It seemed that she had a hunch that she wouldn't be able to leave Shanghai during this winter vacation, so she booked the Zhuli Club for the Spring Festival as early December. At that time, I just thought about finding a place to soak in soup during the winter vacation.
Transportation:
If you drive by yourself, navigate directly to the "Juliyaji Parking Lot". There are both ground and underground parking lots, so you can park your car underground. The underground parking lot has signs that lead you all the way to the door of Zhulijushe. However, there is no elevator and you have to climb a flight of stairs, which makes it a little inconvenient to hold your luggage. The parking fee is 20 yuan per day, and an additional 20 yuan will be charged for more than 24 hours. Zhuli Jushe will reimburse the parking fee for one day.
Check-in:
We arrived after 12 o'clock and went to the front desk to check in. We thought we would not be able to check in until 2 p.m., but because it was the smallest Zen house, the previous guest left early, so it had already been cleaned and could go directly into the room. It was great!
When checking in, the front desk staff said that there would be an extra charge for children's breakfast because breakfast was on order. We checked and found that the 2 breakfast for adults was very large, so we didn't order for children's breakfast separately. Families with children are recommended to bring their own children's toiletries, including not only toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, etc., but also waterproof slippers and bathrobes. In winter, bring a coat that is easy to put on and take off.
The hotel really wanted to complain about the bathrobes provided by the hotel, they were so ugly... they were like monk clothes or work clothes.
Facilities:
The hotel has a total of 4 floors. On the first floor, there is a lobby and a self-service bar. There are free coffee and tea in it, but usually no one goes.
There is also a bathhouse, a reading room and a conference room.
The second floor is the restaurant.
The third and fourth floors are guest rooms. Our room was on the 4th floor. A friend who stayed there suggested that we stay in a room farther away from the elevator, which was said to be noisy. Our room was far away from the elevator, but the floor in the corridor was creaking when walking. I usually paid more attention to it when I walked by myself. Until the morning before checking out, I found that the corridor was very noisy. Maybe there were fewer people walking around in the afternoon and at night, so I didn't notice that the sound insulation in the room was so poor. As for the sound of the air conditioner that many people complained about, they probably slept soundly and didn't pay much attention.
The room is said to be 30 square meters. In fact, it feels a little small. It is decorated like a house in rural Japan, with a kettle hanging inside! Although I don't know how to appreciate it, I still find the tea set on the table very pleasing to the eye. There are two biscuits and a few orange cakes in the food box. Thank you very much!
Outside the window was farmland that seemed a little deserted in winter, with the bare white soil. The whole hotel feels like a house for hermits, simple and unpretentious.
Buyu:
The bathhouse is open from 17:00 to 22:00 in mid-week. There is a bathing etiquette on the table in the room. It is said that it should be soaked once before dinner and before going to bed, each time for about 15 minutes. So we returned to the hotel at 17:30 and changed into the hotel bathrobe in the room. Alas-the bathrobes are black and always ugly ~~ Then, go to the bathhouse on the first floor. At that time, another mother and daughter couple had just finished soaking and were about to leave, so it was just Lu Lu and I for the next half hour.
It's really a bathhouse! Take off the bathrobe and place it in the basket, then go to the inside to soak naked. There is only a square pool in the inner space. The water in the shower was a little cold, but the water in the pool was very hot. Victory is that there is no one! After soaking for a while, it became a little stuffy. The fog was dense, and I couldn't see the view outside the glass window. There was also a layer of bamboo curtain outside the glass window. If you could have an open-air pool, you might be able to soak for a longer time. The indoor pool is so boring ~~ so it will only take half an hour at most! We went back to our room.
Before going to bed, we went for a soak again. This time there were more people. When there were more people, the water felt a little turbid. There were also children wearing swimming glasses and swimming in it!
Because the water in the soup pond was not very hot, I soaked in it for a while longer, until only Lu Lu and I were left. When we left at 22:00, no staff came.
What I have to say is, because there were many people who were soaking up the soup at night, when we came out, there were no dry towels. Obviously, there were many lower-quality guests who threw the towels everywhere. There was obviously a recycling basket for used towels. I just wanted to throw the towels on the stool next to me, but I don't know what reason. I still want to appeal to everyone to be civilized tourists.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.. We arrived on the second floor at around 9:30. The waiter introduced us to a private room where breakfast for about 4 rooms was already placed on the long table. The fire for cooking in Oden was ordered on the spot, and white rice and grilled fish were served later. We are the first group of guests in this private room. I didn't expect that we, who always have breakfast late, would still rush early? There are 4 pairs of mother and daughter in the private room next door. Probably because they are people we know, they chatted loudly throughout the meal. Unlike ours, when two groups of guests came later, everyone communicated very quietly. This atmosphere is very comfortable.
