Shanghai Sheshan

I have been to Shanghai many, many times, and I have seen its myriad faces, including the colorful lights of the Bund and the innocence of Disney. In the past month, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai have been in the rainy season, which will still have a slight impact on tourism travel. But it doesn't matter! I can always find a suitable way to relax, so when I came to Shanghai this time, I set my sights on Sheshan, which I had never been to before.

What kind of place is Sheshan? This place is known as the back garden of Shanghainese. It is located in Songjiang District and is divided into West Sheshan and East Sheshan. Xishe Mountain is about 100 meters above sea level. Although it sounds low, it is already the highest peak on land for Shanghai, which has a flat terrain. Dongshe Mountain is slightly shorter, with an altitude of 72.4 meters. It has an excellent ecological environment and is a healthy place, so not only can you experience the beautiful scenery when the weather is good, but when you travel when it rains, the experience will not be reduced, because you can mainly experience it like me. Food and culture here.

The itinerary this time is relatively simple. Take the high-speed train from Changzhou to Shanghai, with as many trains as buses. Then take a taxi directly from Hongqiao Station to Sheshan Forest Hotel. The hotel has lunch, the hotel has a rest in the afternoon, dinner at Lansun Villa in the evening, and Guangfulin Scenic Area the next morning.

Sheshan Forest Hotel

In lively Shanghai, Sheshan Hotel is a hidden existence in the city. It is located in the southwest foothills of Sheshan Forest Park. It is a star-rated hotel built on the mountain. The first feeling when I came here is that I am surrounded by mountains and forests, full of green bamboos and green mountains, and I am truly away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The front desk of the hotel gives people a very comfortable feeling, and there is also a lobby bar to rest, have a cup of coffee, flip through a book, and quietly wait for the rain outside to subside... I can't help but ask myself, is this really the fast-paced Shanghai? At least not here in Sheshan.

Accommodation at Forest Hotel is also different from hotels in high-rise buildings in Shanghai. There are many red-roofed villas here hidden among the mountains and forests. I live in Building 2 of the hotel. From the outside, it is a typical Shanghai "small foreign-style building", which is very beautiful. It is not difficult to see that the decoration style of the front desk just now has a somewhat European feel. The guest room area is no exception. Walking into the small Western-style building, the glass windows in the stairwell are particularly fresh.

The room I stayed in was a standard room. The configuration inside was reasonable and matched the room price very well. What I didn't expect was the size of the room. Because there were many hotels in Shanghai before, where every inch of land was expensive, even high-end hotels had relatively small space. I didn't expect to experience such a spacious room in Sheshan, which is also Shanghai. With a spacious desk, it was convenient for me to stay in the hotel all afternoon. There was actually room to set up a sofa so that even visiting guests would not be embarrassed.

Of course, when you come to Sheshan Hotel, you don't just come here to experience accommodation. The food here is also remarkable. At noon, I had lunch with my friends at the hotel's Forest Family Restaurant and ordered many special dishes.

The average price of vegetables here is in the early 100s. Now let's review and introduce everyone one by one. If you read this travel article hungry, you should be prepared to wipe your saliva. The first dish is grandma's vegetable rice and braised pork. Shanghai's braised pork is a bit sweet. Forest people's braised pork selects black-haired pigs with fragrant meat and suitable fat meat. The aftertaste is sweet and delicious. The just right taste is not too sweet. The soup penetrates into the vegetable rice and is very delicious. It is a must;

The second dish is chive net ribs. The shape of this dish is very beautiful, and the name of the dish is also based on the shape. The ribs are pickled, sized, fried, and finally added with homemade chives and stir-fried. The aroma is fragrant and the meat is thin but not dry. The key is that the ribs selected have some crispy bones on them, which makes it very chewy. People can't stop it.

