Shanghai, the Shanghai capital, is a place that no matter how many times you go, you still want to visit again. There is no reason, no reason, it is just a kind of fate, a kind of thought. Walking in various streets in Shanghai, there are all kinds of memories from all over the past, such as the Oriental Pearl, the Bund, the architectural complex of various countries, Wu Nong soft language, cheongsam, bright lights, and heavy traffic... It was precisely because of its magic that we chose to set off again during this year's National Day holiday after going there many times. During this trip to Shanghai, due to the selection of four unique "niche" routes, we really successfully avoided the flow of people and slowly explored the demons of the Magic City.

outline

1. North Bund

2. New Landscape of Pudong

3. Three "street-sweeping routes"

4. Shanghai's Creative Park

North Bund

Recommended route:The former site of Moses Hall--Jiantou Bookstore--Yacht Club--North Bund Riverside Green Space--Music Gate--Magic City Matrix--Beiwaidu Bridge--Zhapu Road and Bridge

If you want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Huangpu River but don't want to be "drowned" by the crowd, try this niche route. There are surprises to be discovered everywhere ↓

Whether it's holidays or not, Shanghai's Bund is always crowded with people and bustling. This is probably the most Shanghai-style photo spot in Shanghai. However, on the North Bund, which is not far away, you can still enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Huangpu River. The key is that there are still few people. Take Metro Line 12 and get off at the International Passenger Transport Center Station. When you come out, you will find the Magnolia Shopping Center, where there are many delicious food ↓

Out of the building, not far away from the North Bund ↓

Moses Synagogue was not able to visit due to its early closing time, so he walked directly to Jiantou Bookstore located in Jiayu Building on Gongping Road ↓

Out of the bookstore and walk to the river, you will find the Yacht Club ↓

The way for yachts to depart from the port here is very special. They have to first enter a closed ship lock and wait until the water level in the ship lock is equal to the water level of the Huangpu River before leaving the port. It is a bit like the ship lock on the Panama Canal ↓

The North Bund Riverside Green Space is 2.5 kilometers long and has a plastic track inside. It is good to walk or run ↓

Located at the Music Gate of the SDIC Building, the three balls are the iconic landscape of the North Bund ↓

The Magic City Matrix is a venue for outdoor climbing activities. It faces the area that is being renovated and upgraded along the river. The screened glass wall on the outside carefully marks the scene before the renovation ↓

Lin Huiyin and Xu Zhimo welcomed Tagore at Huishan Wharf, who came by boat to start his first trip to China ↓

On the way to the Baiwaidu Bridge, you can always see the "three-piece set" of the Magic City and the Oriental Pearl opposite the Huangpu River. They look more three-dimensional and charming in the afterglow of the sunset. The light reflected by the outer wall and the waves on the river echo each other, a peaceful and prosperous picture ↓

During the National Day, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, Shanghai Pujiang music and light shows were held on the Bund and Lujiazui located on the Huangpu River. From 19:00 to 22:00 p.m., formal performances were performed every hour and half-point, each time for about 5 minutes. The tracks include: "The East is Red","Walking on the Bund","My Motherland and I","Ode to the Red Flag" ↓

Standing on the Zhapu Bridge, in front of you is the bright red Waibaidu Bridge, and behind you is the bright yellow-orange Sichuan North Road Bridge. The Zhapu Bridge at your feet is like a white line across the Suzhou River. From here, you can see the "three-piece set" of Pudong Magic City and the night view of the Oriental Pearl River on the other side across the Huangpu River. The Shanghai Post Museum on the side of the Sichuan North Road Bridge looks particularly cold at night ↓

If there are many people watching the night view at Baiwaidu Bridge and Zhapu Road and Bridge, you can also go to Shanxi Road and Bridge and Zhejiang Road and Bridge. Not only are they low-key and have fewer people, they are also full of a market atmosphere.

