No. 1247 South Suzhou River Road, located in the "Suhe Zhiyi", is a multi-storey building built in 1908 and has been around for more than 110 years. It was once the "Second Warehouse of China Commercial Bank" and Du Yuesheng's private granary.

The 1908 granary, which had been silent for many years, did not wait for an opportunity until 2017. Designer Wang Changxing, who liked old buildings, met it unexpectedly. The designer felt that it was a pity that the century-old building had been abandoned to this point. After 48 days of renovation, the old house of about 2000 square meters finally restored its former appearance and was officially renamed No. 8 Bridge Art Space· 1908 Granary.

The old red walls and rust seem to have returned to the era of love and hatred.

The "No. 8 Bridge Art Space-1908 Granary" format has been newly opened, which will mainly focus on holding art exhibition activities to bring new life to the old warehouse.

The newborn granary has a total of three floors, and the art space is divided into three floors. The first floor is a display cabinet for some works of art,

The second and third floors are mainly for exhibitions of calligraphy and painting. There is also a gym on the third floor, which can also provide space for performances, bringing new cultural life to the old warehouse.

Under the mountain roof, the wooden floors and columns in the warehouse expose rough and mottled wood grains inside, which are traces left by a century of time.

The exterior facade is red brick drywall inlaid with blue bricks. The warehouse windows and doors are in the form of wood grain and are equipped with exquisite detailed design. The roof is in the form of a mountain, retaining the ancient historical appearance of the warehouse as much as possible. The floor and columns are exposed with rough wood grains, and the old white ash on the walls cannot cover the cracks in the bricks, making it both simple and avant-garde.
