of "Taihu Lake is a wonderful place, after all, Yuantouzhu". The blooming of cherry blossoms every spring is a major wonder here. There is also a lively cherry blossom festival, which is Wuxi's most famous place to admire cherry blossoms.

It is said that more than 30,000 cherry trees and nearly 100 varieties are planted in Yuantouzhu. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, they are like clouds and the trees are full of bloom; the spring breeze blows gently and the falling cherry blossoms dance, making it beautiful. Therefore, going to Yuantouzhu to enjoy cherry blossoms is the highlight of this visit to Wuxi. A whole day is specially arranged to come here to play and watch cherry blossoms. If you have enough time, you can stroll around slowly and taste carefully in a leisurely manner. I walked around from less than 9 a.m. to nearly 5 p.m. before leaving, and stayed here for a full 8 hours. At noon, I just had a short rest after eating a bowl of pork ribs noodles at Hengyun Noodle Restaurant near Sakura Avenue.

1. The early cherry blossoms in Yuantouzhu usually bloom in early March, and are mostly single or semi-double petals. Cherry blossoms are divided into early and late cherry blossoms according to their flowering timing. There are many types of early-blooming cherry blossoms. The flowering period (from first bloom, full bloom to blooming) lasts for a week, and the late cherry blossom period can last for 7-10 days. Due to the temperature rise rate, there is a 5-12-day interval between morning and evening flowering. During this period, some hybrid cherry blossoms are open.

2. Generally, Yoshino Cherry Saii enters its full bloom in mid-to-late March, which is the best viewing period. However, the specific period of time to enter the full flowering period depends on the weather conditions at that time. If there is cold air, the full flowering period may be postponed. We went there on the 20th, and some of the cherry blossoms were only in full bloom. It is estimated that it will be a few days before the full bloom.

3. Yuantouzhu in its full bloom is crowded with people, and there are even more tourists on weekends. Many sections to the scenic spot are often congested. If conditions permit, travel by off-peak and try to avoid the peak period on weekends.

I have to take the plane back to Shantou at 4 p.m. that day, and I still have more than half a day to play. I originally wanted to go to Liyuan or Meiyuan, the more famous attractions in Wuxi, but the weather was bad and it was raining lightly, making it inconvenient to travel there from a long distance. I temporarily changed to visit Xue Fucheng's former residence and Qian Zhongshu's former residence not far from the hotel. Take a look at small attractions. Make full use of this half day to visit and visit five scenic spots, including Xue Fucheng's former residence (one of the famous thinkers, diplomats and representatives of the early reformers in our country in modern times), Qian Zhongshu's former residence (a modern Chinese scholar, learned from China and the West, and enjoyed a high reputation in academic circles at home and abroad), Wuxi Stele Exhibition Hall, Wuxi National Academy Memorial Hall, Gu Yuxiu Memorial Hall (who has made achievements in science and engineering, literature and art, education and is one of Wuxi's famous figures in modern times).

Visiting the former residence (memorial hall) is a window to learn about these historical celebrities. It is also good to have the opportunity to take a look.

1. All these attractions are free, like it! Among them, Xue Fucheng's former residence is large in scale, and the gardens also have Jiangnan characteristics, which is very eye-catching.

2. These attractions are not far away, so you can basically visit and visit them all the way, which is very convenient.