Pudong New Landscape

Recommended route:Pudong 1862 Fashion Art Center--Lujiazui Shanghai Center Building--Duoyun Bookstore--Guanfu Museum--Take the Lujiazui Ferry to the Bund on the other side--the Old Pier on the South Bund

A very small one-day tour in Pudong. Take Metro Line 4 and get off at Pudong Avenue Station, walk 1 kilometer to the Shipyard 1862 Fashion Art Center (renovated from the 150-year-old 1862 Shipyard), located directly opposite the North Bund ↓

The Shanghai Shipyard, which has a history of more than 150 years, has now been renovated and designed by the master architect Kengo Kuma to combine the structural space with modern fashion art. It is a new type of commercial consumption destination, with Internet celebrity coffee shops, restaurants, Gaoding designer brands, and also home furnishings and various art exhibitions, with a strong industrial style. The mottled red brick walls, rusty steam pipes, stainless steel and metal mesh, coupled with the master's usual light and shadow, walking here feels like being lost in another world and space, feeling the memories of the years, and you can also look at the beautiful scenery of Pujiang River ↓

Take a taxi to the Shanghai Center Building on Yincheng Middle Road. On the 52nd floor of the tallest building in Shanghai, there is a recently popular online bookstore-Duoyun Academy. It is a bookstore hidden in the clouds. The large floor-to-ceiling windows sit on the Huangpu River. Excellent view, the bookstore is bright, and all bookshelves are simple arc-shaped design. Through the bookshelves, you can see the large glass windows and the cloudy sky outside. Writing here, I suddenly understand why the academy is named "Duoyun". Imagine if the weather is fine, there are blue skies and white clouds outside the window, sitting by the window reading, and looking up will see the charming Shanghai Beach River view outside the window ↓

On the right side of the bookstore is a beverage bar with juice and coffee. Next to it is the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope. It is actually a window viewing area. You can overlook the Huangpu River view and Pudong. You need to buy juice or coffee to enter. A cup of 50 yuan ↓

The bookstore has a dedicated elevator directly on the first floor of the building. New Internet celebrities are very popular and need to queue up ↓

Guanfu Museum, located on the 37th floor of the same building, is the first private museum in New China. Ma Weidu is the founder and first director ↓

There are four fixed exhibition halls in the museum: Porcelain Hall, East-West Hall, Goldware Hall, Statue Hall, and a temporary exhibition hall ↓

Pudong outside the museum window is a place that truly embodies Shanghai's new heights ↓

Walking from the Shanghai Center Building to the riverside, take a ferry at the Dongchang Road Ferry in Lujiazui to the Jinling East Road Ferry on the Bund on the other side. The ticket is 2 yuan and it lasts 10 minutes. The scenery of this line is not at all comparable to the Hong Kong Star Ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central. The line is worse.

Wedding scene on the ferry ↓

If you want to travel at night, buy tickets for sightseeing ferries at the nearby Shiliupu Pier. The fare ranges from 80 to 150 yuan. The difference is whether meals and seating in the viewing area are included. There are stop points for sightseeing buses on the Bund one after another. The sightseeing buses with terraces on the second floor can hop on and off within 24 hours. The ticket price is 100 yuan ↓

The Bund is crowded with tourists both day and night, so it is recommended to go to the Bund either the North Bund or the South Bund. The old dock is a renovated area on the South Bund. Walking in, it looks like Sinan Mansion and Xintiandi ↓

The road outside is very distinctive ↓

The old houses being renovated, the empty streets, and the high-rise buildings in the distance give people the illusion that they seem to locate all the details about Shanghai in an instant ↓

Shanghai, the Magic City, a prosperous place.

But when I turned around, I immediately met another more elegant Shanghai. On the old roads where sycamore trees fell, there were old houses with a long history, an old flavor that Shanghai people would never forget, and a unique feeling that truly belonged to Shanghai.

