This year, I was locked at home by the epidemic for a long time. I wanted to drive to Chongming Island for a walk at the end of the year, so I decided to leave at the end of December.

On the morning of the 27th, my companion drove to pick us up. Soon the car drove into the Yangtze River Tunnel, came out of the tunnel and climbed onto the Yangtze River Bridge, and arrived at Dongtan Wetland Park more than an hour later.

Shanghai Chongming Dongtan Wetland Park is located at the easternmost end of Chongming Island, at the mouth of the Yangtze River. The air here is fresh and the scenery is pleasant. We followed the signs to enter the scenic spot, walked along the plank road, crossed the small wooden bridge and arrived at Yishui Garden, where there is a large platform for tourists to view and rest. As we continued to walk forward, the withered grass on the beach along the river on the left swayed in the wind, as if calling for the arrival of spring. When we entered Queiming Ferry, we didn't see tourists swimming in boats. When we came to the reed cart stack, we didn't see migratory birds in the endless reeds.

It's winter, and despite the scorched yellow vegetation, we can still feel the joy of being close to nature while walking on the plank road. It is said that in autumn and winter, it is the season for migratory birds to migrate. Visitors can stand on the bird watching platform and watch the migratory birds living freely in the reeds, giving people another leisure and fun.

We came to the heron viewing stage and climbed onto the heron viewing stage to look at the entire wetland. The vast golden meadow was dotted with redwoods and green pines, which was very beautiful. It is said that when the season comes, thousands of migratory birds can be seen, and the scene is very spectacular. In the early morning, Dongtan is the place to watch the sunrise, which happens to be the best time to watch birds.

We walked slowly and happily met black swans. A group of black swans perched by the lake. We stopped to watch. Some stood quietly and gracefully, and some whispered to show their love.

It is early spring and late winter. Although the garden is not full of spring, it is not far from pure flowering and warmth. The quiet lake is sparkling, and the Wetland Research Museum is just ahead. Suddenly I heard the sound of geese and looked towards the sound. A group of geese were living in the grass by the lake. The singing of the geese brought vitality to the quiet wetland. It is said that the Dongtan Wetland is the only way for migratory birds to migrate in the Asia-Pacific region and is also a wintering place for waterfowl.

Strolling at the southern end of the Wetland Park, let time slow down with our footsteps, passing through the Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot to the Guanhai Tower. Walking through the wooden bridge is the end of the tour. We bought tickets and took a battery car back. The battery car followed Dongwang East Road. Driving, the fallen leaves of fir trees reflect the red roadbed on both sides, and the towering trees leave a line of sky. My companion said with emotion that this scene is comparable to Canada's maple leaves.