My husband and I shared some white rice with Lu Lu, and the little guy cooked breakfast with Oden. Overall, all the meals were light. As for me, I can actually have a good time eating hot spring egg bibimbap! Then, perhaps because they were afraid of oxidizing the apples, they soaked them in salt water in advance. The apples were salty, causing the children to not even eat the fruits. Next to us was a mother with two children. They didn't pay for extra breakfast for the children, but the store kindly gave them an extra portion of rice and miso soup.
So, I think the service is not bad!
Copy scripture:
After breakfast, I went to the reading room on the first floor to have a look. We seemed to be the third one because two tables were empty. We chose a table and sat down and began to paint red. As a result, the child fell down after writing two words. It was so hard for her to write Braille! Later, several more people came. We copied 2 lines and went back to our room to make preparations for the day. As a result, the hairstyle of Hanfu was really time-consuming. Even though I had already bought a fake headband for the children, I wonder if there is a more convenient and beautiful wig? Study again next time.
It took almost more than an hour to finally get rid of the children and myself. I rushed out of the room and went back to the reading room to continue taking photos. I can't let down such a outfit and such an environment! It lasted for an hour, so that it was already 1:30 when we left.
Dongtian Restaurant:
Originally, I just wanted to find a hotel to soak in soup, but I found out that Zhuli Club was in the ancient town of Zhujiajiao, and the bathhouse was only open at night. Therefore, visiting ancient towns has become an indispensable link.
There are only a few stores open in the area where Juli Jushe is located, and they are all chain stores, such as Starbucks, Wutiaoren, Manji Desserts, McDonald's, etc. The entire area is not very popular. I thought it was because of weekdays, but I didn't walk a few steps to North Street, but the street was crowded with people and I almost didn't dare to enter. Fortunately, after entering, it was not so crowded that I couldn't walk. I really didn't expect that there would be so many people in Zhujiajiao on weekdays!
The most restaurants in Zhujiajiao Ancient Town are farmhouse dishes. We chose a restaurant called "Dongtian Restaurant". The facade is so small that I almost missed it.
First walk through a narrow long corridor, then pass through the kitchen, and then the dining room. The restaurant has two floors and there was an empty seat by the window near the river, so we didn't go up to the second floor. It was already past 1 o'clock when we sat down and there weren't many guests. I thought every store had paella, but there was only egg fried rice here... I wanted to order fish-flavored shredded pork, but the landlady reminded that the current fish-flavored shredded pork is not cooked with rice bamboo but with eggplant. It may not taste very good, so I had to give up. Thanks to the boss for reminding me! So I settled for the next best thing. I ordered a white water shrimp, my husband ordered a stir-fried screw, and another piece of pork. Because the store gave us a small bowl of pickles, we ordered two bowls of white rice. The food is served quickly. Looking at the basin not very big, but it was quite deep, so we ate the screws and white water shrimp hard before finishing... A basin of screws cost 10 yuan, we thought it was really cost-effective. Later, when we went out to shop, we sold it for 3 yuan, and even 1 yuan in the store! Why is it so cheap? The white water shrimp taste average, and I feel that some of the shrimps are not very fresh. Children only like to eat steamed meat, which is said to be the meat in rice dumplings! So I finished eating one and ordered another. The pickles are okay, but they are relatively good with rice. They are not very salty and a little sweet. If only they could be cut more finely! We ate 99 yuan for a meal, and we thought it was not bad. But this may be the price of an Internet celebrity store. There are also many restaurants where if you go to eat in the afternoon when it's not time for lunch, you will have special prices, which will definitely be more cost-effective.
Shopping:
After eating, we continued to stroll. This is the third time I have visited Zhujiajiao, and I actually feel different every time. Maybe he was with a child who liked shopping more and more, so he was shopping and eating, and found it very interesting to visit the ancient town. Bring some wine dumplings that you put in a cup, oil dumplings that you haven't eaten for a long time, wrapped maltose, and wine dumplings and orange cakes that are sold in many stalls. Because there is no refrigerator in the hotel, I plan to buy rice dumplings when I leave the next day. I have always thought that the rice dumplings in Zhujiajiao are very delicious! As a result, I left in a hurry the next day and forgot to buy...
I happened to pass by a shop selling sachets. The small shop was very clean and all kinds of spices were neatly placed. The little lady introduced us to several recipes, each of which was 35 yuan, and the sachets were given free. Difficulty in choosing finally chose a satisfactory sachet and matched it with a children's spice. It smelled very light in the store, but when I returned to the hotel, I found that the aroma was still very strong. The small sachet hangs right around the waist and becomes an accessory for the next day's Hanfu.
The children wanted to buy a fan again because they recently read "Dream of the Red Chamber" about Baochai attacking butterflies. There were obviously many fans at home, but after seeing it on the street, I wanted to buy one. After all, I finally bought a folding fan before returning to the hotel.