Sweeping the streets and the beach

Route 1: Yuanmingyuan Road Looking for the old buildings on Laoma Road in Shanghai a century ago

In the neighborhood near the Bund, you can see scenery wherever you walk. Avoid the Nanjing East Road section in the morning and after 10 p.m.. It is a quiet and charming corner with dim lights and the zebra crossing on the road. Every picture is peaceful and gentle. Many people come to take wedding dresses in the building located at the junction of Dianchi Road and Yuanmingyuan Road.

Yuanmingyuan Road, close to the Bund, but it is very quiet. It starts from Beijing East Road in the south and ends at Suzhou Road in the north. There are many old buildings. From the east side, they are: the former New Tian 'an Hall, the British Consulate, and the Peninsula Hotel. The eight rows of old houses on the west side are even more beautiful. Zhenguang Building, Lanxin Building, Xiejin Building, Hami Building, National Association of China YWCA, Yuanmingyuan Apartment, Ampo Foreign Store, Huigongguan, and then go to the Bund Art Museum (former site of Shanghai Museum) ↓

Baiwaidu Bridge ↓

The original New Tian 'an Hall cleverly combines Roman style and Gothic elements. There are two chapels on both sides of the central bell tower. It is the only remaining waterfront church in Shanghai ↓

True Light Building ↓

Ampere Foreign Bank ↓

Yuanmingyuan Apartment ↓

The Bund Art Museum, you can see the Oriental Pearl opposite from its rooftop ↓

Line 2:
Wukang Road Searching for Old Shanghai's Story of the Republic of ChinaSigh that Shanghai is the most popular place in the depths of the Chinese parasol tree
Wukang Road, formerly known as "Fokasen Road", is known as Shanghai's "Celebrity" Road. It has a history of nearly a century. There are European buildings hidden under the dense sycamore trees. The most famous one is the Wukang Building. The red brick walls of the building, corner balconies, triangular classical mountain flower window lintels, etc., have the charm of the French Renaissance."Even if you move it to Paris, it will definitely be a rare architectural masterpiece." The building is shaped like a giant ship waiting to set sail, so it is not difficult to understand the origin of its "Normandy Apartment". Many people come here to see the old Shanghai, but it is still a quick glance ↓

"Lust, Caution" has become popular on Wukang Road, and photo parties have flocked to it. In fact, there are many streets in the French Concession with hidden fame, such as the tiled bungalows on Tianping Road, the lonely corner of Yongfu Road, the music box shop on Wuyuan Road, and finally the osmanthus wine you drink ↓

Less than two kilometers away, Wukang Road hides half of Shanghai's Internet celebrity landmarks, and the story of a century-old era of old Shanghai. European style and modern trend design, spanning time, jointly interpret the unique beauty of Shanghai. I met the crew who was filming TV. Is the script the most Shanghai in the depths of Wutong?

Drops Cafe has always been a quiet and peaceful place. If you don't know about this cup of cold extract coffee, you might think it's a bottle of foreign wine ↓

The visitor center on Wukang Road is particularly well done. It contains an exhibition of old photos of Wukang Road and some Shanghai tourist materials for distribution. If you want to understand the stories of the Republic of China in old Shanghai, if you want to experience cultural heritage, if you want to feel the touch of history while sightseeing and appreciating the scenery, you must not miss this place ↓

There are many derivative paths on Wukang Road that harbor the charm of Wukang Road. Only by approaching it can you understand its story. Old restaurants, cafes, bookstores, designer stores, French sycamore trees on the roadside, this is Shanghai ↓

Different people have different feelings about the same attraction. Every time you come to Shanghai, you have to come here to see it. All kinds of elegant and unique old buildings are integrated into the sycamore trees on both sides, giving people a tranquil and elegant temperament. Shuttling through the former residences of historical celebrities, sighing with the passing of time ↓

On Sinan Road, not far from Wukang Road, Sinan Mansion is the only project in Shanghai City that aims to preserve and protect patches of garden houses. It houses more than 50 historical garden houses, and also gathers various architectural styles such as detached garden houses, connected vertical garden houses, detached garden houses with inner courtyards, town-style buildings, exterior corridor buildings, new alleys, garden alleys, modern apartments, etc. It is a concentration of modern residential buildings in Shanghai, walking on Sinan Road, Taste the scenery intertwined with architecture and sycamore trees all the way ↓

