On the afternoon of August 23, 2020, after finishing work on Lingling Road in Shanghai, I saw that there was still time and went to the nearby Xuhui Riverside for a walk.

Along the east Rihui Road south to Ruining Road, through the Xuhui Binjiang planning exhibition Center is not far south of the Xuhui Binjiang green.

This area belongs to the left bank of the Huangpu River, also known as the West bank, not far from the Lupu Bridge.

The green space on the other side of the Huangpu River is Pudong Houtan Park, which I visited a year or two ago.

Go east along the riverside Avenue along the Huangpu River in Xuhui Riverside Greenbelt for several hundred meters to Rihui Port, overlooking the Lupu Bridge.

Turn back along Binjiang Avenue west, all the way to enjoy the scenery of Xuhui Binjiang.

Xuhui Riverside area was originally Shanghai cement factory, wharf, warehouse and other riverside industrial area, a few years ago due to the Shanghai World Expo and moved into the Huangpu River recreation and entertainment waterfront landscape sightseeing belt. The riverside promenade also specially retained the original iron bolt pier used for tying the cable when the ship docked, which was modified to allow tourists to sit on the railing and view the river.

The tall tower crane on the original pier has also remained, and there are 4 tower cranes, two of which are green and two are yellow and red, which have become the striking landmark landscape of Xuhui Binjiang Avenue. Probably for the safety of tourists, the tower crane can not go up, otherwise the tower crane overlooking should be the best viewing platform.

Traffic on the Huangpu River is still busy, and from time to time there are cargo ships passing, or up the river, or down the river.

A decommissioned submarine is going up the river with two tugs on the left and right, and the bridge of the submarine is marked with the words "given by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy", presumably to a patriotic education base for young people.

There is an elevated sightseeing walk on the inside of Binjiang Avenue, which is converted from the original coal transport terminal coal transmission belt.

Take a walk on the elevated walkway and enjoy the view of the Huangpu River from the high east to the west.

Accidentally found that there are two railway tracks along the river in Xuhui Binjiang Green, and the original Xuhui Binjiang area was also connected to the railway, and there is Shanghai Railway Nanpu station. Apparently, this Nampo station is a railway freight station.

The dock is connected to the railway, and the combined transport of water and land freight is natural, and the scene of busy ships coming and going to the dock in the area of Xuhui Binjiang can be imagined. Now a section of the freight railway line is retained, which is also a historical memorial of the year, and has become an interesting photography spot for tourists.

The Long Art Museum beside Xuhui Binjiang Avenue is also a tourist stop, where the Beipiao coal terminal coal hopper unloading bridge is retained.

This section of industrial history 110 meters long, 10 meters wide and 8 meters high is very eye-catching, attracting many tourists and photographers to stop and take photos here.

Along the river side all the way west, near Kaibin Road, Longhua Port on the other side of the river that torch-shaped water tower building is Xuhui Binjiang Maritime watchtower.

From there to continue along the river is another area of Xuhui Binjiang, due to the relationship of time, I did not move forward.

The waterfront of the Huangpu River in the area of Xuhui Binjiang is curved, which is called the second Bay of the Huangpu River. Along the left bank of the Huangpu River, Xuhui riverside green, riverside is a hydrophilic landscape walk, fitness track, bicycle path, etc., the inside is a leisure area and green space, there are wide open Spaces for tourists to play skateboarding sections, elevated sightseeing walk on both sides of the wall and simple climbing facilities, is indeed a good place for leisure.

In leisure time, it is a pleasant thing to stroll along the Xuhui Riverside, enjoying the river breeze and watching the sparkling gulls on the Huangpu River. At this moment, although the autumn sun is like fire, sweat wet clothes, it seems to be bearable.