The third dish is a somewhat exotic Thai stone pot beef brisket. Because of the special period, I haven't flown to Southeast Asia for a long time, so I haven't eaten curry for a long time. The curry in this dish has a strong taste and is a feast for taste buds. The sirloin in the stone pot was stewed crispy and the potatoes were fragrant and glutinous, making it easy to bite.

The fourth dish is a soul-filled stir-fried double mushroom protein. According to the store owner, this dish is a childhood memory dish in the suburbs of Shanghai. The soup base is made of chicken and big bones. The side dishes inside are our common mushroom and mushroom and white boiled egg protein. It seems simple but extremely delicious, and it is still an irresistible wave of "memory killing" for tourists in the suburbs of old Shanghai.

Another creative dish in the restaurant is fried shrimp paste with fresh pineapple. The shrimp paste is a new combination of asparagus and pineapple. It is refreshing and delicious, and is very suitable for summer consumption. Are you like me, always thinking that shrimp slippery can only be used to warm hot pot? I didn't expect it to be so clear.

The last dish is the signature coral fish head soup that we all have praised. For example, when I live in Changzhou, I often have the opportunity to drink the local Tianmu Lake fish head soup, but this fish head soup from forest people is different from the traditional fish head soup. Everyone loves the creamy white fish soup. It is also served with handmade large fish balls. The taste is very delicate and smooth. It is full of collagen and sprinkled with pepper and coriander. Almost everyone starts with three bowls!

Most of the food from the forest family was introduced here, and I was still reminiscing about this gluttonous meal while revising the pictures and writing the code. After dinner, I saw many medals on the wall at the entrance of the restaurant. No wonder there are many repeat customers who come to Sheshan here. Even if you don't live in the hotel, you can come to the forest family for dinner. There are many gold and silver cups, and the people have gained reputation!

Lansunshanzhuang

We had dinner at Lansun Villa. In fact, it was at the intersection next to the forest house, just 10 meters into it! Why did you change one? Obviously, we want to experience more when traveling. Lansun Villa is also a comprehensive place that integrates catering and accommodation. Lansun Villa overall presents a European architectural style, with a steeple castle with red tiles and white walls, like a fairy tale.

What you eat at Lansun Villa is also authentic Shanghai cuisine, including black pepper beef tenderloin, crystal shrimp, seafood stewed tofu, farmhouse steamed three delicacies, etc. Shanghai cuisine is characterized by thick oil and red sauce, moderate saltiness, maintaining the original flavor, and being mellow and delicious. The dishes ordered this time fully match these characteristics in terms of color. Shanghai food likes to use sugar very much, but it is much sweeter than Wuxi and Suzhou. It plays a role in improving freshness and is not particularly sweet.

It is necessary to talk about this special gluten burger I ate at Lansun Villa. In Jiangsu, we can often eat gluten stuffed meat, and usually there is simple gluten braised. This special gluten burger has fish paste, but it is not as big as gluten stuffed meat, but attached to the gluten skin. The layer on the skin will not be too full to bite, and it is extremely delicious.

There is also a Huadiao Taoyuan Chicken. When the chicken made with Huadiao wine is served, the faint aroma of wine will come to your face. The Huadiao wine does not have too high alcohol content. Even people who do not drink alcohol eat this dish will not feel uncomfortable. Appropriate Huadiao wine also eliminates the fishy smell of chicken meat, making the meat tender and tender, and very delicious to be eaten with rice.

Finally, I would like to popularize the name of the villa again."Sheshan Orchid Bamboo" became famous because it was favored by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, Sheshan was also named "Lansun Mountain", which is a very geographical indication. Nowadays, Sheshan also holds a cultural festival with the theme of orchid bamboo shoots every year, with the main content of "digging bamboo shoots, tasting bamboo shoots, picking tea, and tasting tea", allowing more tourists to know, appreciate and taste orchid bamboo shoots. This is also a major feature of Sheshan tourism. Therefore, Lansun Villa can be said to be a must-check-in place locally.

