Shanghai Shimao Spirit City Theme Park

When the InterContinental Shanghai Sheshan Shimao Hotel opened in 2018, it was quite huge. Many people wanted to visit this architectural wonder. This time because of childhood feelings, we came to this Internet celebrity Shenkeng Hotel because the super cute Smurf family is here-Shanghai Shimao Spirit City Theme Park.

Shanghai Shimao Spirit City Theme Park is based on the classic work "The Smurfs" created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo. It is divided into two parts: Deep Pit Mystery and Smurfs Paradise. The 100-meter glass plank road, flying deep pits, cliff hurricanes and other entertainment projects here are not exciting. Coupled with the support of the Smurfs this time, I had a great time playing and a great time taking pictures. Although it is more suitable for parent-child travel, there are many amusement facilities here that are also very suitable for us as older children, especially in Smurfs Park, when the scenes in those cartoons are all presented in front of you. Because Shanghai Shimao Spirit City Theme Park is located in Songjiang District, Shanghai, which is far away from the city, the time to make a round trip is tight, and the fun is not fun, so we simply chose to stay at the Shenkeng Hotel for one night and take a two-day and one-night short trip to Songjiang, Shanghai.

D1 arrived at the Shenkeng Hotel at noon on Saturday, checked in to check in the hotel's Smurfs, and came to Smurfs Paradise in the afternoon to hug these cute little guys.
D2 woke up naturally on Sunday morning, then went to the Deep Pit Secret Realm, and went home after finishing his game in the afternoon.

The full name of Shenkeng Hotel is Shanghai Sheshan Shimao Hotel. The most popular part of the hotel is its architectural design. The entire hotel reaches 88 meters below the surface to open up a building space. It is built on the cliffs of Shenkeng and is praised by National Geographic as "One of the top ten architectural wonders in the world."

We stayed in the rock view room of Shenkeng Hotel. The room was simply decorated but without losing the sense of design. When you walked up to the balcony, you could see the beautiful scenery of the deep pit. It was refreshing and relaxed. The hotel also arranged a light show at night, with spotlights coming out. The whole hotel seemed to have become a big stage with a super technological sense, shining with brilliance.

The room facilities are also very complete, including a Dyson hair dryer, a JBL slightly, small voice-activated electric curtains, put on music before going to bed at night, and then lie in the bathtub and take a bath. It's so comfortable ~ During this time, the hotel also prepared disinfectant, which is quite considerate!

When I was bored, I went to check in on the ground floor of the hotel and felt the majesty of the entire deep pit from the bottom up. What was interesting was that we actually encountered a giant Smurf model in the hotel. We couldn't walk anymore, so we took crazy photos here.

Just to take photos with the Smurfs, I spent a lot of time here, looking for angles, pinching his little feet, looking at him in the eye, shaking his claws with him, poking him in the eye, kissing him in the eye, and taking photos with him in a misplaced manner.

Smurfs Paradise

The fantasy of Smurfs Park is that the scenic area creates and realizes the scenes in Smurfs animation one by one, making it the first Smurfs park in the Asia-Pacific region, allowing the classic characters Papa Smurfs, the goddess Smurfette, the resourceful star Smart, and the troublemaker Stuben, the inventor Lingling and the evil Gargamel to break through the limitations of the second dimension and transform into characters in the "City of Elves" and present them to everyone.

Walking into Smurfs Park, we are surrounded by the strong Smurfs theme here. There are four areas: forest area, village area, Gargamel's home and outdoor area. When we come to this fantasy world, we can't help but stroll around first. Take photos and experience various entertainment projects with peace of mind. Just like advertised, the entire venue is designed based on scenes from Smurf animations. The naming, experience, and interaction methods of the amusement facilities in the park are closely integrated with the Smurfs. Walking in the venue, one accidentally thinks that he is also a member of the Smurf family.

As luck as we are, as soon as we entered the Smurfs area, we encountered a float parade. The characters in the Smurfs animation were walking towards us. Many children couldn't help but go up and ask for a photo.

However, our big friends prefer mushroom houses. There are many mushroom houses with various colors, shapes and functions. These mushroom houses are also restored according to the appearance in the cartoons and are very interactive.

There are two fun places in the mushroom house, one is the berry roller coaster, and the other is the magic brush for drawing. The berry roller coaster is a real roller coaster. The car body is very Q and the pink girl is heart-warming. Children can also play this roller coaster, and parents can take it with them. Although this roller coaster is not big, it is still a little exciting. The car started and sped on the track and the electric switch still caused many people to scream.

The drawing magic brush is relatively quiet. Children can draw, doodle, and pile up wood when they come here. We also saw several children patting and playing against a projection wall. It turns out that this is an interactive Mini games, projected on the wall. Hey, why didn't we have these fun things when we were young?

Walking through the Mushroom, we came to the Dark Laboratory. This is the territory of Gargamel. We thought it might be very scary inside, a bit like a haunted house, but the staff said we were not afraid, so we lined up and walked in. It was really not afraid at all. Through the design of scenes and sound effects, it restored the territory of the villains in the Smurfs animation. It was quite interesting. Finally, we sat down on the slide and it was fun.

In front of the Dark Lab is Swamp Adventure. This game is a bit intense. Have you all played Plants vs. Zombies? The weapon of this game is pink and cute peas. Teams of four enter the state of war. We can see your data inside and the rankings outside. Not bad.

There is also an adventure area in Smurfs Park. We went specifically to experience the adventures of the center of the earth. Inside the center of the earth, there are a lot of popular science content about the center of the earth, which is presented to us through light projection. What is particularly interesting is this mine that enters the center of the earth can rotate 360 degrees, and it is quite interesting to shuttle back and forth in it.

In addition to these fun things, Smurfs Paradise is a huge indoor playground. Interstellar Soars and Candy World are places where adults and children can play happily together. I feel that if I bring a child, I will definitely have a good time.

Deep pit secret realm

The next day, we went to the Deep Pit Secret Realm to play around. Although we came for the Smurfs, we were here after all, and we still had to complete our journey. Shenkeng Secret Realm is the first phase of Shanghai Shimao Spirit City Theme Park. It is a viewing platform and playground built around Shenkeng Hotel.

The road connecting the Deep Pit Secret Realm and the Smurfs Paradise is a quiet road. The small train in the scenic area passes by here. However, I personally think that if the weather is not hot, it would be quite comfortable to walk. Looking at the plateau like the sky of Magic City, the sky is blue, the Smurfs are blue, and so am I.

Shenkeng Secret Realm is next to the hotel. Walking into the door, everyone can't wait to go to the glass plank road, hoping to see the beauty of Shenkeng Hotel. But when we saw that there were many people, we first played the cliff hurricane next to the entrance of the glass plank road. It was the legendary pendulum. There were not many people, and the scenic area also had restrictions on the flow of people, so we could play without queuing. Hi.

I originally wanted to play Flying Deep Pit, but unfortunately, I was in the middle of maintenance when I went there that day, so I had no choice but to queue up on the glass plank road. Entering the glass plank road, the Shenkeng Hotel and a huge deep pit appeared in front of us. Walking on this glass plank road is the best and most beautiful location to see the hotel and the deep pit.

On one side was the sound of flowing water rushing down the waterfall, and on the other side was the human voice on the glass plank road. Only our little Smurfs sat quietly on the hotel terrace and waved to us. We played on the glass plank road for a long time, mainly because it was very suitable for taking photos. There were also a few children here and had a great time. There are many other rides in Deep Pit Secret Land, but we spend too much time on the glass plank road, and our time is limited, so we will wait until next time and invite a group of friends to play with us.