The nearby former site of the Shanghai Office of the Communist Party of China Delegation was built in the 1920s. It is a three-story European-style garden house. It is the only well-preserved Zhou Enlai memorial site in Shanghai that is open to the public. After the Anti-Japanese War, the delegation of the Communist Party of China established an office here. They made important contributions here to promoting the development of the cause of the Chinese people's liberation and wrote a glorious page in the history of the Chinese revolution ↓

From here and the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Xintiandi, we can better see that our party has a long-term vision and has lived in the core position of Shanghai since the early morning ↓

Shanghai Art Museum of Arts and Crafts, commonly known as the "Little White House", is a low-key place with a "tall and high-quality" charm ↓

It has a spiral staircase comparable to that in the Vatican Museum ↓

Mahler Villa at the junction of Yan 'an Overpass and South Shaanxi Road is known as the castle in the dream. It is a Nordic architectural style and a castle in a busy city ↓

Rongzhai is a famous garden house in Shanghai. PRADA teamed up with a group of highly skilled craftsmen to renovate it in 2011. Imagine how luxury brands and industrial buildings can be combined ↓

Shanghai Xintiandi is still the most popular place for many criticisms. It was originally the old Shikumen building area, but later transformed by the developer into a modern leisure area for catering, shopping, commerce, and entertainment. It still vaguely retains the brick walls and tiles of that time, revealing the local customs and cultural heritage of old Shanghai. Foshan's Lingnan Xintiandi was developed by the same developer and feels more down-to-earth than Shanghai's. The common thing is that there are many good-looking men and women ↓

Xintiandi is still expanding. It is by far the best open-air bar area. More and more design stores, clothing stores and luxury stores are opening in Xintiandi, making it more and more like an alternative shopping mall. Of course, under the name of Shikumen ↓

Shanghai has always been compatible, inherited and developed ↓

Line 3: Duolun Road reproduces the style of old Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s

Duolun Road, which is only about 500 meters long, recreates the style of Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s after renovation. After a century of vicissitudes, Duolun Road not only sees many styles of buildings within a hundred meters, but also looks back at the surging tide of the most outstanding wisdom, but still refuses to just keep pace with the times, inject the connotation of the times, continue to write cultural glory, become a model for the gathering of red tourism resources and the deep integration of culture and tourism ↓

Someone once wrote an article on the Internet that commented on this well-known road as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Short and Sharp". However, as the birthplace of left-wing forces in the last century, it has never lost the brilliance of advanced ideas and is also the birthplace of multiculturalism. In just 500 meters, from the cafe where Wang Daohan personally wrote the inscription "The Cradle of the Birth of Left-wing Writers" to the Baroque "Hengfeng Tea House", the Christian church "Hongde Hall" that combines China and Europe, And the "Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art" that combines the flavor of modern art in Dantian ↓

In addition to the above, there are also the Anglo-Georgian "Xue Mansion", the Japanese Western-style residence, the neoclassical "1920 Mansion" of Xiaobailou, the retro Shanghai "Old Film Cafe", the late Victoria Queen Anne revival "The Chinese Art University Dormitory Site", the French neoclassical former residence of Bai Chongxi, the antique Roman Taolik-style old residence of Liang Hongzhi, and the Spanish Ottoman Turkish style old residence of Kong Xiangxi ↓

This Duolun Road has no knowledge of history, politics, or architecture. It only takes 15 minutes to walk around, but young people with ideals, morality, culture, and discipline will definitely be able to walk around for one or two minutes. There are many buildings with very different styles; there are many former residences, ten steps away; there are many antiques, each with its origin; the photo taking place is a holy place, and the flow of people is endless ↓