Guangfulin Ruins Park

When you come to Sheshan, in addition to the forest park, you must visit Guangfulin Ruins Cultural Park! If the forest park represents the natural scenery of Sheshan, then Guangfu Forest is the cultural context of Sheshan. Guangfulin, originally known as Huangfu Lin and Guangfulin, belonged to the category of Huating Valley in ancient times and gave birth to the splendid ancient Guangfulin culture. It was the cultural, political, economic and transportation center of eastern Dongwu in ancient times... Until the establishment of Huating County in the Tang Dynasty, the Ming and Qing Dynasties created the glory of Songjiang, so it is also known as the "root of Shanghai"!

Simply put, scientific archaeology confirmed that as early as 5000 years ago, Songjiang ancestors worked and lived in the Guangfulin area. Four to five thousand years ago, in the late Neolithic Era, rice was widely planted in the area. The long history of farming shows that the area has advanced agricultural production methods. After understanding the cultural background of Guangfulin Heritage Park, visiting it will be twice the result with half the effort. Combined with the introduction of the scenic spot, you can understand everything here more vividly.

I personally like two places in Guangfulin Ruins Park. One is Duoyun Academy (Guangfulin Branch), a Shanghai Internet celebrity. In addition to selling books, the academy also sells beautiful things here! It focuses on the two cards of literature and history and calligraphy and painting, providing a good platform and place for traditional culture, Shanghai culture, and Jiangnan culture.

Nowadays, bookstores are no longer just selling books, but also selling culture and environment. I also found many interesting cultural and creative products in Duoyun Bookstore. I had collected many similar items at home, but when I saw them, I couldn't help but buy some more. I usually buy things with local cultural characteristics, which is the best commemoration of a trip.

Duoyun Academy is a typical old Hui school building. There are wood carvings on the fat beams and a pool under the patio. It also has high appreciation value in the building itself. Huizhou people regard rainwater as wealth, and modern people understand that there are golden houses in books. The academy perfectly combines these two points and makes it very suitable to come here on rainy days. If you weren't in a hurry and ordered a cup of coffee and read a book, it would definitely be a fulfilling and fruitful day.

The Guangfulin Ruins Park is quite large in area. After playing around, you will really be a little tired. This is the time to take a break and taste delicious food. There is a restaurant called "Rest Bar" in the alley behind Dazhaobi in the scenic area. You can eat local specialty noodles here. The front hall is also a milk tea shop in an Hui-style building

The environment here is a bit more compact than in Duoyun Academy. In fact, it is just next door. It is very convenient to come here to fill your stomach after reading.

I can order more than ten kinds of noodles in the rest bar. I eat the most expensive braised mutton noodles, which is only 38 yuan a bowl. This price is very cost-effective in scenic spots in Shanghai. For example, if you have a drink at Disney, it may be more expensive than this! Mutton is a real piece of braised mutton. The meat is crispy and can be cut off with chopsticks, so the taste is excellent.

The little friend ordered a bowl of authentic Songjiang specialty spicy noodles, which better represents the local characteristics. Noodles in Shanghai, like those in southern Jiangsu, are all toppings. The key lies in whether the toppings are good or not. Hot sauce noodles are made by heating a frying pan, adding chopped green onions, chili noodles, diced pork and other ingredients, stir-fry, and then adding sauce, sugar, etc. to make hot sauce. After the noodles are cooked and poured with this hot sauce, you will have a bowl of authentic special hot sauce noodles. It actually doesn't taste that spicy, but the taste is still mainly delicious and very rich. If you like to eat meat, you can also order a large steak, chicken legs, etc. here.

I think all of you "old gluttons" can also see that my trip to Sheshan is a trip to eat food. Food is not affected by the weather or seasons, and it is also the easiest to make people happy! In such a beautiful place as Sheshan, there are so many delicious food accompanying you. I believe everyone is also gearing up and hurry up and have a health care journey in the name of delicious food!
