★ Tourist location: Shanghai Changxing Island Wetland Park

Changxing Island Wetland Park is located at the entrance of a highway, so you have to take a taxi no matter what. Although there is not much expectation for this park, it is at least the first wetland ecological park built on Changxing Island, occupying the first place! In addition, it won't take too long to detour, so I was able to arrive in Pudong before dinner, so I happily went there.

When I drove to the Wetland Park, the front door was really inconspicuous. If it wasn't for the navigation, it would have been awesome. I guess I would have accidentally missed it. The car drove into the gate and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no parking fee for parking inside the park. It seems that this is the welfare of Changxing Island for tourists! The private cars parked in the parking lot were also beyond my expectations. I thought these wetland parks were mostly places for nearby residents to take walks and relax, but I didn't expect that there was still a lot of traffic today.

It wasn't until I followed the crowd that I realized why they had such high popularity. It turned out that there were large lotus flowers planted here, and it was just the season now! It's no wonder so many people came to support the blooming flowers of the season and the weekend.

In addition to the stunning lotus flowers, the layout of the wetland park itself is also quite ingenious. Its land area may not be considered large in wetland parks, but the clever combination of water and forest forms a flowing landscape painting, creating a water forest effect of "lake in forest, forest in lake". A relatively small park with a lake as its core and abundant aquatic plants. Although the surrounding buildings are not too large, they also add a finishing touch to make the park more vivid.

In addition to lotus, there are also a variety of aquatic plants, such as fish shuttle grass, Chinese cabbage, and Zailihua, which are the main specialties. In the pond, there are also clusters of water lilies planted, which respond to the lotus in a distant manner and complement each other.

Standing at the bridgehead and looking at both sides is also quite interesting. On one side, the lotus pond with a nine curved bridge is scorching and pressing, while on the other side, there is a smaller pond with little water. Apart from a pavilion and a small boat used as props, the distant crane can only be used as the background to avoid appearing monotonous. So the popularity is also vastly different. On one side, tourists who keep pressing the photo button or aim at a lotus or playfully take selfies, while on the other side, there are hardly any tourists stopping.

Walking along the boardwalk, I found two adorable big white geese swaying along the shore. I don't know who raised them, but if they were just park animals, it would seem monotonous.

I thought a pool of blooming lotus flowers had already surprised me. Who knew that turning from the lotus pond was truly a step by step surprise and stunning. On the small lakeside, there are actually a large number of aquatic plants planted, including many calamus and cattails. The large flower beauty banana is different from the simple and elegant flowers of Zailihua, water lilies, barracuda grass, and Qianqucai. The bright red and orange colors add a few bright colors to the park.

The roses on the other side are also not to be outdone. Although there is no large-scale rose garden here, the roses planted in the flower beds are also colorful and colorful in this summer, becoming an undeniable presence.

Tall Chinese fir and pond fir are planted by the water, some of which take root in the water, making them the best components of aquatic forests. And the water fir on land is not to be outdone, standing tall and upright, and there are also patches of Ophiopogon in the bushes, blooming simple small flowers.

Water ghost banana is pure white, simple to the extreme. But its flower pattern is very unique, blooming by the lake, making it very eye-catching.

There is also a type of water ball flower, which has a very unique appearance. Its round and rolling flower shape seems to be soft and sticky balls, no wonder it is called water ball. Its color is extremely pale pink, not growing in water, but occasionally seen on the shore.

As for flowers such as jade hairpins, Xuancao, and pink sorrel that are in season, they are also indispensable in the park. Just because they are planted sporadically, it is easy for people to overlook them. In fact, even without these colorful flowers and plants, the environment of the park itself is excellent. Even the small island in the center of the lake, where visitors cannot land, has been carefully crafted into a scene of sika deer frolicking. Changxing Island itself is a big island, and the small islands on the big island are also quite interesting!
