Mingzhu Lake was originally a tributary of the southern branch of the Yangtze River. It was built by artificial embankments in the 1970s. On December 5, 2020, I participated in a one-day trip to Mingzhu Lake in Chongming. The adult ticket is 99/person. A bus of 16 tourists takes 2.5 hours one way. The park is very large, circling the lake for 8 kilometers. There are currently no open Xisha wetlands and there are not many recreational activities in it. The scenery around the natural lake is picturesque, with clusters of trees and flowers, but there are fewer entertainment facilities.
