Every time friends from other places come to Shanghai for tourism, they always ask me where Shanghai is fun, but in fact, there wasn't really anything particularly recommended before. But now I am very happy to recommend the newly opened Shanghai Songcheng to my friends.
Shanghai Songcheng is located within the Shanghai World Expo Park. The subway line 13 leads to Exit 1 of the World Expo Avenue Station, and it is only a 5-6 minute walk away. The transportation is very convenient, and I am very looking forward to it. I don't know what's special about Shanghai Songcheng, so I specifically invited my best friend to go with me. My best friend saw that a friend had already been to Songcheng in Shanghai and took many beautiful portraits, and both of us like to take photos, which is exactly what we want.
Shanghai Songcheng is a performing arts park, the only one in Shanghai. The park opens at 10am and we arrive at 11am. First, take the brochure, remember the performance time, and start the day's play. Girls love to take photos, and the morning light is better than the afternoon. Let's head straight to the top floor, which has a glass observation deck, a cliff theater, a haunted house in Liaozhai, a fantasy space, an elf cave, an elf valley, and a vine bridge.
Fairy Valley
The first thing I recommend is Elf Valley, which is like a Hobbit's cabin. It seems like we have arrived in New Zealand, and the photo scenes are very beautiful, attracting many tourists. The cute and colorful small wooden doors one by one basically restore the scene of the Hobbit house in the movie "The Lord of the Rings", and the cute childlike charm can be found here. This place not only attracts children, but also attracts us who love taking photos.
The glass observation deck on the top floor offers a spectacular view of Pudong, Shanghai. It is also a must check in recommended location in Shanghai. We also saw many children sliding and climbing, and upon closer inspection, there were adults sliding as well. We also chose the slide to relive the joy of childhood.
There are many places to play and take photos on the top floor. We spent the longest time in this area and received satisfactory portrait photos. There are many chairs for tourists to rest on each floor, and the scenic area is very thoughtful.
The weather is very nice, combined with clouds like in comics, and the lovely house complements it like a fairy tale kingdom.
Tiantian Street Market
The 6th floor is the Tiantian Street Market. While choosing a beautiful background to take photos, we won't miss out on exciting performances. The performance at Tiantian Street Market is indoors, no matter how hot it is outside. In the movie "Shining Lantern" at Shining Lantern Square, the actors dressed in Persian costumes appear in the sky market or around us, inviting everyone to dance together. Their graceful dance moves and charming smiles infected us.
Seeing many people watching, it turned out that the performance of "Crystal Ball" had begun. I saw the crystal ball dancing happily at his fingertips, seemingly simple but very difficult. The crystal ball seemed to stick to his fingers, obeying his command, which was admirable.
The wonderful music sounded, and the symphony began, with everyone sitting on chairs. I actually have a feeling of being there, as if we are sitting in the street market listening to music, it feels great.
After watching the performance, continue taking photos. At first, I thought Tiantian Market was just a shopping street, but I didn't expect that the photos here were also very good. The street market is in Persian style, with a strong sense of exotic flavor. It is not an exaggeration to say that Songcheng is currently the most popular check-in spot for internet celebrities in Shanghai, because it is fun and easy to take photos.
Cute little things, I really want to take them all home.
Standing here, you can easily create a large film
Modern Era
On the fourth floor, there are Modern Times, Eternal Love Street, Shenhu Tracing Bar, and Dressing Hall. I recommend this place because you can see Shanghai style old Shanghai here. There are old-fashioned televisions here. I remember when I was a child, the televisions in every household in the alley were like this, but they still exist today. I also discovered a sewing machine and sat down to experience the feeling of stepping on it.
Shanghai Songcheng is particularly interactive and has many projects that can be personally experienced, which makes us enjoy it. This adds a lot of fun compared to taking a horse to watch the show.
At the Modern Dressing Hall, you can also choose to dress up. There are various colors and styles of qipaos to choose from, whether they are gorgeous or elegant. There are also makeup artists who do hairstyles and makeup. Friends who want to experience old Shanghai can give it a try.
After changing clothes, choose your favorite scene to take photos of. There are Chinese, European, and Japanese scenes to choose from.
Let me tell you quietly, the dressing room is also very suitable for taking photos, with a retro feeling and good shooting effects.
Don't miss "Hello Chaplin" from Eternal Love Street. It's fun and humorous, and friends can't help but watch it twice. Because not only do they perform once a day, they can come according to the schedule.
There are many small performances interspersed in the park, so we won't feel bored staying in Songcheng, Shanghai for a whole day. Shanghai Songcheng is a seven story building, with the 2nd and 3rd floors serving as entrances to the Eternal Love Theater. Please carefully check the entrance to the theater on your Eternal Love ticket.
The sky on the first floor is very stunning, and when you look up, you can see the brilliant starry sky.
If you feel a bit hungry after strolling around, you can choose the Starry Sky Restaurant on the second floor or the Snack Plaza on the first floor.
Shanghai's Eternal Love
I also want to watch a lifelong performance called "Shanghai Eternal Love" when I come to Songcheng, Shanghai this time. It uses narrative techniques to tell the past and present of Shanghai through five chapters: "Tracing the Source of Shanghai", "1921", "Modern Times", "Shanghai People", and "The Wind Comes from the Sea". I have watched director Huang Qiaoling's Eternal Love in Sanya and Tanhe, and it has never disappointed me, so this time Shanghai Eternal Love has made me look forward to it even more.
The story about the educated youth going to the countryside moved me deeply. Although I have not experienced it before, my parents experienced the period of educated youth going to the mountains and countryside. At that time in Shanghai, almost every family had children going to other places to support construction, and this journey lasted for decades, leaving endless longing for their families. It's so special that a train actually drove into the stage.
Modern Times portrays the style of Shanghai style old Shanghai, which is also a chapter that I personally enjoy because it is closer to the environment where I was born. Bailemen and Nanjing Road are the places I have visited the most since I was young, and they are quite similar to the scenes in the performance.
In addition to dance performances, there are also exciting acrobatics and dynamic tap dancing, which are breathtaking.
The fairy suddenly descended from the sky and appeared beside us, accompanied by romantic bubbles, as if in a dream, surprising, and the performance of eternal love is so special.
The ending is that Shanghai has changed rapidly, with the whole family sitting together and eating New Year's Eve dinner. The fireworks outside the window are brilliant, symbolizing that a happy life has finally arrived. The one hour performance was very exciting, with actors occasionally coming to interact with everyone off stage. It's truly a must see performance for a lifetime.
There are many activities in Shanghai Songcheng that are suitable for children to play with, and outdoor water activities are deeply loved by children.
If the itinerary of the day is reasonable, you can see many good performances. Remember to bookmark the Song City Tourism Mini Program because it contains information such as scenic area guides, program lists, parking lot guides, and seat consultations, making it convenient for us to play. We entered the park at 11am, so I chose "Shanghai Eternal Love" at 2pm in the afternoon. I recommend places to take photos and check in, such as Elf Valley, Sky Market, and Modern Times.
