There are two reasons why I chose to ride today. Firstly, it is a sunny day. Secondly, I made an appointment with the most popular check-in point on the Jiading app in Shanghai - Jiading Wisteria Garden.
Itinerary: within the city - Zhenru Town - Nanxiang Town - Malu Town - Jiading Town
Distance: About 80 kilometers round-trip
Highlights: Zhenru Zen Temple - Nanxiang Ancient Town - Yuanxiang Lake - Han Tianheng Art Museum - Wisteria Garden - Huilongtan Park
Yuanxiang Lake is the core landscape of Jiading New City and the largest artificial lake in western Shanghai. Its artistic conception is consistent with the planning pattern of "one forest per kilometer, one lake per hundred meters, connected by rivers and lakes, and filled with lotus fragrance" in Jiading New City.
A very good place. I rode more than 30 kilometers to get here, and once I arrived, I didn't feel tired anymore. The lake water is very clear. The cool breeze blows gently, circling around the lake, the scenery is beautiful.
Yuanxiang Lake is opposite the F1 race track and is located at both ends of the central axis. The race track of the racetrack is in the shape of "up", while the shape of Yuanxiang Lake is represented by the image of "sea". Looking down from a high altitude, the words "up" and "sea" echo each other from afar.
The Poly Grand Theater by the lake, designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, has also been an excellent building checked in by numerous internet celebrities.
The Han Tianheng Art Museum is free, just across from Wisteria Park, and sometimes there are temporary exhibitions. The cost-effectiveness of visiting it is really high.
Mr. Han Tianheng is the president of the Xiling Seal Engraving Society, and he has a high level of artistic accomplishment. His paintings, calligraphy, and seals are all of great appreciation value.

Jiading Wisteria Garden is located on the banks of the Huancheng River on Bole Road in Jiading District, northwest of Shanghai. It was built to commemorate the 10th anniversary of friendly exchanges and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Jiading District and Waqi Town, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The layout of Wisteria Garden not only features Chinese landscape architecture, but also incorporates some Japanese gardening styles.
The cherry blossoms on the road in front of the park gate are blooming happily, with leaves growing along with the flowers, making them red and green.
There are attractions such as water bodies, rockeries, small bridges, pavilions, sheds, and stone lanterns in the park. The water body in the entire wisteria garden covers nearly 2000 square meters, with a shelf area of 1500 square meters, a lawn area of 1300 square meters, and a forest area of over 2000 square meters. The plant materials are mainly spring flowers and shrubs, including Japanese cherry blossoms, Chinese magnolia, azalea, red maple, and crabapple trees, as well as popular tree species such as osmanthus, wintersweet, ginkgo, and beech trees. Therefore, the entire garden appears natural, lively, and diverse.
Due to the epidemic, making appointments to go to Wisteria Park is necessary to control the flow of people, which will result in a much smaller number of people in the park.
More than 90 varieties of wisteria in this park are provided free of charge by Mr. Nagatomoto Daosheng from Kawakami, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Every year, Mr. Fujimoto Daosheng comes to Jiading to teach everyone about wisteria cultivation and pruning techniques.
The bottom layer of the red leaved Nan shop is adorned with purple flower clusters of wisteria hanging in the air, bordered by green leaves. As people walk under the flowers, the scenery is full of spring.
There is a garden not far from the Wisteria Garden, named Huilong Pond because five streams of water, including the Hengli River, converge here, resembling "Five Dragons Playing with Pearls". The mountains, water, pavilions, and pavilions in the park are seamlessly integrated, beautiful and elegant. The mountain island in the pond is called Yingkui Mountain. At the top of the mountain, there is a pavilion called Lingyun Pavilion. Inside the pavilion, you can overlook the panoramic view of Huilong Lake. Other attractions include Kuixing Pavilion and Hundred Birds Chaofeng Terrace.

Entering Huilongtan Park is mainly for the flower exhibition, which showcases potted azaleas and roses.

Jiading, especially Jiading New City, is currently developing quite well. Riding to the countryside for fun and fresh air is also a good place to visit the surrounding areas of Shanghai. It is now the season of warm spring and blooming flowers, so cycling to the countryside is also a very suitable way.