On Zhujiajiao, the one with the more crowded crowds is North Street, but the other streets are fine. I climbed up a wooden bridge from a small alley. After crossing the river, I saw a cultural and creative store that sold postcards. I had to send a postcard to myself! I just wonder if the postcards in this store were photos taken by the owner himself? The shooting is not as good as me! I wanted to ask my boss to help deliver it, but my boss told me that there would be a scenic spot called "Daqing Post Office" about 10 minutes away. There was a mailbox at the door and I could deliver it myself. You have to go by yourself! So I went hand in hand with Lu Lu to send a postcard. Then I found that the shops along the way were completely different from North Street. They were all cafes ~~ I really wanted to go in and have afternoon tea! But we decided to go back to the hotel before dinner and soak up the soup, so we didn't have afternoon tea.
However, I thought it would be a long time, so I planned to not go out at night. It would be troublesome to get dressed in winter, but because the soaking time was unexpectedly short, I decided to visit the ancient town at night.
At night, there were still many people on the main streets, and many shops were closing one after another. The streets across the river were relatively deserted, and almost all shops were closed. When we walked to the cafe street, it was really dark, and only a few cafes were still open. After all, it is only a street of cafes, not bars. I originally wanted to eat at a hidden bar, which looked quite lively, but I was flipping through the menu at the door. It was too rough and I didn't want to eat so wild at night.
Traveller coffee:
At first, we were just attracted by the short-footed corki in front of their house, but in the end, we were hooked by this dog and introduced to this store.
The store is very small, has 2 floors, and only has 5 or 6 tables in total. It is well decorated and is more suitable for drinking tea, drinking coffee and chatting. It was late at night, and we were also looking for a place to eat. Keki's name was Preserved Egg and took us to a private room on the second floor. Their drinks are 50 yuan and tea is 50 yuan per person. We ordered one pasta and one fried rice, both for 45 yuan. Well, it's the price of a general cafe. The quantity is not large, but it can be full. The taste of the rice is stronger. The pasta is quite suitable for children. It is relatively light and not as strong as the sauce fried at home. Find a cafe for dinner on a night when there is little scenery,
Fortunately, there is a dog that can add some fun to the dog, so that the meal will not be so boring.
We entered the Grand View Garden at 2:30 p.m., less than 2 hours before the park closed. But we were quite leisurely at that time because we didn't think of knowing the closing time in advance. Fortunately, I didn't know, otherwise I wouldn't be so leisurely.
After entering the gate, I first looked at the map and decided to start shopping at Yihong Courtyard on the left. Baoyu's Yihong Courtyard is very large, with many rooms and courtyards. The children enjoyed feeding the fish. This should be the courtyard where we spent the most time, half an hour.
Then we spent half an hour shooting plum blossoms outside Longcui Nun. It seems that in the book it is said that there are plum blossoms in Longcui Nun, but here there are plum blossoms outside. Moreover, a few plum blossoms grow denser and the trees are relatively clean. There are almost no weeds and trees to cause trouble. It is the easiest place to take photos.
Longcui Nunnery is not so good. Bodhisattva is served in the main hall. It is a place where we can really burn incense and worship Buddha. We didn't spend much time before coming out.
Then stroll to the stage and Daguanlou. I don't know if there is such a place in the book. It is built very generously and several white magnolia trees are very tall and are in full bloom. There is a vending machine here that sells key chains from Rongguo Mansion. It looks very good. It costs 39 yuan each. I regret not buying one on the spot, but I never saw it later.
Then, the children saw a pool of red carp feeding the fish again, and left satisfied until they had eaten all the food in their hands.
As a result, it was already 4:30. The Grand View Garden was closed quietly, and the doors of each courtyard were locked. Tourists could not enter, so they had to leave. The weather is particularly good today, and the sun is still high! In Daoxiang Village, we saw another piece of Merlin. However, these plum trees are planted with thick and tall plants that are not suitable for stepping on, and there are many tall trees around them, so they are not particularly suitable for taking photos.
Because it was closed, Daoxiang Village, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, and Wuwu Garden were unable to go to. In fact, if you walk around casually, the Grand View Garden is not very big because the distance between the courtyards is only the front and back feet. Because we take various photos, it takes more time. Because there are not many tourists, the experience of the tour is still very good. There are only a few people I meet when I go shopping. There are also people who come wearing Hanfu like us.
In other words, if I were the director of the garden, I would find some people to stage a Dream of Red Mansions in the garden every day to give tourists an immersive experience, rather than putting in a few 80s dummies (The problem is, dummies are not everywhere.); If I were the director of the park, all tourists wearing Hanfu could have discounted tickets; if I were the director of the park, I would definitely hold some traditional activities during the holidays to attract tourists; If I were the director of the park, I would definitely hire a photographer who is especially good at taking photos (the photos from the official Weibo of Guyu Garden are particularly good!) I take photos of small scenery from time to time; if I were the director of the garden, I would definitely raise a small pet as the mascot of the Grand View Garden... By then, the Grand View Garden will definitely be crowded with tourists, so we can't stroll around the garden so leisurely... There are always pros and cons to everything.
The sun is setting, and I am reluctant to part with it. I have regrets and come again next time.