Opposite Duolun Road is Lu Xun Park ↓

The sweet love road not far from Duoren Road, a love road that somehow became an Internet celebrity, reminds people of le mur des je t 'aime in Paris ↓

Before coming to Shanghai, I happened to chat with a friend about Shanghai. My friend said that she liked the petty bourgeoisie of Sinan Road and Tianzifang, the luxury of Huaihai Road, and the gathering of brands on Nanjing Road. These feelings are just cold road signs, and the bustling business district is full of unfamiliar and unreal feelings. Every time I pass by Tianzifang in Shanghai Lane, I look at the brand-new painted exterior walls (Each time it has a different pattern), the neatly repaired Shikumen, the rare foreigners who come to visit, and the tourists who rush to check in feel unfamiliar. Sun, Moon and Xintiandi are just Shanghai's "facade", receiving batches of guests. I feel that the Shikumen in my earliest memory is the old Shikumen seen from movies and TV dramas. It is an alley made of bluestone with threads imprinted by the times. Spittoons, benches, and cattail fans are placed at the door. There is the noisy sound of mahjong, noise, and the northern Jiangsu dialect that can never be heard clearly. The intersection of old and new buildings, the past and present life of a city, people walking through it are both the scenery and the master ↓

The contrast between old alleys and new landmarks, what have people lost when society is advancing? Is a way of life still the charm of a city?

Friends who envy Shanghai can go to see old Shanghai in the old times on weekends, walk through old streets, meet houses with stories, drink afternoon tea, and taste the old flavors.

Shanghai's Creative Park

1、1933old workshop

Exit at Hailun Road Station of Metro Line 4 or Line 10, this is the former Shanghai Industry Bureau Slaughterhouse. It was funded and built by the Ministry of Industry of the Public Concession at that time, designed by British designers, and built by well-known domestic builders at that time. It was once the most modern, large-scale and most technologically complete slaughterhouse in the Far East at that time, and was called the "machine of the concrete industry." There are only three works of its size around the world, but the other two buildings in the United Kingdom and the United States are long gone. Now it is the "1933 Old Changfang" creative park ↓

The basic structure of this unique old building with square outside and round inside implicitly conforms to the traditional concept of "round sky and square earth" in Chinese Feng Shui."beamless floor","umbrella-shaped pole","arc-shaped staircase","covered bridge" and "cow road" are integrated, and the infinite changes of light, shadow and space present a maze-like effect ↓

At present, it has become a fashion creative design center and a national industrial tourism demonstration site. Because it has filmed "Tiny Times" and "Running Man", it has instantly become a gathering place for cultural and youth in the magic city. However, with commercial development, the invasion of various shops has somewhat destroyed the original industrial atmosphere ↓

2. Colombia Park
Under the Yan 'an West Road Station of Metro Line 3 or 4 is a park reopened by Vanke, the New Landmark Park of Magic City. It has a strong Morocco style and a full holiday feeling. It is another photo resort. Since it is newly opened, there are still many people, and of course it is not crowded ↓

3. M50 Creative Park

No. 50 Moganshan Road has an ordinary appearance and is easy to miss. Only when you walk in will you see the world. This light industrial park has multiple artist studios, large galleries and art spaces, and is also a creative place for cultural and youth check-in. Here, you can take a photo with a bright background in front of the graffiti wall, flip through the bookstore in the old factory building, and drink an artistic cup of coffee...↓

4. Thames Town
Located in Songjiang District, under Songjiang New Town Station of Metro Line 9, it was originally a large-scale building, but the planning and design here is good, presenting a quite "authentic" European town appearance. The overall atmosphere is good, featuring European architecture, the Catholic Church, the red train and the famous Bell Book Pavilion. After years of development, it is really full of a natural and not so fake European daily life atmosphere, and has become a wedding dress shooting base ↓

I like the convenience of Shanghai and lament the changes in Shanghai.Walking in a hurry and feeling natural, I will share this memory with you.Travel guides cannot be detailed, so you can leave a message and inquire. You are very willing to share your experiences and make your walking guide.
